Around 800 A.D
Angel was a 19 year old young women who lived in England with her two children, you might think thay she was young to be a mother of two but she's not their biological merely their Adoptive Mother but the children don't see her that way, they like to think the women who gave them up wasn't their mother and Angel was, one could say the same if they came across the family of three for Jane the youngest had blonde hair just like Angel and has the same eye shape and ears, Alec shared Angel's green eyes and nose along with dimples when they smile which was a rare occurrence
Angel runs an herb shop for the people in her village, while they accept the help they think of her as a witch for having good remedies, when all she does is uses her knowledge about plants to make them, she usually sends out Jane and Alec to collect a lot of plants she may need, which they are right now, well they were currently 13 year old Jane was running through the streets of the village with blood running down her face and brusies on her arms
Rushing into the shop Angel turns to greet the customer with a small smile but that smile was instantly wiped off when she saw her child bleeding "Oh Jane sweetheart what happened" Angel rushed grabbing a tiny vial and some water and rushing to aid Jane who sat on a stool crying trying to catch her breath, "Deep breaths Jane deep breaths" Angel spoke soothingly while getting a cloth and dunking it water and wiping the blood off Jane before adding the paste that was in the vial to her skin
"We went to go collect the herbs like you asked when some boys approached us they started picking on Alec when I pushed one of them away which cause a fight they started beating us and Alec pushed me away and told me to come get you, I'm sorry mother" Jane said bowing her head while Angel added some paste to her brusies "Dov'è tuo fratello adesso" Angel asked calmly in Italian one of her native tounges while she was freaking out inside, the towns people have a habit of picking on the twins claiming them to be witches as well since things happen to the towns people when they mess with the twins some might think they would learn their lessons and not mess with the twins but the village people do anyway (Where is your brother now)
"Off the path by the river" Jane spoke wincing slightly as the paste tingles her wounds "Stay here and lock the doors don't open it unless you here our special knock ok" She order "Bene" She asked again "Yes Mother" Jane nodded "Alright I'll be back" Angel stated before standing up and exiting the ship making sure Jane had locked it behind her with that she broke out into a sprint towards the familiar woods, getting there in about five minutes Angel's green eyes surveyed the area before she gasped in shock (Okay)
Her child her Alec pale and heavily bleeding while barely breathing laid on the green grass that was now tinted with blood, his blood. Quickly rushing towards him she gently picked him up making him groan slightly in pain before running back to the shop making sure to be mindful of Alec "Oh mio dolce ragazzo cosa ti hanno fatto" She muttered looking down at him before knocking twice pausing and knocking four more times, the slid open with a creak Jane's tiny body pushing against it (Oh my sweet boy what did they do to you)
Opening the door before closing it Angel set Alec on a cot before grabbing a new cloth and water "Brother" Jane yelled panicked seeing her bloody slightly unmoving twin "Jane I need you to grab the Yarrow paste and some ice can you do that" Angek said rushed as she cleaned Alec before stripping him of his shirt and pants being mindful of his undergarment "Yes Mother" Jane trembled out before going to grab what her mother told her to grab, Angel finished wiping Alec's blood away and saw some wounds need to be stitched closed
Getting up and rushing to her cabinets getting out Lavander and Feverfew plants that numb pain after grabbing what she needed, Angel when back to the cot to see Jane there with what she asked for "Thank you Jane" her Mother spoke before setting up her area "Your welcome mother" Jane said, taking a deep breath Angel burned the needle to sterilize it before letting cool down, while the needle was cooling down Angel crushed up the Lavander and Feverfew into a liquid before getting a syringe and injecting it into Alec's arm "Jane I need you to rub his arm so it will spread please" Angel spoke "Yes Mother" Jane said rubbing Alec's arm like her mother taught her many times before
While little Jane was doing that Angel grabbed the needle and some cotton she spun out and threaded it through the needle and tying it before ushering Jane to Alecs other side "Mother how can I help" Jane asked wanting to help her brother and Mother more "While I stitch his wounds I would like you to grab the ice you brought and wrap it in a cloth" She spoke "Yes just like that now I want you to rub the cuts with it and when it's melted do it twice more before adding the Yarrow paste to stop the bleeding" Angel said as Jane showed her and began her job
After Jane got to work Angel started her work too, sewing the wounds that needed it and by gosh there were alot, shaking her head Angel could never understood how kids little children could be so cruel to those around them especially those who are rumored to be witches. Angels sighed out in sadness and frustration people can be so cruel for no reason, finally finishing the last wound that needed to be stitched Angel gets up and grabbed the dirtyed supplies and tosses them in a bin she kept to the side
Once done with that she went back to her children, eyes filled with sadness as she watched her youngest spred paste upon her brothers skin to stop bleeding "Oh kids may God have mercy on those that messed with you" She muttered before helping Jane. When finished Jane helped her Mother put supplies away before returning to Alec who was looking much better, he had almost regained all of his color and his breathing looked better and wasn't as shallow
"Alright Jane up to bed come along" Angel spoke ushering Jane out of the room "But Mother" Jane complained "No buts Jane I shall watch over your brother whilst you rest" Angel said sternly with a pointed gaze at her daughter "Mother" Jane tried again "Jane you just like Alec got hurt and need your rest, please do not fight me on this" Angel reasoned sighed with reluctance Jane nodded before kissing her brother on his forehead and walking up the stairs the accompanied their home
Sighing Angel followed Jane and tucked her in before wishing her good night and kissing her forehead much like Jane did to Alec, after making sure Jane was Asleep Angel went back downstairs and monitored her son after putting him in his night attire, kissing her sons head Angel picked him up carefully and took him to his room which he shared with Jane, laying Alec next to Jane Angel almost cooed at how the gravitated towards each other most likely sensing one and other in their sleep, once more kissing her childrens head Angel parted ways and went to her room which was right next to the twins, bathing and changing Angel was out like a light as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Days later Alec had made a full recovery along with Jane and now they were playing while their mother hung up laundry, Jane running towards her mother and hiding by her skirt, laughing as Alec found her, Angel freezing when she felt another presence "Kids" She spoke looking around warily before her eyes settle on a group of three men one blonde and two brunette "Hello" Angel spoke softly ushering her kids to each of her side slightly behind her hiding them away from the men's curious gaze
The one in the middle held up his hand as a sign of peace "Pardon us but are these your children" He asked Angel glanced at him before glancing at her kids "Yes they are" She spoke looking back at him"Do they happen to be twins" He asked again "Yes sir" Angel said nodding slightly "We've never encountered twins in our travels" He spoke getting a wary glance from Angel "Apologies Miss, I an Aro and these are my brothers Caius and Marcus" He said moving his hand and motioning to the to respectively "My name is Angel" She said looking at them
"This may seem odd but my I make their acquaintance" He asked looking at the twins in wonder "I suppose theirs no trouble in that" Angel spoke smoothly glancing at the men "This is Alec and Jane, she's the youngest" Angel said motioning them forward, Alec going first shook hands with him "It is my pleasure to meet you" Aro spoke before letting Alec do the same with the other two men "Hello" he said going back to his Mothers side, next Jane who shook hands with Aro first before doing going up to the blonde and smile before doing the same with the brunette who shook her hand "She likes you" Angel spoke as Jane went back to her side "Fascinating so much potential" Aro states standing up from his kneeled position
As the wind blew a sheet flew up and down Aro disappearing leaving no trace he was there besides his brother that stood looking at Angel with a look she couldn't decipher "Ci vediamo presto amore mio" they spoke at the same time before they were gone just like Aro leaving no trace they were even there to begin with, what strange men ones that she felt connected to, breaking out of her thoughts as Alec tugged her skirt "What did they say Mother" he asked knowing his mother was half Italian and half French but understood and spoke both fluently (We shall see you soon my love)
While Angel was teaching Alec and Jane Italian and French they didn't know most of what the men said, they only understood that it was Italian and the men said My love which their Mother sometimes calls them glancing down at Alec and bitting her lip Angel wonders if she should translate it, sighing she opened her mouth "They told me they will be seeing me soon" She spoke truthfully looking at him and Jane who was still looking at the spot the three men stood "What does that mean" Jane asked looking up at her mother "I haven't a clue love now come along play with your brother while I finish this then we shall go home" She said turning back around ushering the kids to play while she finishes the laundry
More days later Alec and Jane were sent out by their mother to collect flowers behind their house when Angel heard a scream dropping what was in her hand Angel bunched up her dress she had on and ran towards the sound "JANE, ALEC" she yelled as she got to the woods "JANE, ALEC" She repeated worried for her children "ALEC, JANE" she continued running and searching through the woods "ALEC,JANE SWEETHEARTS WHERE ARE YOU" She shouted cupping her hands as it echoed through the forest, dark was approaching and Angel was getting more worried until she stumbled upon a beaten and bloodied unconscious Jane "Oh Jane mia dolce figlia" She rushed to Jane and sitting on her knees cradling Jane (Oh Jane my sweet daughter)
"Cosa ti hanno fatto mia dolce Jane" She muttered with tears streaming down her face just then Jane gasped awake "Oh Jane my sweet daughter your ok" Angel said relieved "Mother" Jane cried "I couldn't control it" she cried "Control what" Angel ask already having a feeling "I'm sorry I should have stayed with Alec" Jane sobbed clinging to her mother "Its ok my sweet Jane it's ok" She soothed rubbing Jane's head "Where is your brother" Angel asked "I dont know" Jane muttered "There she is" A group yelled marching towards the daughter and mother with Alec (What did they do to you my sweet Jane)
The villagers shining Alec towards his mother who had gotten up and hugged her children who clung to her fearfully "What is the meaning of this" Angel sneered at the villagers "Where are they" A male villager yelled "Who" Angel asked hiding her children behind her back once noticing the pitch forks and torches they carried "Our sons they left to the woods and haven't come back they were with that witch earlier" A female sneered pointing at Jane who hid behing her mother
"My daughter was beaten by your boys today just look at her" Angel yelled defending her children "So she had a reason to harm them and I'm sure he played a part too" the same male from the beginning spoke pointing at Alec "I'm sure your boys are just playing in the woods" Angel tried to reassure "We searched for them on foot and horse back our boys are gone and that one needs to pay for it" another male spoke "You'll pay for the wicked deeds of your children" a lady threatened
Jane walked up to the group making them back away fearfully "Your the wicked ones" She growled "Jane" Angel said pulling her back "Grab them" a male yelled rushing towards them and yanking them apart "No" Angel yelled trying to fight off the men "No no Mother" Alec yelled as he got pulled away "No get your hands off me" Angel yelled "Jane Alec" she screamed reaching for her children who were reaching for her "No Mother please" Jane yelled struggling against the men's hold "No no run" Angel yelled yanking free and pushing the men who held her children only to be captured again and dragged to town square
It was now night and the family of three were tied to a stake with twigs around them with villagers holding torches "These three have been accused of witch craft what say you" the Mayor yelled the villagers yelled different things 'Burn them' 'Kill them' 'Torture them' 'Make them pay' all things that were drowned out as Angel held her kids hands "Rember I will always love you, be brave and show no pain" She spoke "I love you mother" Alec spoke hiding his pain "I love you too Mother" Jane spoke crying "And I love you both karma will make its due" she spoke to them
"The town has spoken this evil presence shall be destroyed to save our village" the Mayor yelled before lowering the torch and lighting the wood on fire, soon Jane started yell angerly while Alec clenched his jaw hiding his pain and Angel hid her pain as well before speaking "Quiet" she yelled effectively slightly quieting down the crowd so she could speak and they would hear "Que la terre mère vous empoisonne tous et que vous ayez tous une grande mort lente et douloureuse" She yelled in French that caused more up roar of chanting witch and burn them (May mother earth poison you all and shall you all have a great slow painful death)
Angel closed her eyes and embraced the pain waiting for her end, opening them when she felt something a miss before her was the three men she met days ago the blonde Caius and the other brunette Marcus stood infront of her "Ci dispiace Mia Colomba ma non vogliamo perderti" They spoke before Angel felt pain spread through her entire body (We are sorry My Dove but we don't want to lose you)
