Lillian soon arrives in her room inside the Leviathan base. It is the exact same room as before, and it looks just as pristine as she left it. Lillian even sees that her bags are already on the bed, with the Leviathan agent who put them there nowhere to be seen.
"Get settled here." The shadow woman says, "I'm sure Nyssa will be with you shortly."
Lillian nods her head at the shadow woman, and is then left alone in her room.
Once Lillian is alone, she spends the next few moments unpacking her bags, trying to get her nerves about meeting Nyssa under control. Admittedly, a part of Lillian is worried that maybe she is meeting Nyssa now because Leviathan has found out that she's betrayed them, and she is about to be brutally murdered by the Leviathan leader's sister. However, after thinking it through a little more, Lillian comes to the conclusion that it's unlikely that she has been brought back all the way to the Levithan base, which she is pretty sure is in a mountain range in Italy, just to be murdered. It would have been much easier for Leviathan to murder her, and dispose of her body, in South America, where there are a lot more remote areas and corrupt officials.
"Ah, I see you are unpacking." A voice suddenly says from behind Lillian.
Lillian jumps in fright and quickly turns around and sees that a woman dressed in mostly black, with some dark red here and there, is standing in the entrance to her room. The reason Lillian jumped was simply because she didn't hear the woman enter the room, and she knows from previous experience that her door isn't exactly silent when someone opens it. So, Lillian is very surprised to see this woman standing before her.
"Oh.... you.... you must be Nyssa." Lillian says, her heart still racing from being scared, and Lillian is pretty sure Nyssa meant to do that.
"I am." Nyssa replies, walking closer to Lillian, "It's..... interesting..... to finally meet you in person."
Lillian knows in more normal circumstances in this situation a hand shake would be offered, but she already knows Leviathan doesn't do things like that, so she doesn't even move her hand to make an attempt to offer Nyssa to shake her hand.
"Yes." Lillian nods, regaining more of her composure now, "I... honestly didn't even know Talia had a sister."
"Most people don't." Nyssa replies, not showing any form of emotion on her face.
As Nyssa walks closer to Lillian, the Luthor matriarch finally gets a good clear look at Nyssa, and she sees that the woman has dark hair, just like Talia, a rather clear complexion, and dark brown eyes. As for an age, Nyssa doesn't look more than 30 years old. From this information, usually people would come to the conclusion that Talia and Nyssa cannot be sisters, as Talia looks around 60, or older, while Nyssa looks at least 30 years younger. However, Lillian very much doubts that the ages that the two sisters look actually reflect their true ages. Lillian suspects they are much much older than they seem. Lillian just isn't sure if it's because they are alien, or due to something else entirely.
"I see." Lillian replies, with a nod of her head, "Well.... I guess I should feel privileged to have that knowledge."
After Lillian says this, Nyssa grows a smirk on her face for the first time, but it's not a friendly smirk. As Lillian looks at Nyssa's smirk, she can't help but be terrified by it, even after all her years of being a Luthor and controlling her emotions.
"You should be fearful, nothing else." Nyssa says, in a cool voice, "Usually if someone learns of my existence, and I meet them, they don't live much longer."
"So, you are here to kill me?" Lillian asks.
Nyssa now grows another smirk on her face, but this one is a bit more friendly.
"No. Why would I be? You haven't done anything to betray Leviathan, have you?" Nyssa asks, now beginning to circle Lillian, not taking her eyes off her.
"No. But I'm aware that Talia doesn't trust me, which I completely understand." Lillian says.
Nyssa grows another amused smirk on her face after Lillian says this.
"Well, aren't you knowledgeable." Nyssa says, and then approaches Lillian's face, "And a rather cute little thing."
Lillian is very surprised by this, because it seems like Nyssa is flirting with her, but she is pretty confident this is just a tactic the Leviathan agent is using to put her off balance.
"But that is besides the point of why I'm here." Talia continues.
"Then, why are you here?" Lillian asks.
"To inform you..... that Leviathan cannot afford for there to be any weaknesses, from anyone, even you. So, Talia has assigned me to train you in some basic combat skills, starting tomorrow." Nyssa says.
"Why?" Lillian asks, "I'm not fighting on the front lines with Leviathan. I don't have a death wish."
Nyssa chuckles.
"No. You are not." Nyssa says, "But it wouldn't do you any harm to actually learn some combat skills, in case certain situations arise that you'll need them."
Lillian sighs.
"Fine." Lillian says.
"Perfect." Nyssa replies, "We will begin your training at 5AM sharp tomorrow morning."
"Very well." Lillian replies.
"I will see you then." Nyssa says.
Nyssa then makes her way out of the room Lillian is in, and walks down several corridors, knowing the base like the back of her hand. Eventually, Nyssa arrives in a room where Talia is sitting in a comfy looking chair, going over some files on a laptop.
"Well?" Talia asks.
"It's done." Nyssa says, "We will begin our 'training' tomorrow morning."
"Good." Talia smirks.
"I still don't see why this is necessary. Why are we keeping Lillian Luthor alive? Why not just kill her and be done with it?" Nyssa asks.
"Because killing Lillian Luthor would do nothing for us right now." Talia explains, "Our single biggest threat right now is Supergirl, and Lena Luthor. Lillian Luthor's time will come, but when it is of best strategic interest to us."
"And I'm training her because?" Nyssa asks.
"Because I wish to know how capable she actually is. You may look at Lillian Luthor and think very little of her, but that is a mistake. She is an incredibly clever woman. Do NOT underestimate her. She has already managed to slip things by our agents, agents you have trained. So, it is best to know how capable she is in a fight, when her time does come." Talia explains.
"Very well." Nyssa replies, "But what of the scientists? Have they managed to adapt the 'kryptonite' Lillian made for us, for our purposes?"
"They have. They achieved that months ago." Talia explains.
"Months ago? Then why am I only hearing about it now?" Nyssa asks, in an annoyed tone.
"Because I am the leader of Leviathan, dear sister. And you have been off and about insuring our interests across the globe. How was I to contact you to tell you such sensitive information?" Talia smirks.
Nyssa simply sneers at Talia, although the Leviathan leader doesn't even look at her sister.
"Oh, don't be mad at me, sister." Talia eventually says, "That was the scientists only completing phase 1. Phase 2 will be completed very shortly."
"And once phase 2 is completed?" Nyssa asks.
"Then we put our plan into action." Talia says.

It has now been about a week since Alex first came up with the idea for herself, Sam, Ruby, Morgan, Kara and Lena to all have a health check conducted by her and Lena. After Alex told Lena about the idea, the CEO was very keen to go through with it too, wanting to make sure her family is all healthy and everything, even though she already has a lot of data on the health of Morgan. However, always, in the back Lena's mind, a part of her does worry about Alura getting sick again, so she more than welcomes the chance to do all these tests. Plus, Lena does think it's a good idea for Kara to get tests too, seeing as she goes about and does all her Supergirl fighting on a regular basis, even if nothing major has popped up recently.
Over the next few days, after Alex mentioned the tests with Lena, the future sisters-in-law began working together to run basic health checks on everyone. Lena and Alex started on Sam first, which Alex suggested, and the CEO was none the wiser to the true reason for Alex wanting to start with Sam. The tests themselves included multiple blood tests, a full body scan, a few x-rays, and a urine test, all pretty standard health cares. However, for Sam specifically, Alex did slip in an MRI scan of the CFO's head, which Alex just played off to Lena as her being overcautious because Sam bumped her head the other day.
After Alex and Lena conducted the tests on Sam, they let all the tests running on the blood and urine run, and moved on to testing Ruby next. After Alex and Lena did the tests on Ruby, they then tested Kara, followed by Alura, then Morgan, then Lena herself, with Alex being the last one to have the tests run on her. Admittedly, for Lena and Alex, it was a bit awkward when they were having the tests run on reach other, because for the first time they actually had to see each other partly naked. Neither Lena or Alex are ashamed about their bodies or anything, and they knew they were in a medical type setting, but still, it was a tad awkward having their future sister look at parts of them naked.
In running the tests, honestly the person who made things most difficult was Kara, because she just very much didn't want the tests to be run on her, as Kara has never enjoyed doing that sort of thing. However, Lena and Alex both soon wore the kryptonian down, and forced her to go through with the tests. Other than Kara, Morgan was a little difficult to handle when running the tests, simply because she was a bit scared of some of them, most notably the full body scan, which she did not like the noise of, and cried afterwards, causing Lena to have to hug her tight for several minutes afterwards. However, Morgan was soon a brave little girl, and got through all the other tests with Lena making sure to shower her youngest daughter with so much love and affection afterwards, letting her know how brave she was.

Presently, it is a few days after Lena and Alex finished running all the tests, and Alex is at The Tower going over all of the data for everyone. Even though Sam was the first person they tested, Alex decided to look over Kara's test results first, mostly out of fear as to what she might find on Sam's test. Lena, for her part, had offered to look over the test results with Alex today, but the redhead said she could do it, as Lena has a busy day at L-Corp along with Sam, which is not surprising seeing as they are CEO and CFO respectively.
Alex continues to go over the tests for several hours until she eventually finds something that makes her stomach drop. As soon as Alex sees the result, she nervously runs the test again. Alex then has to wait 15 minutes for the test to complete, and she sees that it gives the exact same result.
"No." Alex says, with so much despair on her face.
After Alex reads the second test results she simply sits there, looking at the results in The Tower for several moments, not sure what to do next. However, eventually Alex is interrupted by Elizabeth walking into the lab.
"I thought I heard a noise in here." Elizabeth says, "Is everything okay?"
Alex turns to look at Elizabeth and right away Lena's mom can see that something is wrong.
"What is it?" Elizabeth asks.
Alex then explains, in detail, what she just discovered in the tests, unpacking it all with Elizabeth, which basically helps Alex not have a bit of a breakdown.
"You need to call her.... and tell her about this as soon as possible." Elizabeth says.
"I know.... but...... she's busy with her work at L-Corp." Alex says.
Elizabeth nods her head.
"I know this will be hard for you Alex, but she deserves to know about this as soon as possible. Imagine what could happen if she finds out that you didn't tell her about this right away." Elizabeth says.
"But... she'll be crushed." Alex says.
"I know." Elizabeth nods, with a lot of sympathy and worry on her face, "Which is why you should ask everyone else to come here too, for moral support."
Alex takes a deep shaking breath.
"Okay." Alex says, "I'll tell Sam and Lena to come here to The Tower once they've finished work, and I'll have Kara go pick the kids up from school."
"Yes, that's a good idea." Elizabeth says, reaching out and giving Alex's shoulder a squeeze, "Do you want me to stay here with you?"
"Yes, please." Alex nods.
"Of course." Elizabeth says, giving Alex a sad smile, and then taking a seat next to her.

It is now a few hours later, and everyone, Kara, Lena, Morgan, Alura, Ruby and Sam, has joined Alex and Elizabeth in The Tower. Alex still hasn't given anyone the specifics as to why she told them to all be here, because she just didn't want to worry anyone, but she knows now she has to finally spill everything, and a part of Alex just wants to fall to pieces. Alex does not want to be the one that gives out this news, but she knows she has to, she has to be strong, she can get emotional afterwards.
"Is everything okay, babe?" Sam asks Alex, "Why did you invite us all here?"
"I uhhmmm..." Alex stammers.
Elizabeth places another hand on one of Alex's shoulders, to give her some support. Thankfully, this does help Alex calm her emotions a little bit.
"I.... invited you all here.... because..... there's something.... I need to tell you.... or.... one of you." Alex says.
Alex then proceeds to look about the room, looking at all the people in front of her, all of whom she loves, including Morgan, even though she has only been her aunt for a few months now. Alex's gaze goes from Kara, to Lena, to Morgan, to Alura, to Ruby, before finally landing on Sam. Sam is the person that fills Alex's heart up, and helps her feel more courageous, even in situations like this. So, it helps for Alex to look at Sam right now, before she finally turns her gaze back to Lena and Kara.
"Kara, Lena, I think we should talk in private." Alex says, in a quiet voice.
Kara and Lena both look at one another, with confused looks on their faces, before turning to look at Alex again.
"Okay...." Lena says, in a confused voice.
Elizabeth then proceeds to give Alex a nod, before Lena and Kara follow Alex through The Tower and into the medical bay where Alex has been running all the tests.
"What is this about, Alex?" Kara asks, once they are all alone.
Lena looks about the room and notices that Alex has been running the tests from all their health check-ups.
"Is this about the health tests?" Lena asks, now starting to worry, "Is something wrong with Kara?"
Kara now grows a worried look on her face.
"No." Alex says, quickly.
"Oh." Lena says, in a sound of relief.
"It's you, Lena." Alex says.
"Wh.... what?" Lena now says, in a very nervous voice.
"What.... what's wrong Alex?" Kara asks, in a worried voice, grabbing hold of one of Lena's hands for moral support.
"I uhhh...... You know that we did all those health check ups on all of us.... and.... today I was just looking through the results.... and.... I came across something in one of your results Lena.... and....... I ran the test again.... to be sure...... but.... I uhmmmm." Alex says, trailing off.
"Please, Alex... just tell me.... don't make me wait." Lena says, in almost a begging voice.
"We.... will need to run some more tests to confirm it..... But.... your blood tests showed that your levels of follicle-stimulating hormone are nearly nothing." Alex explains.
Lena's eyes widen at Alex saying this, knowing what it means already.
"Follicle-stimulating... what?" Kara says, confused, "What does that mean? Can you please just tell me? I'm the one without any science or medical degree here."
"Sorry." Alex says, with a sigh, "But... women's bodies produce follicle stimulating hormones when an egg is going to be released from the ovaries. However, it doesn't just vanish after every egg release, or cycle. There would still be traces of the hormone in the blood, much higher traces than what I've seen in Lena's. So.... to.... put in more direct terms...."
"I can't have a baby." Lena interrupts.
"Wh.... what?" Kara says, now realising the gravity of the situation.
Alex looks at Kara with a very sympathetic look on her face.
"Like I said, we will need to run more tests to be sure, but it seems very unlikely that Lena would be able to have a child." Alex says.
"I uhh...... I don't know what to say." Kara says, and then turns to look at her future wife who looks expressionless.
"I'll.... leave you two alone.... for a little while." Alex says.
Kara gives Alex a nod, and then the redhead makes her way out of the lab. Alex found nothing to be wrong with Sam in her tests, but she absolutely hates that she found something unexpectedly wrong in Lena's tests, something that can crush a lot of women, even if they don't want to have kids.
"Lena I...... I don't even know what to say." Kara says, after several moments of silence after she and Lena are finally alone.
Lena sighs.
"It's fine. I'm fine." Lena says, turning to look at Kara.
"Lena...." Kara says.
"I mean it.... I'm fine." Lena says, "I mean.... I'm happy with our family now. I love Alura and Morgan to bits, even if they are not my blood, and I didn't give birth to them. They are both my daughters. And... yes.... I may not be able to give birth to a child.... but.... that doesn't mean that I can't find some way for us to combine our DNA and then you to give birth to our baby.... Then if I can't do that.... I can just support you as you go through another pregnancy, or we can adopt again, or we can just leave our family like it is."
"Lena..." Kara says, in another sympathetic voice, trying to interrupt the brunette.
"I know this would be crushing to many women, and I get that. But I have my kids already. And.... being pregnant has probably never been in the cards for me anyway. It's unlikely that I would have been able to take the time out from L-Corp to actually give birth, and take some maternity leave or something. Then during the pregnancy, I'm sure the press would have been a nightmare, writing articles about how large my belly is and everything. So.... this is for the best. I...." Lena says.
"LENA!" Kara says, in a much firmer voice.
Lena now looks Kara directly in the eyes, and sees just how much of a sympathetic look the blonde has on her face.
"Lena, don't lie to me, or maybe yourself. I know you." Kara begins, in a soft voice, "I know that right now you may be pretending that this doesn't bother you, but I know it does. I know you, Lena. This should upset you. This type of news even upsets women who never wanted to have kids anyway. So of course it's going to upset you, Lena. Please, you don't have to hide with me. You don't have to pretend you are okay. You can fall to pieces. I'll be here to help you put the pieces back together again."
Lena continues to look at Kara, in her blue eyes, for several moments, allowing Kara's words to sink into her. Eventually, after about 2 minutes of staring, Lena's lip finally quivers, and she bursts into tears. In response, Kara quickly wraps Lena in her arms.
"It's okay, baby. I'm here. I've got you." Kara says, holding onto her future wife tight, "Everything is going to be okay. I love you."
After this, Kara continues to comfort Lena for a long while, not really knowing the words to say. In all honesty, Kara is pretty sure that no one knows the right words to say in a situation like this, so all she does is stay with Lena, and give her all her love and support.

Kara, Lena, Alura and Morgan are now all back at their penthouse. After Kara finished comforting Lena, the duo were able to talk about what they wanted to do next, and how they wanted to tell people. Lena simply told Kara that she just couldn't deal with telling everyone and then having them go to her with so much pity on their faces, so she asked for Kara to give everyone the news. To do this, Kara had Alex stay in the medical lab with Lena while she then went out and spoke with Sam and Ruby. Kara decided that she would tell Morgan and Alura about everything that is happening later. Kara knew that telling their daughters would be a bit more complicated than telling Sam and Ruby.
Of course, once Kara told Sam, the CFO desperately wanted to go to her best friend and take her in for a hug and everything, but Kara told Sam that Lena just couldn't handle that right now. So, instead, once Kara finished telling Sam and Ruby, she went back to Lena, and she, Lena, Morgan and Alura all made a quick and quiet exit out of The Tower, with Lena very much trying to hide her tears in front of her two daughters.
Once Kara, Lena, Morgan and Alura got back to their penthouse, even though it was around dinner time, Lena told Kara that she just wanted to be alone, and asked for Kara to make the kids dinner and everything. In response, Kara wanted to stay by Lena's side, but she knew that her responsibility needed to be on their kids before Lena.
Presently, Kara, Alura and Morgan are all finishing eating their dinner which Kara cooked for them all. Obviously, Alura and Morgan did ask why Lena didn't join them for dinner, but Kara just brushed it off and lied that Lena is tired.
"Mommy?" Alura asks, having been silent for a while now.
"Yes, baby?" Kara replies.
"Is momma sad?" Alura asks.
Kara slightly flinches at Alura asking her that.
"Why do you ask that?" Kara asks.
"Because.... I saw that momma had been crying." Alura replies, "Is.... is something wrong?"
Kara now looks at both Alura and Morgan who each have worried looks on their faces. In seeing this, Kara knows that she has to tell her daughters, just to not make them worry.
Kara sighs.
"So, you know that we all had those health check up tests recently?" Kara asks.
"Yeah." Morgan nods.
"Yes." Alura says.
"Well... one of momma's tested made us find out something." Kara explains.
"Is she sick?" Morgan asks, in a worried voice.
"No. Nothing like that." Kara quickly says.
"Then, what is it?" Alura asks.
Kara sighs again.
"Momma found out that she can't have kids. And by that, I mean she can't give birth to a baby." Kara says, trying to put it as simply as possible.
"Oh." Alura says.
"What.... what does that mean?" Morgan asks.
Kara looks at Morgan and realises that while Alura knows where babies come from, Morgan probably doesn't.
"Well, babies don't just magically appear. Mommies carry them in their bellies. Then after about 9 months, they give birth to them." Kara explains, "But it now looks like Lena can't do that."
"Oh." Morgan now says, just like Alura did.
"Is that why she is upset then?" Alura asks.
"Yes." Kara nods, "But I want you two to know that she still loves you both sooooo much, and as far as she is concerned, you are her daughters. She isn't upset because she won't be able to give birth to a baby that shares her DNA. She's upset because..... her body can't do something that she may have wanted it to do. Her body can't do this through no fault of her own. And no one likes not being able to do things when they should be able to, right?"
"Yes." Alura nods, "Like when you took us for ice cream, and I should have been able to get strawberry ice cream, but the shop didn't have any left."
Kara can't help but grow a soft smile on her face.
"Yeah, something like that." Kara says, "It wasn't your fault that the store was out of strawberry ice cream, just like it isn't Lena's fault that she can't give birth to a baby. She has just now been stripped of having that option. But that doesn't mean she doesn't love say, chocolate ice cream even more than strawberry."
"Ooooo.... I like chocolate ice cream too!" Alura exclaims.
Kara now things that the ice cream metaphor was probably not a good idea to continue with.
"Yes." Kara says, "But, what I'm just trying to say to both of you, is just because momma can't give birth to a baby, and is upset about it, doesn't mean she thinks any less of you being her daughters, because she didn't give birth to you."
"Yes, I understand." Alura nods.
"Good." Kara smiles, "Morgan, do you...."
Kara stops speaking, as she has just turned to look at the chair that Morgan was sitting in at the kitchen table, and the 4-year-old is nowhere to be seen.
"Morgan?" Kara calls out.
Little does Kara know, but during the ice cream metaphor, Morgan crept away from the kitchen table, and has made her way upstairs and into Kara and Lena's bedroom. Lena right now is curled up on the bed, softly crying.
Morgan quietly makes her way further into the room, and climbs up onto the bed, moving closer to Lena, eventually reaching out and touching her, which causes Lena to quickly turn over and look at her.
"Morgan." Lena sniffles, wiping her face with one of her arms, trying to hide that she's been crying, "What are you...."
"It's okay." Morgan says, and takes Lena in for a hug, resting her head on the brunette's belly, "It's okay, momma. I love you."
Lena now bursts into tears again, hugging Morgan tightly, but now for an entirely different reason than before.

I know that many of you were probably caught off guard by me having Lena not being able to have a baby. But I feel that it's an important part of this story, and this chapter. I just hope the ending, with Morgan finally calling Lena 'momma' makes up for it.
