for a poet to be in love,
what a hard reality it is.
to express my emotion
through the art of spoken words,
what a hard reality it is.
but as my art presents itself
i will paint you
gently with the strokes of my light brush.
stroking the skin of yours
in a rich black style,
as i elegantly glance your soul onto the canvas
as white as the snow, a lily-white style,
but as i continue, i realise,
what a hard reality it is,
to ever paint words that define you
in a way that you are entitled to be.
