"Hey girllll" king said to me as he walked into foot locker
I laughed "heyy"
"Boy why you coming up in here all loud" Ki said walking behind him
"Anyways" he said putting his hand in her face
"What you on later ?" He asked me
"Uhh nothing why ?"
"Cause we want you and Jayda to come with us to this party" Ki answered
"Uhh I don't do parties"
"Welp that sucks cause your gonna be there" King said
I shook my head "no thank you"
"Yea okay we'll see...if you don't come tonight imma come by your crib and beat you up" he said walking away and throwing me the middle finger
" girl don't worry about him....you don't have to come but I'll really like it if you do" Ki smiled
I nodded "alright"

"Where's this party at ?" Jayda asked as we walked in target
I shrugged "I think king is throwing it soo maybe his house"
"Cool so are we going ?" Jayda asked
"Mmm idk" I sighed grabbing the case of water
"Okay" she said
"Umm excuse me ?" I said raising my eyebrows
"I said okay"
"Your actually agreeing to me not wanting to go out ?"
She laughed "yes Lani"
"Wow...in that case I think we should go" I laughed
"Are you feeling okay ?" She asked feeling my head
"Yes I'm okay...why not go have fun" I shrugged
"Oh wowwww okay"
"Okay" I said
"If we say okay one more time" Jayda said causing me to laugh
"No fr"
"Sooo have you talked to Eli ?"
"He texted but I haven't texted back" I said looking away
She gasped "Lani are you ghosting him ?"
"Nooo I just don't want nothing too serious with him"
"You keep saying that"
"Yea and I'm serious" I said shrugging
"I'm okay welp let's get out of here before these lines get hella long"
"Girl take your butt to self check out" I said as she tried to get in a long line
As we walked to self check out we started scanning some of the items in our cart purposely missing a item or two.
"Alright let's go" I said with a smile
"You sneaky sneaky girl" Jayda said laughing as we walked out the store and towards my car
"I don't know what your talking about" I said unlocking the car
"Mmhm" she hummed
Once we unload all the stuff into the car we got in and made our way towards my house.
About 20 minutes later we arrived and took the stuff inside.
"Whew I hate taking groceries inside" Jayda sighed before throwing herself on the couch.
"What time is it ?" I asked unpacking the stuff we bought
"6:30" she mumbled
"Great we can take a nap before we go out" I smiled
"I'm with you on that one bestie"

After our 3 hour nap we got ready and made our way to the party at kings house.
Once we arrived I got out the car first with Jayda behind me.
"Alright I'm the designated driver tonight so get as drunk as you want" Jayda said with a smile
"You know I don't drink" I said as we walked up the driveway toward his house
"Well you are tonight" she said as I rung the door bell
"Girl what are you doing this is a party" she said opening the door and walking in
"We can't just walk in" I said
"Yes we can" she said walking towards the kitchen
"Omggg y'all came" Kianna said while hugging us
"Yup we're here" Jayda said pouring a drink
"Didn't think you guys were gonna come"
"Yup I changed my mind" I said
"Let's take shots" Jayda said handing me and kianna two shots while she kept one
"Umm no thanks" I passed
"Come Lani one time" ki said
I rolled my eyes before picking the shot up " what's this ?"
"Pink Whitney" Jayda said taking her shot
I nodded before taking it with her " eww"
" another one" Ki said taking the second shot
I shook my head before taking another one also.
"Yayyy now let's go have fun" Jayda said grabbing my hand
She dragged me towards the couch with the two cups still in her hand.
"Alright these are for you... made by me of course"
"Both of them ?" I asked
"Yup I'll just hold one"
I took one of the cups and tasted a sip " this is really good" I said before taking another sip
"I know" she said
Couple minutes later I was on my second cup and was feeling myself get a little tipsy.
Jayda and I was dancing and singing along to all the music that was being played.
" wassup y'all" king said coming over to us as we sat on the couch
"Heyyy" we said
"What you sipping on Lani" he asked before sitting next to Jayda
I shrugged " something Jayda made for me"
"Oh ight..aye I want y'all to meet someone" he said before pulling someone over to us
"This Gio...my cousin he finna be staying with me for a while" he said causing us to wave
"Wassup" he said looking at me
"Hi" I smiled
"This is Lani and her best friend Jayda" king introduced
"Nice to meet y'all" he said shaking our hands
" you too...have a seat" Jayda said
He sat down in front of us.
"So where you from Gio" Jayda asked
"Here. What bout y'all ?" he answered
"I'm from Huston but I moved down here in high school" she said
"What bout you ma ?" He said looking at me
"Here" I said looking down at my cup
"Cool well it was good meeting you guys... guess I'll see you around" he said before leaving
Jayda looked at me before smiling.
"Don't even... go make me another drink please" I said before she can say anything
She laughed before getting up to go to the kitchen.
"Waddup Lani" I heard
"Heyyy Eli" I said mentally cursing myself on the inside
"What you been up too ?"
"Oh nothing just working and school" I said
"Well I texted you...you didn't reply"
"I know and I'm sorry about that. I'm not really good at texting" I said
"Alright well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out again"
I sighed "Eli I told you I don't want anything serious"
"But this is just a friendly outing" he said laughing
"It kinda seems like something else"
"Well it's not. Look just let me know later on okay ?"
"Alright" I sighed before getting up to go the bathroom
I quickly locked the door and used the bathroom before wiping and flushing the toilet.
I washed my hands then dried them.
"Oh I'm sorry" I said as I bumped into someone
"You good ma...you just owe me a drink" Gio said causing me to look down at his shirt
"I'm sorry" I said grabbing napkin from the bathroom and wetting it before cleaning off his shirt
He chuckled "it's fine...it's just a black tee ma"
"Your gonna be smelling like straight up liquor" I sighed throwing away the napkin
"It's cool...one of the reasons why I don't dress up to these type of parties" he said putting his cup down
"Smart"
"Soo Lani are you gonna let me use the bathroom or you trynna watch" he asked laughing
"Oh right. Yea. I'm sorry" I said moving to the side as he did the same
"Sorry" I said as we did it again
He chuckled "you know you say sorry a lot" he said letting me walk out first
"Sor- Nevermind" I said laughing
"Before you go...you gonna give me your number ?" He asked
"Are you guys gonna be standing here all night or are y'all gonna use the bathroom" some girl said tapping her feet
"My bad you can go" Gio said laughing
"Thank you" she sighed before walking passed us into the bathroom
I laughed "I didn't even know she was waiting"
"Same"
I held my hand out "if you get my number that means I don't owe you a drink"
"Deal" he said handing me his phone.
I entered my number in and saved my contact before handing it to him.
"This not a fake number right ?" He asked causing me to laugh
"Yeah"
"Alright bet I'll see you later drink spiller" he said walking away
"Wait didn't you have to use the bathroom" I said but he had already left
"Okay than" I mumbled
"Damn girl I thought I lost you, you scared for a sec" Jayda said as I walked back towards the kitchen
"My bad I gad to use the bathroom"
"Oh okay well here's your drink" she said handing it to me
" thanks I said grabbing it"
"Alright let's go have done fun" she said dragging me over to the table where they were playing beer pong
"We wanna play" Jayda said
"Beer is nasty" I said
"It's not beer it's henny" the boy said Setting the cups up
"Alright let's play" Jayda said pouring the drinks in the cups
