It's now about an hour later, and since Kara hugged Morgan for the first time, she decided to use her superspeed to finish off all her work, just so she can spend the rest of the day with Morgan, bonding with the 4-year-old more, and giving the young alien the affection she clearly needs, due to the traumatic situation she has come from.
Presently, Kara and Morgan are walking into Lena's office, with a bag of Big Belly Burgers. Kara has decided that surprising Lena with lunch would be a nice thing to do today, as not only would it allow Morgan to get out of the penthouse, but it would allow Lena to bond more with the young alien girl, and therefore allow Morgan to feel even more comfortable in their home. Already, Kara knows that Morgan has formed a strong bond with Alura, although admittedly that might just be because Alura has forced herself on Morgan, and essentially insisted that Morgan is her new best friend. But Morgan has also bonded with Kara, over everything that happened when she accidentally hurt her, so that has really left Lena as the one she hasn't bonded with, or spent much time with at all.
"Hey, Lee." Kara smiles, as she and Morgan walk into the CEO's office, holding hands.
"Oh, hello guys." Lena smiles, standing up from her chair, "This is a really nice surprise."
"Yeah. I thought it would be." Kara smiles back, "I got us all Big Belly Burgers to have, and thought we could have like a 20-minute lunch together. I know you are finishing work early today, so I thought we'd have a quick lunch, rather than our longer one."
"Sure. That sounds lovely." Lena smiles, walking over to Kara and Morgan, "In fact, at the moment I'm just waiting on some data to process, and to get a few responses to emails I have sent, so I have some free time."
"Great!" Kara smiles, "I'll set us up here, on your couch."
Lena nods her head at Kara, and then approaches Morgan.
"How has your day been so far, Morgan?" Lena asks, with a soft smile.
"Good. I watched a movie while Kara worked. Then Kara and I talked, and did some coloring." Morgan replies.
"Oh, well that sounds very nice." Lena smiles.
"Yeah." Morgan nods.
Kara, Lena and Morgan then all move over to Lena's couch area, where the two adults decide to sit on either end of the couch, allowing Morgan to decide where she wants to sit, whether that be the floor, on one of the other solo chairs, or in between them on the couch. Slightly to Lena and Kara's surprise, Morgan chooses the latter option, and sits between the two of them, swinging her legs slightly, which don't reach the ground.
"Alright. Here is your burger, Lena." Kara says, as she hands Lena her usual burger order, "And here is yours Morgan, and these 2 are mine. I then got us a bunch of fries in the bag there that we can share."
"That sounds good to me." Lena smiles.
Kara, Lena and Morgan all then begin eating their burgers. Kara and Lena both notice that as soon as Morgan takes the first bite of her burger, her eyes go wide, in delight.
"Do you like the burger, Morgan?" Lena asks, with a slight chuckle in her voice.
"Yes." Morgan nods, happily, "I've never had burgers before."
"Oh, well, I'm glad you like them. Kara, Alura and I all very much love burgers. In fact, I think Alura will be pretty jealous that we got to have burgers without her for lunch today." Lena says.
"I can save Alura some of my burger then." Morgan quickly says, in such a cute voice.
"Oh... no..." Lena says, with so much admiration on her face as she looks at Morgan, "You eat all your burger. Alura will be fine. We can all have Big Belly Burger again some other time."
"Okay." Morgan replies, after a few moments silence.
Kara, Lena and Morgan all then continue to eat their burgers for the next few minutes, with them all chatting away, with the adults making sure to include Morgan in their conversation. However, eventually a topic comes to mind for Kara, that she knows she has to ask Lena now, or she will forget about it later.
"Lee?" Kara asks.
"Yes, darling?" Lena replies.
"Did you.... uhh.... ever get a chance to look at the.... box the Leviathan artifact was in?" Kara asks.
"Oh...." Lena replies, "No. I didn't. After you gave it to me.... and.... before I left...... I put it in a secure safe in my private lab here in L-Corp..... and I haven't touched it since."
"Oh, okay." Kara nods, "I'm only asking because J'onn thought that maybe studying it, and learning more about it could help us. At least in understanding what Leviathan wants to try and do."
"Yes." Lena nods, in agreement, "I'll make sure to put that on my list of things to do next week."
"Okay." Kara smiles.
Kara, Lena and Morgan then continue to eat their lunch for the next few minutes, and soon move on from the burgers to the French fries. In doing so, Lena and Morgan make a little game out of eating their French fries, sharing some ketchup with one another, and touching the tips of their fries together before eating them. This is something that might seem weird to many people, but Morgan seemed to enjoy it, and constantly giggled over it.
Eventually, time goes by and Kara knows that she and Morgan have to leave so that Lena can get back on with all her work.
"Okay. It's time for us to go, Morgan." Kara says.
"Okay." Morgan replies, standing up from the couch.
"I had a very nice time spending lunch with you, Morgan." Lena says, with a caring smile.
"I did too." Morgan nods, "Your office is really nice."
"Thank you." Lena says, with a little chuckle.
"Before I go, I know you said you'd pick Alura up from school today, but I thought I could do it with Morgan, as I've already finished all my work for the day, using my powers. So, this way Morgan and I can now spend the next few hours going to the park or something, and then going to pick Alura up. Then you could get more of your work done, and come home for around 4, instead of 3?" Kara suggests.
"Oh, yes. Okay." Lena replies, "That's fine by me."
"Great." Kara smiles back, before turning to look at Morgan, "Alright, Morgan. Let's go."
After Kara says that, Morgan slowly nods her head, before turning to look at Lena while biting her lip slightly. Lena notices this, and can tell that the young girl wants to say something.
"What is it, Morgan?" Lena asks, in a soft voice.
"Can I have a hug?" Morgan asks Lena in such a sweet voice.
"Of course you can, darling." Lena says, now referring to Morgan as 'darling' for the first time.
Lena quickly moves over to Morgan, and picks her up in her arms, taking her in for a hug. Morgan, in response, wraps her arms around Lena's neck, and hugs the CEO back. As the two hug like this, Lena feels a warm feeling grow in her chest, one that she has felt before when hugging Alura. Lena is coming to realise just how precious this little alien girl is. In fact, Lena feels so much warmth in her chest, that she can't help herself when she adjusts her head a bit and places a tender kiss on one of Morgan's cheeks. Morgan, for her part, doesn't seem to react much to the kiss at all for a few moments, before she eventually just moves her head to rest on one of Lena's shoulders. The sight makes Kara's heart ache from the cuteness.

It is now a few hours later, and Kara and Morgan have just arrived at Alura's school to come pick the 5-year-old up. Since Kara and Morgan left Lena's office, the two did exactly as Kara said, went to a park, and had a really lovely time together, playing in a playground, and running about on some grass. However, during their time in the playground, Kara did notice how Morgan didn't know what to do, as she didn't know what everything was, which just made Kara feel really bad for the alien girl. Of course, a part of that is due to Morgan being an alien, and her only arriving on Earth relatively recently, but another part is clearly because the human family who took care of her for a short time, and then abandoned her, didn't take her to parks, or get her to do all the stuff kids do, like watch TV, go swimming, and everything else. Thinking about this just makes Kara feel really bad for Morgan, and now she just wants to try and do as much as possible with the 4-year-old, so that the alien girl gets to experience all the fun things of being a kid on Earth before another place is found for Morgan to go.
Kara and Morgan are now standing outside Alura's classroom, waiting for the end of the day. The school bell rings, and in response, Morgan gets scared, and quickly brings her hands to her ears, and moves closer to Kara, yelping slightly. Thankfully though, Morgan is still wearing her bracelet, so she doesn't accidentally shoot out any of her spikes from her hands.
"Morgan, it's okay." Kara says, quickly crouching down and taking Morgan in for a hug, "It's just the school bell to signal the end of the day. I'm sorry. I should have told you about it."
Morgan doesn't say anything in response for a few moments, but Kara does feel that the 4-year-old relaxes in her arms.
"Okay." Morgan eventually says.
"Good." Kara smiles, as she breaks from the hug, "Alura will be out soon now."
Kara then stands back to her feet, and holds out her hand which Morgan takes. The duo then wait a few more minutes until Alura's classroom door opens, with the 5-year-old being the 6th one out.
"Morgan!" Alura says, happily, and goes running over the 4-year-old alien, and takes her in for a hug.
Morgan, for her part, seems to be happy about Alura's presence, as she hugs her back with a soft smile on her face.
"Hello." Morgan says, a bit shyly, all while continuing to hug Alura back.
A few moments later, Morgan and Alura part from their hug, both with smiles on their faces. Alura's smile is very wide, while Morgan has a small one.
"I thought momma was picking me up from school?" Alura says, looking at Kara.
"That was the plan originally." Kara nods, "But Morgan and I had lunch with momma today, and we thought it would be nice if we came and picked you up, and then momma could meet us back at home. That way she could get a bit more work done, and have less to do when she gets home."
"Oh, okay." Alura nods, with a smile.
"Alright then girls." Kara says, with her own smile, "Let's go home."
"Yes." Alura nods, eagerly.
Alura then grabs one of Morgan's hands, and begins to walk out of the school with the 4-year-old, with Kara following the two kids closely behind. Kara honestly can't believe how well Alura has taken to Morgan, but her heart does feel good seeing how much Alura really likes Morgan already. Morgan has seemingly slotted into their family as if she is meant to be there.

Kara, Alura and Morgan have now been home back at the penthouse for about 30 minutes, and Lena walks in the front door.
"Momma!" Alura says, with a big smile, going running over to Lena and taking her in for a hug.
"Hello, darling." Lena smiles, hugging her daughter back, "Did you have a good day at school?"
"Yeah." Alura nods, with a smile.
Alura and Lena part from their hug, and Lena then glances her eyes over to Morgan, who is looking at her.
"Hello, Morgan." Lena smiles, moving closer to the alien girl.
"He...llo." Morgan replies, nervously.
"Can I hug you?" Lena asks, in a soft voice.
"Yes." Morgan nods, slowly.
Lena wastes no time, and takes Morgan in for a hug, holding her tightly. Now that Lena knows that Morgan is okay with hugging her, the CEO wants to try and give Morgan as much affection as possible, as clearly she has been through some traumatic experiences over these last few months, not only with her arrival to earth, which included losing her parents, but also being abandoned by the human family who took her in.
"What did you and Kara do after you left my office?" Lena asks Morgan, with a smile, once they part from their hug.
"We.... went to the park....... and played together.... and ran around." Morgan explains.
"Did you have fun?" Lena asks.
"Yeah." Morgan nods, in a slightly breathless voice.
"That's good." Lena smiles.
Lena then moves away from Morgan, and greets Kara by taking her in for a kiss. Once Lena finishes that, she heads upstairs to get changed into some more comfortable clothes, before coming back downstairs to spend more time with Alura, Kara and Morgan.
"What are we going to do this afternoon?" Alura asks curiously.
"I don't know." Lena admits, as they haven't really thought of anything to do.
"Can we go swimming?" Alura asks, with a smile.
"I don't think that is such a good idea, seeing as Morgan can't swim, and learning to swim isn't really fun. Plus, we don't have any armbands or anything for Morgan." Kara says.
"Oh, okay." Alura nods, not making a fuss over not being able to swim this afternoon.
"I know what." Lena smiles, coming up with an idea, "How about we all get changed into some swimming costumes, and instead of going swimming, we get into mommy and I's jacuzzi tub in our bathroom? We can sit there, relax, and even have some nice cool drinks as we do. How does that sound?"
"Yes. Let's do that." Alura nods, eagerly.
"What do you think, Morgan?" Kara asks the young alien girl.
"What's a jacuzzi?" Morgan asks.
"Oh. It's like a big warm bathtub, that has like, jets of water shooting out. If you sit on them, they can massage your back, or tickle, depending on the position you sit." Kara explains.
"It's really nice, Morgan." Alura says, in an encouraging voice.
"Is it deep?" Morgan asks, with a bit of a worried look on her face.
"No, honey." Lena replies, "You'll easily be able to stand up in it, and we won't let anything happen to you. You can just try it out, and if you don't like it, then we can get out and do something else."
Morgan then remains silent for a few moments after Lena says that.
"Okay." Morgan eventually agrees.
"Great!" Lena smiles, happily.
After this, Kara, Lena, Alura and Morgan all get changed into their appropriate swimwear, with Morgan borrowing another piece of Alura's clothing to do so. It is pretty lucky that Morgan and Alura are such similar ages and sizes, but both Kara and Lena think that if Morgan stays with them any longer, then they should probably go buy her some clothes to call her own.
Soon Kara, Lena, Alura and Morgan, settle into the jacuzzi, with Morgan actually taking to it all very well, albeit this may be because Alura didn't leave the 4-year-old's side the entire time she was first settling into the jacuzzi. Kara and Lena are both pretty sure that this was because Alura knew that her presence would help ease Morgan a bit, and get her to relax.
"What do you think, Morgan?" Kara asks, with a smile, once they have all settled into the bathtub.
"It's nice." Morgan replies.
"That's good." Lena smiles, "Now we can all just relax in here for a while, enjoying the hot water, and sipping our nice drinks."
The drinks that Kara and Lena have brought for them all, is two big glasses of apple juice, with ice cubes, for Alura and Morgan, and then a nice cocktail of some fruity alcoholic beverage for both Kara and Lena, with some ice cubes in as well. This all adds to the relaxing mood of them sitting in the jacuzzi, which is helped even further by the fact that the window to the bathroom is slightly open, blowing in a nice cool breeze, but not too cool.
Kara, Lena, Morgan and Alura spend about 30 minutes in the jacuzzi relaxing, while sipping their drinks. Eventually though, once this time is up, they all decide to get out and dry off. To do this, Kara goes and helps both of the two girls have a quick wash in Alura's bathroom shower together, while Lena takes her own cold shower by herself. Kara and Lena then swap places once the two girls are out of the shower, with Lena helping the two kids get dressed, while Kara has a quick shower herself.
After this, once everyone is dressed again, Kara, Lena and Alura all have a discussion about what they want to eat for dinner this evening. The trio try to include Morgan, by asking her what she wants, but the 4-year-old just seems to agree with every single suggestion, likely being too nervous to make suggestions herself, or disagree with some of the options. Ultimately, however, Kara, Lena and Alura all settle on Chinese, with Kara being very eager to let Morgan try some potstickers, and see her reaction to them.

It is now later on in the evening, and Kara, Lena, Alura and Morgan have just settled in the living room, and put on a movie to watch, of Alura's choosing of course. For the first little bit of the movie, just like the previous night, Alura sits on the floor with Morgan, instead of between Kara and Lena on the couch like she usually does. However, about an hour into the movie, Alura silently gets up and climbs on the couch, snuggling into Kara's side, leaving Morgan on the floor by herself, still watching the movie.
About 5 minutes later, Morgan finally notices that Alura is no longer by her side, and turns around and sees that Alura is sitting in between Kara and Lena on the couch behind her, mostly cuddling with Kara. Lena, for her part, then sees Morgan keep turning around and looking at the three of them, almost as if something is on her mind, or she wants to ask something.
"Morgan, do you want to come up here with us too?" Lena asks, with a caring smile, and then shifts slightly on the couch, leaving a space for Morgan between herself and Alura.
In response to this, Morgan simply looks at Lena for a few moments, before she finally nods her head, and then stands up and climbs onto the couch, albeit hesitantly. After this, Morgan happily sits in between Lena and Alura, continuing to watch the movie, and as time goes by, and both Morgan and Alura get tired, and begin to fall asleep, Morgan cuddles into Lena's side, with only half her eyes open, watching the TV. In this moment, Lena feels so very honoured that Morgan is doing this with her, as she has already worked out how shy and hesitant the 4-year-old is, even with Alura.
Eventually the movie comes to an end, and Kara and Lena both silently decide that they should take both the kids to bed. So, Lena picks Morgan up in her arms, while Kara does the same with Alura, and both the adults then carry the two kids upstairs into their respective bedrooms.
Once Lena enters the bedroom which Morgan is sleeping in, she places the little girl down on the bed, deciding that she probably doesn't need to change her into pyjamas, as her clothes are comfortable enough. However, just as Lena pulls away, Morgan says something.
"Mommy?" Morgan says, as she slowly opens her eyes.
Lena's heart then breaks as she witnesses Morgan open her eyes, see her, and grow a sad and disappointed look on her face. Of course, Lena's heart doesn't break for herself, but for Morgan, as clearly just for a moment, the 4-year-old thought that her real mom was alive and well. A horrid though that many orphans across the entire universe have experienced, including Lena herself, but now she is on the witnessing end of things, which she thinks just might be worse.
"I'm sorry, Morgan." Lena says, in a soft voice, with a lot of sympathy written on her face.
In response, Morgan nods her head, and grows some tears in her eyes.
"I miss my mommy and daddy." Morgan says, and then begins to cry.
"Oh, Morgan." Lena says.
Lena then climbs onto the bed and lays next to Morgan, taking her in for a hug, and just allows the 4-year-old to cry. A part of Lena instinctively wants to just say to Morgan 'It's okay', but it's not. Morgan has only relatively recently lost both her parents after coming to Earth, which is devastating to most people, especially children. So, Lena knows that things are not okay right now, nor will they be for a long long time. All Lena knows that she can do right now, is be there to support Morgan, and offer her some love and comfort, something that Lena wishes Lillian, or even Lionel, had provided her with right after she thought she lost her birth mom.
"I'm here, Morgan." Lena says, "I'm here."
For the next several minutes Morgan continues to cry, until she eventually completely cries herself to sleep, which Lena realises by the feeling of the 4-year-old relaxing in her arms. A few moments after this, Kara comes into Morgan's room.
"Is everything okay?" Kara whispers, "I... I heard what happened with my super hearing."
Lena turns and looks at Kara with a worried look on her face, worrying about Morgan.
"Not really." Lena replies, "I... I hope you don't mind, but I think it might be for the best if I stay here with Morgan for the night."
"Of course I don't mind." Kara replies, "You lay with Morgan, and I'll let Alura sleep with me."
"Okay." Lena nods.
"Do you need me to bring you anything?" Kara asks.
After Kara asks her that, Lena thinks about asking Kara to somehow change her into her pyjamas, but she ultimately decides that whatever Kara does, it might wake Morgan, and the clothes she is currently wearing are comfortable enough to sleep in anyway. So, instead, Lena simply asks Kara to bring her in her phone, which the blonde does a few minutes later.
About 5 more minutes later, Kara leaves the room Morgan and Lena will be sleeping in tonight, and then heads back into Alura's room, where the soon to be 6-year-old has woken up a bit.
"Is momma not saying goodnight to me?" Alura asks, with a sad look on her face.
"I'm sorry, Alura." Kara says, "Momma is going to sleep with Morgan tonight, as Morgan got upset, as she woke up and told momma she misses her parents. So, Lena thinks it will be best if she lays there to comfort Morgan tonight."
"Oh..." Alura replies, in a sad voice herself, "What..... what happened to Morgan's parents?"
Kara sighs.
"We are not too sure the specifics." Kara admits, "But, we are pretty confident that they are dead."
"Oh." Alura says again, but in an even more sad voice, "Maybe I should go and lay with Morgan too?"
"No." Kara quickly says, "For tonight, let's just let momma lay with Morgan. You and I can sleep together in momma and I's bed, if you like?"
"Yes. Okay." Alura nods, with a smile.
Kara then proceeds to pick Alura up out of her bed, and carry her into her and Lena's bedroom, with the two of them then settling into the bed together a few moments later, and falling asleep.
