Jace's POV
When the day of the trial came, I felt sick to my stomach. Evelyne cupped my face.
"It's gonna be okay."
I ran to the bathroom and threw up.
"I-I can't do this!"
"Yes you can."
In the courtroom, my right leg was bouncing. Evelyne put her hand on my knee.
"Relax."
When I had to testify, I was scared to look at Mary. She stood up.
"KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT OR, I'LL FUCKIN KILL THAT BABY!"
I gulped. Mary ran over to Evelyne. She pulled something out. Whatever was in her hand, went into Evelyne's chest.
"NO!"
I got up and ran over to her.
"GET AWAY FROM HER!"
Evelyne fell to the floor. I knelt down next to her. Evelyne grabbed my hand.
"I-I-I'm sorry!"
She started crying.
She did it!
She fuckin did it!
"Baby look at me."
"I-it hurts!"
"I-I know. I know. I NEED HELP!"
I felt someone trying to pull me away.
"GET OFF ME! I'M NOT LEAVING!"
"J-Jace? I-I love you."
"I love you too! Stay with me! Keep looking at me!"
When an ambulance came, I jumped into the back of it.
"I'm not leaving you."
"How many weeks are you pregnant?"
"36 I-I think."
Her eyes shut.
Evelyne's POV
I woke up in a hospital room. I looked around. I saw Moxley and Jace. They were both sleeping on the couch.
"D-Dom?"
He jumped up. He ran over to me.
"Thank god! I-I was so worried!"
He kissed my forehead.
"Just so you know, they're gonna have to break your water."
"Huh?! What?!"
"Because of all the meds you're gonna be on, they want to make sure, she won't get hurt."
"I-I'm not ready for that!"
"Shhh. It's okay. Your mom's at work. I'll call her in a few."
"S-so I'm not on any painkillers?"
"You are. Just small doses."
"I-it's too early!"
"I know. I know."
"S-she has to stay in!"
I saw the back of Jace's head get slapped.
"Stop freaking her out moron!"
"I'm not trying to!"
"Well, you are!"
I slapped the both of them.
"Shut up. I just woke up."
A nurse came in and did what she needed to do. A while after that, I started feeling pain.
"Dom? G-go get someone. Moxie? Call mom."
They did was I asked. My mom made it just in time. Moxley ran to get her. Right after she ran in, I heard crying. I saw Jace cutting the cord. She was cleaned up then placed in his arms. His face lit up. He walked over to me. He handed her to me.
"Hi!"
