" Aren't you excited for today?" Pacey sarcastically asked his h/c best friend.
"What's today again?" she asks.
"Another one of Dawson's filming days for that stupid festival thing," he says sarcastically.
" Oh.." she says, annoyed.
" Dawson says Jesse also has to come for moral support," he sighs.
"JESSE!"
"What Y/n?"
" Dawson said he wants you to come to the film thing he's doing"
" Ugh finee. For what?"
" Moral support I guess." Jesse opens y/n's door to see them and Pacey sitting on their bed.
" Wassup blondie" Pacey says, smiling at Jesse.
" Hey Pace." Jesse says, quickly pulling him into a hug.
" So when do we gotta go to Dawson's stupid thing?" Jesse said.
"Now" Pacey said, annoyed. Jesse rolls his eyes and the group walks down the stairs of Y/n house. Jesse and y/n have been living with each other since they were five after y/n parents abandoned her, and Jesse begged his parents to let her stay with him. Surprisingly they said yes!after years of filing for custody, they legally adopted her when she was 8. Pacey opened the door for Jesse and Y/n. " After you pretty girl" Pacey whispers to y/n and then winks. She sweetly smiles at Pacey and heads for the boardwalk.
"No, no! Cut! Cut! Cut!" Dawson says, clearly agitated. 'Why is this so hard?' he thought. Y/n sighed. She looked at Dawson kinda sympathetically, knowing how annoyed Dawson is filming this. Jesse patted his shoulder in comfort. "It's like a three-count you gotta wait before you come up. Come on!" he angrily said. Jesse and Y/n walked over to the boardwalk, trying to help Pacey and Joey out of the water. Pacey lifted his hand for you to grab but Joey pushed him back into the water. Jesse laughed before pulling her out of the water. Y/n chuckled then pulled Pacey up.
"Pacey, come on. Joey...What was that all about?"Dawson sighed. Jesse and Y/n quickly laughed and then stopped when they saw Joey and Dawson looking at them annoyed.
"Look, if you come up before she's established on the dock, it's not scary," he said. 'Ugh,' he thought.
"He did it again. He grabbed my ass." Joey said, eyeing Pacey.
"Like you even have one," Pacey said.
" Bite me," Jesse and Y/n laughed at the two bickerings.
"We are way behind schedule, all right? We've got two weeks." Dawson said, rolling his eyes.
"I'm not gonna make the festival. Hello! Some cooperation."
'Are Joey and Pacey really the right people for this?' he thought.
" I'm not playing the victim," Joey says, annoyed.
" Look, It's Meryl Streep's fault. I'm doing the best I can here," Pacey said.
He went to hug Y/n but she pushed him away. He frowned.
"I'll hug you when you're dry, Pace," Y/n said, smiling.
"Ugh fine, I'll wait. Only for you, though," Pacey says. He smiles at Y/n and she blushes.
"Well, well... My mouth drops." Pacey says. The group walks over to the yellow cab that approaches the house close by the dock. Jesse pulls Y/n's wrist and dragged them so there behind the rest. Jesse smiles.
"You know you don't have to hide this from me Y/n,"
he says, quietly. " What do you mean?" Y/n says, confused.
" Look, I know you like Pacey," he says, smirking.
" No, I don't!" she whispered.
" So what was the whole, "I'll hug you when you're dry. oh fine I'll wait, only for you though." he says mocking Y/n and Pacey. Y/n rolled her eyes.
"Hey, there" the blonde girl spoke.
"Hi. I'm Pacey," he says, shaking her hand and then winking.
"Nice to meet you!" she says, smiling.
"Hi. I'm Dawson" he says, slightly blushing.
"Oh, you're Dawson. Dawson,"
"Yeah, I know. We met before."
"I'm Jen," she says, smiling.
"The granddaughter from New York!" he says, his eyes widening. You look... different. he says, eyeing her.
"Puberty," Joey says, playfully hitting Dawson on the arm.
"Hi, I'm Joey. I live down the creek" she says awkwardly shaking Jen's hand.
" Hey, I'm Y/n and this is Jesse. Nice to meet you!" Y/n said, happily. Jesse shakes Jen's hand.
"Nice to meet you guys!" Jen says.
"So, Jen, are you just visiting?" Dawson asked.
"My grandfather's aorta collapsed...so they had to replace it with this plastic tube," Jen said, sighing.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," Y/n says, frowning.
"o my parents sent me to help out for a while," she said.
"You'll be going to school here, then?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah, 10th grade," she said.
"Hey, cool. Us too." Pacey says.
" Oh, good." ' yay, I'll have friends I guess,' Jen thought. She snaps back to reality. "Look, my grams is waiting. I should really go" she sighs.
"It was really nice to meet you guys, and I'll see you in school, if not sooner," she says, then walks off. "If not sooner," Dawson said.
"I gonna head home guys, all right? later angel" Joey says, smiling at y/n and walking towards her small boat. They all wave.
"Nice," Pacey says.
"Not bad," Dawson says.
"Think she's a virgin? You wanna nail her?" smirking at Dawson.
" Pacey!" Y/n says, hitting his arm.
"Ow Y/n!" Pacey said, rubbing his arm.
"We just met!" he said, looking at Pacey like he was crazy.
"And a wasted moment it was," Pacey said, rolling his eyes.
"Greater men would be nailing right now. You know what I mean?" he says. Y/n rolled her eyes.
"Tact. Look it up." Dawson says, opening his front door. Moaning was heard and the glass broke in the living room. Worried, Dawson quickly rushed to the living room to find his parents....kissing?
"Oh, God...Mom!" Dawson almost shouts. They break their kiss.
"Oh, hi son" Mrs. Leery awkwardly smiles. Mr. Leery dumps Mrs. Leery on the floor. " Your mother and I were..." Mr. Leery trails off. Mrs. Leery fixes her unbuttoned blouse.
"Uh, just discussing whether or not..." Mrs. Leery says, not looking at Dawson.
"...we needed a new coffee table!" Mrs. Leery laughs.
" Hey Pacey, Y/n, Jesse," Mr. Leery says.
"Hi, Mr. Leery...Mrs. Leery" Pacey, Y/n, and Jesse say in unison.
"Hi, you guys!" Mrs. Leery notices Dawson's increasing embarrassment.
"Oh, don't look so red Dawson. It could be worse?" she says. Dawson runs his hands through his hair and looks away. Jesse stifles a laugh. Pacey and Y/n share a look.
" You know what Mrs. Leery? I really do love that new hairdo!" Pacey says. Y/n hits his arm. Mrs. Leery fluffs her hair
"Oh...Thank you, Pacey." she smiles.
"I thought yall had to work?" he said. " We ran late," Dawson said, sighing. Mrs. Leery gets up.
" I should get going. Okay, Mr. Man-meat, I'll see you later," she says, smiling. They kiss.
" Mom...ah!" Dawson says, throwing his hand in the air. Pacey and Y/n softly laugh. Jesse looks at them before looking at Y/n with that ' Your sure you don't like him?' look. Y/n ignores Jesse.
