The walls gave the people a century of peace and security. The terror of being at their mercy and the humiliation of being trapped became a distant memory.
Until...
The battle for humanity's survival began the moment the Titans breached the wall. After innumerable casualties among soldiers and civilians alike, it was learned that some Titans were hiding among the humans. Finally, five years after the first wall fell, humans succeeded in capturing one of these disguised Titans: Annie Leonhart.
Nevertheless... the next threat to humanity was already close at hand.

As Annie's crystalize body gets dragged away, soldiers stare frozen up at the wall as Hanji and her comrade, Moblit stare confusedly at them.
[Louis]: Hanji...-A voice calls her, causing her to turn back, seeing Louis-
[Hanji]: Louis, what are you doing here? ..-She asks confused, Louis just shrugs- I thought you were hurt. Broken ribs are not easy to heal...
[Louis]: They don't hurt anymore, I'm healing slowly but surely...-He smiles at her, Hanji nods-
[Hanji]: Yes, and more because Levi healed you, right? ..-She smirks at him, making Louis look away, Hanji gasped when he noticed a blush on Louis's cheeks-
[Soldier]: Hey! Look!..-A soldier points at the wall to reveal a Titan inside of it. The Titan looks down at them as another soldier exclaims-
[Soldier 2]: A Titan?! In the wall?! It can't be!..-Hanji, Louis and Moblit rush over to the commotion as they sweat. Moblit turns to Hanji-
[Moblit]: Your orders, Section Commander?..-Hanji takes a step back-
[Hanji]: Huh? What? Hold on!..-She starts to sweat furiously as she mumbles- Was that there just by coincidence? Or does this mean...?..-A hand was placed on her shoulder as she gasps and turns to see Pastor Nick panting- Pastor Nick?...
[Pastor Nick]: Whatever you do...you must keep that Titan out of the sunlight!...
[Hanji]: Huh?...-She stares confusedly at him as her breath hitches-

[Soldier]: For now, we've covered the Wall Titan with sheets..-A soldier tells Erwin as they walk through a hallway- We'll take more proper measures after sunset...
[Erwin]: I see...
[Soldier 2]: What are we supposed to make of this, Sir? I never imagined there were Titans in the walls...-The soldier trails off as Erwin replies-
[Erwin]: No one did. There were only people who knew and people who didn't...
At Stohess District, Marlowe lowers his mask and stands up from a dead person's corpses.
[Marlowe]: What's the deal?! We just fought a Titan here. Why are they keeping us in the dark?..-Hitch lowers hers and shrugs-
[Hitch]: Business as usual. But what's scummiest of all...is that there's no "official" reason why all these people died...
At the wall, Hanji, Louis, Moblit, Pastor Nick, and the other soldiers were lingering around. Hanji looks down at the sheets covering the wall and turns back to Pastor Nick. Louis kicked the back of Pastor Nick, who complained about the kick he received.
[Louis]: Now then, it's time for you to talk. What is this Titan? What is it doing inside the wall? And... why did you people keep this a secret all this time?..
He doesn't say anything but stands up, finally saying.
[Pastor Nick]: I have work to do! My church and followers have been devastated! This is your fault! I will demand restitution! Now let me back down!..
[Hanji]: Certainly...-She grabs the collar of his shirt and leads him towards the edge, exclaiming- Will straight down do?..-Pastor Nick shakes as Moblit yells. Louis looks at Hanji and Pastor Nick in silence with his arms crossed-
[Moblit]: Section Commander!..
[Louis]: Moblit, leave her. She knows what she's doing...- He nods, Moblit looks at Hanji with sweat running down his face-
[Hanji]: Stay back...-She turns back to Pastor Nick and growls- Enough of this! Do you people know why we Scouts have shed so much blood?! To take back our freedom from the Titans! I was willing to sacrifice my own life for that cause! I'm not asking you to talk, I'm ordering you. Is that clear? And if you won't talk, I'll try the next person. Your measly life wouldn't make up for much, anyway!..-Pastor Nick whimpers, exclaiming-
[Pastor Nick]: Let... go of me!..
[Louis]: Like this? Right now?..
[Pastor Nick]: Yes!..
[Hanji]: Fine, then. Die...
[Moblit]: Section Commander!..
[Pastor Nick]: Kill me and learn! We will fulfill our duty, without fail! So... let go of me this instant!..-Pastor Nick begins to whimper again- Deliver me... O, Lord...-Hanji gives him one more glare before tossing him back on the ground. She sits down by the edge and places her glasses on, laughing-
[Hanji]: Just kidding. I wasn't serious..-Pastor Nick shakes as Hanji calls him, causing him to flinch- Tell me, Pastor Nick...Are all the walls made of Titans?..-Moblit approaches behind Hanji and whispers-
[Moblit]: Section Commander...-Hanji sighs, staring down at the city grounds-
[Hanji]: Whew, I forgot how this feels. I haven't felt this way since my first time outside the walls. Talk about terrifying...
Then suddenly, the city bells begin to ring as Louis widens her eyes and slightly gasps. Outside the walls, a soldier comes rushing in, riding his horse as he mutters.
[Soldier]: Hurry! Inform Commander Erwin! Hurry! There are Titans inside Wall Rose!...

Connie and Sasha stare outside the windows with their heads resting on the palms of their hands while Reiner and Bertolt play a game of chess. Next to Reiner, was (Y/n), who was looking at the game with some curiosity.
After visiting Eren, some soldiers told her that she had to come with them along with the other boys.
[Connie]: My village isn't far south of here, you know...-Connie sighs as Sasha adds-
[Sasha]: My hometown is close by too...
[Connie]: Damn. Why can't I go visit? Maybe I'll sneak out at night...-Moans Connie as Sasha looks at him with bored eyes-
[Sasha]: They told me not to come back until I'm normal...-Connie chuckles-
[Connie]: They told me I was too puny to be a soldier. Was genius enough to be one, though, I was in our class' top ten. I'm gonna go make 'em eat their words...
[Reiner]: Connie. If you're serious, I'll help..-Reiner blurts as the buzzcut-haired boy turns to him-
[Connie]: What? How come?..-Reiner turns his head to him-
[Rainer]: Doesn't it seem strange? We're on standby in our plain clothes and we're not allowed to train or wear our uniforms..-He pushes himself up and walks over to the window- Even more suspicious... is that everyone else is fully armed. We're inside the wall, not on the front line. Who are we fighting?..-Connie answers his question nonchalantly-
[Connie]: Well, there are bears in the area..
[Sasha]: Yeah. Bears...-Sasha moans. Reiner walks back to his seat, resuming the game-
[Reiner]: Guns are enough to handle bears..
(Y/n) picks up a game piece that was on the table as Reiner looks at it for a moment before speaking to her.
[Reiner]: And you, (Y/n)?..-The girl looks at him- Why are you here?..
[Y/n]: I don't know...-She tells him, Reiner stops playing to look at her- They told me that I had to come here, if someone is a leaker, I'll have to stop him...
[Reiner]: Huh, interesting..-He smiles at her, (Y/n) nods silently as she leaves the game piece on the table-
Sasha finally rips her eyes away from the window and looks in front of her while Reiner crosses his arms. She lets her head rest against the table before gasping and shooting up.
[Sasha]: I hear thuds! They sound like footsteps!..-Everyone stops what they were doing and turns to her at the sudden outburst-
[Y/n]: Huh?...What do you mean, Sasha?..
[Reiner]: Get serious, Sasha... If you're suggesting there are Titans here...
[Y/n and Reiner]: That'd mean Wall Rose has fallen..-The two say with a worried look-
Outside of the building the four were in, Mike sniffs the air and walks behind him, staring at the distance, making a soldier question.
[Soldier]: Mike?..
[Mike]: Tomas! Take three couriers and go!..-The other soldier, Tomas, furrows his brows- Notify each district! There are likely no Titans among the 104th Cadet Corps recruits!..-Mike clutches his hand into a fist and resumes his sentence- Multiple Titans from the south! Wall Rose has been breached!..
Back inside, Sasha yells to everyone, putting her hands in the air.
[Sasha]: It's the truth! I really hear footsteps!..-She stops when everyone notices the soldier who was with Mike had landed at the window the four were looking at. The soldier opens the window and states-
[Nanaba]: Everyone here?..-Christa stands up from her seat and questions-
[Christa]: Nanaba?..
[Nanaba]: Multiple Titans, 500 meters to the south. They're coming right this way...-Nanaba explains, making everyone gasp- There's no time for you to gear up. Take your horses and evacuate all nearby homes and settlements. Understood?..-Connie looks at her with horror, muttering-
[Connie]: From... the south?..-Sasha looks over at him with worry as Reiner turns to Bertolt, shrieking-
[Reiner]: Has the wall been breached?!..-Bertolt doesn't say anything as Nanaba yells again-
[Nanaba]: Get going! Lunch will have to wait, I'm afraid!..-She then flies off and lands on a roof where Mike stood- Mike..-She runs to him as he states-
[Mike]: There are nine in that swarm up ahead..-Nanaba looks at the Titans and tells-
[Nanaba]: They've broken through Wall Rose..
As she starts to talk, (Y/n), Reiner, Bertolt, Sasha, Connie, Christa, and Ymir grab their belongings and start to grab their horses.
(Y/n) looks around, clenches her hands into fists as she starts to sweat, Reiner notices that.
[Nanaba]: We never managed to uncover the Titans' secrets or figure out what they are. And now the day has come. Humanity... has lost..-Mike shakes his head-
[Mike]: No, not yet..-He turns around and begins to walk to his horse as Nanaba trails behind- Only when a person stops fighting do they lose. As long as we continue to fight, we are not beaten!...
Moments later, everyone had gotten on their horses and followed Mike as he directs.
[Mike]: As soon as the Titans reach the woods, we'll split into four teams of recruits and soldiers alike, and then simultaneously scatter in each direction! Avoid combat when possible and focus on getting the word out! Is anyone familiar with this region?!...-Instantly, Sasha shoots up her hand-
[Sasha]: M-Me! My town's north of here! I know the lay of the land well! And...-She places her hand down and turns to Connie- so does Connie!...-She waits to see a reaction from him, but she doesn't get it, making her call his name again- Connie?!..
[Connie]: My village...-Connie sweats- My village is to the south... where the Titans are coming from. I can take you to the nearby villages. After that... please let me visit mine..-Mike turns his head and gives a confirming nod-
[Mike]: Alright. You'll guide the southern team...
[Connie]: Yes, sir!..-Reiner makes his way over to Connie's side and shouts-
[Reiner]: I'll come with you, Connie...-Connie gives him a look-
[Connie]: The south will be crawling with Titans. It'll be the most dangerous..-Reiner gives him a side smile-
[Reiner]: So? I was going to help you sneak there anyway, remember? You coming, Bertolt?..-He questions his friend as he takes a moment before saying-
[Bertolt]: Of course I'll come..
[Y/n]:....-When she heard the boys' conversation, she thought for a few moments before approaching Connie- Connie, I'm going with you too..-She looks at him with determination as he and Reiner look at her-
[Nanaban]: As you may know..-Nanaba starts- today marks the newest darkest day in humanity's history! If ever humankind needed to give its all, that time is now!..-Mike looks up, yelling to everyone as he announces-
[Mike]: The Titans have reached the woods! Scatter! Ride as fast as you can!..-And so they did. Titans approach the woods before stopping. Then, they start to charge right at them as Mike jags is eyebrows- What?! They all started sprinting!..
[Y/n]: Whoa! They're going to cath up!..-She screams, watching the Titans. Mike cletches his teeth together as he looks away from the Titans, ordering-
[Mike]: Gerger!..-His makes his horse move faster as he continues to scream- Take charge of the southern team!..
[Gerger]: Sir?!..-Gerger yelled in confusion for a bit before nodding- U-Understood...-A soldier turns to Geger and throws out a question-
[Soldier]: He's using himself as bait?! He won't survive! I'll help!..
[Gerger]: No! We can't spare anyone else! Have faith in him! His skill is second only to Captain Levi! He'll make it back alive!..

This memory takes place before Wall Maria wasn't breached. Carla and Mikasa walk up the stairs to see Eren leaning against the wall as a dry white sheet flows within the wind.
[Carla]: Oh, Eren..Did you get into another fight?..-Carla questions him as he looks away from his mother. He looks back up at her to see her grabbing the white sheet-
[Eren]: Those jerks started it! They made fun of me!...-He looks at the ground before muttering some words that Carla couldn't hear clearly. Carla stops and questions Eren yet again-
[Carla]: So, I assume Mikasa had to come to you rescue again?..-The young mikasa approaches Carla, offering to help while she smiles warmly- Thanks..-She hands him wet cloths while Mikasa goes to hang them. Carla turns her head over to Eren and walks over, holding a cloth in her hand as she cups his cheek, cleaning the dirt on his face-
[Carla]: Eren. No matter how cruel someone is or how much you hate them, you can't always charge at them head-on!..-She scolds, kneeling down to his level- You're a man! Show some restraint! You need to be there for your friends...

Eren wakes up as he was laying on the bed he was on after the fight with the Female Titan. Eren sits on the bed and looks at Mikasa, who was sitting up, sleeping. He looked down at the scarf on her lap, causing a feeling of confusion to appear. He stares at her for a moment before pushing himself off of his bed.
Eren walks over to the window and gazes out as Mikasa's sleeping figure twitches a bit. Her left hand moves as the scarf falls to the ground, causing her to open her eyes. She was going to grab the scarf but she looked at Eren holding it.
[Mikasa]: That's...-Mikasa trails off as Eren turns to her-
[Eren]: Why do you have the (Y/n) scarf?..-He asks, but Mikasa remains silent while looking at the scarf in Eren's hands- It doesn't matter anymore. You gotta be tired. Go get some sleep..-He tells her as Mikasa looks away from him-
[Mikasa]: Sorry. I'm fine...-She muttered as Eren puts the scarf in her hands-
[Eren]: You have to take good care of that scarf. It is very important for (Y/n)..-He says while a small blush appeared on his cheeks. the door slams open, making Eren turn around quickly, to see Armin at the door as he yelled-
[Armin]: Eren! Mikasa! This is really bad!...-Mikasa gets up from her seat as he continues to yell- The Titans! They're inside Wall Rose!...

At the stables, Hanji goes and grabs her horse while Erwin stares out the window, watching everyone preparing. He heard a deep sigh behind him, he looked over his shoulder at Louis. His door opens as Levi steps in the room, groaning.
[Levi]: Ugh. Those damn Titans never give us a break...-He closes the door while Louis turns to see Levi in the same suit from the Female Titan attack-
[Erwin]: Can you go?..-The Commander questions as Levi takes steps forward-
[Levi]: Not like there's much choice...-Louis looks at Erwin as Levi walks to stand next to Louis-
[Louis]: It was wise to have Section Commander Mike watch the 104th. I believe he can handle the situation...-Erwin turns back to the window, nodding-
[Erwin]: Yes. Let's hope so..

Mike flies up as a Titan goes to grab him. He jumps on its arm and runs up to the nape, cutting it off as he lands on a roof. The Titan falls as Mike takes in a deep breath. He looks to his right to see a Titan staring at him as he mutters.
[Mike]: Four left...-He shakes his head though, changing his mind- No, it's time to go. I've brought enough time..-He places his blades away and whistles his horse. Her turns to his left to see a very strange Abnormal-
It was about 17-meters high as it's arms were close to touching the ground. The Titan also had fur and rather pointy ears. Mike furrows his eyebrows.
[Mike]: Still... I am concerned about that Abnormal. It's different. It looks over 17-meters tall. It's huge...And I've never seen a Titan covered in fur before. It's just walking around instead of coming for me. It's definitely an Abnormal, but...-He stops talking once he hears his horse neighs and dashes over to him- Great! You're back! I won't need to hold out until ngithfall..
As the horse comes across the haired-Titan, it gets picked up by it, making Mike's face drop.
[Mike]: It went for the horse?!..-Mike grabs his blades again and growls- You can't be serious!..
The Titan looks over at him and chucks the horse at Mike, who dodges when the horse hits against the roof. Mike rolls off the roof as a 3-meter Titan grabs him and opens its mouth. The Titan then bites down on his leg, causing him to scream in pain. Mike struggles in the Titan's grasp until the Titan stops moving.
[Mike]: Wait...-A shadow looms over Mike as the haired-Titan walks over and crouches down. Mike stares with fear as the Titan smiles down at him. The Titan that was holding him took another bite from his leg, causing the haired-Titan to cock an eyebrow-
[??]: Huh? Didn't I just say to wait?..-The Titan grabs the smaller one and crushes it's skull as Mike falls on the grass. He breaths heavy as the haired-Titan looks at its hand for a moment before smiling again- Tell me, what is that weapon called?..-Mike's breath hitches as he looks up- That thing on your waist that flies around..
Mike doesn't answer though, as he was shocked and frozen to what he was witnessing. The Titan frowns as it scratches its right ear.
[??]: I'm certain we speak the same language. Perhaps you're simply too frightened. Oh, I see you use swords, too. I guess that means you know we reside in the nape. Ah, well, I'll just take it back with me...
Its hand reaches out to Mike, who screams in fear and covers his head. The sound of his gear being removed makes him gasp as the Titan stands and begins to walks away. Mike still had his head covered as he breathes heavily. His expression changes back to determination as he grabs his blades on the ground, muttering.
[Mike]: As long as we continue to fight.. we are not beaten!..-He screams at the Titan as it stops walking, causing Mike to stop screaming as well. The Titan turns its head and announces-
[??]: You can move now...-And with that command, Titans start to run toward Mike as he gasps-
[Mike]: No! No!..-He tries to run away, but a Titan grabs him and pulls him back- Stop! Don't! No! No!..-The Titans start to maul on him as he lets out screams and cries. The Titan looks at the scene, mumbling-
[??]: So you can speak...-With that it starts to walk off as it holds the 3D Maneuver Gear in its fingers- I must say, what a clever idea..
[Mike]: No! No!..-Mike screams as each of his body parts get ripped off his body which eventually, leads with his head-
