I see Cassie walking furiously to Aubrey but i stop her holding her arm.
"What the hell makes you think you can come here and talk to her like this? You're the one wrong, you're the shit person here" Cassie says with fire in her eyes
"Cas it's okay why don't you come home? I'll reach you as soon as possible"
"Y/n but-"
"Hey it's fine i can handle it by myself, promise" i say reassuring her with a smile
"Ok fine but call me if you'll need me okay?" she says with a pout on her face
"Okay boo, love you"
"Love you too boo" she answers and then leaves, but first threatens Aubrey with a look.
If it weren't for the situation i would laugh to see how protective she is towards me and she's not wrong, because i would be too towards her
When Aubrey and i are alone i approach her trying to look as confident as possible.
"So?" she says
her eyes are so cold, i can't see anything anymore, the one i have in front of me is not anymore the girl i fell in love with three years ago
"What?" i say
"Come on Y/n, i have no time to waste, what you want to tell me?"
"Are you fucking serious Bre? Here the one who owes me explanations is you!" i say raising my voice
I'm probably getting someone's attention but i don't care
"Jesus Y/n again? I told you i don't want to be with you anymore, i don't love you anymore, can you just accept it and leave me alone?" she says annoyed
"I want answers Bre, you can't just stop loving a person for no reason. Does anyone have anything to do with it?"
"No"
"Then what? Why you don't love me anymore?"
"I don't know okay?"
"Bullshit, tell me the truth Bre!"
"WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT FROM ME!" she yells
"THE TRUTH JESUS, THE FUCKING TRUTH!" I raise my voice more then her

And here it all falls apart, my eyes start to fill with tears but i fight to keep them from slipping on my face
"W-what?"

I can't believe it, i can't believe what i just heard.

Our eyes meet and only then she recognizes me, she tilts her head and analyzes me trying to understand the situation.
With one movement she turns Aubrey towards her
"Are you from this school?" she asks
"No miss" Aubrey replies, lowering her head.
Lizzie's authority evidently intimidates her
"Well then this is even more serious, you came here and you were going to beat up a student of this school, you could get a declaration miss you know?"
"But miss she hit me firs-"
"I don't care, i saw you trying to hit miss y/l/n, that's enough for me to call the authorities" god she's really mad at Aubrey
"Miss Olsen it's okay, it's true i was the first to hit Aubrey and raise my voice, i'm sorry it will not happen again i promise" i interfere
She goes back to look at me, her gaze is so serious and ... disappointed?
Her eyes turn dark green, like a forest on a rainy day.
"Fine i hope so, you should go before i change my mind" she says turning to Aubrey
Aubrey looks at me once more and then runs away
"I'm sorr-"
"Are you hurt?" Lizzie askes me
"No"
"Fine, she's your girlfriend?" why is she asking me?
"My ex-girlfriend" i point out
"Ok good" she's so cold
"I don't want to see you in a similar situation anymore, understood?" she adds
"Yes Miss"
"Ok good girl, now it's better if you go"
"Are you mad at me Lizzie?" i ask
"Yes but more with her" she says
"Why?" i question confused
"I saw it all and she treated you like shit and you don't deserve it" she tells
"Maybe yes, maybe i deserved it"
"Stop Y/n no one deserve to treat like that, especially you, you're a good person i can see it" a soft smile appears on her face
"I guess you don't want to talk about it, much less with me, but if you change your mind you know where to find me" she says
"Uhm actually no Lizzie"
She starts laughing.
God did i just make Elizabeth Olsen laugh?
"You're right sorry, it's a stupid cliché. I meant that i'm always free in case you want to talk about everything you want, i'm happy to be able to help you and i'm sure you will find me if you really want to" she explains
"Oh okay thank you Lizzie, see you tommorrow"
"See you honey" she says kindly
A big smile places on my face.

LIZZIE'S POV
While i walk to my car i continue to think about y/n. How she was emotionally and psychologically destroyed before.
Her irises were a dark brown, almost black, while her eyes were red and filled with tears that she was obviously fighting to keep.
Her lips trembled and her screams of pain, god still invade my ears.
I don't know what that bitch said to her but whatever it is it hurt her, so much and i'm sorry i couldn't do anything to help her.
Y/n reminds me so much of me when i was her age. She's fragile like a dry leaf in autumn but i also feel that she is incredibly strong.
From her story in class i realized that she's somehow special, different from other girls her age and i'm sorry to see her suffer.
In class she was looking at me, she's probably a fan of mine and she's too shy to tell, but if that's the case then it will be a good starting, i'll do everything to make her a little happier.
Even if she's a student of mine, first of all she is a human being who must be helped and that is what i will do.
Something, even if i knowing her only from today, pushes me to be protective of her.
