"Jeonso and Beomgyu?? Nah, I don't think so!" Hyunjin butts into the conversation, startling both Taehyun and Hyuka. The two gave a bemused look to the older boy as he sat,
"Jeonso is his friend since childhood, They are just clingy because they know each other well-"
"Jeongin Hyung was a friend since childhood too, They aren't clingy at all." Taehyun reasoned, wrapping his arms across his chest, and Hyunjin shook his head,
"Every friendship has it's own diversity Tyun! And even if it is something more than a friendship, why do we care?" Hyunjin, dramatic much, voices, pouting after reasoning.
"Because--"
"Yeah, you're right." Taehyun cuts the youngest and smiles convincingly, No matter how much Kai wanted their hyungs to know about who caused Taehyun to get Hanahki, Taehyun wouldn't let him.
"Okay... Uhm, I gotta go, alright?" The two nodded their heads as Hyunjin ruffled their hair before leaving, Taehyun took a small sip of his strawberry juice, It has been about five days since Taehyun started to cough his petals, he isn't fully used to it yet but the hardest thing was the torturing pain he received at night, every time the rose in his lungs grew even an inch, it caused Taehyun pain. The first thing he could think of was Beomgyu, at those time,
'Beomgyu Hyung must've dealt with this...' He had thought and felt sorry, but fuck it all because now, even the boy doesn't know what kind of a relationship he has had with Beomgyu since recently. It is honestly frustrating because Taehyun understood Beomgyu all the time but this time, he really can't tell what is wrong with the older boy, but at the end of the day, Taehyun just thought that he'll have to take Beomgyu's remarks with a pinch of salt.
"Kai, Taehyun!!" Another new voice calls out, running at full speed towards the boys and sitting, smiling.
"Oh, Hwangju-ya! Annyeong~" Kai smiles back, Tehyun too bumped his fist with Hwangju, Taehyun wanted to ask Beomgyu why the fuck he had assumed that this boy was the boy, because hell! no offense but as he stared at the boy, Taehyun realized how he wasn't a bit of his type. ABIT.
"Wanna hang out tomorrow?? I heard Chaerin is having a party!"
Kai looked at Taehyn and saw how he wasn't interested, so he sheepishly smiled before hesitantly shaking his head,
"Sorry~ We are going out with the hyungs tomorrow," Hwangju pouted, but he just shrugged it off soon,
"Okay, no problem. anyway—"
"Oh, There's Gyu hyung!" Kai raised his hand and started to wave at the older boy who was talking with his two best friends, and the boys waved back before starting to stroll towards them,
Taehyun wasn't ready for anything dramatic with Beomgyu this fine morning, And in the meantime, Taehyun panicked, then got up.
"Hold ya horses cowboy, Where you going?" Kai queried,
"I... Have Chemistry now, I'll get going," Taehyun didn't wait for his friend's reply, instead he got up hastily and dumped the empty carton of juice into the dustbin and smiled sheepishly when they, the three hyungs of his were suddenly in front of his face,
"Tyun! where you going?" Hwangju exclaimed, taking Taehyun by surprise with the nickname and the trio was staring at them too.
"Ahh, I've got a lecture, C-chemistry..." He jumps out of the bench when the boys sat, and turned to his sole to leave but his backpack was pushed back,
"The Chemistry department's freshmen don't have lectures today,"
Busted.
"But I-I still have somewhere to go to-"
"Geez, I've got to run, see you all around." Hwangju butted in, his hand landed on Taehyun's hand which had rested on the table next to Bemgyu and gave it a squeeze as an act of saying he is leaving and skipped off from all of their sights.
Beomgyu was staring at Taehyun's pretty hand for about ten seconds before spacing back into Earth.
"Why do you lie? and why are you avoiding us?" Beomgyu queried, but Taehyun was pretty sure he just asked him that to make him uncomfortable, he can guess by the tone of his voice.
'Us? I've been avoiding you. Not all of them.' Taehyun wanted to say but instead, he said—
"I'm not! Stop assuming shit out of the blue, Beomgyu Hyung. It's getting annoying!" Jeongin and Kai looked at each other, so not ready for whatever drama Beomgyu will be producing,
"I doubt if I'm assuming or is it just that I am good at guessing, But in all honesty—" Beomgyu pulled the backpack a little harder so Taehyun would slump onto the bench, inches close to him and the younger boy as facing him nervously,
"Are you sure what I had assumed at Haelmoni's place the other day isn't right?" He whispered next to Taehyun's ears and the younger got out of his grasp, irritated.
"If you want to know why I'm avoiding you, it's this. I can't stand you, not you in general, but you being mean to me. I'm so done with it and with you! That's why I wanna leave and not stay around you!"
Taehyun was breathing fast after he rapped his complaint to Beomgyu, Beomgyu tilted his head to a side like he was a toddler who was definitely and most certainly not aware of this, the two continued staring at each other in an awkward tension and he clears his throat,
"Okay..." That's all that Beomgyu could say, he wasn't taken aback, there was like a smile like a thing on his face and Taehyun moved away, and shook his head before moving away. He hoped for an explanation, a little sympathy at least but nothing.
He walked himself into a stall in the washroom and pursed his lips to make his sobs inaudible, he hates how Beomgyu doesn't give a fuck about him when he needs him the most.
And for the cherry on top, Beomgyu is the cause of everything, and this really sucks, sucks to an extent where Taehyun even has to hide his tears from Beomgyu.
He did not expect to fall in love with Beomgyu this fast, this soon because he assumed it to be a crush but how did it suddenly jump into love from a fucking crush? Geez, Taehyun felt so wrecked and he didn't know what to do. He wiped his tears away and raked his hair back but tears were flowing down again and again,
"Shi—"
"Normal humans lock the door, Bell." Taehyun flinched in surprise and turned around to see Beomgyu, and the older boy entered the stall and locked the door properly after entering, Taehyun, trying to create some space, pushed himself onto the wall,
"Hyung, get out—"
"And let you cry here alone? No." The room was small for two people and Taehyun needed oxygen to breathe, but Beomgyu looked unbothered.
"Have you confessed?"
"Wha— To whom?!"
"Hwangju?"
Ahh, here he goes again.
"Beomgyu Hyung I do not like him, what the actual fuck is the deal between him and you?!" Taehyun threw his fists onto Beomgyu's chest, which the older lowkey found adorable but its lowkey for a reason.
"Then tell me!"
"Why and.. And what?!" Taehyun asked louder and Beomgyu shushed him, The younger rolled his eyes in response,
"You're loud,"
"I can shout louder If you won't leave me here and now!"
"It's pointless,"
"And why?"
"Because it has less point, now, tell me who—"
"What's the purpose? ok, Let's say I tell you, and then what?!"
"Taehyun, are you that dense?? if you tell me, I can find a way to somehow make him fall in love with you and take you out of this fucking shit! I wanna help you, so bad. Please, I don't wanna see you end up like me because trust me, you'll regret it."
Uhm, well Taehyun is furthermore confused.
So, is this what Beomgyu wanted all along? to make his Bellsprout's life less shitty? But isn't his idea dumb as fuck at the same time? Making the certain someone fall in love, like what's he thinking?
But Taehyun cannot. Just cannot because he knows if he tells Beomgyu that he has feelings for him, Beomgyu would feel guilty and out of his mind because 1) He doesn't wanna fall in love again, Beomgyu, I mean, and 2) He just got out of one bad chapter in his life, then 3) ALL OF THESE WOULD SOUND SO ABSURD!
"I won't... I can't," Beomgyu clicks his tongue, stepping closer and bends just a tad bit down to meet Taehyun's eye level, Taehyun avoids his eyes, and looks down at his feet.
"Just like how you didn't tell us who you loved was, I won't too, I've looked up to you since I've known you." Taehyun, when he knew Beomgyu was spacing out, reached out for the lock and opened the door before leaving the stall and turned the door knob of the washroom door to leave, but it was Beomgyu again who stopped him,
"I gave you all one clue, though."
"A-about the boy." He said, and Taehyun turned back and smiled faintly, thought for a while, and faced the crimson-haired.
"All I can say is that although he has been around for a very long time, only recently I started to notice—"
"Notice how perfect and ethereal he is, He understands me, he understood me. That'd be my clue, Hyung."
