There's been a stagnant silence around the table for the past couple of minutes until Enzo finally speaks
"This is bullshit! How could you still have this deal when it's been six years, take it back! She's 17 years old for fucks sake!" He shouts making everyone jump
"Lorenzo, please calm down, we tried to but we need this alliance more now than ever, it's law in our world that without a marriage mafias cannot unite in war and with the Russians being as they are right now, we must make decisions for our mafias not our families and you know how much that pains us" my dad says
Their trying to get the pity vote now......fuck that
"No, I'm sorry father dearest please elaborate on how forcing me into marriage with this asshole is paining you because it's really fucking good to know that my life is worth your signature on piece of paper" my father send me a sympathetic gaze but I'm so beyond pissed off right now.
"Tesoro please we're sorry-"my mum starts but I don't want to hear it

"You're sorry" I scoff "you're fucking sorry, how nice of you, I feel so much better now that you've apologized to me, now let's all go and try on wedding dresses and act like it's all ponies and fucking rainbows shall we, maybe even some cake tasting?" I ask rhetorically
"Fuck yeah on the cake part!" Oakley exclaims but shuts up when he sees the glares everyone is sending his way
He clears his throat "I mean, how could you do this to the both of them, and seriously you could've picked hunter and not one of my best friends, because they will have to produce an heir and that means sexy time and OH MY GOD IM HAVING NIGHTMARES ABOUT IT ALREADY!" I roll my eyes at him
Beside me Greyson finally decides to speak
"I want chocolate cake" what the fuck?
Everyone turns around in their chairs to look at him and he just shrugs
"There's no point in arguing you've already made up your minds and as much as I don't want to get married to little miss assassin over here, I'd rather not have to kill my family over a stupid contract you made when I was 12" I look at him dumbfounded
"You're not even gonna try to stop them?" I ask him
"What's the point Indigo, I'm just as pissed off as you are but mafia before family and if the Russians want to start a war then we have to do this if we even stand a chance of winning, we might be the biggest mafias but their ammunition is better than ours at this moment in time and we can't risk it" he says, oh right he's in his I'm the big bad mafia don and I'll kill you if you even look at me mode right now
"Mafia before family" I mock him "shut up you're not even the don yet and I don't want chocolate cake I want vanilla" I say, I'm being petty I know but I can't be asked to give a shit.
"I said chocolate first, if you wanted vanilla you should have got your priorities straight before complaining, and thought about the more pressing matters, like what flavor cake we'll be having" what a dick.
"Yeah that's not happening you ass, I'm the bride I pick" I argue "I'm the husband and I called dibbs" I scoff at him
"Dibbs, are you for real grey we're 18 not 5" he glares at me, I glare back "I'm being as real as this marriage blue" that's it.
I pull out my diamond encrusted dagger which I take everywhere with me from its holster on my thigh and press it to his neck "vanilla or I slit your throat" he remains calm and raises an eyebrow at me
Before I can think a gun is pressed against the side of my head "chocolate or I blow your brains out" he says

"Chocolate on the first and second layer vanilla on the third and fourth or I slit indi's throat and shoot Greyson in the head" we both turn to look at Alessia who has her knife and Is twirling it on her finger tip
I'm not scared of much but that woman.....yeah I'm scared of her
We both slowly sit down in defeat "look you two, I understand how much this sucks, me and Charles where an arranged marriage as well but look how that turned out, you're making it the end of the world my darlings when it's actually not. Look you will make this what you want, you can try to learn to love each other or you can hate each other until death but you will not under any circumstances be unfaithful to the other from the moment you say I do, am I clear?" She says in an authoritative tone
"Yes mum"
"Yes Ally" We both mumble displeased to say the least
A silence hangs over the table as everything that's happening begins to truly sink in before someone interrupts it.
"Can I be a bridesmaid?"
"OAKLEY!"
