"...heart button se "like" karte hai tweet....aur kuch bolna hai... bubble..." Anuj's voice drifted in and out as Anu struggled to concentrate on his words. Her eyes kept darting from his moving lips, 2 day old stubble (which was a rare sight) to his mole that kept disappearing into the crease near his lips as he spoke; down to his shirt which as usual was unbuttoned at the top.

Standing next to the projector screen which was currently showing their company twitter page, her husband, with his hands on his hips was proving to be a huge distraction. The bamboo venetian blinds in his cabin had been drawn shut but tiny slivers of the afternoon sun poured in and fell over him highlighting his best features. He could easily become one of those fashion influencers Mukku followed on Instagram, Anu thought. She quickly straightened up as she saw Anuj snapping his fingers trying to get her attention.

"Tumhara dhyaan kahan hai Anu? Hume ek hafte me restaurant ke liye twitter page kholna hai! Aur tumhe Kavya ke saath isko handle karna hai. So please mere upar dhyaan do!" Anuj exclaimed. "Yahi toh problem hai Anuujjj! Aapse dhyaan hi nahi hatt raha... Pleej don't mind haan?" Anu finished by imitating him. Anuj was a bit thrown off by this flirty comment. Anu had always been professional at work, so much so that when he'd try to flirt, she'd give him an exasperated look and ignore the comment until they were back home. Had Anu been this bold any other day, he might have immediately taken an early lunch with her but he had to finish teaching Anu the basics of using twitter. Reining in his thoughts he replied, "Biwi focus! Sirf ek hafta bacha hai launch ke liye! Kanhaji! Is ladki ka me kya karoon?" Prompt came her reply: "Jo bhi mann me aaye kar sakte ho!" She looked at him as if she were daring him. She was feeling uncharacteristically playful. Anuj crossed his arms and smirked. He walked closer to where she was seated and leaned forward with his hands on the couch facing her. "Fine. Tumhe khelne ka mann hai aur mujhe yeh sab tumhe padhana hai. Toh ek kaam karte hai. Meine do gante se jo bhi padhaya hai, uspe sawaal poochunga. Agar tumne sahi jawaab diya, toh mein ek button kholunga. Aise chalta rahega jab tak...." Anuj raised an eyebrow shrugging, and Anu blushed understanding that if she was a good student she was going to get a strip show courtesy her husband. "Par! Agar tumne galat jawaab diya toh jo bhi button/ zip/ knot meine last khola us action undo ho jaayega. Okay?" "Thik che" Anu replied unable to control her giggle.

"Toh mohtarma, uthiye aur projector screen ke paas jayiye. Screen pe mujhe dikhayiye: Agar ek naya tweet karna hai toh kaunsa button click karenge aap?" Anuj moved to the couch Anu had previously occupied and sat down, leaning back and crossing his leg over his knee giving her a good view. Anu glanced at him blushing, trying to collect her thoughts. This was tougher than she had anticipated. She closed her eyes to keep Anuj from distracting her - he was already smirking; and focused on what he had taught. Common sense he had mentioned - every icon was logically assigned to the purpose they served. Glancing at the page, her eyes scanned all of the imagery in front of her from top to bottom. Spotting the white feather at the bottom she paused and hesitantly pointed at it. Anuj looked at her for a moment with one eyebrow raised, his lips pursed and then reached and undid his second button, his eyes on Anu.

Anu turned a deep shade of red unable to look at him while he rewarded her. She glanced up and slowly turned to look at her husband who was struggling to control his laugh at his wife's discomfort. Most often than not Anu still blushed like a newlywed who was looking at her husband for the first time in private. "Chalo, next question - Kisi ke tweet pe reply karna ho toh kaise karte hai?"

Kavya tapped her feet impatiently as she waited for the call to connect. A tiny beep indicated the same, and she sat up straight as Anuj's confused face showed up on screen. "Hey! What's up? You're up late!" he said as soon as she came into focus. It was Kavya's turn to look confused, "Yeah... ummm" she looked at Anuj who was bare-chested & squinted as she searched the dark unlit background, "Are you still at home? Isn't it 10AM?" "Nahi nahi, I'm in office! Cabin me..." Anuj replied having forgotten he wasn't wearing a shirt. "What?" Kavya's eyes went wide and then narrow as her confusion turned into anger for she had assumed the worst, "You men! Tum sab ek jaise ho! Kaun hai... wait mein abhi Anupama ko phone lagati hoon. Zara bhi akal hai ki nahi..." Kavya turned away from her iPad looking for her phone. "Kavya! Mein yahan hoon!" Anu, realizing the assumption Kavya had landed on, had come running to peer into Anuj's phone screen. Anu wasn't sure if she should feel amused at the indignation Kavya was showing or happy in a way that Kavya's first response on assuming her bff was cheating, had been to call his wife. "Jai Sri Krishna Kavya." Anu smiled apologetically, while shoving the discarded shirt onto Anuj's lap. Face palming himself, he quickly put the shirt back on, thankful that nothing else had been discarded... yet.

"Oh! Thank God! But wait a minute. You're such an idiot! Why would you pick up my call if you're... busy with Anupama?" Kavya asked. "Arey, aisa kuch nahi hai. I was just teaching her how to use twitter." Anuj tried explaining. "Wah! Mujhe toh kisi ne twitter aise nahi sikhaya" Kavya said, laughing. "Haan haan... Tujhe toh tere V ne Spreadsheet sikhaya hoga na... aise" Anuj retorted back. Kavya's eyes widened, "That was below the belt, haan... humesha mere ex ko beech me kyun laata hai? Take it back!" Anu looked at her husband gearing up to reply. This would take a while. She stood up. "Acha tum log baat khatam karo. Mein jaake emails check karke aati hoon. Kal raat se check nahi kiya. Bye Kavya" She waved and made her exit slightly disappointed that her "test" was cut short.

Hearing a loud thud Kavya paused placing the cardigan she had been folding into the open suitcase. She glanced at her watch which read half past five and sighed. Opening the door to her room she glanced into the hallway, her eyes squinting to adjust to the darkness. "Oh! You're awake?" Nidhi exclaimed as she saw Kavya's head peeking. Nidhi was on her knees picking up the heavy bag of books she had just dropped. "Just packing..." Kavya replied. "Same!" Nidhi said pointing to the bag she was holding. "Kay has so many books! I'm going to have to pack light to include all this". Kavya gave a small smile still guilty that Nidhi was coming along. "Look... it's not too late to change your mind! You don't have to accompany me to India... You stay. Kay'll miss school too if you both come. I don't feel right about this..." Kavya said entering the hallway and switching on the lights. Nidhi squinted in the sudden brightness, "Quiet! Your divorce proceedings is 3 days away. If your bestie doesn't support you now, when will she?! Kay will be fine! It's been a while since he visited his nanu and nani anyway" "Oh haan btw I spoke to Anuj a few hours ago and he says we're staying with him. He's very adamant about it." Kavya said. "What?? Noooo... it would be weird K! I mean... I haven't seen him in about 10 yrs and with Kay... It's just a lot! Plus how do you think Anupama would react to her husband's ex staying with her? No no no, we should just get a hotel room like we planned", Nidhi said shaking her head.

Thinking back to the time Anupama had taken her in when she was still V's wife, Kavya couldn't help but smile, "Oh Please! Anupama is the last person who would feel uncomfortable with you at her place. Relax! Waise bhi if we decided to stay at the hotel after Anuj telling us to come home, we'll find ourselves being dragged to his home by the two of them... maybe even Mukku" she added as an afterthought. Nidhi sighed defeated and nodded a yes before walking back to her room.

"Kapadi ji! Chhodiye! Mujhe bohot kaam hai!" Anu exclaimed struggling weakly against her husband who had pinned her to their cupboard. "Aise kaise? Tumhari test abhi bakhi hai!" Anuj teased her, his face close to hers. "Anuj! Mukku abhi wapas aati hi hogi aur kaka..." "GK mandir gaye hai. Ghar pe koi nahi hai" he completed as he ran one hand through her freshly washed hair and placed the other on the exposed part of her waist. Anu squirmed but stopped as she felt his hand travel north of her waist, under her pallu. It was as if electricity was suddenly surging through her, she could already feel herself get hot and damp between her legs. "Ab batao, ek tweet ko share karne ko kya bolte hai?" Anuj asked, his nose and forehead touching hers, their lips barely a few inches apart, one hand gripping the back of her head firmly and the other poised on her soft midriff just below: where her blouse ended. Anu tried to move her head but couldn't. Her heart was racing and she could barely think. "Re-retweet" she replied with difficulty. "Very good" Anuj said, dropping his voice a little, sounding slightly hoarse. He pulled at the last two buttons of her blouse, thankful that she was wearing a front open one today and moved his hand further north feeling the coarse lace of her bra. He felt her chest heaving as she struggled to breath in excitement. He would have lifted her and taken her to bed ending her torture but it was his turn to be playful so he continued.

"Agar tweet ko share karte time tumhe kuch likhna ho uss tweet ke saath, tab usse kya bolte hai?" He asked, cupping her left breast and gently rubbing her nose with his. Feeling the cold from his hand through the flimsy material, Anu felt her face grown hot. She clenched her thighs together as she felt another jolt of current pass through her. Anu closed her eyes trying very hard to gather her thoughts. "Q-qu-q-quote tweet" She barely managed and immediately let out a loud gasp as the hand cupping her breast pulled down the lace covering it. His hands were now holding her nipple hostage, gently pinched between his index and middle finger. He brought his fingers closer pinching her nipple harder between them and she whimpered as she felt herself throb, almost painfully, down there. Anuj chewed on his lower lip thoughtfully observing Anu's tortured face that was as red as the saree she wore earlier today and pushed his face even closer, his lips brushing against hers. "Aur tumhare pati ka naam?" he whispered. "Aa-aap" Anu gasped, not in the state to comprehend much. "Naam kya hai?" He asked, pinching her nipple as he bit her lower lip, slightly pulling it. "Anuujjj" she replied not just as an answer but almost pleading for him to end her suffering. Firmly planting his lips on hers, he kissed her just as he had the first time and all the times after that- with all the passion he held. His body pushed against her crushing her to the cupboard as he moved his hand that had held her hair lower to pull her saree out of the way. Anu wrapped her arms around her husband's broad shoulders, gripping them as if her life depended on it and his hand that held her breast moved slightly such that his thumb was now rubbing her over sensitive nipple painfully slow. She let out a deep moan as she felt her nipple almost burn along with other parts of her that wanted to make him a part of her immediately.

"ROCKSTAAAAARRRRR! Kahan ho aap?" came a cheerful voice from the living room as the front door slammed shut. Anuj immediately pulled away cursing "I love Samar, pan Kanhaji ni kasam hun ek divas aa maa na ladka dikra ne khub maarish!" (translation: I love Samar but I swear on Kanhaji, this mamma's boy will get beaten up real bad by me one day) Anu looked at Anuj for a second and burst out laughing. "Aayi Samar. Ruko!" She called out in case he decided to come to their room looking for her. As Anuj very lightly but repeatedly hit his forehead on the cupboard door, trying to calm down; Anu rushed to their mirror to straighten her saree. Satisfied with her pleats, she went back to her husband who looked very disappointed and kissed his cheek apologetically. "Suri!" she mouthed when he looked at her with a pout and left to see what had brought her youngest son home.

****************

"Kaunsa desh?" Anu asked again confused. "Mummy Nigeria... Anuj buddy aap hi sun lijiye... Aap ache se explain kar sakte ho mummy ko." Samar said as he looked up and saw Anuj entering the living room. Anuj sat down next to Anu and leaned in to listen. "Lagos ki Kanadiga Sangam se request aaya hai. They saw Mummy's video that I had shared a week ago on the dance academy's YouTube channel and they want to know if she can perform for Krishnashtami this year. They're willing to pay for her travel expenses and take care of her stay. Ek hafte ka trip hai." Anu started shaking her head, "Bakuda, inka birthday hai us din. Aur Krishnashtami pe mein sabse alag kaise? Nahi nahi nahi. Tum mana kar do." Anuj replied, "Anu! Aise opportunities bar bar nahi aate! Tumhe jab US jane ka chance mila tab tum nahi jaa payi, pregnancy ki wajah se. Meri birthday ka kya hai? Jab tum wapas aaogi tab mana lenge. Aur waise bhi tum akeli thodi hogi. Samar hoga na tumhare saath. Tum bhi jaa rahe ho na buddy?" "Haan! Not just me, Nandu direct US se aayegi. Meine usse baat kar li hai. Please mummy yeh bohot badi opportunity hai. Humare academy ko international recognition milega! Soch lo aap. Ab mujhe dher ho rahi hai... Pakhi ki school me kuch dance show hai... usko mein help kar raha hoon. Please buddy samjhayiye mummy ko" Samar planted a quick kiss on Anu's cheek and waltzed out of their apartment.

Anu looked at Anuj, uncertain. "Dekho, mein tumhe force nahi karunga but aisa mauka khud chal kar nahi aata. Tumhe udna hai na? Tumhari dance academy ko aage badhana hai? Toh aise chances ko miss karti rahogi to kaise hoga?" Anuj asked her gently, taking her shaking hands in his. Anu looked at him worried, "Par aapko aise akele chhodke..." "Anu mein bachha nahi hoon. Meine apne aap ko akela sambhala hai. Kaka hai, Mukku hai... aur Kavya bhi to hogi yahan..." Seeing Anu roll eyes, Anuj quickly corrected, "Okay fine, Kavya toh kuch nahi karegi but Mukku aur GK hai. Anyways yeh sirf ek hafte ki baat hai. So you'll be fine... I'll be fine. Bakhi tumhari marzi. Decide karlo, do din ka time hai na. Mein chai banata hoon." Anuj got up and walked away leaving Anu deep in thought.

**************

Putting the last of the freshly washed plates on the drying rack, Anuj stretched and sighed. He quickly whipped up a glass of chocolate milk for his wife who was probably still brooding over the new offer. She had been very distracted and silent during dinner too. Lost in thought Anuj entered their room and stopped. There were clothes lying all over their bed and an open suitcase. He looked around and saw that the clothes were a mix of his and hers. He looked at Anu confused, "Anu, Janmashtami 1.5 months baad hai. Visa chahiye jaane ke liye. Toh abhi se packing? Aur mere kapde kyun?" "Oh pati ji! Mein itni istupid nahi hoon. Teen din mein Kavya aur aapke dost aane wale hai. Toh wapas aapko sofe pe sona padega. In teen dino me koi na koi hume... in..in..in-terr-upt karta rahega, aaj ki tarah. Toh meine do din ke liye hotel me soot book kar diya hai." "Sui-te" Anuj corrected her, a smile forming on his face as he moved closer to hug her. "Haan sweet... aur office me email bhej diya ki kal se do din hum chutti pe hai." "Acha? Toh woh do din, humare "sweet" me kya karne wale hai?" Anuj asked gathering her in a tight hug from behind. Anu pointed at the '50 Shades of Grey' book that Mukku had left behind in their room earlier by mistake, "Sochenge..."
