"I'm giving up" I let myself fall onto my bed.

The only thing in my sight now was the white ceiling. My thoughts slowly went back to a few days ago. To be exact, they went back to Minho. To his face, his lips and the way he had kissed me-
„Minseo!" My friend's voice interrupted my thoughts. "Are you even listening to me?"

I looked over at my phone, where Ha-Eun's voice was coming from. "Sorry, what did you say?"
"I told you to stop worrying too much. It's just a date."

"Just a date? Are you listening to yourself?"

"You were the one who asked him out, plus you two already met countless times and let's not forget that you've already slept at his place as well, so there's no reason to be nervous now. Besides, just wear something you feel comfortable in. Don't think too much about it, I'm sure he cares more about you than your outfit."

I let out a deep breath. "Yeah, you're right." I had no idea what I would do without her.

"I know," Only by hearing her voice I could tell that there was a proud grin on her face. "So now get up, choose an outfit for tomorrow and then send me a picture. My dad just called me, so I gotta go. Good luck!"A second later Ha-Eun ended the call.

So there I was, alone again. I gave myself a push and sat up, looking at what once was the floor of my room. Clothes were spread everywhere and the doors to my closet were wide open. Great. I had spent the last two hours trying to find an outfit I could wear tomorrow. The only thing I ended up with was the mess in front of me.

"Okay, let's start organising this a bit." I couldn't hold back a chuckle as I said these words to myself. Organising had never been a strength of mine and I was quite sure that it hadn't changed lately.

>time skip<
My plan to not tell my mum about the date with Minho went pretty well for a few hours. Right now we were sitting in the living room. She, sitting on the couch and I sitting on the armchair on the opposite side. Her eyes were glued to my face.

"Why are you wearing makeup and," her eyes wandered to my clothes, "why are you wearing that?" There was pure curiosity in her voice as if she really wanted to know what I was up to.

I took a moment to consider whether I should tell her the truth or not. "Well...I'm going on a date with Minho." I blurted out, eventually.

Her eyes widened at my statement. I decided that I didn't want to lie to her anymore and if it was a problem for her, well it was my life anyway. To my surprise, the only thing she said was "Where are you going.?"

The doorbell rang before I could even open my mouth. I gave her an apologetic look. "I'll tell you when I'm back home." My mother stood up as well. She followed me to the door, where she gave me a quick hug.

"Have fun." I couldn't do anything against the warm feeling that was spreading inside of me.

With a smile on my face, I went downstairs. As I opened the door, my eyes instantly found Minho's. He looked handsome. I mean he always did, but it kinda of caught me off guard today. He was wearing blue almost baggy jeans and a grey hoodie. I had no idea how he could make the most basic outfit look so good. Even the nervous feeling that had been lingering inside of me for the last two days disappeared. I guess Ha-Eun was right. It was Minho after all. There was no reason to be nervous.

"Hey," He wrapped his arms around me as a greeting. I couldn't help but melt into his embrace.

"Hi," we stayed like that for a few more seconds.

"So," Minho cleared his throat. He brought a bit of space between us,  not letting go of me entirely though. His arms were still wrapped around my waist loosely. "Where are we going this late?"

"Hmm," I debated for a second if I should tell him or not. "It's a surprise."

Yesterday, we only talked for about five minutes on the phone, arranging a time to meet. I had left him in the dark as to where we were going. "But we should probably hurry up." I looked at the sky, where the sun had already begun to set.

With the bus, it took us less than twenty minutes to reach our destination. "We're going to the beach?" Minho looked at the monitor on the bus, where the next stop was just announced. I gave him a big smile.

"You'll find out soon enough."

We left the bus and the warm evening breeze instantly blew into our faces. "So we're actually going to the beach." This time it wasn't even a question anymore, but more so an observation, with a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Yes, we are. Do you like it? I thought we could maybe watch the sunset together. I know it's nothing spe- "

"I love it." Minho cut me off and as if it was totally natural he took my hand in his and squeezed it reassuringly. Together we strolled towards the beach, passing by crowds of other people. It felt like ages since I had last been here. Probably because it had actually been that long.

The sight of the ocean caught me off guard. In the distance, the sun disappeared beneath the horizon, painting the sea with an array of breathtaking, vibrant colours, creating an incredible view.

I looked at Minho to see his reaction and did not regret it when a huge smile appeared on his face. It was the kind of smile that made the butterflies in my stomach go crazy.

"How about we look for a place to sit down," I suggested, trying to cover up, how flustered I actually was.

We found the perfect spot in about five minutes. It was a bit further away from the entrance and the big crowd of people that had gathered there. Now it was just the two of us, sitting in the sand and for the first time today we just talked. We talked about everything and nothing, enjoying this moment together.

By now, the sun had completely vanished, leaving the moon as the only source of light. The night sky was so clear that even the stars were visible.
"Wow, the moon looks so beautiful tonight," I said and turned to Minho, just to find out that he was already looking at me.

"That's true, it does, but you know what?" He leaned closer to me and gently brushed a strand of my hair behind my ear. "You are even more beautiful." I felt my cheeks heat up. Just as I tried to hide it from him, I realised how close we actually were to each other. I noticed how Minho's eyes shifted from my eyes to my lips and then back, holding my gaze.

Suddenly, it felt like the world had stopped around us. The second our lips met, every passing person, voice and other noise slipped into the background. I could only see, no, feel him. Feel his lips on mine and his hands cupping my face. The kiss wasn't hesitant, but rather soft and gentle, just the way Minho was.

A while later, I glanced at my phone for the first time, only to realise that yet another hour had passed. The time on my display read 11 pm. I couldn't help but sigh at the thought of leaving. The best moments always seemed to rush by so quickly and it was for sure that I didn't want to let go of this one just now.

"Do you have to go home now?" Minho asked, seemingly having followed my gaze.

"Can you read minds?" He laughed at my question.

"I mean..." his voice trailed off. I looked to the side where he was now sitting again.

"What?"

"If you want, you can come to my place... I bet the cats already miss you." He quickly added the second sentence with a playful smile.

I chuckled. "Yeah, they totally love me." A more sincere and warm smile crept onto Minho's lips. He turned his head towards me, his eyes softening.

"They do love you."
