RILEY'S POV
" Riley!!! C'mon gurl leggggggooooooooo"
Somebody was jumping up and down on my bed. I was still half asleep so I couldn't make out who it was. I pulled the covers off of me, to reveal a very excited Megan.
" Noooooo Megan let me sleep, it's way to early for this." I whined.
" Yea but if we want to make it to San Fransico before nightime, I suggest we get moving.... NOW."
I immediately jumped up and yanked her leg, making her fall right next to me on the bed. She giggled, but I looked at her dead in the eye.
" Megan, we are not leaving the city. Especially after what happened yesterday..." I raised my eyebrow, making her blush. " C'mon, we still havent even gotten our drivers license! Who's gonna take us on a 6 hour drive?"
" Shawn is going with us... and a friend."
She looked at me nervously, but at the time I didn't give it too much importance, I was barely awake.
LATER
Megan told me we'd be leaving at around 8:30, which barely gave me an hour to get myself ready, and pack for 2 days.
I took a shower then started packing. Even though it was only 2 days, I needed to be prepared for any occasion. I packed, pjs, underwear, bras, sweatpants, shirts, and 2 nice dresses. Also, packed some shoes, and a pair of heels. Don't forget the toothbrush and deodarant. I didn't want to be all stanky.
I was barely ready by the time Megan told me Shawn was outside in the car. I grabbed my duffle bag, purse, and ran out the door. As we walked down the stairs, Megan started to eyeball me while playing with her fingers.
" Megan, what's wrong? You've been acting weird all morning." I said, crossing my arms.
" Nothing." she quickened her pace. Whatever.
DING! DING!
My phone, it's a text from Lucas...

Lucas: Hey :)) I have my phone with me now...
Riley: Yup, i see that.
Lucas: Ha, soooo... I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out later?
Riley: I would love to..
Lucas: YaY
Riley: But I can't...
Lucas: Shit.
Riley: I'm going on a trip, but maybe when I get back?
Lucas: Yea, sure, sounds great...
Riley: Okay gotta go, bye :)))

I locked my phone then threw it in my purse. I looked ahead to see Megan already in the car. She was sitting up front, next to Shawn. And I noticed someone in the back seat, I couldn't make out their face just yet.
" Hey, Shawn, who's your friend?" I said chuckling, he turned around to face me. Let's just say
I wasn't laughing anymore.
CAMERON'S POV
After seeing Riley yesterday, I was basically depressed. Why was I such an idiot? I shouldn't have kissed Marina in front of Riley. Or AT ALL. I got little sleep, but I woke up early. I check my phone, I had a few texts from... Megan?

Megan: Hey Cameron, I know this is weird... but I can't stand to see Riley away from you. She's.... changed. I told her we'd be going on a road trip to San Francisco with Shawn, but I'm sure if you come along, maybe you'll win her back? Anyways, if you decide to come just show up at Shawn's. Bye.

Make up with Riley? I'd love to. The problem is, will she want me back? I have to at least try.
Megan mentioned road trip, so I should pack some clothes. I leave for the door, when I stop. Why would I even try? After I kissed another girl in front of her, but in my defense, we are broken up, but I still love her with all my might
I get in my car, all the way there, thinking how Riley would react seeing me. Once I was there, I knocked on Shawn's door, and he greeted me with a bro hug. We're not that close but okay. We waited for a while, then headed out to his car. I was getting a little anxious, and I got even more nervous when Megan got in the car, and I saw Riley standing a little further away from the car.
" I'm glad you came." Megan said.
" I love her." I said,
" I know." she said, giving me a small smile.
Riley came up to the car moment later. I looked the other way.
" Hey Shawn who's your friend?" she said, enthusiastically. I faced her, and her expression dropped.
She gave Shawn a stern look, and gave Megan an even harsher one. It looked hot on her. She shoved her duffle bag in the trunk, then rushed in, beside me.
Shawn started the engine, and we were off.
LATER
It's been about 4 hours, and Riley still hasn't said a word to me. Other than
" Excuse me" " Sorry" " Pass me the hot sauce, please."
I had to do something.
I got the perfect idea. I began to " fall asleep" , then slowly, I started to lean unto her shoulder. She seemed startled at first, and seemed to be moving further away, but I just snuggled in closer.
" I think he's out cold." I heard her say.
" Ya'll look cute." said Megan.
" Don't, this hurts enough, especially when it's not my choice."
" What do you mean?" Shawn said.
Riley lifted up my eyelid and shook my head around a little bit, making sure i was really asleep. Luckily, I had mastered pretending to be asleep, ever since I was a little kid.
" Fine, I'll tell you guys. But please don't mention it to Cameron."
" Promise." Shawn and Megan said together.
" Okay. So, a few days ago, specifically the day Cameron was injured, while I was there, I was hauled in a van..... * ETC ETC*"
" Oh my god" I heard Megan say. I was infuriated myself, I know it's wrong to have these thoughts, but I wanted to kill Clarissa. How could I have dated someone so vain? So evil? Ruthless.
"yep. I still love Cameron, and you well know that."
Those words. THOSE WORDS.
My heart felt like it was going to burst.
She still loves me.
After a little while, I " woke up". Riley was quiet. Then, a couple more hours, and we were at the hotel. San Francisco was beautiful. We checked in, and were all in the elevator, Shawn handed me and Riley hotel cards for our room.
" Wait, we're sharing a room??" Riley asked Shawn.
" Yes, and before you argue, I'm sharing a room with Megan. And that's final." Shawn said, while holding Megan's hand.
" Don't worry Riles, we'll be in the floor above you guys." Megan said,
" Fine but try not to make too much noise." Riley said, and started laughing. I couldn't hold in mine either.
Megan turned red, and Shawn just looked at us.
The elevator opened to me and Riley's floor, we got out. We both turned our backs to the elevator, and just barely before the elevator doors closed,
" Same to you.." Shawn said, then the doors closed.
We both looked at each other, just for a second, then turned away.
This is going to be one long night.
