You are in the locker room, helping Garth with all the preparations for the upcoming game when you hear a sinister voice then lots of running and screaming outside
You go check outside, and you see what caused this commotion: There is a black-haired girl in a pink and violet dress floating and shooting pink energy beams at Jess and Hal
Garth: What's wrong Y/n?
Y/n: I need to go - You run outside without saying anything else
You duck behind the trash bin and activate your hero suit, then fly to help them
As you reach them, Jessica has switched into her Green Lantern uniform and Hal looks confused at his ring, which is sputtering some green goo
Jess: What's wrong with your ring?
He hides his hands behind his back and smiles nervously
Y/n: Hey, I thought today's game was football?
Hal: Shadow Cat!
Jess: That's what it was supposed to be, before Hal's supervillain ex 'Star Sapphire' appeared - She makes a smug face - And now Hal is too SCARED to activate his ring~
Hal: Dude! She really freaks me out.
In a split second, your muscles tense and you notice a pinkish beam of light coming at you
Y/n: Look out! - You exclaim as you leap towards it to deflect it with your claws
It explodes on contact, throwing you, Hal and Jess a couple feet away
Landing safely, Jessica tells you to bring Hal to the locker room
You pull him up your shoulders and start running as Jessica provides a bubble shield for you
Star: You can't hide from my love, Hal Jordan!
Jessica: What did you do to her?
Hal: Nothing. She's just mad 'cause I broke up with her.
Star: Worst text EVER!
Jessica/Y/n: Wait! / You what?!
Jessica: You broke up with her over text?
Y/n: That's straight out inconsiderate!
Hal: I put a smiley face in it. I'm not the Joker.
Y/n: Okay now that's nonsensical!
Star: Well, now there's a frowny face... - She makes a frowning heart with her flames - On my heart!
Hal whimpers and is now from all three of you
Jessica: How could you do that to her?!
Y/n: You deserve this you moron!
Star: You broke my heart!
Jessica: That's the lowest thing you've ever done!
Star: I cry myself to sleep every night!
Y/n: See what you did? You dolt!
Star shoots the heart at Hal, it explodes and sends him flying
Jessica flies ahead and catches Hal before he hits the ground
You switch to using your boots to skate along the ground to match their speed, then reach for stun grenades to hinder Star Sapphire
Hal: *groans* Will you please just hit her?
Jessica: If anyone deserves to be hit, it's you!
Y/n: Utility out! - You say as you throw a flash grenade behind you
Jessica makes four walls of harden light rise from the ground, trapping Star Sapphire inside
Y/n: That should be enough to buy us some time - You speed ahead
The three of you reach the changing room, barge in and find out it is full with guys
Boy: Girl! - One of them shrieks, alarming the others, who run out screaming
Y/n: That was unexpected - You laugh
Jessica puts Hal down, then slaps him
Hal: Ow! Come on. I didn't know she was a Violet Lantern when I started dating her. She was just Carol.
Jessica: A violet what?
Hal: A Violet Lantern. You know, how our rings use will-power, hers uses love.
Y/n: Oh that's just great, I bet she's the most powerful and unhinged too
Star: [outside] You can't run from me, Hal Jordan! LOVE WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY!
Hal: Does that answer your question? - He sighs - If only I wasn't so effortlessly charming and ruggedly good-looking, then she wouldn't have any power.
Jessica: *gasp* Wait a minute. You might be onto something there.
Hal: Oh, so you think I'm ruggedly good-looking, huh?
Y/n: Shut up.
Jessica slaps him again
Hal: Ow!
Jessica: She's powered by love, right? - She grabs him by the shirt and drags him to the nearest mirror - So, we have to make her not love you. By making you ugly.
Hal: *chuckles* Good luck!
Y/n: Ooh, let me try something! - You grab a handful of hair gel and style his hair like 2007' Justin Bieber's haircut
Jessica: Hmmm, terrible, but not enough
She ruffles his hair, and turns out he looks good on it
Hal: *clicks tongue* See? Lost cause.
Y/n: *snaps fingers* Maybe we should make him a permed fe-mullet? - You rub your chin - Or maybe make him bald? Or worst of all... The Rattail!
Hal: Nononononono! - He walks away from you, covering his hair - No more messing with my hair! She would just make me put a cap or something anyways
Y/n: Then I guess your only choice is to flee the city and change your identity - You shrug
Jessica: *snaps fingers* That's right! A fake identity!
Y/n: I was just joking, but I know a guy that-
Jessica: No! I meant it like, making Hal act like someone else - She explains - Preferably a nerd.
Y/n: I felt that - You grip your chest as if you were in pain
Jessica: Nah, you're the cool kind of nerd
Star: [outside] Hal Jordannnn~!
Hal: Guys, stop flirting and hurry up!
Y/n: Okay, okay so... - You remember Garth was here when you left, he might be still here - Yo Garth!
Garth: What's up Y/n- Wait-
Y/n: No time for that! - You shush him - Now take off your clothes!
Garth: What?
*One second later*
Jessica: Thanks, Garth. We just need to borrow your style for a bit.
Garth: Yeah. You're not the first to tell me that.Everyone loves my flava.
Jessica: Okay, Hal, slouch it down a little.
Y/n: Shorten your neck.
Jessica: Stick out your gut.
Y/n: A little more.
Jessica: Perfect! That's super unattractive!
Garth: Wait. What?
Y/n: Now that's a lotta damage
After that, Jessica shoves Hal out of the dressing room, he falls face-first on the ground
Y/n: [whispering] Get up bro, you can do it!
He looks at you, nods, takes a deep breath and then walks to meet Star again
Star: There you are. - She looks down at him, impatiently tapping her foot on air
Hal: Greetings, Carol - He does a vulcan salute - You want to hear all about my new allergies?
Star: Eww - She covers her mouth in what looks like nausea and a bit of worry
She loses some altitude and the heart aura she had seems to get a bit smaller
Jessica: *gasps* It's working. She's losing power!
Hal: Or... Or maybe... Maybe you want to come check out my... *whispering* Hey, Garth, what's something that you like?
Garth: Star Battles comic books.
Hal: My Star Battles comic books!
You can't help but giggle at poor Garth's reaction
Star Sapphire floats down some more as Hal starts doing a weird, humiliating dance
Hal: Look at me, I'm such a losery nerd!
Star's aura dissipates completely, and she stops floating
Star: *gasp* What happened to you? [crying] My beautiful Hal Jordan - She whimpers as caresses his cheek
Hal: Sorry, baby. This is the real me. - He tells her, making sure to make some spit fly as he talks
Star takes a few steps back
Star: *whimpers* Look at you, so sad. So pathetic. So gross.
Hal wipes some snot off his nose
Star: No one can ever love you like this... - She looks down, and you do an air punch in triumph
Star: ...Except me. I'll love you forever! - She regains her aura, which looks more powerful as she speaks - Only I can see the beauty behind the geek! No one can love you like I can, Hal Jordan. Not even... HER! - She points angrily at Jess
Star: Once you're out of the picture, there'll be no one left between me and my Hal Jordan!
Jessica: Oh, wait! You think... *laughs* No. No, no, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no, no! No. No, no, no, no, NO. We are not together. Not even close to being together. We couldn't be less together-
Star shoots an arrow at Jessica, who dodges it
Star: You will so regret the day you stole my Hally Wal from me!
Jess summons a bo staff and deflects two shots before the third snaps it in half
She summons a bow and arrows instead, and they also fail to deflect the heart-shaped shots
Hal: Powered up like this, who knows what destruction she'll cause. You have to fight her!
Jessica: No. There's got to be another way!
Y/n: I got this. - You crack your knuckles as your Bulwark full-body armor forms around you - What I'm about to do is straight up crazy, so be ready to back me up
Jessica: What are you going to do? - She struggles under her harden light shield
Y/n: I'll have to hurt her!
You leap at Star Sapphire's direction, dodging the shots she takes at you, some of them graze you on your face, shoulder and ribs, making little harm to you
When she is on your range, you reach for her then pull her into a hug
Star: What... What are you doing? - She grunts as she realizes you are not trying to hurt her
Apparently, her aura alone can'thurt you, so you dematerialize your helmet
Y/n: He doesn't love you...
Star: [crying] No! *whimper*
Y/n: I'm sorry. I know it hurts.
Star sobs and hugs you back as her aura dissipates again
Hal: That is not how you hit!
Y/n: Listen, Carol, I get it. We all want to be loved, but you can do so much better than Hal. - You reassure her, slowly hovering down to the ground
Hal: *scoffs* Good luck
Y/n: See? Just look at him
Hal: Huh?
Y/n: He cares about nothing but football and himself
Star: He never complimented me, not even once
Y/n: He has terrible breath.
Star: It smells like dog food.
Hal: Can you hit him Je-
Jessica slaps his face and goes towards you
Jessica: His real name is Harold.
Hal: My name is Hal!
Jessica: The only book he's ever read, is a playbook.
Star: I tried to get him to read Pride and Prejudice once, and he asked where the pictures were.
Jessica: See? He's a smelly, freakish, nincompoop.
Hal: Uh, hey, Star, hit her- Garth punches the back of his knee
Y/n: Listen, Carol, the love you have for Hal is one-sided - You take her hand - And this ring won't change that
Star: After our breakup They gave it to me saying my love was strong enough to achieve anything...
Y/n: Can I? - You ask softly, referring to her power ring
She wipes her tears, then nods
Y/n: This ring is the symbol of this unhealthy obsession you had - You take it off her finger, causing her to switch back into her cheerleader outfit - I will be keeping this, and when you remember to remove it before sleep, please remember this day.
Jessica: Listen, Carol, you'll find the love you neeed when you start loving yourself and let go of Hal.
Star: Thank you. I don't think I've ever felt love like this. My blind desire for Hal Jordan kept me from seeing how much love I had inside of me. You're right, if he can't appreciate me, then he isn't good enough for me.
With that, she takes her leave, you watch as she calmly walks away... But then she turns on her heels to face you
You half-expect her to say something like "Hal Jordan, one day, I will make you good enough for me!" and run away laughing maniacally
But instead, she blows you a kiss, waves and jog away
You have succesfully changed this girl
Hal: You know, you could have just hit her - You, Jess and Garth raise your fists in response , and he puts his hands up defensively - Nevermind!

You (still as Shadow Cat): Hey, have you found your classmates yet?
Carol: Oh! Hey... Eh...
You: Shadow Cat
Carol: Shadow Cat, yeah I found them, they were just hiding inside your school.
You: I see... And may I ask why is a girl like you all alone in here?
Carol: I just wanted to stay alone and think some more about what happened earlier
She takes your hand
Carol: I can't thank you enough
You: No worries, aanyways, do you mind if I keep you company?
Carol: Of course not
"Maybe it's still too soon but... I think I am in love with him"

Welp, another chapter done
As you probably can tell, Carol is no longer a villain and will be one of your girlfriends, thus being your partner in '#ScrambledEggs' and making '#ItsComplicated' well... complicated to write, and meaning I will skip that one
