"Make way for our leader, the Red Ruler: Prefect Rosehearts!" A Heartslabyul student announced
"Three cheers for Prefect Rosehearts!" All of the Heartslabyul students shouted
"Indeed. The roses are red and the tablecloths are white." Riddle examined. "Truly a perfect Unbirthday Party. And the Dormouse is inside the teapot like planned..." He stopped taking. "Well, I guess it doesn't really matter now."
Trey smiled. "You don't have to change so suddenly, you know? And we can just use the jam on the on scones, if you'd like." He suggested. "We don't have to stop altogether at once. We can take things slowly."
"Yes, you're right." Riddle smiled
"I want to try jam on scones!" I told them
"We'll have some today." Riddle replied, ruffling my hair
"In the end, we did all the cleaning up and preparations for today's party..." Ace mumbled
"There, there." Deuce patted Ace's back. "It couldn't be helped since the Prefect had to recover."
"The garden's back to being its photogenic self, so I'm already satisfied~!" Cater cheered
"I wanna hurry up and eat!" Grim exclaimed
"Grim's right!" I agreed
"Okay then, without a further ado-" Cater smiled
"Wait a second!" Riddle yelled all of sudden, scaring everyone
Riddle pointed at a rose tree with a white rose. "That white rose..."
"Eh! Did we forget one!?" Ace panicked
Cater's eyes widened. "Aaahhhh!! Acey, Deucey, you said you painted them all red!" He threw them under the bus
"Shame on you two." I crossed my arms
"You're blaming us!?" Deuce joined the panicking
"Ri-Riddle, this is..." Trey stuttered
"Ah! Please let this pass!" Yuu pleaded
"I'm joking. I won't get mad over every little thing again..." Riddle laughed
"R-really!? Three cheers for Riddle!" Cater clapped
"It will be quicker if we all painted it, after all." Riddle added
"I'll use a paint brush this time, I feel artistic today." I nodded
"Are you sure you've changed?" Ace doubted
"Now, now. Even so, it's really..." Trey stopped for a moment. "Yup, you've changed, huh, Riddle."
"I can't beat one second of this any longer! Let's hurry up and start the party!" Grim shouted
Everyone worked together to paint the roses. It was a smooth process since no one was getting collared.
"I'm good at this!" I boasted, looking at the roses I had painted
"What about the white spots you left, Azubah?" Trey asked
"It's flower fashion!" I replied
"Okay." Trey just laughed
"It is! You just don't understand." I yelled
"So what happened to the tart, Housewarden?" Ace asked with a smirk
"I made it for you, as I promised I would. Here: One strawberry tart crafted by yours truly." Riddle took out the tart
"Nice! The shape's a little off, but I can I tell you put a lot of work into the glaze. A fine job indeed, especially considering it was first!" Trey patted Riddle's back
"Oh, please! How about we actually TRY it before you start fawning all over him, Trey?" Ace put his hands on his hips
Cater came over and took out his phone before Riddle cut into it. "Hold it! Don't you start cutting that before I get my Magicam snap..." his phone flashed
"OK, got it!" He smiled
Riddle cut the tart and everyone got a slice.
"Alright, time to dig in!" Ace exclaimed
"!!"
"This is-!"
"IT'S SALTY??"
"This tastes funny." I chewed slowly
"What the heck...!? It's so salty! What'd you put in these?!" Ace asked
"I bought all the ingredients and followed the recipe book to the last letter!" Riddle wondered. "There's no way I'd could've- AH! Don't me...maybe it was the oyster sauce I put in?"
I started coughing. "This is OYSTER SAUCE!! Trey this is on your criminal record now, how do you feel!"
Deuce coughed. "Could it be the secret ingredient that Trey told us about before?"
"I mean, Trey told me before that even though it's not in the recipe, a delicious tart always has oyster sauce as a secret ingredient." Riddle said
"Ugh...As if...!" Ace crossed his arms. "You should've figured out he was lying if you really think about it for a bit!" He narrowed his gaze at Riddle
"You fell for it, too." I said, but Ace just shushed me
"Still, it's too salty even for a recipe that uses a secret ingredient." Cater uttered. "Just how much did you put in?"
"I wouldn't know since it wasn't in the recipe. I figured I should in put a lot considering I was making many batches..." Riddle explained
"I didn't think that you would take that joke seriously!" Trey started laughing
Riddle scratched his cheek. "Ahaha, you're right. It was really foolish of me."
"Haha, it's so bad it's making us laugh now, huh." Deuce said
"Guess we have no choice but to laugh at it, y'know? Hahaha." Ace laughed
"Haha" Yuu let out a small laugh
"I need water..." Yuu handed me a cup
"But, yanno, it's kinda delicious in it's own right, too." Grim commented
"Oh, I can kinda understand~! It's not completely inedible~!" Cater agreed
Everyone at the table looked at Cater.
"Cater, don't tell me you share the same palette as Grim!" Deuce asked
"No, not at all-" Cater denied
"You think the tart's good because it's not sweet, right?" Trey raised his eyebrow
Cater looked at Trey. "Eh?"
"You hate sweet things, after all." Trey ended
Cater's eyes widened. "Eh, eh...? Trey, how did you know that...? I've never told anyone that I didn't like sweet things though..." He panicked
"You always ask me to change the cake's taste with my magic, right? It doesn't show on your face at all, but I figured that you didn't like sweet things too much." Trey explained
"So you figured me out...I'm so embarrassed...! You know, this might work for Riddle, but I don't think that that saying what you think of all the time is good at all~!" Cater dramatically said
"I'll make you some quiche for the next Unbirthday Party, don't worry." Trey reassured
Cater smiled. "Well, thank you. Make them look 'grammable' like a cake, got it?"
{Third Person}
"Fufufu, all of Trey's sweets are so delicious no matter how much I eat." A voice spoke up
"Hello stranger." Azubah waved
A purple cat person faded into view and ate the sweets on the table. He waved back to Azubah.
Riddle looked surprised. "Che'nya! What- what are you doing here?"
"Hm? I came to celebrate your Unbirthday Party! Congrats Riddle!" He said
"The Unbirthday Party is a tradition exclusive to the Heartslabyul dorm. It doesn't concern you, does it?" Riddle stated
"The same goes for those guys, y'know~?" Che'nya looked at the Ramshackle students
"We're guests!" I explained
"Ah, it's you! The nya-nya guy from last time? Speaking of which, what dorm are you from?" Grim asked
"Che'nya isn't from this school at all." Trey explained. "He's a student of Royal Sword Academy, Night Raven College's old lifelong rival."
"Eh?! He's a student from another school!?" Deuce said
"And from Royal Sword Academy to boot!?" Ace yelled, letting everyone hear
"There's other magical schools?" Yuu asked
"Did he just say Royal Sword Academy?"
"Some of those guys are here!?"
"What'd you say!? Where is he!? I'll chase him out!"
"Whoopsies~! I already had my tart, so I'm outta here!" Che'nya bid goodbye
"Goodbye Che'nya." Azubah sipped more tea
"He got away!"
"After him!"
"Everyone just kinda uh...up and left..." Grim mumbled
"Night Raven College students basically treat Royal Sword Academy students like enemies." Riddle replied
"It's a rivalry that's been going on for 100 years, after all..." Trey added
"Rivalry that's cool! I want a rival, too!" Azubah excitedly said
"Well, well~! Let's not talk about something gloomy on such a happy day! Let's enjoy our own Unbirthday Party!" Cater cheered
"Nyahahah! I'll eat my fill until I drop! Hooray for Unbirthday parties!" Grim exclaimed
♡Azubah Pov♡
Should I tell them or should I not? Decisions, Decisions... I'll ask Yuu.
"Yuu! I can ask you a question?" I pulled on his jacket
"Hm, sure." He agreed
"The questioning will be done over there." I pointed at the garden entrance
I stealthy made my way to the entrance while Yuu was lame and just walked over.
"What's your question?"
"Should I tell the Heartslabyul third years that I'm a demon?" I asked, while poking the plant wall
"It's up to you, y'know." Yuu patted my head
"You're no help." I pouted
"Fine, let's flip a coin to decide." He got a coin from his pocket
"Heads is no and tails is yes." I told him
Yuu flipped the coin and the both of us watched it spin in the air. Til Yuu caught the coin, hiding the answer under his hand.
"What is it?" I asked
"What do you think it is?" Yuu asked back
"I don't know, that's the coin's job to tell me." I pointed at his hands
Yuu just sighed and revealed his hands.
"It's tails, that means yes." I looked at the coin
{Third Person}
"Well let's go speak the truth, Yuu." Azubah walked back to the table
"What did you two talk about?" Grim asked
"I was asking Yuu if I should tell everyone that I'm a demon." Azubah casually said
"Huh?!" The third-years looked shocked
While the first-years and Grim faceplamed.
"A demon?" Trey questioned
"Yeah! I'm the spirt of fear." Azubah stated
"Is that why it's possible for you to have magic while Yuu doesn't." Riddle pondered
"In our world magic isn't common among humans. But some humans have the ability to use magic." Azubah explained
"If you're a demon does that mean Angels exist?" Cater asked
"There's witches, angels, Reapers, vampires, and ghosts too!" Azubah listed
"I guess that's why you guys shut Grim up in the kitchen." Trey sweatdropped
"He almost blabbed the secret." Ace looked at Grim
"I didn't know it was a secret!" Grim argued
