They drop the casket onto the dirt a metre away from me and Rafe holds his hand out to me expectantly. I let out a huff and turn, grabbing the crowbar that is propped up against the tree before handing it over to him.

Renfield and Rafe pry open the casket and throw the lid off to the side, Carla leaning over to look inside before pausing in confusion. I shove my knife into the back pocket of my jeans and head over, looking around Rafe to see what they're all staring at.

"Why are you still trying to take care of people who wouldn't do the same for you?" He questions.
"I might not have been their family, but they were always mine" I answer with glistening eyes "And I guess old habits die hard"
"Come home with me" He pleads.
"You go ahead. I need to clear my head right now" I breathe out shakily.
He lets out a sigh and nods, pressing a kiss to my forehead. I move my gaze to the casket once again and he leaves me alone like I asked him to.
A tear slips down my cheek and I feel a hand squeeze my shoulder gently, making me close my eyes in irritation.
"Rafe, I told you to go home" I state.
"Thank you" A voice definitely not belonging to Rafe says and I look in surprise to see Pope with the Pogues behind him "For always being my family"
