"work hours starts at 8 am honey" Krzeminski called out as Evy walked inside the bullpen making everyone's head turn to her. She raised her middle finger at him and kept walking towards her desk
"good you're here" Jack spoke sitting on the edge of his desk that's next to Evy's making her groan with her head down on her desk still feeling dizzy. Jack let's out a laugh satisfied to know that he annoyed her
"you might want to file these s-" Jack stops his own sentence when she finally raised her head up to shoot him a glare seeing her pale
"you're more pale than these surveillance reports are Lenoir" he stated coolly "I didn't ask" she respond taking them from his hand "did you even sleep or eat anything?" he asked
"why do you care" she turned to her desk and opened the surveillance reports "I don't" he grinned making his way back to Chief's office
"where's peggy?" Evy asked glancing at her desk "in here" Peggy spoke coming out of the room where the files are at "jesus, Evy are you okay?" she asked worriedly hurrying up to her desk
"I'm okay peg, just had a late night" she lied giving her a smile "I'm okay, I promise" she laughed when Peggy placed a hand on her forehead checking her temperature "you're so pale"
"you need anything else?" Dooley asked Jack when he came back to his office after sending him out "Lenoir is pale as hell Chief, I think the woman deserves a rest day" he explained making Dooley turn to him with a small grin on his lips
"what happened to her?" he asked "didn't asked, she just walked in here like that" he shrugged "why are you the one telling me this and not her?" Dooley asked hiding his growing smirk "you know the woman chief, she's stubborn she will never tell you she's not feeling well"
"alright, send her home then" jack nodded in response walking towards the door when the chief called him "you like her don't you" it was more of a statement than a question making Jack scoff "never, she always gets on my nerves"
"exactly why" he smirked. Jack nodded not understanding what he meant but decided to leave his office "Lenoir" he called standing in front of the Chief's office "take a rest day. Chief's orders" Evy glanced at him with scrunched eyebrows "what? I'm fine" she replied before Dooley came out "Jeez, Thompson was right you are pale as hell. Go home Agent Lenoir" Evy rolled her eyes
"I am okay, I can w-"
"Lenoir for once in your life, stop being so stubborn"
"Chief I told you I'm fine"
"doesn't look like it"
"wha-"
"Carter go with her. Take her home, go shopping or whatever will make your friend feel better" he cuts her off making her sigh in defeat "of course" peggy replied. Evy shoot Jack a glare making him smile "what? I did you a favor" he grinned shoving his hands on his pockets

"what happened to you?" peggy asked when they both sat down across from each other on the booth "just didn't got enough sleep that's all" she reasoned "then after this you better go home and rest" peggy pushed the plate in front of her signaling her to eat
"what's wrong?" evy asked looking at Peggy's eyes "huh?" peggy respond confused "you don't look fine to me" evy replied eating her food "my uh, roommate" peggy gulped "colleen? what about her?" evy asked with a smile remembering the sweet girl
"she passed away" peggy mumbled loud enough for her to hear making Evy's smile drop "what?" she whispered looking at Peggy's eyes seeing tears forming into them "oh peggy" she stood up from her booth and sat next to hers to wrap her in a tight comforting hug
Peggy let's out a sigh finally getting the comfort that she's been needing ever since it happened "I'm sorry" Evy mumbled rubbing her shoulders "what happened?" she asked looking at her "I went home and found her on bed already dead, somebody broke in"
"that's what the police said?" peggy nodded. Evy wanted to ask how the police let it all slip that quick but she didn't wanted to press her more seeing how hurt she already looks
after minutes has passed, peggy glanced at Evy with a reassuring smile before she went back to her booth "I'm gonna ride a taxi with you to make sure you're home safe and then I'll go straight home" peggy said fixing her things "nope, I'm perfectly fine and I'm going back to the HQ" evy smiled at her
"Evelyn no you are not. Chief sent you home, just follow him" peggy stood from her booth and so did Evy "the hell I will" she linked her arm with Peggy's as they made their way out
"evy please rest, for God's sake give yourself a break"
"I am completely doing fine Peggy"
"you still need to rest"
"I can handle myself and I'll rest when I want to"
"evelyn no, I'm taking you home"
"peggy stop, I'm alright" evy pulled her arm when Peggy started pulling her towards the street to wait for a taxi "and what are you even gonna do on the HQ? our work hours ends at 5pm evy, it's almost 6"
"I don't have anything to do at home so I'll work my ass off in there" she grinned at her "yeah like Chief will let you" evy smiled widely at her "oh he will"
"but I won't" she said earning a eye roll from her "end of discussion" she sternly said when she was about to say something "peggy" evy called in a sweet tone "what" peggy groaned
Evy stepped towards her with a small smile on her lips and looked straight at Peggy's eyes with a doe eyed look on hers "I'm okay, no need to worry about me so please let me go back in the HQ" she said in a low tone keeping her eyes on Peggy's
"please?" she asked with a small pout, when peggy let's out a sigh Evy eventually grinned "just make sure you'll be taking care of yourself okay?" peggy gave in "yes, of course" she smiled widely
"I'll get going peg" she announced going in for a hug "that damn eyes of yours" peggy groaned making her laugh "you love it"
"take care" peggy told her when she pulled her into a hug before Evy placed a kiss on her cheek nodding in response. Peggy also placed a kiss on her cheek and went towards her taxi while Evy is making her way back to the HQ with a huge grin on her lips knowing how she can easily manipulate someone with her eyes. Having emerald green eyes is a blessing

"Evy?" Daniel asked confused why she's on the HQ knowing that both her and Peggy's shift ends at 5 "what the hell are you doing here, didn't I told you to go home and your shift has ended" dooley spoke leaning back to his chair "hi daniel" she smiled at him before turning to Dooley
"like I said lately, I'm fine and I know my shift ended but you won't mind if I stay here with you guys and do works right?" she asked giving him the sweetest smile she got
"Lenoir, how hard is it to understand that the ladies on this HQ goes home on 5. If you're forgetting, you are a lady" he stated glaring at her knowing she won't back down easily
"how can I forget that, but chief please I got nothing to do at home so let me stay here and do whatever you need me to do"
"I'll let you do that tomorrow"
"come on chief what's the big deal about me staying as long as you guys"
"Lenoir, go home and just come back here when your shift starts alright?"
"you have files for me to file tomorrow, I'll do them now"
Dooley let's out a deep sigh after pinching the ridge of his nose. Evy's stubbornness really gives him headaches and he knows she's very aware of that
"but you're going home at 9" he gave in making her smile "11" she added "no, 9" he glared at her "11" "Lenoir, I said 9 take it or not" she nodded her head "10:30 it is then" she grinned making Dooley groan loudly earning a laugh from both her and Daniel
"what were you saying?" Dooley asked Daniel glaring at them both for laughing "flight manifests turned up nothing" he explained standing closer to Dooley "We got a call in to London. I know a guy there. He's..." their head turns when Jack loudly placed a box in Chief's desk "we were in the middle of something here, Jack"
"what are you doing here?" Jack asked, his head turning at Evy "none of your business" she retorts. Dooley spoke before Jack could even reply to her knowing the two would only start arguing again "what's this?"
"the bouncer from the broom closet finally came to. Says he caught a blonde with Raymond's body around 9:30"
"why didn't he stop her?"
"cause they're still pulling staples out of his face"
"get that" dooley pointed at the telephone on his desk when it rang "so we're looking for an angry blonde" evy said answering the phone
"have you called my house?" the three male continued their conversation while Evy listens on the other line of the telephone
"Double-time this over to the lab, see if we can..."
"Port authority says Roxxon Refinery just blew up" Evy spoke making them turn to her
"the whole thing?"
"any casualities?"
"Hard to say. They can't find the building" evy replied before Dooley abruptly stood up "let's go. You two, you're with me" he motioned to the two men "what about me?" evy asked "we're dropping you off home" Jack spoke
"I didn't ask y-"
"Lenoir, we are dropping you home" Dooley turned to her "fine" she groaned making Jack smile smugly at her. Evy glared at him before kicking him on the leg "Lenoir!" he yelled at her when she left the office smiling
