You wake up, to find yourself on Steve's back, while he walks down the railroad and the rest are in front, when you realize the position you two are in your face glows a nice shade of red
"What are we going" you ask adjusting your arms
"Hey, take it easy...you took a pretty nasty cut to your upper right thigh, other than that your okay, and I'm not sure where we are going" Steve saids calmly, you then bury your face into his neck
"It hurts" you say blandly, not in as much pain as you were earlier
"Yeah, I know, I know, but it'll get better, once we get you to a hospital" Steve saids
"Ok" you say
"You're positive that was Dart?" Lucas asks Dustin
"Yes. He had the same exact yellow pattern on his butt." Dustin replies
"He was tiny two days ago." Max says
"Well, he's molted three times already" Dustin says
"Malted?" Steve asks
"Molted. Shed his skin to make room for growth like hornworms" you but in to which everyone turns to you and Steve, seeing your awake
"Y/n are you ok, I was so worried" Dustin says as he runs up to you, taking your hand
"I'm fine, Dustin" you say
"Are you sure your okay, there was a lot of blood that you lost" Lucas pipes in
"Yes, I am positive"
"Okay" Dustin says then keeps walking making everyone follow
"Anyway, when's he gonna molt again?" max asks as Steve hands you his flashlight so you can shine the way and he can hold on to you, making sure you don't fall
"It's gotta be soon" Dustin saids "when he does, he'll be fully grown, or close to it" Dustin says
"And so will be his friends" you say
"Yeah, and he's gonna eat a lot more than just cats" Steve says
"Wait, a cat" Lucas says stopping Dustin "Dart ate a cat?" He asks
"No, what? No" you and Dustin say in sync
"What are you two talking about! He ate Mews" Steve says
"Mews? Who's Mews?" Max asks
"It's Dustin and y/n's cat" Steve says to which you slap his arm with your free hand, as you and Dustin yell "Steve"
"I knew it! You both kept him!" Lucas says
"No! No, no, we..." Dustin says looking at you then back at Lucas
"No, we... he missed us" you say to which everyone gave you a "really" glare
"He wanted to come home" Dustin adds
"Bullshit!" Lucas says
"We didn't know he was a Demogorgan, okay" You say
"Oh, so now you admit it?" Lucas says looking between you and Dustin
"Guys, who cares? We have to go" max says
"I care! You both put the party in jeopardy! You broke the rule of law!" Lucas says
"So did you" Dustin yells
"What?" Lucas saids
"You told a stranger the truth!" Dustin saids shining a flash light in Max's face for a second to which she scoffs

"Hey they are your friends" Steve says as the three argue, to which you snicker to, you then hear screeching in the distance to your right, so you shined your flashlight that way and obviously Steve heard it too because he started walking that way "hey guys" Steve says
"Guys!" You yell at them making them look at you and Steve, the screeching continues so you look back in the direction, Steve then starts walking that way
"No, No, No. Hey, guys, why are you headed towards the sound? We still have to get y/n to a hospital" Max yells as you four head towards the screeching, she then decides to join you four, after walking for a bit your at a cliff where you get a whole view of Hawkins
"I don't see him" Dustin says, Lucas then takes out his binoculars
"It's the lab" Lucas says "they were going back home."
You all then walk down to the lab, you still on Steve's back since your in no good condition to walk
"Hello, who's there? Who's there?" Someone yells as you come out of the woods, you then see...Nancy and Jonathan?
"Steve?" Nancy and Jonathan say
"Nancy?" Steve saids
"Jonathan" you say
"What are you doing here?" Nancy asks
"What are you doing here?" Steve asks
"We're looking for Mike and Will, whoa y/n are you ok" Nancy saids looking at the blood dripping from your thigh
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" you say
"They're not in there, are they?" Dustin asks
"We're not sure" Nancy says
"Why?" Jonathan asks to which you all hear screeching which makes your head snap towards the lab, you jump off of Steve's back, holding yourself up by holding on to his shoulder, he takes his backpack from you and puts in on his back
Now everyone is talking while you stand by the fence, then all the lights turn on
"The power's back" you state making everyone run to the gate door, all though you just walked, Jonathan then presses the button multiple times to which it doesn't work
"Let me try" Dustin says
"Hang on" Jonathan says
"Let me try, Jonathan" Dustin saids pushing him out of the way as you make your way over to Steve holding on his shoulder again to which when Dustin also hits the button it doesn't work
"Son of a bitch. You know what" Dustin says then slams the button as hard as he can to which it still doesn't work so you step in and use your powers to open the gate to which makes Dustin think he opened it
"Hey! I got it!" Dustin saids chuckling "I got it"
"We're not all gonna fit in that car" you say, you then hear gun shots from the lab
"Ok stay here, we'll be back" Nancy saids as her and Jonathan get in the car and drive to the lab,
Max, Lucas, and Dustin are all standing in the road while you lean on Steve's side and he leans on the small pole type thing
"Guys" max says as you hear tires screeching, to which they honk
"Get out of the way" you yell to which they all run out of the road then Jim pulls up in his vehicle after Jonathan drives off
"Let's go" Jim says to which the kids get in the back with you
"Come on, let's go! Let's go! Come on" you yell at the kids then Steve gets in the front
"Ok let's go" Steve says to which Hopper drives off
Your now in Joyce's bathroom with Nancy, she currently bandaging your thigh
"Ow" you say to which she keeps says sorry, once she's done you wash your face, you get the blood and dirt off of it, once your done you grab a towel and dry your face, you turn Nancy who is leaning against the counter looking...sad?
"What's wrong?" You ask to which she looks up at you
"Oh uh...nothing, it's nothing" She says
"It's obviously something, what happened come on you can tell me" you say
"I'm pretty sure me and Jonathan are a thing now and...but I still like Steve, and I know I shouldn't, because that's messed up and I don't know what to do" Nancy explains
"Oh well um...follow your heart Nancy, and I think right now your heart belongs with Jonathan, but a piece still belongs with Steve, listen I know what went down between you and Steve and I think it's best to be with the person you really love and I think that's Jonathan, and don't lead the other one on that will just end in disaster" you say then walk towards the door
"What about you, I mean I see the way you look at Steve and the way he looks at you" Nancy saids which made you stop in your tracks
"It's not like that" you say looking down at your hand that was on the door handle "Besides he would never like me like that"
"Yeah sure, just try to ask him out once this is all over with, please, for me?" Nancy asks
"Yeah, sure" you say looking at her then walking out the door
"We'll see? We can't just sit here while those things are loose" Mike yells as you stand by Dustin
"We stay here, and we wait for help" Hopper says then walks away
"You ok?"Mike asks you to which Dustin looks at you
"Yeah I'm all good" you say
Now everyone is sitting down not sure what to do, while you stand beside Steve looking out the window, Mike then gets up and goes into a different room and picks up something "Did you guys know that Bob was the original founder of Hawkins AV" Mike asks to which you all look at him
"Really?" Lucas asks
"He petitioned the school to start it and everything." Mike says turning around facing everyone "then he had a fund-raiser for equipment, Mr.Clarke learned everything from him, pretty awesome, right?"
"Yeah" Dustin and Lucas both say, Mike then sets the cube, that he picked up in the other room down on the table
"We can't let him die in vain" Mike says
"What do you want to do, Mike" Dustin asks "The Chief's right on this, We can't stop those Demo-dogs on our own"
"Demi-dogs?" Max asks
"Demogorgan, Dogs, Demo-dogs" Dustin says "it's like a compound, it's like a play on words—"
"I can stop them" you say interrupting him
"No, No you can't, you can barley walk as it is" Dustin says looking you in the eye "I mean, when it was just Dart, maybe..."
"But there's an army now" Lucas says

"His army" Mike says
"What do you mean?" Steve asks
"His army. Maybe if we stop him, we can stop his army, too" Mike says
You all then run to wills room and Mike picks up the drawing of the shadow monster and hands it to Dustin and Lucas
"The shadow monster. It got Will that day on the field" you say
"The doctor said it was like a virus, it infected him." Mike says
"And so this virus, it's connecting him to the tunnels?" Max asks
"To the Tunnels, monsters, the upside Down, everything" Mike says
"Whoa. Slow down. Slow down" Steve says then looks at the drawing
"Okay, so, the shadow monster's inside everything. And if the vines feel something like pain, then so does Will." Mike says
"And so does Dart" Lucas says
"Yeah. Like what Mr. Clarke taught us. The hive mind"
"Hive mind?" Steve asks
"A collection consciousness" Dustin says
"It's a super organism" you add "And this is the thing that controls everything. It's the brain" you say pointing at the shadow monster drawing
"Like the mind flayer" Dustin says to which everyone looks at him and Lucas snaps his fingers and points at Dustin
"The what?" "What?" Max and Steve asks
Everyone but Joyce is in dining room and Dustin grabs Wills D&D manual and flips to the "Mind flayer" page "The mind flayer" Dustin says putting down the manual on the table
"What the hell is that" Hopper asks
"It's a monster from an unknown dimension." Dustin says
"It's so ancient that it doesn't even know it's true home" you add
"Okay, it's enslaves races of other dimensions by taking over their brains using its highly-developed psionic powers" Dustin says
"Oh, my God, none of this is real. This is a kids game" Hopper says
"No, it's a manual. And it's not for kids. And unless you know something that we don't, this is the best metaphor-" Dustin says
"Analogy" Lucas corrects
"Analogy? That's what you're worried about? Fine. An analogy for understanding whatever the hell this is."
"Okay, mind flamer thing-" Nancy starts from beside
"Flayer. Mind flayer" you correct to which Nancy glares then continues
"What does it want?" She asks
"To conquer us, basically. It believes it's the master race." Dustin answers
"Like that uh, like the Germans?" Steve asks
"Uh, the Nazis?" You ask

"Uh, if the Nazis were from another dimension, totally. Uh, it views other races, like us, as inferior to itself." Dustin says
"It wants to spread, take over other dimensions." Mike adds
"We are talking about the destruction of our world as we know it. Lucas says
"That's great, that's great. That's really great. Jesus!" Steve says as he walks in to the kitchen running his hands though his hair
"Okay, so if this thing is like a brain that's controlling everything, then if we kill it.." Nancy saids
"We kill everything it controls" Mike saids
"We win" Dustin saids
"Theoretically" you say
"Great. So how do you kill this thing? Shoot it with Fireballs or something?" Hopper asks taking the Manual
"No. No, no Fire— No Fireballs" Dustin chuckles "uh, you summon an undead army, uh, because......Because zombies, you know, they do- they don't have brains, and the mind flayer, it...it...it likes brains" Dustin stammers "It's just a game. It's a game"
"What the hell are we doing here" Hopper saids slamming the book on the table
"I thought we were waiting for your military backup." You say
"We are!" Hopper saids
"Even if they come, how are they gonna stop this?" Mike asks
"You can't just shoot this with guns" you say
"You don't know that! We don't know anything!" Hopper says
"We know it's already killed everybody in that lab." Mike saids
"And we know the monsters are gonna mold again" Lucas saids
"We know that it's only a matter of time before those tunnels reach this town" Dustin adds
"They're right" Joyce saids from the hall to which makes you all look at her "We have to kill it." Hopper starts to walk towards her "I want to kill it"
"Me, too, Me, too, Joyce, okay?" Hopper says "But how do we do that? We don't exactly know what we're dealing with here."
"No. But he does, if anyone knows how to destroy this thing, it's Will." Mike says "He's connected to it. He'll know it's weakness"
"I thought we couldn't trust him anymore" Max said "That he's a spy for the mind flayer now."
" yeah, but he can't spy if he doesn't know where he is." You say
You, Nancy, and Steve are now in the shed behind Joyce's house putting tarps over the windows, walls and the door. As you held the tarp up Steve stabled it in place, you then tugged on tarp making sure it stayed in place to which Steve got off the ladder and then moves it over a little
"Hey" Nancy said to which you and Steve looked at her "what you guys did, um, helping the kids...that was really cool."
"Yeah" you say
"Those little shits are real trouble, you know?" Steve saids then gets back on the ladder
"Believe me, I know." Nancy saids as you hold the tarp agin so Steve can stable it
Once you are all done covering everything and setting down chairs, Jonathan brings Will out and puts him in the chair and that was your cue to leave and go in the house, while Hopper, Mike, Joyce, and Jonathan stay with Will
You walk into the living room seeing Steve swig his bat "you know if you keep swigging that your gonna take an eye out" you say to which he stops, turns around, and looks at you
"Yeah, yeah, I am always aware of my surroundings, okay?" Steve says
"Okay" you say putting up your arms in defense "just saying, I don't think that's safe" you say crossing your arms walking up to him
"I guess your right" he says
"I'm always right" you say and then sit on the couch to which Steve comes and sits beside you
"No, I don't think you are"
"Oh, really, what about that one time I told you not to do something you will regret and then you did and it almost ended your relationship and then that one time....I told you to not be friends with Carol and Tommy because it would be bad for you, but you did anyway and it changed you into a complete asshole...oh and that one-"
"Okay, okay that's enough" he interrupts you
"You can never win against me Harrington"
"Whatever, your way to cocky"
"Saids you" you say to which he smiles and then there was a comfortable silence "Do you think Will is gonna figure out where he is"
"I hope not, and if so I'll protect you"
"Yeah, ok, I will be the one protecting you"
You then walk into the dining room where everyone else is and then everyone that was in the shed rushes in and Hopper goes to the table with paper and a pen
"What happened" Dustin asks as everyone rushes over to hopper
"I think he's talking, just not with words." Hopper says as he draws a ".... . .__. ." On the paper
"What is that" Steve asks
"Morse Code" the boys say
"H-E-R-E" Hopper spells out
"Here" everyone saids
"Will's still in there. He's talking to us." Hopper saids
You are now sitting at the table with the paper in-front of you and a walk-in talkie and a canyon in hand and on the other side of the table Dustin with paper and a pen, hopper was going to press and hold a button so Dustin knew the dashes and dots to put on his paper and Lucas was beside him with a walk-in talkie Morse code booklet so you knew what to write
"Dash, dot, dash, dot" Dustin says
"Ok, I got it, C" Lucas says to which you write a C "L" Lucas says after the wallow talkie beeps again "O, S, E, G, A, T, E" Lucas saids to which you are now done writing and everyone surrounds you
"Close gate." Everyone says in unison and then the phone rings
"Shit, shit" Dustin saids as you both run over to it then Dustin picks it up then slammed in back down, then it rings again so you throw it off the wall with a grunt
"Do you think he heard that?" Max saids
"It's just a phone. It could be anywhere. Right?" Steve saids
"Let's hope" you say then you all hear monsters screeching in the distance
"That's not good" Dustin saids
Then everyone that was in the shed runs back inside
"Hey, hey, get away from the windows" Hopper yells "Do you know how to use this?" Hopper asks Jonathan
"What?" Jonathan saids
"Can you use this?" Hopper asks again
"I can" Nancy saids so Hopper throws her the Gun
You all then line up infront of the front door and window Hopper with his Gun, Steve with his Bat, Nancy with her Gun, and you with your hands raised ready to use your powers, oh and Lucas with his slingshot
"Where are they?" Joyce asks
There is then screeching from the side of the house "what are they doing" Nancy asks as you all see the bushes move outside of the dinning room window and then you all hear snarling from the the front room window again, the screeching stops....a demo-dog is then, thrown? In the house from the window which made everyone scream, hopper then slowly walks over
"Holy shit" Dustin saids
"Is it dead?" Max asks to which hopper kicks it and it doesn't move

You all then hear the door creaking from behind you so you all swiftly turn around to face it, the lock then turns and the other lock slide open and the door opens, and a girl that everyone has missed for a very long time walks though to which makes everyone lower their weapons ...it was El
