Stiles pov
It's been two weeks.
I have a few days left until school starts. So, me and Malia are going last minute back to school shopping to make sure we have everything we need. Derek gave Malia his card and to go crazy for only school items.
I drive up her dad's driveway. I see her and wave at her. She jumps for joy. I unlock the door. She opens the door and......
"What the fuck is that smell?" She said making a face. I looked at her. "What you mean? What does it small like?" I said confused. I know my jeep smells great and it's clean. "It smells like there's been a wolf in here." I looked at her. "That's odd because the only wolfs I know are our friends. Are you sure it's not them?" I questioned her. She shakes her head no. "It's a different wolf." I nodded. "Me and Derek have been going to a gas station that has werewolves attacks so maybe it's scent got into the car maybe." She nodded. "Maybe.... Wait you and Derek what do you mean?" She asked shocked.
"Well everyone left for college. So, I'm the only one available for the job." I said trying my best not to look nervous. "And it's a great alone time with him." I thought
"He could've asked me. How dare he try make our pack mom take on a dangerous job." She sounds pissed. "Well he knows you spend time with your dad but, also spending bonding time with Peter. He didn't want to break that. Plus your dad will get suspicious about the whole werecoyote." I explained Derek's motives to her. She still learning.
"And pack mom.? What do you mean I'm pack mom." I asked. She hops into my jeep and shuts the door. "You know! You always make sure we're okay and if we need anything your right there to help us. Your the mom of our group. Plus your the only full on human in the group. So, you make sure that even though we're supernatural. You make sure the human part of us is out when it needs to be and help us stay in control even if we're in our were from." She said with a smile on her face. I gave her a smile back.
"Does everyone think that?" She nodded fast. "We all have conversations about you being pack mom." Malia said and I got curious. "Who started it?" Malia looked away. "Malia don't make me become a mom right now." I said pulling out of her driveway and driving to the supermarket.
"It... it... it was.... You know it doesn't matter." I gave her the mom look. She swallow a gulp. "It was Isaac and Scott." I laughed. She sounds like a little kid doing a blame game with her siblings. "Then, tell me who is the pack dad if there is any." I said laughing.
I pulled into a parking spot. "Derek." And I froze did she knew about me and Derek. We made sure that we keep it a secret until the right time to tell everyone. "Derek." I choked. "Yeah because he's the leader and older then all of us except for Peter. He's the best dad and your the best mom so... everyone agrees." I laughed. Derek a dad. That's funny because with his mood swings are crazy.
We get out of the jeep and go inside. "Okay grab a cart and start throwing our supplies in." I said making Malia laugh. We go through each and every aisle for back to school. We got notebooks and folders for each subjects. We got markers. Well I got five and Malia grabbed like twenty of them. New style backpacks and we also grabbed pencils.
"Okay I think we have everything. But, let's go through the list." Malia nods.
"Notebook's and folders for the subject." Malia nods and I check it off
"Pencils and markers." Malia nods again. Crossed it out.
"Books for the subjects." Malia nods. And also crossed it out.
I nodded my head. "Then we're done let's go check out." Malia laughs. "What?" I asked. She looks at me while I put our things on the table for the person to scan them. "Your sounding like a true pack mom." Malia smiles. But, I've noticed that she keeps looking around. Throwout the store she keeps looking around. "What's wrong." I whispered to her. Not having the person scanning hearing us. "I can still smell the wolf. It's here. It's a very strong scent." I looked around I don't see anyone. I took a deep breath. "Okay I'll let Derek know what you told me. We're supposed to be on look out at the gas station." She nods her head. I patted her head. "Good girl taking care of the pack mom I'm so proud of you." I said teasing her. She growls at me but, teasing me back. I laughed.
Once we paid we left fast. Just in case the wolf is somewhere near us that we can't see. I texted Derek everything Malia told me.
Be ready tonight
That's all he texted.
We went to my house. It's 8pm but, the sun is already gone. It's the chill of the night. I unlocked the door....
Thats when things didn't look right. While entering my home. The back door was open. "Malia the back door is open." I said nervously. She went upstairs to check things out. I went to the coat closet and grabbed my bat. I walked to the backyard in the dark.
"I got a bat and I'm not afraid the use it. So come out." I screamed.
Nothing.
I hear nothing.
A few minutes go by and still nothing.
"Coward!" I whispered.
I walked back inside. Closing the door shut and locking it. I still had my bat In hand. "Malia no one's outside." I shouted out. Nothing.
Which was odd she alway answers when you call her name.
I listen and there's nothing and I noticed all the lights are off. Fuck. If this a horror film I'm kicking someone's ass. I'm a survivor. Of many things.
I raised my bat up. I not going down without a fight. Daddy and mama didn't raise a wimp. They raised a warrior. I get closer to the living room. I'm walking blindly into the dark.
I took a big deep breath.
All a sudden lights turn on fast and...
I start swing the bat around with no mercy. There were shouts of pain but, I didn't care.
I had my eyes closed. I took a deep breath and opened them. On the floor was both Scott and Isaac. I hit with my bat was Scott and Isaac. I bursted out laughing. I looked around and it's everyone.
I went to put my bat away. While Malia yells at them saying "that's what you get for scaring her." I was still laughing. At least it wasn't a wolf or that would've been bad.
Once I put the bat away I went to the group. "So, how is everyone." I said with a smile.
Lydia came up to me and gave me a big hug and then Allison.
Isaac beat Scott to hug me. When wrapping his arms around me. He took a big deep inhale and push me away. Thank goodness he made sure a didn't fall. "Are you okay Isaac." I said worried. "You smell different. We're you around a wolf or something." I shake my head. "I didn't what to say anything to defend you stiles." Scott said I gave him a look. "Derek got her to go to a gas station for some wolf attacks that was happening." Malia answered for me.
Isaac nods and pulled me back to him. I pat his head he is the favorite of everyone. A child at heart.
"Why is Derek making you do it." Scott said worriedly. I rolled my eyes.
"Because everyone left for college remember." I sarcastically.
Scott finally realized that he's in college and he can't do the saving all the time now.
Isaac finally let's go and it's Scott's turn to hug me. "So I'm pack mom. Huh." I whispered in his ear. He push me and Malia caught me. And I started laughing. Scott was so red and I can't stop laughing. "What? What happened?" Isaac said. Scott points at Isaac. " I didn't started it Isaac did." He said. "What did I do?" Isaac said shocked.
"You started calling Stiles pack mom." Scott accusing him. Isaac looked in my eyes. "Yeah I did start that." In a very small voice. I smile pulled him into a hug and pat his head. "Good boy." I said and Isaac blushes.
After that whole encounter we ended up talking about college and eating pizza.
When it got closer to 10pm everyone said goodbyes to see their parents.
I took Malia home safe and sound. "Be careful." Malia looks at me. "What you mean I'm always careful mom!" She shouts when she's out of my jeep with her things. "You need to be more careful stiles." She said waving a goodbye to me and I wave back.
I drove to Derek place and he's waiting for me outside. I can tell he's in a every bad mood. I parked the jeep and unlocked it.
"Your late." He said in a demanding voice while opening the door and he freezes. I looked at him. "Are you just standing there or your going to yell at me more." I yelled more at hi. I'm very pissed off now."
He snapped out of whatever he was in. "Have you been around another wolf." He accused me. He got in and I started driving to the same spot 10 feet away from the gas station.
"Our friends surprise me and Malia tonight. That's way I was late." I explained very upset that he is accusing me.
"No! There's a different smell." He yelled at me. "You think I cheated on you with a different wolf. Fuck you!" I scream at him. "That's not what I'm saying." He yells back at me. I don't know why I started crying. I pulled my shirt collar down reviling the mating mark on my neck. "I'm not the type who lose my virginity to some guy who I don't love. I don't cheat on the guy I'm madly in love with." I cry even more. I got out of my jeep.
"Where you going." He yelled. "To get a fucking drink asshole." I'm feeling every emotional.
I walked into the gas station and....
I don't know but I darted to the woman's restroom. I ran to the stall and threw up everything I ate today. I cried even more.
Once I'm done I wiped my mouth and I washed my hands. I even wash my face.
I walked out of the restroom to find it eerily quiet.
I grabbed two water bottles and went to the counter.
As I got closer I can see a trail of blood. I dropped my two water bottles. I'm scared but, I keep walking until I found a man lying down on his back and his throat was slashed. I check his pulse...
Nothing.
I grabbed my phone and dial 911 immediately.
"Hello 911 operator. What your emergency." A woman's calm voice answers.
"Hey yes this is Stiles Stilinski I like to report a murder at Beacon Hill gas station. An employee's throat was slashed open. I check for a pulse and there's nothing."
"Alright Stiles stay calm. Is there anyone else with you." She asked.
I can't say Derek because everything with the police.
"No! No one that I know of. I don't know if the killers are still here." I said started to cry more.
"Okay calm down we're send police and ambulance there as well just—" my phone got snatch. I turn around to see my phone broke in a person's hand.
This is who we've been looking for.
A tall man with dark black hair that's curly with steel color eyes. He Has muscles everywhere.
"Your alpha/mate can't save you Pup." I took a deep breath and......
I ran. Fuck this shit I'm out.
But......
He was too fast. He grabbed me by my hair and yanked me backwards.
"You can't run." His deep voice called out teasingly.
Then he slammed his foot braking my leg. I felt my bone snapped.
I screamed.
We both hear sirens.
He left.
Few seconds later Derek came in with scratches and bruises.
I cried out to him. He came to me.
"I'm sorry. He sent out decoys." I told me.
All I care is that he's okay and that he needs to get out of here.
"Go!..... you need..... to leave. If.... They catch... you they'll... send... you to...... prison." I said in so much pain.
"I'm sorry!" He said kissed my lips and ran.
When the police finally got to me. I blacked out from the pain.
