IT'S her first day today in this private school. It was her father's decision na pumasok siya dito but it was for a mission. Her, attending this school is just an excuse to finish her mission since her target is not an easy one. Ipinalibot niya ang tingin sa kabuuan ng lugar. Very spacious ang lupang kinatitirikan ng University. Sa unang tingin palang sa lugar ay paniguradong mga elites in the society ang mga nag aaral dito.
Naglalakad lang siya papasok dahil bumaba lang siya sa may gate ng school, may mga nakakasabayan naman siyang mga naglalakad rin sa walkway. Sunod sunod ang mga pumapasok na mga luxury cars. Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, BMW, name it. All the car brands are in the top ten ang halos nakikita niyang dumaraan.
Maraming buildings ang nakikita niyang nakatayo sa paligid, mayroon ring malapit sa entrance. And when she looks up, nakita niya ang ilang kalalakihan sa verandah ng isang floor. They are watching all the students na dumarating especially the ladies, the other guy even has binoculars with him. Just what the hell...?
Napailing nalang siya at tuloy tuloy na pumasok. Of course, she still needs to find her first class before doing the mission. Her phone suddenly vibrated inside her jeans' pocket. Kinuha niya iyon and check who's the caller- it was her sister. She answered the call.
"Georgi!" It's her hyper voice that greeted her.
"Are you sober now?" she asked.
"Kinda.. yea. So, where are you? Are you in that school already? How is it?"
"Yes. It's just a typical school for elites, katulad lang rin ng school natin. Well, are you in school too?" she asked. Knowing her sister, baka hindi na naman ito pumasok dahil sa hangover. They went to the same University but since she has a mission to do so, kinailangan niyang lumipat.
"Yep. Kuya dragged me out of the bed kanina. Nakakainis! Ayaw ko nga sanang pumasok! Hmp! I was looking for you kanina din pero sabi ni Kuya nakaalis ka na nga. Anyway, ilang buwan ang palugit ni Dad sa mission mo?"
"He gave me three months."
"Oh my. That's kinda long... why though? Usually isang buwan lang ang binibigay niya sa'yo."
Napaisip nga rin siya sa bagay na iyon dahil mahaba ang palugit na ibinigay ng tatay nila unlike her missions before but when he discussed the details of the mission it makes sense why it will take that long.
"He's a Mafia Lord's son, Gen. One of the strongest organisation that's why our father told me to be careful on this one. Plus the fact na halos nandito rin ang anak ng mga nasa organisasyon na iyon kaya kailangan kong mag doble ingat."
"OMG, that makes sense. But why ikaw lang ang pinalipat ni dad? I mean it's a hard job, he should have asked me to accompany you!"
"That won't be necessary. You know I always want to work alone plus..." she trailer off ng marinig niya ang boses ng kapatid na nagsasalita na sa kabilang linya.
"Hey, you. Did you just glare at me? Who do you think you are huh? Feeling mo ikinaganda mo 'yan? Nakikita mo ba iyang sarili mo? Look at me-"
Georgina ended the call after hearing her bickering. Yes, one of the reason why she doesn't want to have her sister around her while on a mission because of her temperament. She won't be at peace. She texted her brother for a heads up although hindi naman na nagugulat ang kuya nila kapag nasasangkot sa gulo ang kapatid nila. Hanggat maaari rin ay hindi nito pinaaabot sa tatay nila ang mga nangyayari because he'll definitely get mad. Alam din nila kung paano magalit ang tatay nila pero talagang matigas ang ulo ng bunso nilang kapatid. That's why they are always covering for her.
She sighed.
Sa kalalakad niya ay narating na niya ang loob ng main building. It was a sixth floor building na sobrang lawak pala. Hindi iyon pansin agad mula sa labas. May mga signage din siyang nakikita kaya mukhang hindi siya mahihirapan na hanapin ang Registrar office to get her schedules.
Halos ten minutes rin ang inabot niya sa paglalakad para mahanap ang office, it's not that mahirap hanapin ang office.. sadyang napakalawak lang talagang lakarin ng lugar. When she finally found it, she stayed for another minute to wait for her registration card. They also gave her a map and some other school papers.
She smiled to herself when she left the office. The odds seemed to be in favor of her, hindi na siya mahihirapan pang maghanap ng paraan para kabisaduhin ang bawat sulok ng school. The map is enough for her. Blue print layout nalang ng school ang sunod niyang kailangang hagilapin. She was reading the map while on her way to her first class when someone suddenly bumps into her. It was a girl, mabilis itong tumatakbo at hindi man lang tumigil para humingi ng pasensiya sa kaniya. Napailing nalang siya at itinupi ang map. Ano pa nga ba ang aasahan niya sa mga spoiled brat kids? Humility is far from their vocabulary.
She continued on walking and from that ay may nadaanan siyang kaunting kumpulan ng mga estudyante. Bahagyang sinilip niya ang kung sino ang pinagkakaguluhan ng mga ito and there- she saw the girl na nakatabig sa kaniya kanina. Looks like she's having an argument with someone. Perhaps may nabundol na naman ito sa ka-clumsy-han nito.
Georgina looks at the person who she is having an argument with and she stops on halt upon seeing the person.
It was a guy- that same hazel brown eyed man she met on that bar that night. He's more gorgeous in broad daylight. A total fine man... She shook her head. It's not the time to praise someone else's beauty.
Umalis na siya. Rinig pa niya ang ilang bulungan ng ibang estudyante sa paligid like they're bad mouthing the girl and defending the guy or something. But well, she doesn't need to involved herself with these kind of things.
All she have to do is to finish her mission and leave here as soon as possible. This mission- hindi na niya patatagalin pa ng tatlong buwan ito. A month will be enough to execute it.
Plus the fact that her target is just hanging around carelessly is good. That same guy with hazel brown eyes... just too bad huh?
Finally, narating na niya ang unang klase. Looks like wala pa ang professor kaya tumuloy na siya sa loob. There are around twenty students in the class, lahat sila ay may kaniya-kaniyang inaatupag. As usual, the vacant seats are always located at the back row kaya doon nalang siya naupo.
"Hi."
Napatingin siya sa nagsalita. Halos katabi lang niya ito kahit may isang bakanteng upuan sa gitna nila. It was a girl with long straight black hair, may suot rin itong big eyeglasses.
Tango lang ang isinagot niya rito. "You're a new transferee?" muli ay tanong nito.
"Yes." maiksi lang na tugon niya. She hoped the girl would noticed na ayaw niyang makipag usap. But it looks like she's numb..
"Ohhh. I'm Monic Angelie Pierre, ikaw?" pakilala pa nito. Her name is quite long too. She extended her hand to her, she was smiling. Her face, is too innocent. "Gabriel Sandoval naman itong nasa tabi ko." dagdag nito pertaining to the nerdy guy besides her.
She accepted her hand. "Georgina Kim Sta Maria." sagot niya as she released her hand.
"You have a callous yet delicate hand..." Monica's smile didn't drop while saying those.
Georgina felt something else behind those innocent smile, or maybe she's just overthinking it. Hindi nalang siya umimik sa huling sinabi nito. She doesn't want to get involve with people around here. She's just here for a mission.
Unfortunately, the odds seemed to be not in favor of her dahil ilang subjects rin ang magkakatulad sila kaya't palagi niyang nakakasama si Monica as well as the other nerd guy. Pero hindi naman siya masyadong kinakausap ng dalawa kaya medyo nasiyahan siya sa bagay na iyon.
As the days went by, hindi namalayan ni Georgina na isang linggo na rin ang nakalipas simula ng pagtapak niya sa school na iyon. Naki-blend nalang siya sa common student na nag aaral to keep her low profile. Less attention, less hassle.
They were having a snack at the cafeteria since it was break time. Naging kasa-kasama na rin niya ang dalawang nerd which she didn't expect afterall. Palagi naman siyang lumalayo at hindi pinapansin ang dalawa pero in the end nagsama sama lang silang tatlo, she started wearing eye glasses too kahit hindi naman niya kailangan
"OMG! The Five Kings!"
Someone shouted. It was a girl, napatingin tuloy kami sa tinitingnan nito dahil sa reaction nito.
Sa glass door ng cafeteria ay pumasok doon ang ilang kalalakihan. They have this strong aura that demands attention, sa isang linggong inilagi ni Georgina she found out that these guys are like the alpha of this university. Of course she did her research on them. Sila rin pala ang nakita niya nuong unang pasok niya sa school na nasa itaas ng building at nagmamasid sa mga pumapasok ng estudyante.
They came from the wealthiest clans of the country, even in Asia kaya hindi maikakaila why they became the alpha here. Their names, family, relatives, businesses and connections, she digs all of their information. Even the darkest things, she did find them all and the most interesting thing of all is that their family is involved in a Mafia Organisation.
Ito yata siguro ang dahilan kung bakit pinag iingat siya ng tatay niya. Even some of the students or people who are working here are part of that organisation. Some of them are even the so called 'Mafia Reapers' - the Mafia's hidden killers and guards.
These guys can move as they wish because they know that they have eyes and caretakers everywhere.
"Are they really popular?" she asked the two nerds. Of course, she needs to act like fool who doesn't know anything.
Napatingin sa kaniya si Monic, "Ah... yes." sagot nito. Pinanuod rin paglalakad ng mga kalalakihan. "Just look at their faces, it's enough to make the ladies droll."
"Di you like them too?" tanong niya ulit.
Monic gave her a dead's eye look, "They will only ruin my peace of mind, so why would I like them? Baka ikaw? I mean, it's your first time seeing them this close right?"
I gave her the same stern face. "If liking them would also ruin my peace of mind, why would I too?" balik sagot niya.
Ang biglang pag ubo ni Gabriel ang nagpatigil sa kanila. Napatingin sila dito dahil parang nasamid ito. Dahil malapit siya dito ay inabutan niya ito ng tubig.
"Were you just laughing at us?" ani niya dito. Napansin kasi niya kanina ang biglang pagpigil nito ng tawa sa kung saan. Wala namang nakakatawa sa pinag uusapan nila ni Monica.
"H-hindi ah! A-ano... may naalala lang ako." pagtanggi nito but it looks like it's not the case though.
Both her and Monic just shrug. Ibinalik nila ang tingin sa nga kalalakihan na naglalakad at tumitingin sa mga buffet food sa cafeteria. All of student's eyes are glued to their every move. The great thing in this school na ikinatuwa ni Georgina is this food place. Para lang silang nasa isang very expensive restaurant na eat all you can. It's just so luxurious.
"Ikaw na naman? Nanadya ka ba?"
Georgina focused her eyes sa babaeng biglang nagsalita. It was the same girl na nakabundol sa kaniya sa hallway at ito rin ang babaeng naka argument ng same guy on her first day here. It's just so fun to watch, para siyang nanunuod ng isang teen drama.
"Who's that girl?" tanong niya kay Monic.
"I think some people call her Yvonne? Ever since she enrolled here ay palagi nalang niyang nakaka away or nakaka argument ang Kings. Lalo na iyang si Giovanni Claude. Ewan ko ba dyan sa babae na iyan e, naghahanap palagi ng away. Iyong alpha's pa talaga ang binabangga."
Hmm.. ibon? What a noisy bird.
"Baka naman kasi nagpapapansin sa Kings. I mean baka may gusto siya kay Claude ganon naman sa novel or drama diba?" out of nowhere ay wika ni Gabriel.
"Are you a hopeless romantic?"
"Have you spent watching too many romantic films?"
Halos magkapanabay na sambit na wika ni Monic at Georgina, giving Gabriel a disbelief look dahil sa sinabi nito.
"N-no! Not at all. I'm just guessing! Geez!" he defended. Hindi nalang sila nagsalita ulit sa sinabi nito.
"Miss whatever your name is, aren't you the rude one here? I mean, kadarating palang namin. Ikaw, kanina ka pa narito then out of nowhere you're magically around my friend and saying dumb things. Did you just hit your head somewhere?" one of the guys meddled in. Matangkad, maputi at chinito.
"Right." komento ni Monic.
Tumango-tango rin si Georgina bilang pagsang ayon. Sabay pa silang kumagat sa sandwich na nasa kamay nila habang nanunuod sa eksena.
"That's enough guys. We shouldn't create a scene here. Pag usapan nalang natin ito ng maayos." suggestion ng isa pang lalaki sa grupo.
"Very responsible talaga si school council's Pres."
"Gwapo na, responsible pa!"
"Tama naman si Pres e. Papansin kasi itong si Yvonne, palagi nalang niyang target iyang si Giovanni."
There are side comments and whispering around the cafeteria. Soon, Yvonne the girl left the cafeteria to cover her embarrassment.
"That's too quick, too bad. Di man lang ako nag enjoy. What a pity."
Georgina couldn't help but agree with Monic. She didn't enjoy the show that much. Mas madali pang natapos kaysa sa kinakain nila.
"But do you think baka may gusto lang talaga siya kay Giovanni?" pag ulit na naman ni Gabriel.
"Oh, shut up." Monic said as she rolled her eyes. "Kanina ka pa ha, baka naman ikaw ang may hidden desire sa Kings?"
Parang masusuka ang reaction ni Gabriel. "Luh gaga ito. Hot nga siya pero babae pa rin ang type ko 'no."
"Whatever you say, Gabriel..."
Georgina just shook her head with their conversation. Natutok ang paningin niya sa Kings habang tinatapos ang sandwich. If she's the typical girl, she would have swooned over their undeniable beauty. Hindi talaga kasi maipagkakaila ang kagandagan nilang lalaki, each of them has their own charisma.
Napatigil siya sa pagnguya dahil biglang nagtama ang paningin niya at ni Giovanni Claude habang papaalis na ang mga ito after they get their own food. Mabilis lang iyon, baka hindi nga nito iyon napansin.
She sighed. It's just a waste that his pretty face is going to die soon.. in her own hands.
