"Harry, don't tell them Draco and I were back together, I'll tell them," Charlotte whispered as they got off the train.

"Fine, but at least let me be in the room," Harry said, smirking.

"Why?"

"Because I want to see Dad's reaction. He was so happy when he heard. Now let's break his heart." Harry said, as he picked up his suitcase and walked over to their parents. Charlotte glared at the back of his head as she followed him.

"Charlotte! Harry!" James shouted. Charlotte hugged her dad, as Harry hugged his mum before switching.

"How was your year? Are you guys enjoying it?" Lily asked as James grabbed their luggage, and they started walking out of platform 9 3/4.

"It was good, we won our first quidditch match."

"Thanks to me," Charlotte said, Harry scoffed, as they made their way out of King's crossing.

"Don't even. I was the one who caught the snitch."

"I was the one forced into the team, so I can say it was thanks to me," Charlotte commented, as her dad load the car with their luggage.

"Fine. Have you guys heard some interesting news?" Harry asked, smirking.

"You know, I think I like you better in the books. When you were fictional!"

"I was never fictional!"

"What news? What happened?" Lily asked, concerned, as James started the car.

"We couldn't have waited until home? We haven't even left King's crossing. I told you I will tell them." Charlotte whispered,

"Yeah, that was before I changed my mind."

"I hate you."

"That's okay. I feel very loved right now." Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"What are you two whispering about?" James asked.

"What is the news?" Lily asked again.

"Fine, well remember how I owled you saying Draco, and I have broken up well, we've gotten back together."

"What!"

"Really!"

"Harry has a crush on Ginny!"

"Hey! That's private!"

"So is my dating life!"

"Wait! Wait! Draco Malfoy!" James asked,

"What other Draco have I dated is there?" Charlotte laughed.

"Wait, I'm getting flashbacks to the first time this happened, and I feel like this time was worse."

"He was under my bed last time. If anything, this is better."

"Yeah, but back then, I could kill him. This time he's hiding in Hogwarts," James said,

"Wait, Harry, do you really have a crush on Ginny? That's so cute! She's had a crush on you for ages," Lily said. Harry took off his glasses, rubbing his eyes.

"Mum, can we please not talk about this right now?" Charlotte giggled to herself as she looked out her window.

---

They arrived home a little while later, finding Sirius Remus and Peter covered in dough, along with the walls, floor, and kitchen curtains.

"We can explain," Peter said, as Lily's jaw dropped, as the others started laughing.

"You-you- "Lily stuttered.

"It was Sirius's fault!" Peter shouted, pointing at Sirius.

"My fault!" Sirius shouted, trying to look mad but looking ridiculous with his hair and face covered in dough.

"You were the one who put baking powder instead of flour!" Peter yelled,

"It's not my fault! Remus handed it to me!"

"I said let's just buy a cake! That was my idea, but apparently no we can make it ourselves, without magic!" Remus shouted as he glared at his friends, trying to pull the dough off his fingers, but it was so thick it was hard.

"You three are 35 and 36! You've never done anything without magic!" Lily shouted.

"I thought it was a good idea!" Sirius shouted,

"So, what was the idea here?" Charlotte asked.

"We were going to surprise you guys with a cake. That's what Mrs. Potter used to do for us," Sirius explained,

"I'm still going to kill you," Lily said as she took out her wand.

"We're wizards! Did you forge were wizards!" Sirius asked as Lily walked up to them with a murderous look. Remus shoved Sirius forward.

"His fault!"

"You trader!"

"Here!" Peter shouted, as he flicked his wand and all the flour was gone, including the ones on them.

"You're so lucky you're not muggles. This would have taken hours! Petunia did it once, and we spent all night cleaning it so our Mum wouldn't find out." Lily signed as Charlotte and Harry took their suitcases up to their rooms.

---

They sat for dinner later that day, after Lily had scowled at them for almost the whole day.

"I'll buy you a cake tomorrow," Sirius told Harry and Charlotte.

"It's okay, Sirius. We don't need a cake. Just the thought was nice."

"I want chocolate." Charlotte and Harry said at the same time, making James choke on his drink as he laughed.

"Dad, you know what I told you and Mr. Weasley at the station when we were setting off for school?" Harry asked.

"We checked Harry. Arthur and I went and searched the Malfoys' house. There was nothing, either broken or whole, that shouldn't have been there." James looked nervously at Charlotte, who rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, I know, I saw in the Prophet that you'd looked... but this is something different. Well, something more..." Harry said, before explaining to the whole table what he had overheard from Snape and Draco's conversation.

"Has it occurred to you, Harry, that Snape was simply pretending —?" Peter asked,

"It isn't our business to know. It's Dumbledore's business. Dumbledore trusts Severus, and that ought to be good enough for all of us." Remus said, cutting Peter off, who rolled his eyes.

"But just say — just say Dumbledore's wrong about Snape —"

"People have said it many times. It comes down to whether or not you trust Dumbledore's judgment. I do; therefore, I trust Severus." Remus said,

"But Dumbledore can make mistakes. He says it himself. And honestly, does anyone here like Snape?"

"No,"

"No,"

"No," Remus shook his head at his friends.

"I neither like nor dislike Severus. No, Harry, I am speaking the truth," he added, as Harry pulled a skeptical expression.

"We shall never be bosom friends, perhaps."

"Probably after all James and I did, it's just too much bitterness that we can never even be friends. And we wouldn't want him to be." Sirius explained.

"I do not forget that during the year I taught at Hogwarts, Severus made the Wolfsbane Potion for me every month, made it perfectly, so that I did not have to suffer as I usually do at the full moon," Remus said,

"But he 'accidentally' let it slip that you're a werewolf, so you had to leave!" said Harry angrily.

"The news would have leaked out, anyway. We both know he wanted my job, but he could have wreaked much worse damage on me by tampering with the potion. He kept me healthy. I must be grateful."

"Maybe he didn't dare mess with the potion with Dumbledore watching him!" Harry accused. The four friends started laughing, and Lily shook her head, smirking at Harry.

" You are determined to hate him, Harry," Peter commented.

"And do you blame him? With James as your father, and Sirius as your godfather, you inherited an old prejudice." Lily chuckled; Harry signed looking at his soup.
