I was '10' years old and getting dressed and stretched my wings. "Krystin come downstairs please! We need to get ready to go!" My adoption human mom said. I sighed and tucked my wings up to my body and tightly strapped them to my body. I put a bag over the wings since I was in the molting season. I finally put my shirt on and headed downstairs.
"Took you long enough, eat something. We need to go to the doctors,no need to be polite to them." I looked at my 'mother'. "Why?" I tilted my head to the side. "Well honey, the owner is Falk. Meaning, a disgrace to our kind!" I put my head down. "Oh... why don't we show them kindness? Aren't they human too?"
"Falk, haha you serious! They did nothing but ruin us! They drove us near extinction until our great leader came around and a Great War happened. Most of the Falk were destroyed. Be happy the king tore their wings off and killed them!" I gulped. "Sorry mom." She smiled at me. "Hey, it's ok. Anyway you ready to head out?" I nod and we leave the house.
The family isn't very wealthy, at least we have a house. Me and 'mother' walked towards the doctors and 'mother' opened the door for me. Once inside we went to the reception desk. "I'd like to check in my daughter for her appointment today. Her name is Krystin." The lady at the desk smiled at me and typed something on the computer.
"Ok miss, she is all checked in. Please take a seat." 'Mom' nodded and we both went and sat down. After a few minutes of waiting, the office door opened and a Falk nurse came out. "Krystin." I stood and so did my 'mom'. "Sorry miss, only the client can come back here." That made my mother figure mad. "Why would I let her go in by herself?! What if you guys do something I don't like!"
I stood and walked up to the lady. My mother figure grabbed my arm and tried to drag me away. "Stop it! Let me go..." the nurse person watching stepped between me and my mother figure. "Stop pulling at her arm. She will be fine. Stay in the waiting room, please." My 'mom' let out a growl and sat down. I followed the nurse inside the office and to one of the checkup rooms. "Your mom is super nice." I rolled my eyes. "She isn't my mom. She took me in." The nurse looked at me.
"What happened to your real mom, if you don't mind me asking?" "Herobrine killed her. She was a winged Falk. She faught hard. I miss her." The nurse looked at me with pity. "Oh, sorry, so you are a falk?" I nodded. The woman smiled. "You don't mind getting a Falk mom right?" I shook my head no. "After the checkup we can go meet some falk that are looking for a young falk to care for." I smiled. "Ok!"
"I'll get the doctor. Be right back hun." When she shut the door I looked around the small room. It was quite pretty. I felt a dull ache from how tight I had my wings up. I groaned a little and waited.
