"Take him out of here." I ordered.
"No! I want to speak to her!" Junior yelled.
I glared at Rob. He bowed and dragged him out. I faced the woman behind me.
My steps were quick and measured. I quickly grabbed her chin and brought her face up.
"What? Forgotten all about your family? Really?" I murmured.
She blinked.
"Seriously, Eva, you can't be kidding me! I have waited for you so long, Junior has been having nightmares every night since that day..."
"Who is Eva?" Her voice was deep and silky just like it had been. Yet there was a stinging absence. Absence of warmth, love and recognition.
Did she really forget me?
"Amazing, Evelyn Williams. I can't believe you forgot the identity that you were most proud of."
"I think you've got the wrong person."
"Are you teaching me how to recognise my own wife?"
"I don't even know you!" She argued back.
"Eva, why are you playing dumb? Are you loving how desperate I am? Since when are you so cold blooded?" Something moist trailed down my cheeks.
Tears.
"I really don't know you. And I am not Evelyn Williams or something. My name's Scorpion." She spoke with the same indifference.
But something clicked.
Maybe she forgot everything after all. Even her name. Even me. Even her own son.
It made sense.
I didn't know what she went through after that incident. The only thing I knew was that she was lost and I had no connection which could take me to her. I had tried all these years to find out what had happened to her and to bring her back and give her a life of luxury that she deserved yet, there was no corner of the world that could bring my wife back to me.
"Bring her with us to the residence." I ordered.
"You are kidding me?" She grumbled.
"You all heard me." I glared at my men.
They stepped towards her. I turned back and started walking back to my car.
"You'll regret this." She threatened.
I kept my pace.
Bam! Crash! Boom!
I whirled around to see what happened.
And I froze at the sight.
