I put my phone in my bag and refused to answer any text or call Elijah sent me. I walked around the town keeping an eye out for Katherine. It was a party night, masquerade ball at the lockwood manor. She might show up there or she is about the town.
I saw a dress in a store window, it was long, elegant and a lovely colour of purple with pink at the bottom. The same kind of dress next to it was black and grey. I walked in and bought the black one and bought heels to match. I took it to the house and walked in.
"Hey Alaric!" I smiled.
"Just Ric is fine Isabelle." He smiled back at me as he was cutting some food.
"Then just Izza or Izz is fine with me."
"How about I call you Belle?"
"Oh god no! Dad tried that and I ignored him for hours until he apologised." I walked over and took the knife and cut the food up while he made a cup of tea. Jenna was on bed rest so he was looking after us.
"Ok, how about Isa?"
"Alaric..."
"I'm sorry about your parents. Elena told me. I'm just trying to cheer you up." He placed a gentle hand on my shoulder and it made me smile.
"Thank you, Ric." I put the food away and me, him and Jeremy went to the Salvatore house.
When we got in we all started planning for the masquerade ball, we eventually came up with a plan. We were gonna find a way to trap Katherine. We all were ready, even Bonnie, she was willing to help longs if nobody got hurt.
We waited for night to fall, I got into my dress and put on a purple eye mask for the party. I grabbed my heels and put them on before letting Caroline fix my hair. I told them I would meet them there, get the room ready for Katherine. I left the house and used the wind to make my way to the party.
Once at the house, I snuck past everyone and to an empty room. I texted Bonnie the room and she made sure to do the spell there, Jeremy set up the weapons. I helped with the spell before going to enjoy the party.
I walked about the party and seen a bar, perfect. I walked over and ordered a lot of drinks, downing one after the other. I stopped drinking as a lady walked past, magic, Bonnie must have noticed too. I went back to drinking, using my magic to stay sober and clear minded.
I seen Damon and walked over, him and Stefan were talking. They both walked away, plan time! I walked to Bonnie and took her hand. We both smiled and we walked about, we seen Elena. She talked to us and we told her our plan. She screamed out and started bleeding, SHIT!
"She's linked! A binding spell! Fuck!" I helped Elena sit down with Bonnie as we tried to subdue the pain. I got up and ran to the room we used to trap her.
I ran in and glared at Katherine. "A FUCKING BINDING SPELL!? OH WOW WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A BASIC BITCH WOULD CHOSE A BASIC SPELL!" My fins showed as I made my way over to her. Stefan tried to stop me but I threw him at a wall, Damon tried next and I did the exact same.
Katherine got up and backed away from me, my eyes went into slits and my nails grew longer. I grabbed her arm and showed my teeth before saying an incantation. She backed away quickly but stopped when she heard the final two sentance.
"Break the bond, break it twice, break the thread that intertwines the lives. So it be done" I smiled sweetly before bitting her arm and tearing a chunk out it.
"Isabelle! That will harm Elena!" I looked to Damon and dropped the skin in my mouth.
"It is broken. Elena is ok, I am getting revenge!" I turned back to Katherine to see her running around the room before grabbing water and throwing it at me. I fell forward because of my tail, Damon catched me and Stefan walked over to make sure I calmed down.
Damon knocked me out and the last thing I saw was a lady walking in and handing Katherine the moonstone. Katherine fell and all went dark.
I woke up on the couch with Jenna playing with my hair, Alaric placing a drink down for me and Jeremy watching me. I sat up and looked at them all before taking the drink and smiling, I drank it.
"You're ok!" I held Jenna's hand before resting my head on her shoulder.
"You have no clue how better I feel." I giggled before closing my eyes again. I felt her wrap an arm around me and someone sitting next to me. They wrapped an arm around me as well, I felt safe. I felt like I was home.
"Isabelle, your phone has been going like crazy. Who is Jerkface?" I opened my eyes and got up quickly and grabbed the phone from Jeremy. "Who is it?"
"An asshole I thought that took the hint when I told him to leave me alone. I need to go answer this." I walked into the kitchen, I knew they were listening in so i answered the call anyways.
"Heard about Elena, she is Katherine's doppelganger. She has to go, infact I have her right now." I growled but spoke quietly.
"Harm her and I will kill you, understand?"
"You won't kill me dear, you allowed me to drink your blood and you allowed me to be in your life. Let's meet up so we can talk."I looked back at everyone before saying something stupid.
"Fine, one last date. You know I can't say no to you. Same spot? Good. Meet you there." I hung up and walked to my room. I punched the wall before grabbing clothing I needed to make it seem like I was going on a date. Tank top with shorts and trainers. All black with natural make-up before I left.
I walked to the cabin and met Elijah, I slapped him but he didn't seem phased. He smiled slightly and grabbed my arm, still gentle but stronger than normal.
"Let's go see Elena, shall we?" He started walking, he dragged me with him. "I wonder what she will think if you show up with me, after all it's a date."
"You are a huge jerk, Elijah! I can't believe I lived with you!" He picked me up before running to a house many miles away. It looked abandoned and broken. He placed me down and I just stared at the building. "She's in there?"
"Yes. Now, hold my hand or the two vampires inside will try and kill you." I reluctantly grabbed his hand, Elena needed me alive than dead.
"Just so you know, I am changing my number after this and I will be taking my things from the cabin. Also-" I tried to step back but he held a good grip on my hand and placed another over my mouth.
"Isabelle, listen to me. Obey what I say or you will have your cousin and yourself killed." His voice was different, it was scarier and dark. I tried to move back again, I couldn't, I was scared of him. "Ok?"
"O-ok." I walked in with Elijah, silent and looking at the surroundings. Everything was abandoned, nobody live here so vampires could enter freely. Good to know.
I heard a noise and tightened my grip on Elijah's hand. He chuckled before we saw a female vampire. She had short hair, it was cute on her. She looked at me and hissed, I moved closer to Elijah.
"She is with me, do not harm her." He let my hand go and followed her but stopped to look at me. "Explore." He continued after the lady to the other room to talk.
I walked around the house's bottom floor before walking up the stairs. I seen the cousin that Elijah said he had, Elena. A male vampire attacked me so I ran to a different side of the room, just then Elijah come in.
He ran over to me and threw the male at the wall before going to Elena and looks over her. I watched, fear still going through my body. He tried talking to her but she stayed silent. I walked over quietly and took his hand.
"She...She won't talk to you." I felt him hold my hand back before saying that we had a long journey ahead of us and he had one last bit of business to do. He moved me next to Elena before letting my hand go and moving towards the two vampires, I watched as he talked to them before killing the male and telling Rose, the female, she was free.
He walked back and took my hand as he compelled Elena after throwing her necklace away. Then we heard noises, he grabbed Elena with his other hand before dragging us to the entrance. Vampires were running about, I heard Damon say down here. The guys came to save us, thank god!
The vampire was with Damon while Elena was with Stefan. I was left with Elijah. I watched as Elena threw a vervain bomb at him and Stefan shot stakes at him. He tacked Elijah down the stairs and Damon trapped him with a big wooden coat rack through the chest. Elena and Stefan hugged and left the house with Damon and Rose.
I walked to Elijah and took the rack out his chest before lying him down properly. He looked peaceful... I rubbed his cheek gently before saying goodbye. He scared me but deep down I still liked him. I heard Damon shout my name, I looked at my hands before taking off my dad's necklace and handing it to Elijah's dead body. I got up and walked out to the car and got in.
"Where is your necklace?" Damon was noticed very quickly, I stayed quiet and got in the car. They drove us home and I went to my room and hugged my pillow before falling asleep.
