Unlike the previous scenery, the place was now more ominous and was already emitting an eerie feeling than earlier.
The place seemed to be a laboratory of some sort. Flickering florescent light above a metal table with a white cloth was the only source of light in the place.
Stench of unknown smells was seeping all over the place. Cages was stuck up on a corner with goos and blood dripping from them each.
The sight made Dizian hurl.

The sound of a metallic door closing loudly was heard behind Dizian which made him to turn his head back. There he saw the person who caused all the chaos, carrying an unconscious little kid on its arm.
Suddenly, an holographic screen appeared,this time it was an info about Rinalyn as a kid.

Dizian was taken aback by the lot of information thrown at the screen.
'Wh—why did this appeared so suddenly?'
Before he could even process all of the information thrown at him, another screen appeared.

Background:
Eloise is an offspring of a fairy together with a human. But because of the forbidden love of her parents, both of them died soon after she were born and hid. Eloise survive thanks to the magic stored in her core. A man then took her in as an apprentice when she reached the age of ten. She became his lab rat, an experiment child. The man knew she was a peculiar mix of a human and a fairy.
Growing up, she followed the man's foot steps. Experimenting and gathering data like what the man previously do. Unknowingly she found a particular couple, the woman whom was pregnant with a peculiar child that caught her sight.
She kept them monitored until the child on the woman's womb was born.
With the sense of obsession, Eloise damaged the child's certificate of birth, adding two names that was not meant to be hers. Paranoid as she is, she continued to watch them thinking that the couple might run.
When the couples did, Eloise became crazy, she placed her thoughts in to collecting random things and experimenting on ghouls, fairy and beast she could find. Until she got bored and decided to flee, finding traces of the child with her name.

Dizian had almost became dizzy by the information the screen had revealed.
Though he couldn't help but pity Eloise, but also felt disgusted by her actions. Dizian pity on how the way she lived in a with a cruel man who just saw her as a specimen to be experimented on. Whilst he felt disgusted how she followed the man's footsteps, how she did what he did, but it was well expected to how she had live in such environment.
With all the information he had gathered, Dizian felt quite nauseous and light headed. He couldn't honestly think straight after all what he previously saw.
Crash. Clang!
Dizian's head turn to the sound. The stuck up metal cages fell into the ground clanging as they collapsed with one another. They became bended, the goos and blood splattered all over the small narrowed room.
"Urgh, shit." Eloise cursed as she glide her hoodie off, putting Rinalyn into the clothed metal table.
She then flicked the flickering florescent light until it became still.
Dizian just watch, waiting and curious on this woman's next move.
"Ah~ finally, I finally had you my child."
Somehow, her tone sent shivers down to his spine. How long does he need to bear with this uneasiness?
The woman hummed as she went to a tattered cabinet, seemingly finding something. There were also a lot of books, tattered and some with missing covers.
"Hmm~ finally... It's been so long, but now I can finally do this longed awaited experiment."
Dizian watched as the woman happily got a jar with a glowing marble— no, a core rather. She placed it beside Rinalyn who was still unconscious and took out a pair of gloves from a cabinet below.
Once she had put it on, Eloise then face Rinalyn, a sinister smile escaped from her lips.
Eloise began to open the jar as she placed her hand on top of Rinalyn's stomach.
Dizian's eyes grew as he saw how her hand slowly dug into the stomach of the child.
Rinalyn was unconscious, but she was squirming and seem to be in a lot of pain.
"Hmm...ah!" Eloise hand rose as a similar core like the one in the jar went out with her. "Oh! What a splendid core! I knew you're an interesting one. Look at the size of that, definitely different on the average size. What a gifted child my daughter is!"
She praised the unconscious groaning child as she calls her, her daughter. Dizian grit his teeth as he covered his mouth, feeling the same nauseating pain he felt previously.
He almost want to vomit everything out, completely.
'That core...'
Dizian read it somewhere, and confirmed it by what Agapius told him. It was a core specifically for storing Mana, and without this, it could be lethal to the owner. They will more likely die after 24 hours if the core got taken away.
Although, the book mentioned that it can be replaced by an empty core purchased from a certain shop. But it will take a while for the loosed Mana flowing through the person's body to be gathered onto the new core completely.
"Now..."
Eloise took the other core out with the same size as the one taken from Rinalyn's body.
She once again placed her hand on top of Rinalyn together with the glowing core.
Dizian eyes was fixated to the taken core from Rinalyn, somehow the light surrounding it was slowly subsiding until it completely disappeared.
Eloise had dug into the kid' stomach as it squirm once more, groaning in pain. While she smiled, enjoying the sensation inside of this peculiar child as she place a different core from her body.
Dizian's eyes grew widen when a thought came across him. He remembered.
There was one more core that was mentioned in the book dizian previously read. A core used to gather souls of ghouls, fairy and demons, but the rarity of that core was higher. It was hard to obtain for it was a sacred relic that can only be obtain deep down into a cave.
'No, it can't be...that core... Stop!'
He intended to push Eloise away but he only went through her body like a ghost.
The unconscious child suddenly screamed as she squirmed turning left and right.
All Dizian could do was watch in agony.
He then winced as to when he felt a compelling pressure, the florescent light started to flicker and the fallen cages started to rattle unknowingly.
All of a sudden Rinalyn's body jolt back up, her eyes then shot open. It startled both Dizian and Eloise.
"What is this feeble and frail creature? How did our core get in here?"
The voice was penetrating, it was rough and compelling that made dizian stiffen as he stare at Rinalyn horrified.
There was a dark glow seeping from her body as her eyes was now a pure plain white.
"A...are you the owner of the core? You're a demon?" Eloise asked, anxious and amused.
The demon glared at her with a contempt.
"Indeed, I am. Do you know any of this, foolish human?" The demon affirmed as it questioned Eloise.
"Yes, of course! I- the thing is, I put your core inside of her!" She answered enthusiastically.
"Why?" It retorted.
"It's because you needed a strong vessel, is it not?"
"..."
The demon didn't reply, instead it watched Eloise who had been smiling in amusement, yet had a trembling eyes as she stared at it.
"She's strong, look at the size of this core of hers! It's almost the same size as you! She was born to be your vessel!"
Eloise exclaimed as she held the plain core taken from the kid's body with a huge grin on her face.
'She's crazy.'
The demon continued to Stare at Eloise, Dizian did the same.
Thud.
In a blink of an eye, Eloise fell into the dirty marble floor, unconscious. The core had also fell out of her grasp rolling over to the foot of the metal table.
"I do need a vessel, but how dare you put us into this frail body of a dying child? Regardless, I still do pity her for suffering. I'll take it into consideration, but this body is too weak to became our vessel. She needed to be stronger. We can leave. However if we leave now, she will die."
It looked at the rolled core below. The demon shook it's head as it got out of the table and crouched down to get the core.
"Her Mana had already disappeared, this is nothing but an empty shell." It said to itself.
Dizian watched as the demon took the plain core examining it as it clutch it after.
"They are still asleep, my brothers are still asleep. If they were to wake up now, they will likely devour you and take your life. Hurry, we have to hurry."
Whoosh.
The surrounding shook as the demon disappeared along with Rinalyn's body.
Haaaa...
Dizian heaved a long sigh as he felt his body getting weaker and numb. He soon fell into the marble floor, body trembling as beads of sweat glide through his forehead.
He then laughed bitterly as soon as he realized that the core Eloise had put into Rinalyn was the cause of her current Ability.
