The entire Lab 8 shook from that explosive force.
In one of the training rooms, Y/n is seen teleporting around as then, knives came flying out of the smokescreen making him teleport again, dodging it from above.
???: AHAHAHAHA!!
Chara comes out smiling gleefully at him as Frisk suddenly appears right behind Y/n, an ethereal shield made out of her psychic energy in hand as she tries to bash Y/n with it.
But like the whole time, Y/n waited for her before easily dodging it.
Chara: Quit moving around and let us hit ya~!!
She exclaims with a crazy look on her eyes, she always get like this when it comes to a battle, even if it's a spar.
Y/n: What? You think I'm just gonna stand there and take it?
He ducks again and teleports away much to Chara's growing frustration.
Umbrella: Go Big Brother!!!!
As they continue to battle, Umbrella is seen cheering on the sidelines and surprisingly next to her was Marie, along with Valentine and Dr. Avian.
Marie was there as she wanted to tag along with them, not having much to do for the day, she like Umbrella was cheering on for her love as she waves a small flag around with Y/n's face in it.
Marie: Go Y/n!!
Y/n looks to her and winks, making her smile but Chara looks on annoyed.
Chara: WHERE THE HELL YOU LOOKING AT!?
She sent more knives at him which he teleports away.
Marie watches on but she's a bit worried on this training.
In her hand was Y/n's scarf, holding it for safe keeping to prevent another "accident" to happen from Doctor Avian's instruction, something that made the Maid confused seeing nearly everyone's nervous expressions.

Peacock: HEHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Patricia or Peacock as she very much preferred to be called in battle, was having one of the best times of her life as she occasionally kept throwing bombs at the three and they all either dodge or destroy the bombs.
Dr. Avian: Ugh.. I told her not to use much!
Marie: *Sighs* Oh Patricia...
Currently, the only three Espers of ASG Agents were having one of their training sessions under the order of Dr. Avian, to see their progress.
Least to say, they've grown exponentially, especially Y/n.
Chara can summon more knives now, with it having to be more sharp and refined, having grown deadly on the offensive side and her twin Frisk can create more ethereal materials, whether it may be shields or weapons, but she mostly goes for barriers or shields, mostly on for defenses.
You could say Chara is the sword or you could say knife and Frisk is the shield.
With Y/n though, as mentioned before, he can now teleport around in short distances, his strings have grown stronger and larger in both quantity and quality as they can cut through almost anything!
Plus his telekinetic prowess have grown more stronger and difficult to break through, according to an honest opinion of Frisk.
*Boom!*
Peacock: Hmm not enough explosions.. *GRINS!* I can fix that!
She suddenly had an unnerving grin as she watches them fight.
She then suddenly opens up a hole near her and puts her arm on it as she seemingly starts rummaging through it.
Peacock: Now let's see you guys dodge this!!
Suddenly she brought out large bag out of the hole and she grinning madly throws it into the air, spilling whatever's inside only to reveal.
All: !?
Bombs...
Lot's and lots of bombs.
Everyone panicked at this especially the three but thanks to their quick thinking, Frisk with the help of Chara immediately covered all of the bombs into small spheres and Y/n caught them with his strings, much to their utter relief.
Dr. Avian: YOU IDIOT! ARE YOU TRYING TO DESTROY THE ENTIRE LAB!?
He shouted at her with shark teeth comically.
Marie: ( つ0Δ0)つ PATRICIA!!
Peacock: Oh you guys worry too much!! I just used my weakest ones! It'll only blow the room.
Dr. Avian: AND ALONG US WITH IT!!!
Peacock: O_O... Oh right... my bad..
Y/n sweatdrops at this as then Chara appears right in front of him.
Chara: Where are you looking, we're still in a fight hahaha!!
He quickly swerve to the side, her knife cutting bits of his hair as then he teleports again and sent strings at her but she swiftly cuts them down.
Chara: HAH WEAK!
Y/n then swung his arm to the side and his needle comes sliding out of his sleeve and he blocks a strike from Chara as both engages in a clash of slashes.
Chara smiles crazily as she dashes towards him, her knives orbiting around her as it glows bright and she combined them all into a big one surprising them all as she swung it down hard and Y/n responded with an overhead slash...
*BOOM!*
A bright explosion went off from their clash, filled with their psychic energy, which then created a chain reaction to the bombs around them, which caught them all off guard as the audience had immediately took cover.
*BOOM!!!!*
Marie/Umbrella: Y/N!/BIG BROTHER!
Dr. Avian: FRISK! CHARA!
All cried out in shock as slowly the smokescreen slowly clears away showing Frisk and Chara but Y/n was nowhere to be seen which worried them.
The twins were panting heavily, especially Chara being closer to the blast, they were glad they had resilient bodies thanks to their powers.
Frisk: What.... was that?
Chara: I.. I don't know....
Back at their big clashing moment...
Chara saw something, and due to her twin psychic connection with Frisk, she saw it as well.
It was a bit blurry but they were certain of it.

Both saw two... no three small figures, all of them were standing in a field of yellow flowers..
There were other figures in the background too, but their forms were distorted as all the twins could see were their smiles.

That was it.
Just what was that?
Both pushed those thoughts and question away as they look in front, Y/n still nowhere to be seen in the smoke which begin to worry Frisk.
Frisk: W-Where is he?
Chara: Ain't no way that guy got blow up!
She exclaimed but she was frowning, which showed she was.... worried too.
Y/n: Well that was a BLAST hehe..
They all perked up at that voice as the two quickly looked up in surprise.
Y/n was now in mid air, seemingly floating but in reality he was standing on his strings.
Y/n: Aww~ Those are some looks you have~ Were you worried about me?
Chara: Pfft AS IF!
She shouted at him, annoyed at that but she was smiling widely as Y/n smiles back,
The three of them, all of them were getting pumped up! Their bodies feeling the adrenaline rush in their veins as it was exhilarating!
Y/n may be a lazybone but he does enjoy this feeling of thrill!
Valentine: Doc, shouldn't we be stopping them? They all look roughened up already!
Dr. Avian: No, no let them continue, I have a feeling we're about to see something interesting.
This made Valentine confused as she watches them in worry.
Y/n then spreads his arms as strings shoots out of his sleeves and Chara charges with Frisk following behind.
They immediately went after him but Y/n quickly surrounded himself with debris that were created from the explosion and he throws them at the two.
Frisk quickly made a force field, protecting themselves from the things thrown at them as then Y/n's strings had wrapped itself around shield as Y/n tries to destroy it.
*Crack!*
It cracked as Frisk struggles and this made Chara took action as she grabs her sister's hand.
Chara: You're not alone in this sis!
Frisk smiles as then both girls let's out a battle cry when their eyes glows bright red together, a sudden spike in power which everyone felt!
Frisk/Chara: TOGETHER!!!!!!
Two red cartoonish heart appeared on the Twins chest as both hearts resonated one another, though none saw it.
Everyone looks in utter surprise, especially Dr. Avian as he smiled at this as Marie and Umbrella looks in awe?
Y/n looked in surprise but grins wider.
The cracks in their shield instantly repaired as then knives came shooting out of it towards Y/n who quickly teleports away and quickly caught all the knives with his strings formed into web-like structures.
But then, in a sudden blur, Y/n looks behind to see Chara holding an oversized knife, smiling, Frisk as well was right in front of Y/n, shield in hand, both of them having to boost up their speed to come out.
Chara: We win!!
Both goes for the winning strike as slowly..

Suddenly before they could attack, all their attacks especially Chara's knives diminished and Frisk's shield shatters into pieces.
Frisk/Chara: WHAT!?
The girls couldn't believe their eyes, their knife and shield suddenly broke unexpectedly, not until they saw Y/n's strings around their weapons as they were glowing bright as well, flowing over to him which then his eyes glows brighter than usual.
This didn't escape Dr. Avian's eyes as he looks astonished.
Dr. Avian: Did he just...
Frisk/Chara: ABSORBED OUR ATTACKS!?
Y/n who look totally unaware what just happened, looks on surprise.
Y/n: Huh, now that's neat~ but I win.
Strings immediately shoots out of his sleeves, heading towards them and the two quickly tries to escape as Frisk quickly puts up another barrier around them but unfortunately it shattered as well making the girl gawked.
Chara: Frisk!!
Chara quickly throws knives at Y/n which made the smiling Esper to dodge away but unfortunately...
*Boom!*
Few of the knives had Peacock's bombs attached to them as Chara sneakily put them on as some manages to hit Y/n making him fall off
Y/n: Oof! I think I'm gonna feel that later...
Though as if fate was messing with them again, due to that attack, this made him lose control of the strings direction causing the girls to get covered, pulled and tangled up in mid air when Y/n fell.
Frisk: W-What!? T-This is..
Chara: N-NO!! A-ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
She shouted in anger but mostly embarrassed when she was caught suspended in mid air, stuck in Y/n's strings... again.
Both Peacock and Valentine look on and sweatdrops at this while Dr. Avian look away, Frisk who was caught in the same way was blushing up a storm to see her sister's back in her kink and now she's a part of it..
Frisk: T-This is embarassing..
Even Marie was blushing as she had to cover Umbrella's eyes to shield the child's innocence.
Umbrella: Hey! Marie I can't see!

In the background, Chara was looking down, depressed.
Chara: I.. I can't believe I fell for it again!!

Dr. Avian sighs as he pinches the bridge of his nose.

The Princess looks to be deep in thought, distracted by something.

Molly looks at her worriedly.

Parasoul widens her eyes hearing her voice as she looks to see Umbrella showing up from a corner for which she perks up at this and was about to walk over and call out to her...

....she stopped when she saw her jumping around Marie, looking the happiest she can be as Marie smiles back.

She grinned as they laughed and walked away together..

Parasoul couldn't help but grew saddened at this as she turns away going to another direction.
Molly saw this and grew concerned but didn't say anything, not wanting to make the Princess uncomfortable.
It's been a week already when Umbrella left the castle and started living with Y/n and the girls, but both Molly and Adam could already see the effect on the Elder sister.
They could only hope that the two will make up soon..

The scene changes into New Meridian city as currently, the little Princess of Canopy Kingdom is seen at the park, sitting on a bench, drinking Hot choco while watching a few kids playing with their pets in the snow, some were dogs while others were cats, snuggling in their owners arms for warmth.

Her eyes were deeply locked at the little furry creatures as she never noticed the presence behind her.

She exclaimed startled by him as Y/n looks at her confused and looks to see what she's staring at before which Umbrellatries to prevent by covering his eyes but was too late.

Y/n: Nah I don't think so.. Its kinda obvious you were staring at those furballs..

The scene changes into the streets of New Meridian, before into a store full of animals inside, showing the three there.
Y/n: So Squirt, what kind of pet do you want?
Umbrella: Oh, I honestly don't know... and hey! Quit calling me Squirt!!
Marie looks at the animals there and she couldn't help but gush at the sight of kittens and puppies there.
Marie: What about a puppy? Oh or even a kitty!
Umbrella: Emm I don't know...
Umbrella looks around the place as there were birds, cats, dogs, even lizards but none seem to catch her eyes. Even with the little ones.
Y/n: What about this guy, he looks cool.
Umbrella looks at one of the dogs blankly staring at her, only for it to crosseye which made her cringe.
Umbrella: Yeah.... no...
Y/n: Oh, then no worries Kid, there's few more shops to look into.
Marie: Yeah Umbrella, you'll find the right one soon...
Soon a montage begins to run with Y/n shown running while pulling a board for the next scene!

They quickly changes into another store with Umbrella looking at some recommendations the owner was giving to her but so far not good either.
The Owner kept yapping too many fancy words about the animals here that is good enough for a Princess like Umbrella but she wasn't impressed so far much to the cluelessness of the Shop Owner.
Y/n yawns a bit from the boring presentation as then he leans on the side and accidentally put his hand onto a fire ant pit, making them climb all the way to his arms.
Y/n's eyes bug out as he started flailing his arm around the whole store, soon causing chaos as many people and employees screamed from the itching pain of their itty bitty bites.
Umbrella watches laughing while both Marie and the Store owner panics as the entire place were now filled with ants biting into the other animals making them riot.
The scene changes again with Y/n, Umbrella and Marie running while pulling another scene board.
The next store, Umbrella was currently looking at a parrot perched on her arm as the princess acts like a pirate making Marie laugh.
Y/n was right behind them, chuckling to himself before he accidentally leans against on a a glass full of snapping turtles which..
You guess it, ended the whole store in chaos when they bit onto Y/n's hood.
Thankfully it wasn't his scarf or otherwise it would've ended worst.
...Why do they even have snapping turtles there in the open?
Themontage then ends with a snapping turtle biting the fourth wall.

Time passed and it was almost the end of the day.
All of them have been walking around the city, having to visit every pet stores known in New Meridian, that including the local city Pound too.
So far none of them caught the little princess interest.
All of them were now at the park, Umbrella was currently dragging Y/n, while Marie crosses out the last pet store in their map, all three of them looking tired especially with the smiling boy.
Umbrella: Finding the right pet is hard...
Y/n: Oh come on Squirt, I still think it's easy..

Y/n flinches in shock as he looks at his arm to see a Snapping turtle nibbling on it, he quickly gets rid of it as he wildly swung his arm around as it went flying away, into a Getaway car that was passing by being chased by police.

A flaming wheel rolls pass them but none of them look bothered.

Leave it to one of New Meridian's fraudulences and luckily Y/n wasn't hit by the Skunk but the owner instead!
Umbrella: *Sighs* Looks like no pet for me....
Y/n and Marie looks at each other in worry seeing the little girl sad like this, hurt their hearts.
Marie: Oh don't be sad Umbrella, I'm sure we'll find the right one soon.
Umbrella: How? We alreafy visited every store here and no luck...
Marie: Well there are other places outside New Meridian, you just gotta keep looking, I promise!
Umbrella: I guess so.
They made it back to their home with Marie going to the kitchen to cook up some snack to cheer her little sister up while Y/n lied on the couch with Umbrella watching some cartoons on TV.

Y/n got up from that noise that didn't came from the Tv he was for sure but outside.

He looks out to him window for that loud noise but didn't see anything until.

Y/n: That came from the alley.... don't tell me someone's getting robbed again...
He quickly looks to the open door leading to the kitchen, seeing Marie was still busy and Umbrella too, being distracted on the TV, still sad.
He then takes a shortcut towards the alley as there he looks around for the said robbery.
Y/n: Alright, it better not be that Racoon feral again or else I'll—.
But there was nothing there.. except the mess made around.
Y/n: Woah ain't this a STINKER.

A bottle rolls over to him and Y/n seeing this grew wary as he quickly looks to the trash cans and there he finds adorable little poofy pup staring at him, growling.
Y/n: ......
Pup: Grwl!
Y/n: ...Okay. I totally did not expect this...
Y/n looks at the pup, he doesn't know why but the pup strangely gives him a sense of familiarity, almost like he knows the pup...
Weird... he's been getting feelings of familiarity this past months.
Y/n crouches down, looking at the obviously scared puppy.
Y/n: Hey there little guy, what ya doing out here in this stinky old place?
He tries to pet it but the pup growled making him back a bit,

He looks at the big pile of garbage as he checks it, out moving bits of it showing a box.
Y/n: Ah I'm guessing the garbage fell on your box, huh little guy?
The Pup fearfully backs away from him which made him feel bad.
Y/n: Hey it's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm a friend..
He quickly uses his telekinesis to put the trash back to where they belong, the dumpster.
Y/n: See I fixed your home little guy.
The pup continues to whimper and seeing this Y/n brows furrowed but then gets an idea.
He rummages through his sleeve as the pup watches warily not until it's nose perk up as it starts sniffing the air for that delicious smell.
Y/n: Heh, want some?
In his hand was a dried beef jerky as he held it towards the pup.
It sniffs the jerky on his hand.
The puppy look ups at him as Y/n nods and slowly it takes a bite before it then starts gobbling it all down.
Y/n: You're quite hungry huh little bruh..
The Pup continued to eat more of that jerky until there was one left but that seemed to fill up the pup's tummy.
Y/n: Hehehe looks like your good but I doubt your full yet, so where's your Mom little bruh?
The puppy looks at him confused which made his smile falter a bit.
Y/n looks around the alley, trying to find signs of the pup's mother but so far....
...none.
He looks to the little pup's box and saw it was tagged "Free puppies" as it had a small blanket on it and empty bag of dog treats. which made Y/n sad.
Y/n: So you're the same as me huh bud...? All alone in this alley..

A memory flashes showing Y/n, waking up in an alley, with nothing on him except his iconic clothes and...
A red scarf near him.

The pup looks at him, tilting it's head when it saw Y/n's sad face.
Pup: Arf!
It cutely barks at him as it wags its tail cutely jumping to him as Y/n grabs him to his arms making him laugh when it licks his face, cheering him up.
Y/n: Hehehe hey that tickles..... hmm so you're a boy huh..
The pup now identified as a boy barks.
Y/n: Hmm... I think I'll call you... Fox!
The white Pup barks cutely at him from the name as he wags his tail.
Y/n: You like that huh? Well your name is Fox then! Hmm maybe Umbrella will like you.... Well it doesn't hurt to try! Wanna meet her!?
The pups eyes sparkled which made Y/n chuckle.
Y/n: I'll take that as a yes!
Taking the shortcut back to the living room where Umbrella was still watching the TV.
Y/n: I'm back!
Umbrella: There you are Big Brother!
She looked over to greet him.
Umbrella: Where'dyou go so suddenly, I- huh?
She looks in confusion when there was a bump in his hoodie as Y/n was smiling at her. But a much wider smile compared to his normal one.
Umbrella: Uhh.. Big Brother what's that you go there?
Y/n: Hehe.. well Umbrella.. since none of the animals in those stores caught your eyes! I have a feeling this one will! Say hello to your new pet!!!
Umbrella: Eh?
The pup comes out of his hoodie, barking cutely.
Y/n: His name is Fox! I found him in the trash cans to the alley next to us...
Umbrella: What? You found him in the trash?
Y/n: Yeah, he's all alone... Him and his little box...
Umbrella: Eh? Really? That's so sad.. wait his name is Fox? That sounds so simple.. and lame..
This shocked the two.

She cheerfully yelled as she walks in only to look confused from the two glaring at each other.

Filia seeing the pup, immediately drops the bag he was holding as she immediately snatch the pup from the floor.

AN UPDATE!!!
It's almost 2 MONTHS now since I last updated this book! You already know my reasons if you read my announcements.
Anyway this chapter is mostly about Umbrella getting a dog which you all should be familiar with.😋
