Duryodhan didn't even look at the Yadav Princess but the Royal Prince eyes never left Subhadra. There wasn't any mischievousnsss or carefreeness in her behaviour. Her behaviour denotes she's trying herself to restrain herself being jumpy and joyful.
He said,"Dusha, how about you three go inside and enjoy??" Dushala nodded her head but looked at her husband who gave one nod with a smile. She blushed but called,"Come Bhabhi!! Subhadra you too... We can go inside!!" This time, everyone forgot to welcome the couple by taking Aarthi. Well... Let's say men were eager to discuss something.. women were eager to get know something about each other.
The large willow tree provided shade for three friends. The Royal Prince seated himself in a branch looking for explanation. And he know very well about Subhadra..she will never Even stay with Hastinapur Kauravas even fortune given.
SUBHADRA..
The Yadav Princess has quite name in Aryavart for her mischievous nature and cuteness. She is the daughter of Vasudev and Rohini, younger sister of Balram and Sri Krishna. She love to do things which will make others roll their eyes. In fact, to be honest, she is the little version of her elder brother Krishna.
With beautiful brown eyes, dark hair and soft facial features, Subhadra is the little devil of her household. Extremely pampered by her elder brothers and parents, she's quite a brat too. Her every order will be obeyed. But everything changed that one day...
It was the swayamvar of Kaling Princess Bhanumati. Subhadra was whining with her family to let her go to the Swayamvar.
Does she know that Princess?? No.. She just heard about her. But these brothers of hers will always keep her in their watch. So after many pleadings and tantrums, Krishna and Balram let her go to the swayamvar of the Princess.
Subhadra was extremely joyful. Recently, her friend was also married. Dushala, the Hastinapur Princess was already married in a very humorous way which Subhadra was still laughing at the memory. God that girl is such a naughty one. When she reached Kaling, her eyes fell on Arjun which made her heart crumbled. Means, Arjun came to win The Princess?? But she smiled at the Pandav brothers who smiled and asked about her well-being.
The swayamvar was the next day when Subhadra decided to roam around the palace at night. She being completely naive and innocent, thought the palace of Kaling as her own. She was giggling, running and jumping around the corridor when a strong hand covered her mouth and pulled inside.
Her heart thumped in fear and she thrashed violently in the hold.
She was pushed inside the dark room and before she could scream, she heard,"Damn even maid of Kaling is so beautiful. I could eat her up!!" Her eyes widened in the realisation that she was in the hold of drunken princes and they didn't realise she's Yadav Princess. Tears erupted from her eyes and spilled in her cheeks realising the situation. She's going to be exploited by these men.
She felt one coming towards her and her whole body shook in fear. Unlike other Princess, she's not good in defense. She hate violence. She even skipped the sword and self-helping defences which she highly regretted at the moment. But what's the use now??
She begged,"I'm...I-I'm P-Princess. D-DON'T t-touch......aaaarghhhhh!!!" She screamed when the man squished her cheeks coming closer. She prayed someone will come...someone will save but none come. Oh how wrong she was!!
Duryodhan who was passing through corridors to get into the Princess chamber heard the bloodcurling scream of young girl. He know that voice ..he heard that annoying voice somewhere before.
He followed the scream only to see a group of Princes and a young girl. He asked,"What's happening here??" The Princes left her resulting Subhadra to fall on the floor. She adjusted her dress and ran towards Hastinapur Prince. However cruel he is, she heard he never hurt woman. She clutched his bicep stuttering and wailing about how they touched her. Duryodhan felt uncomfortable.
One, she is too close to him. Two, he had never seen her like this. Though he doesn't like Subhadra, the princess who worships Arjun as though he's a God, he felt sorry for the poor girl.
The princes were already unconscious due to excessive toddy consumption. He slowly tried to pry her away but Subhadra only tried to cling to him more. He closed his eyes in frustration. God if anyone saw them like this, he'll be doomed....he don't need another bad name that he made Yadav Princess cry...
He hesitantly patted her head, finally and successfully prying away from her saying,"Ok calm down. Nothing major happened, right??" His voice only scared her more. Subhadra wiped her tears in his angavastra saying,"Don't s-scold me... I g-get scared!!"
Duryodhan's eyes widened in shock. First of all, this girl dared to wipe her tears off in his...HIS ANGAVASTRA!! Secondly, she's behaving like a pathetic baby. He, this time didn't show his mercy towards her but simply pushed her away softly.
But to his shock, she fell down groaning. What?? He just softly pushed her! How weak is she?!
He sighed saying,"Get up! I'll leave you with the Princess of Kaling!!" But the next moment, he know, he is in trouble when he heard,"My my isn't it Hastinapur Prince and Yadav Princess?? What is happening here??" Duryodhan and Subhadra looked at each other in shock. Sindhu Raj Jayadrath was never a good cause.
Duryodhan's grip on Subhadra tightened in fury. Oh how much he want to kill these two right now but he took a deep breath saying,"Leave us alone, Sindhuraj. I want to go away from here!!" Sindhuraj smirked....
He was waiting for the right moment to tackle this arrogant Prince of Hastinapur from the day of Dushala marriage. How much those Kaurav brothers and Hastinapur Princess mocked him?? Now that Vasudev's sister and Duryodhan were together, they themselves spoiled their reputation. He asked,"So little Yadav Princess having affair with Hastinapur Prince???" Subhadra was trembling more when she saw him leer at her. She never knew this type of world exists until today....
Duryodhan pinched his forehead saying,"God, Sindhuraj! Could you...." But his words stopped when he heard,"How about I announce your relationship in the swayamvar tomorrow. Oh I wish I could see Vasudev's furious face after realising your little secret, Princess!!" Subhadra fell on his feet saying,"N-No don't D-DON'T....My brothers..." She wailed and cried. Oh God..when did the world became cruel for her??
Duryodhan was furious. He said,"I dare you to say something in Swayamvar tomorrow, Sindhuraj! And you...Subhadra get up and wipe off your tears. He wouldn't dare!!" When Subhadra was still crying, he pulled her up, pushing the man out dragging her to his chamber.
He know it's wrong to get her inside his personal chamber but whatever he cannot leave this princess with anyone because there is a possibility that she will blabber everything to everyone which is dangerous for her as well as him. What will he reply when someone asked why he was roaming there?? He can't say he's going to Kaling Princess chamber, isn't he??
He pulled her inside his chamber saying,"Why are you outside this time??" Subhadra hiccuped saying,"I j-just w-want to r-roam!!" Duryodhan rolled his eyes but threw blanket over her saying,"Cover yourself, your pallu is torn!!"
He laid himself on the bed saying,"Take the couch. No sound must come!! Understand?? Early morning sneak outside as soon as possible!" Subhadra looked at him with wide eyes saying,"B-But how..." But she saw him already closing himself with sheet shutting his ears. She hesitantly settled on the couch trembling. She know he did good by taking her to his chamber but if anyone saw them or tomorrow if Sindhuraj said anything to anyone her whole life will be spoiled. No one would marry her!
She curled herself into a ball settling herself in the couch, trembling badly not even knowing what's going to happen her...
When she awoke in the morning, she saw two maids looking at her in shock. Her lips trembled in fear. At the exact moment, Duryodhan who went to meet Ashwathama entered inside. He looked at the maids with confusion and why are they looking so shocked?? He turned around only to see Subhadra sitting in the couch trembling and crying. His eyes widened in shock. What in the name of God??! She didn't go to her chamber??
But deciding to keep his cool, he gruffly said,"What are you looking? Scramble away!" The maids giggled to themselves but Duryodhan was sure they'll blurt everything. Not knowing what to do, he looked at the Princess who wiped away her tears standing up saying,"Sorry... I'll g-go now!!"
She crossed him but he held her hand. He tried to say something but nothing came outside his mouth. She looked at him with her Bambi eyes which held fear and sadness. He left her hand and moved inside leaving Subhadra scared to face everything alone outside...
