"nobody saw Armani?" i frowned my face up.
we pulled up to the building as there were already people there.
it was my grand opening today everybody helped me set it up.
i was more then grateful, I just didn't know where Armani was.
"we ain't saw him or nas" E man shook his head.
"y'all tried calling?" i questioned
"all night and since this morning"
"they probably doing something" baili tried to assure me.
"but he needs to be here" i sighed.
"he will be now come on" zaeland grabbed my hand.
"you look so pretty nation" a little girl smiled at me.
i smiled back "thank you love"
"go say something ugly" booka shooed me towards the microphone.
"I want Armani to be here though something's not right" i felt a weird feeling in my stomach.
"we gone look for em after this, it's yo big day we ah record the whole thing" tori said.
i nodded my head and walked towards the microphone.
"thank you everybody for coming to my grand opening I'm more then grateful" i said seeing a car pull up.
i smiled a little hoping it was Armani but it wasn't.
my smile faded as i continued with my speech.
once i was done i put the microphone down and they handed me the scissors.
i cut the ribbon and everybody clapped and cheered.
"congratulations" everybody came and hugged me.
"here" booka handed me a bag.
i looked inside and saw some money.
"thank you guys" i hugged them.
"you welcome, we'll be back" they told us walking off.
"yall think they ok?" i asked putting the money back.
"yea" they all said at once.
i eyed them not liking what I was feeling.
"come on we finna take pictures inside"

tori walked up to me with tears in her eyes.
"what's going on?" i asked sitting up.
"hmm listen" she handed me her phone.
i clicked the video and turned the volume up.
"a shoot out that happened on post rd has resulted in the death of 3 young african american man and the injuries of another. sources has identified two of the deceased as Armani Tiggs also known as Skudd and Nasir Fisher also know as nas"
nation heart started to beat funny as she kept listening to it over and over again.
"here" she stood up wiping her eyes.
"where's baili?" she asked she lost her boyfriend too she knew her friend was distraught.
"in the back room, sit down nation" tori told her.
she held back her tears watching nation fumble on her phone.
"Armani" she said as she kept calling him only getting the voicemail.
her voice cracked as she kept calling his name.
she didn't wanna believe he was gone.
"tori i can't do this alone, we got a baby" nation cried as tears streamed down her face.
"i know come here" tori sat next to her hugging her.
nation sobs filled the shop as tori tried her best to calm her down.
"why would he leave me? i thought he loved me" nation cries got stuck in her throat.
she sniffled grabbing her phone again calling one more time.
she wanted it all to be a joke.
Armani was the first person she ever loved.
despite any flaw he had she loved him through that. they had their first kid together she was feeling lost at this point.
"it's not fair tori" she wiped her eyes.
tori handed her some tissues as a few tears slid down her face.
she knew how to handle death well, but this was her brother and she didn't know how long she could do it.
"kai can't grow up without a father, this isn't right" nation leg bounced up and down.
they could hear baili crying loudly she frowned her face up listening to her friend.
"maybe it's a joke" nation tried to laugh it off.
she knew it wasn't it felt way to real for her.
nation sat back down and broke down again.
losing her first love was hard for her.
she didn't know she would lose him so soon, she was just glad he died while they were on good terms.
she wouldn't be able to live with herself knowing her boyfriend died upset with her and she was mad at him.
"hi Kai" nation gave a weak smiled.
kai did a toothless smile at his mother.
"you so cute" she cooed laying him down in the crib.
she admired him for a while he resembled Armani so much it was crazy.
"sis" she heard the door jiggle.
she ignored it and sat back down on the bed.
she held back the tears not wanting to seem weak in front of her son.
even though he couldn't understand she still didn't want him seeing her cry.
"i'm fine" she wiped her eyes.
"you not open the door" booka jiggled the door again.
she stood to her feet unlocking the door.
booka stepped inside and looked at her.
"come out the room we just need you to stay with us so we know nothing is happening to you"
"like what?" nation rubbed her eyes.
"you know what" he frowned.
she nodded her head checking on Kai.
she saw he was slowly falling asleep.
"who's all in there?"
"the same people we be with come on"
she nodded and cracked the door and turned on the baby monitor.
walking out the room everybody looked at her.
baili hadn't stopped crying, it had got so bad she started crying in her sleep.
tori hadn't cried at all, she needed to be strong for her friends.
but nation knew after a while everybody needed to cry.
she didn't need tori being strong for nobody but herself, she lost her brother after all.
E man and booka kept straight face but she could see the puffiness.
zaeland cried a little bit, everybody lost two important people to them.
they all were grieving differently.
it all felt different now that Armani and Nas were gone.
the group felt off, and would forever feel that way now that they lost two important people.
