Traumatic Memories
Traumas are alive during the days,
it repeatedly relive in my thoughts.
When the day is over then comes night,
I have nightmares when I sleep.
I can see images from the past,
I can hear the sounds during the incident,
and I can feel the feelings I've felt before.
I can see, hear, and feel the past again.
Memories of the past keep on haunting me,
making me unable to move forward.
I'm always traumatized- easily startled.
I'm being tortured by that traumatic past.
It was an incident I couldn't talk about
and don't want to remember but I always get flashbacks.
I'm living in the past, not in the present reality,
for the incident is happening all over again.
