we cut to the plane landing as a font reads
"Biosyn Sanctuary, Dolomite mountains, Italy".
A helicopter parks outside and a door opens to reveal a young man coming out to meet Alan and Ellie. The Head Of Communications at Biosyn, Ramsey Cole, stepped outside the heli. He was dressed in a multicoloured button-up T-Shirt with a dark purple pair of pants and a jacket. His hair was short and well-kept. He closed his eyes briefly as he breathed in the pleasant aroma of the mountains before he walked over to the two doctors, a wide grin on his face.
"Doctor Sattler, Doctor Grant, Ramsey Cole, Head of Communications." He said as he shook them both by the hands excitedly.
Sattler thanked the young man whilst Grant merely nodded. They walked with the new friend as he explained what they'd be doing for the next few days.
"Uh, I have to warn you, everyone's so excited to have you. You guys are absolute legends around here." He beamed, and Sattler chuckled.
"Hm, you must be confusing us with somebody else." She joked.
Ramsey is head of communications at Biosyn. Known for his gentle behavior and happy personality- Ramsey rode to the top of the ranks in a matter of no time. Ramsey is against controlling creatures and genetically modified animals, which is why he works at Biosyn and not INGEN.
"You know, it's great that you guys are still so close to Doctor Malcolm. I mean, sometimes you meet your heroes and they disappoint you but he's exactly the way you'd want him to be. I mean, such fertility of thought, it's incredible!"
Grant rolled his eyes, annoyed with Ian. He still hadn't truly gotten over his jealousy of the man. "How much time do you spend with him"
"Uh well I know that was sarcastic but honestly not enough. Oh please have to watch your head."
Ramsey stood out of the way, allowing the two to enter a new helicopter before he got in himself.
We get several shots of the helicopter out in the air, soaring over several large and beautiful mountains with snow delicately placed upon them like icing on a cake. They overpassed a dam that had long since frozen over, snow had begun to cover the top layer of the ice as well.
The only part of the valley that hadn't been submerged in the snow was the sanctuary itself. Large, Green trees were seen through the almost bright snow. Fields and forests, swamps and rivers stretched out for miles.
We then go back to the three. We hear Ramsey explaining the history of Biosyn and what they do.
"So Biosyn bought this land for the amber deposits back in the 90s, but we've managed to turn it into a haven for about 60 displaced species. Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Stygimoloch, Parasaurolophus, Ankylosaurus, Spinosaurus, Carnotaurus, Dilophosaurus- You name it, we have it. The first generation came from Sorna. Most of the Nublar dinosaurs are here too. As well as any other species from the other islands as well. It took fish and wildlife around three years to catch the T. rex."
Grants and Sattlers eyes widened with Horror. The Tyrannosaur was here?!
"T-The T.Rex... Is here..?" Grant stammered, memories flooding back to him.
Ramsey smiled softly, lowering his voice to calm the two.
"Oh yeah. Yeah. Arrived just before you guys. And don't worry, I understand that you've had some history with the T.Rex and I understand your horror- I truly do. But I must say that all the dinosaurs are kept far away from all the people."
Grant furrowed his brow.
"Y'know, that's what they said when they invited us to Nublar."
Ramsey smiled.
"Don't worry. For every 10 herbivores, there's a carnivore. You're more likely to be stepped on by an apatosaurus."
That seemed to calm the two down, for now at least.
A radio activated and announced-
"Aerial deterrent systems activated."
"Restricted airspace. Protects the airborne life. Keeps the pterosaurs below 500 feet. It's true-" Ramsey began to explain. Grant cut him off.
"Is that a group of Sauropods?"
Ellie looks over his shoulder and sees a massive herd of different sauropods resting in the water.
Dreadnaughtus, Mamenchisaurus, Apatosaurus, Diplodocus and even Brachiosaurus all wallowed in a lake below them, trumpeting to one another as they turned to look at the strange new flying object.
Ramsey grinned.
"Beautiful, right? Some of the largest creatures to ever roam. But of course, you already know that."
Sattler turned to him.
"What do they graze on?" She asked.
"Hawthorn and firm. All indigenous. Nothing was stocked except for the deer and fish populations. Great prey for the apex predator."
He had now caught Grant's attention again.
"Apex predator?"
"Giganotosaurus. At least for now."
Grant and Sattler turn to the forest floor below them, looking at a large shadow beneath them. It growled as the Heli flew over it. Someday, those shaved apes would fail and they could get whatever they wanted.
Ellie cleared her throat as she turned back once again.
"Uhm, you don't let people in there, right?"
Ramsey gave a concerned look. Before he chuckled to himself.
"No. Our-our, uh our research outposts are connected completely underground. If we have to, we could just herd the animals remotely using a neuro implant that sends electrical signals directly to the brain."
Grant turned back, confused.
"Like shocks?*
"Uh no, li-like signals.*
Grant looked at Sattler.
"Doesn't that strike you as a little bit, uh..."
"Cruel?"
"Cruel."
"Do you know how much voltage was in the electric fences at Jurassic Park?" Was the response they got from Ramsey.
Grant grimaced, more memories coming back to him.
"Yeah."
We then see a beautiful view of Biosyn headquarters the as the helicopter lands in the centre of the facility. The building is large and has a doughnut-like shape to it. You could fit several hundred dinosaurs in the open area alone! Statues and fountains are scattered across the yard, young people on their way from one area to another. An announcement plays.
"Please attend Doctor Ian Malcolm's lecture in the lecture hall for the ethics of Genetic power."
The trio are walking through the outside of the facility, Grant and Sattler gawking at all the strange new sights.
"God, everyone's so young." He groaned.
Ramsey smiled as he walked beside them.
"Oh well, it is part of our ethos to attract the best and brightest."
A voice is heard behind them, they turn to see a man with white short hair and glasses walking up to them.
"Doctors. Respected. Renowned. Doctor Sattler. Doctor Grant. I'm-wow this is big. I'm-I'm Lewis." The man said as he shook them both by the hand.
Sattler smiled warmly as she shook his hand.
"Dodgson. Yeah."
"Hi."
Grant furrowed his brow, pointing at him. He had expected a man in a black and white suit, holding a cigar and a fat roll of cash.
"You're Lewis Dodgson?"
Lewis grinned as he shook the doctor's hand.
"And how do you do?"
"We didn't expect to see you here." Sattler said.
"Oh well. I- Uh, wouldn't be anywhere else. I mean the people you see here who are changing the world. Would you mind if-" Lewis explained as he pointed at two cameramen, Grant sighed in annoyance.
"We just-"
"It would mean a lot."
Alan and Ellie traded places. Grant didn't smile.
Lewis shooed them away with his hand.
"Great. Thank you so much."
Grant, Sattler, Ramsey and Dodgson all began to walk inside. Lewis began to explain to them what would be going on for them that day.
"So you are going to see some remarkable things today. We are unlocking the true power of the genome- This close!!"
Sattler turned to him, smiling.
"You could make a fortune with that."
Dodgson chuckled. Shaking his head.
"No, no, no, it's not about money. No, we've already identified dozens of applications for paleo DNA we're talking about cancer, dementia, and autoimmune We will be saving lives. Um anyway, I wish I could take you around myself but it's so you're in more than capable hands with Ramsey. He's basically a young me. Only smarter and taller."
Ramsey smiled softly.
"Do you have food? Like one of my bars?"
"Pardon?"
"No never mind. I'll-I'll find something. So I want to do more of this later on if we- uh we booked you a private pod for the trip out. So it's beautiful. you'll love it. though, you better hurry. Malcolm's on. He's a bit of a contrarian but I like him. He keeps us on our toes. Anyway, thank you for being here. It's- Uh. See ya later."
Dodgson then left. Leaving the three in confusion. Ramsey spoke up.
"Okay, follow me, please."
The three enter a room, there's a stage in the middle and a lot of people are sitting around it. In the middle, there's a man. The three stand in the doorway, listening to the lecture.
"Human beings have no more right to safety or liberty than any other creature on this planet. We not only lack dominion over nature, but we're also supportive of it. Now, here we are with the opportunity to rewrite life at our fingertips and just like nuclear power. Nobody knew what to expect with genetic engineering but they pressed the button and hoped for the best just like you are doing now. Yep, control the future of our survival on planet Earth. According to you, the solution is genetic power. But that same power could devastate the food supply. Creating new diseases alters the climate even further. Unforeseen consequences occur. And every time, every single time We all act surprised because deep down, I don't think that any of us believe that these dangers are real."
The man turned to look up at the three, pausing for a second. He cleared his throat and continued.
"In order to instigate revolutionary change, we must transform human consciousness."
The crowd erupts into cheers for him. We later cut to outside with the man surrounded by a crowd of people, all talking to one another. The man is signing autographs and chatting with the crowd.
"Very good. There you go. Hey, I don't want to be rude about friends. Thank you. Catch me on my way out. Thanks, everybody!"
Ian Malcolm walked up to the two, grinning like a Cheshire cat. Grant rolled his eyes. Ian looked the two up and down for a moment.
"Look at you. Look at me. Oh, look at you. Wow, this is so trippy." He said, a soft chuckle escaping.
Grant raised a brow, unhappy that he was talking to Malcolm once again.
Ian Malcolm is a Mathematician who was sent to Jurassic Park to give his opinion on the park. After a fateful two days within Jurassic Park- Ian, alongside 5 other survivors were rescued. Ian later visited Islar Sorna to rescue his girlfriend from the island- Getting into another Jurassic nightmare yet again.
"You look like you're doing well."
"Well, I got five kids. You know, I adore, Uh, more than life itself. So, expenses added up. You, Alan, are you, you have a family or-?"
Grant smiled, annoyed.
"No."
Sattler pulled the two men to the side.
"So I need to talk to you."
Malcolm stuffed his hands in his pockets
"Yeah, I need to talk to you too. Privately."
Grant spoke up.
"Do you two talk a lot?"
Sattler turned to face him.
"He slid into my DMs."
"He did what?!"
"It's urgent."
Grant glared at Malcolm.
"What'd you do?"
"7 minutes to midnight stuff."
Malcolm chuckled, shaking his head.
"Uh, the doomsday clock might be about out of time. But, as they say- it's always darkest just before eternal nothingness."
Grant and Sattler looked at each other for a second.
"What?"
The scene changes to inside the headquarters. Grant, Sattler and Malcolm are all walking down a set of stairs towards a food plaza. Ramsey is not too far behind them. Sattler is explaining what is unfolding across the world.
"Locusts altered with cretaceous era DNA."
Malcolm's brow furrowed.
"Yeah, that's not my field." He muttered.
"Yeah, but these things continue to multiply. We're talking about catastrophic system-wide effects, Ian."
Malcolm rolled his eyes.
"Gosh, that's a drag."
Grant and Sattler stopped walking.
"Drag?!"
"What is the matter with you?!"
Malcolm stopped and turned to face the two.
"What, is there something special we're going to do?" He asked.
Grant lost his temper.
"How about you try to give a damn?!"
Malcolm merely sighed, annoyed.
"Hey, I-I gave my opinion robustly for years as expected to some part- uh, even the difference led to our annihilation and the only thing to-uh do now is to take the time we have left and you know, just do what we always do and squander it."
Sattler stared in anger.
"Honestly, Ian, that's bullshit"
Malcolm turned and walked over to a coffee store.
"Can I offer you guys some Joe? Uh Tyler, please, two cappuccinos."
Grant clenched his fist as he walked over.
"I don't want a cappuccino."
"Trust me, The Jetlag's toughthat'lll perk you right up."
Grant began attempting to get the baristas to cancel the order. The Barista began a coffee, wait- a loud hiss filled the air. This was Malcolm's chance, he leaned in close to Sattler's ear and began whispering.
"The locusts are part of a large project called "the hexapod allies". You were right about their intentions. I started here over 6 weeks ago."
Grant continued to argue with the baristas.
Sattler began to explain again
"They're breeding wildly and living 3 times longer than they should! And all my models are pointing toward a global ecological collapse, Ian."
Malcolm handed her a keycard.
"Downstairs. sub-level six. That's where they keep the locusts." He said to her.
Malcolm puts a small object in Ellie's hand as the steam ceases. He swiftly changed the subject.
"Hey, this looks so silky. May I touch the spice? Do you know what it is? Don't talk in the wrong tone. This is sustainable bamboo." He began.
"It is sustainable bamboo spice!" Sattler said, playing along.
Malcolm turned to Grant, clearing his throat.
"Doctor."
Grant turned to the duo. Malcolm nodded before walking off. Ramsey approached.
Grant leaned over to Sattler.
"What just happened?" He asked, annoyed.
"We're in." Sattler beamed.
Dodgson observed from a higher level. Glaring down at the two. He realised they were present at the 1993 incident. They were a threat. He saw Malcolm hand something to Sattler. Damnit, this can't be good. He left the area and punched a code into an elevator.
"Seven level six, restricted." A voice-over of the elevator's radio repeated.
He waited a few minutes before he exited the elevator and walks over to a lab. He sees a figure slumped over at one of the tables. It's Doctor Henry Wu. The man responsible for all the madness in the world.
Doctor Henry Wu. A man who was hired by John Hammond to work on a project with him at INGEN. Henry Wu is responsible for most of the dinosaur life on the planet. Wu is wanted for several crimes he has committed during his career. Very few people know that he is in Biosyn Valley.
Henry stood up and held out a phone. He had attempted to call Dodgson at numerous points throughout the day, and now he was angry that Dodgson didn't respond to him.
"Lewis, you're not listening to me. The DNA has made them far more aggressive than they should be. They're multiplying like crazy and they're not dying. What part of this, don't you understand?!" He screeched.
Dodgson rolled his eyes.
"Oh, I do understand."
"N,o you don't! This is going to be a global genocide!"
"Hey, hey, we can't anticipate everything."
"We need to eradicate the ones we released."
"What?"
"All of them."
"No. No. Henry."
"Like yesterday."
Dodgson whipped around to face Wu. Now he was angry.
"We don't want to cause a panic. We want control."
Wu glared at the man.
"There's no such thing."
Wu sneered and turned to a whiteboard, trying to think of a way he could eradicate the Archaeopteryx'. Dodgson sighed and stood next to him, Wu was important to his plan. He needed him. If Wu left he was back at square zero.
"When we're afraid, what do we do? What have we done before? We follow through. We found the girl. She's on the route. Cost me a fortune."
Wu swiftly turned to face him.
"What? Wait you found-"
"Yeah, I found them both. Her and the little Raptor. Blue reproduced all on her own. Just like you said. You're so smart, Henry. That's why this works. You understand the value of these creatures. You always have. I do too. And we don't stop because of what? A little side project went south. If they trace the Archaeopteryx' back to us, they come for the dinosaurs. All your work is gone. Billions of dollars in assets are gone. Diamonds with no one to mind them. Do you think she's the solution?"
Wu narrowed his eyes, Questioning Dodgson's methods.
"Okay. Is everything involved in the girl going through me, right?"
"Is she alright?" Wu asked. Dodgson tutted
"She better be. She's the Most valuable intellectual property on the planet."
Dodgson turned, walking off. Wu was left alone, he thought to himself.
"I have to fix this. They must be the answer to my questions. They just have to be. But Dodgson.. Is he telling me everything..? Does he not care...? If he does not change quickly, I fear Biosyn will become another Islar Nublar all over again."
