Circe's POV
"Alright Dragonite keep building up that hurricane!" Braeden yelled.
"Boowww!" Dragonite cried as the hurricane became bigger and bigger, and dragon pulses energy grew with it.
Hurricane eventually formed clouds of energy from the dragon pulses power above Dragonite's head.
"What's going on?!" Cora said.
"Agh!" Robert gasped. "It's just like when Platinum battled against the Island Kahuna!"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Remember when Kricketune absorbed the Z move and turned it into a new move? I think Braeden's doing that right now!" Robert said.
"But what move could he-" I started, then I realized the dragon type move that's more powerful than dragon pulse.
"Now draco meteor!" Braeden yelled.
"Boowwww!" Dragonite threw its arms down, and unleashed a shower of draconic meteors that exploded down onto Charizard.
"Agh! Charizard!" Platinum exclaimed.
"I-Incredible!" Lenny exclaimed. "Dragonite absorbed Charizard's dragon pulse, and taught itself draco meteor!"
The crowd was cheering loudly for what had just happened.
"You pulled it off perfectly Dragonite." Braeden smiled. "That should be a suitable replacement for dragon rush wouldn't you agree?"
"Bow!" Dragonite smiled at Braeden.
"Charizard are you okay?! Can you keep going?" Platinum asked.
"R-Rauwr!" Charizard weakly said as it stood back up.
"This isn't looking good..." Cora nervously said
"Let's go Charizard! Use flare blitz!" Platinum yelled as he threw his arms forward.
"Zaaauuwrrr!" Charizard roared as it became wrapped in fire and blitzed towards Dragonite.
"Dragon claw!" Braeden yelled as he punched the air.
"Bowrowr!" Dragonite wielded a glowing green claw and clashed with Charizard's flare blitz, making a big explosion that blew them both away.
"Dragonite's dragon claw and Charizard's flare blitz explode!" Lenny exclaimed.
"Charizard return!" Platinum said as he returned Charizard to its Poké Ball. "Don't push yourself Charizard, get some rest."
"You return too Dragonite." Braeden smiled as he returned Dragonite to its Poké Ball. "Way to show out! That was great!"
My heart raced as I took a deep breath.
"That was close... I thought that Charizard was unable to battle for a minute." I nervously said.
"Charizard was able to do some damage, but Platinum's going to have to find a way to beat that Dragonite eventually." Said Robert.
3rd Person POV
"Don't give up Platinum..." Katrina nervously said as she watched with her mother.
"Your friend is really strong." Savannah said. "He's putting up a great fight against Braeden even though he's so young."
"I just hope Platinum doesn't get overwhelmed..." Katrina spoke.
"What are you doing out there Platinum?!" Jerron said with frustration as he watched the battle with Moon.
"It's okay! The battles still starting out!" Moon smiled. "Platinum can still win!"
Apollo and Sebastian watched with lots of anxiety gif their friend.
"Oh man..." Said Sebastian. "It's not looking good."
"What do you mean?!" Apollo said. "He's got this! It's still tied up!"
And in the competitors spectator room, all of the other champions watched as well.
"Looks like Braeden overwhelmed Platinum." Said Lee.
"The way he taught Dragonite draco meteor..." Said Milli. "Braeden never ceases to amaze me."
"The battle is still tied 5 to 5 though. It's too early to call anything." Said Dylan.
"Platinum's doing really good though, considering who his opponent is. He even got the first knockout. I wouldn't count him out yet." Mr. Morgan said.
Platinum's POV
"Both competitors have returned their Pokémon to their Poké Balls. So who will they send out next?" Lenny said.
"Cinderace let's go!" My dad threw out his Poké Ball and his Cinderace appeared.
"Cinda!" It cried.
"Vee! Vee!" Eevee said to me.
"You want to go back out?" I asked.
"Vee!" Eevee nodded.
I smiled at Eevee's determination.
"Okay! Then you're up! Let's go!" I smiled as I pointed at the battlefield.
"Vee!" Eevee confidently smiled as he ran onto the battlefield to face Cinderace.
"Eevee is back for more battling action! This time it's facing off against Cinderace!" Said Lenny.
"This ones all yours Eevee!" I smiled.
"I like your spirit Platinum. I remember when I wondered what kind of trainer you'd grow into it. Now look, you're the trainer that's strong enough to face me in the finals of the Masters Tournament." My dad smiled at me.
My eyes lit up at his words.
"Thanks dad...!" I smiled. "But I'm still going to win this!"
"Then let's get it started! Cinderace pyro ball!"
"Derace!" Cinderace said as it kicked a massive fireball at Eevee.
"Vee!" Eevee cried as he swiftly dodged it.
"Blaze kick!" My dad commanded.
"Cinder!" Cinderace's legs became engulfed in flames and it kicked Eevee hard.
"Eevee battle back with iron tail!" I yelled.
"Vee!" Eevee cried as his tail glowed with steel power, and he slammed it down onto Cinderace
"Cinda!" Cinderace cried in pain as it hit the ground, but jumped back up.
"Eevee strikes fast and hard with iron tail!" Said Lenny.
"Eevee's amazing. It's even faster than Cinderace." My dad marveled. "Cinderace pyro ball now!"
"Cinda!" Cinderace said as it kicked pyro ball at Eevee.
"Eevee use quick attack to dodge it!" I yelled.
"Vee! Vee!" Eevee cried as he took off at blinding speeds and dodged the pyro ball.
"Use blaze kick!" My dad yelled.
"Cinder!" Cinderace's legs became wrapped in fire as it kicked down towards Eevee.
"Eevee dig!" I commanded.
"Vee!" Eevee cried as he dug his way underground, dodging Cinderace.
"Do it now!" I yelled.
"Vee!" Eevee said as he jumped out of the ground and got ready to attack.
"Quick Cinderace pyro ball!" My dad yelled.
"Derace!" Cinderace cried as it kicked pyro ball and it blasted Eevee back.
"Damn...!" I cursed.
"Sorry Platinum! But that won't work on us again! Cinderace pyro ball now!" My dad yelled.
"Cinda!" Cinderace said as it kicked pyro ball at Eevee.
"Use last resort!" I yelled.
"Eeeeeveeeee!" Eevee cried out as he launched a massive star of energy at Cinderace.
It smashed right through the pyro ball and exploded into Cinderace.
"Agh!" My dad exclaimed as Cinderace flew out of the explosion, fell to the ground, and fainted.
"Cinderace is unable to battle! Eevee wins!" The referee yelled and the stadium went wild with cheers and applause.
"It's another win for Competitor Platinum! Eevee takes down Cinderace putting him back in the lead!" Lenny exclaimed over the cheers.
"Yes Eevee! Way to go!" I exclaimed.
"Vee!" Eevee cried triumphantly.
My dad laughed and rubbed the back of his head as he returned Cinderace to its Poké Ball.
"Guess I got too cocky, sorry Cinderace." My dad smiled.
"Eevee come here." I said to Eevee.
"Eevee!" Eevee said as he ran to my side.
"Get some rest! We're going to keep on battling." I said as I got my next Poké Ball out, and threw it into the air. "Donphan let's go!"
"Dophao!" Donphan cried.
"Excadrill let's go!" My dad threw out his Poké Ball and his Excadrill appeared.
"Exca!" Excadrill said.
"The next bout is battle of ground types! Donphan vs Excadrill!" Said Lenny.
Excadrill is a Pokémon with tons of power, but Donphan's got great defense. We can win this matchup!
"Donphan use rollout!" I yelled as I pointed at the battlefield.
"Dophao!" Donphan said as it spun into rollout.
"Excadrill metal claw!" My dad yelled.
"Exca!" Excadrill said as its claws glowed with steel power, and powerfully slashed Donphan, sending him rolling back.
"Tch!" I grunted. "I knew it'd be strong! Donphan hyper beam!"
"Dophao!" Donphan cried as it fired a massive energy beam at Excadrill.
"Counter with focus blast!" My dad yelled.
"Cadrill!" Excadrill said as it launched a blast of fighting type energy at Donphan's hyper beam, making an explosion as the attacks collided.
"Alright Excadrill use drill run!" My dad yelled.
"Exca!" Excadrill said as it clamped its arms together and spun like a drill towards Donphan.
"Donphan double edge go!" I yelled.
"Dophao!" Donphan cried as it blasted off, energy trailing behind it and smashed into Excadrill, overpowering its drill run, and sending Excadrill flying.
"Awesome! Now use earth power!" I yelled.
"Dophao!" Donphan said as it sent energy ripples shooting through the ground towards Excadrill.
"Focus blast once more!" My dad yelled.
"Exca!" Excadrill said as it fired focus blast at the earth power, making another explosion.
Alright, I know Donphan's more powerful than Excadrill for sure now! Let's take it down!"
"Donphan double edge!" I yelled.
"Dophao!" Donphan cried as it charged at Excadrill, energy trailing behind it.
"Horn drill!" My dad yelled.
"Exca!" Excadrill said as its horn glowed with power and spun like a drill as Excadrill jumped up and slashed its drill into Donphan.
"Dophao!" Donphan cried in pain.
"Donphan!" I exclaimed as Donphan smashed into the battlefield and fainted.
"Donphan is unable to battle! Excadrill wins!" The referee yelled as the stadium cheered loudly.
"It's a one hit ko! Excadrill takes Donphan right out of the battle!" Lenny said.
"Nice Excadrill! Good timing." My dad said.
"Cadrill!" Excadrill cried.
"You did really well Donphan! Thank you!" I smiled as I returned Donphan to its Poké Ball.
Circe's POV
"H-How did Excadrill take Donphan out that fast...? Is it really that strong?" I asked.
"Horn drill always knocks out its opponent if it hits. I think Braeden was just waiting for the opening." Said Robert.
"That's a scary move..." Said Cora.
"Alright Dracovish let's go!" Platinum threw out his Poké Ball and his Dracovish appeared.
"Draco!" It cried.
"Competitor Platinum has sent out Dracovish!" Said Lenny.
"That's a good choice since water type moves are strong against ground types." Cora smiled.
"You'll be great Dracovish!" I cheered.
"Excadrill focus blast!" Braeden yelled.
"Exca!" Excadrill said as it launched focus blast at Dracovish.
"Fishious rend!" Platinum yelled.
"Draco!" Dracovish opened its mouth wide, and its jaw began to glow as it chomped down hard, destroying the focus blast.
"Excadrill let's take it down from the start! Use horn drill!" My dad yelled.
"Excaaaa!" Excadrill jumped up, and began using horn drill.
"Rush right in Dracovish!" Platinum yelled.
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"What's he thinking?!" Robert said. "If horn drill hits Dracovish will be knocked out immediately!"
"Dracovish is fearlessly charging towards Excadrill!" Lenny said.
"Now use dragon rush!" Platinum commanded.
"Dracoooo!" Dracovish's body erupted with a blue dragon glow and it smashed into Excadrill's horn drill, making a big explosion that knocked the two back.
"Amazing! Dracovish withstood Excadrill's horn drill!" Lenny exclaimed as the crowd cheered.
"Heh...!" Braeden excitedly smiled. "Now that was cool!"
"How'd it do that?!" Cora exclaimed.
"I get it! Platinum had Dracovish run at Excadrill to build up speed and momentum!" Robert said with shock. "And that powered up its dragon rush!"
I began blushing. Platinum is still... so... amazing...!
"Good job Dracovish!" Platinum smiled.
"Draco!" Dracovish cried.
"That was good Platinum! But we aren't finished! Excadrill drill run!" Braeden yelled.
"Exca!" Excadrill said as it clamped its arms together and spun like a drill towards Dracovish.
"Dracovish water gun!" Platinum yelled.
"Dracooo!" Dracovish cried as it fired a forceful shot of water that blasted Excadrill back.
"Exca!" Excadrill cried in pain as the super effective water type move sent shooting into the stadium wall.
"Dammit!" Braeden cursed as Excadrill fainted.
"Excadrill is unable to battle! Dracovish wins!" The referee yelled and the stadium went wild.
"Yeah!" Platinum celebrated. "Awesome Dracovish!"
"Draco!" Dracovish triumphantly cried out.
"Competitor Platinum is back on top!" Lenny said. "Now Competitor Braeden has 3 Pokémon left while Competitor Platinum still has 4!"
"Way to go Dracovish!" I cheered.
"That was an impressive win Platinum! You can do this!" Robert cheered.
"Good work Excadrill." Braeden smiled as he returned Excadrill to its Poké Ball. "Thanks for battling so hard."
"Dracovish you want to keep going?" Platinum asked.
"Draco!" Dracovish nodded.
"Good!" Braeden smiled. "Then let's have a dragon battle! Dragonite let's go!"
Braeden threw out his Poké Ball and his Dragonite appeared.
"Bow!" It cried.
"Dragonite is back for more battling!" Said Lenny.
"This'll be tough! Bring the heat Dracovish!" Platinum said.
"Draco!" Dracovish nodded.
