We make our way back to the hideout still handing hands.
My cheeks began to flush under my mask because he didn't let go yet.
I pull mine away from him.
"Oh sorry."
"Don't worry about it." He looked down at me.
We stare at each other for a little bit before a sudden thought popped into my head.

"Sooooo Mr Uchiha." I placed my hands behind my back and walked in circles around him.
"Yes?" He stood there not moving.
"You still haven't answered my question."
"Oh."
"Yes I need to know why you've been watching me."
"It's ok to like tell me I won't get mad."
"Well actually the reason is—"
"Ohohoho what do we have here?" Hidan walked in the room swinging his scythe around.
I sighed and sent him a glare over where he stood.
"Would you stop that and come on already." Kakuzu grunted next to him.
"No look Kakuzu." He chuckled.
"The emo guy and the brat are flirting."
"Kudos Itachi didn't think you had it in you." He let out a loud laugh as if he couldn't contain it anymore.
Kakuzu sighed as his team mate poked fun at us.
"It's nothing like that."
"I was just asking Itachi a question isn't that right?"
Itachi stood quietly next to me watching and I let out a sigh.
"Seems to me you guys are a little too close for comfort."
"He's not a man of much words anyways."
"Hidan shut up before I chop you up and scatter your body parts in different locations."
"I'd love to see you do it."
"But she has...chopped you up to be exact."
"Hnnn Kakuzu shut up ok!"
"Why do always have to go and rain on my parade?!"
"Just stating the facts." He said.
"Didn't she have you tied up to a tree knocked out or something? Shut up."
I would laugh at the scene displayed before me but I didn't want to bring anymore attention to myself.
While they were arguing I whispered over to Itachi.
"Maybe we should just go back to our rooms."
He side eyed me and briefly nodded.
"Yes that would be the best choice."
At the same time we disappeared from that very spot. Itachi dispersing in crows and I just simply vanish.
"Now look they got away thanks to you!"
"Don't get mad at me cause you're sensitive."
"You know what Kakuzu shut the hell up."

"Yamiiiiiiii channn Tobi wants you to make him delicious food again."
"Huh is that so Tobi?" I giggled and looked down at him as he was laying on my carpet.
"Yes yes yess the food was just so good mmm mmm mmm."
"Tobi's a good boy and he can't wait to have it again."
He began rolling around on my carpet.
I placed my hand over my mask and let out a laugh.
"Tobi you know you're really adorable."
"Huh? Is Yamii Chan in love with meee?" He sat up on my carpet and looked at me.
"Sweetie I'm just paying you a compliment."
"Hurrayyy! Compliments from Yami Chan are the best."
"Yami Chan can I ask you a question?"
"Sure go ahead."
"Are you and Itachi...you know like secret lovers or something."
My cheeks flush under my mask and I shake my head no at him.
"No it's nothing like that."
"Does Yami Chan like Itachi?"
"I...well... We'll save that one for another time."
"It's not like we can actually be together...After I fulfill my mission I have no desire to be present in this world."
"So I wouldn't want to waste his time or mine either."
"Ohhh I seee."
"Wait Yami Chan you want to die?!" He sprung up off my carpet in sudden realization.
"It's not that I want to die but it's that I have no desire to live."
"But it's the same thing."
"It's not if you look at it in a different way."
"Ohhh...Yami Chan I didn't know you felt that way." He stared up at me in wonder.
"Yeah."
"So why did you join the Akatsuki?"
"Well I thought it would help me track a certain someone I've been looking for down."
"I have no interest in the follies of taking innocent jinchuurikis lives."
"But we want to bring the world to peace and everyone will be happy yayyy."
I sighed and leaned back on my bed.
"In my opinion Tobi that's not the way to do it."
"Peace requires sacrifice." His voice now became deep as if he flipped a switch.
I look over at him as he was now currently standing up.
"But what about the pain that sacrifice causes? I believe there is another way you guys just chose the wrong one."
"Seems like slaughtering a village has brought you wisdom."

"This is reality everything can't always have a good ending."
"But you can try." I said.
"Greedy and selfish evil people make the world what it is, tainting the light with dark but it's never to late to at least try."

I bit my lip as I pondered about what to say.
"It's always a better way to handle things."
"I don't hate the people that I've killed but I have no remorse for what I did either."
"I pray their souls rest in peace but I'm not sorry for what I did to them either."

I finally get a good look at him and see a Sharingan peeking out the hole in his mask.
"You're quite the one to talk Tobi."
He chuckled and crossed his arms.
"We shall be speaking again."
He disappeared right before my eyes.

I get up and leave my room to go take a walk outside.
As I'm making my way through the forest a crow flew past my face and I turned around and there he was.
"So is that how you really see the world?"
