10. Finally out!
Songs kept playing and we kept swaying.
That was until, many people got drunk and in the party mood and they started Hindi- Punjabi party songs.
All this while, I and Kaya were in this trance where only both of us existed with songs like 'Tum Se hi', 'Raatkali ek khwaabon mein aayi', 'Raabta', 'Saibo' playing in the background. After the party songs started, we left each other and our chat halted as we got drinks.
❝ I think this is the perfect time to escape ❞
I told her, sipping on the lime soda.
❝ I second that ❞
She said after gulping the whole glass.
I nodded and chugged the whole thing down, feeling as if a cold breeze hit my throat.
❝ Let's go ❞
She said and I nodded, as we ran out of party room. Please present us our award for escaping without getting noticed.
