you all nodded and went into a room to change, you wondered if you were actually going to find any human being out there, alive.
as you finished putting on new clothes, you heard a knock on the door of your room.
"hm? who is it?"
"your mom."
"seriously Akito?"
"Sorry sorry! I just had to do it!!"
"do it again and ill shove my gun into your ass."
"what the fuck. DON'T DO IT."
"IF YOU DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN THEN DO DO THAT TO ME AGAIN"
"yes, I won't, I PINKY PROMISE"
"good, now what is it that you were supposed to tell me?"
"oh yeah! are you finished? since all of us are ready to go outside and yeah."
"o, perfect timing cause I just got finished with dressing up."
"Good, now get out."
"that sounds offensive but okay."
you opened your door revealing Akito, who was smiling like an idiot.
"the hell are you smiling for?"
"because."
"??"
"yes. okay, let's go."
Akito grabbed your hand and went downstairs, revealing everyone.
a few 'hello's', 'hi's' and 'hey's' there.
"wow. no energy, love the vibe." you joked, and a few giggles were heard.
"Let's go!" Kohane spoke up and went outside, the others doing the same.
- OUTSIDE -
"Let's go in a car, it's dangerous if we walked, and we can't run away with any survivors by walking, and yeah," Rui explained,
"True, I agree with Rui," Tsukasa spoke, in just a few minutes everyone agreed,
"Alright, car it is."
"wait! whos driving?" Tsukasa asked.
"me," Akito said,
"you literally almost crashed us before, so I will," Touya said,
"wow no need to expose me."
"It's the truth."
"Okay okay let's just go in the car!"
you opened the door for everyone to get in, everyone gets in and you got in last, you sat beside Touya, who was driving the car. Touya started to turn on the engine of the car and started driving.
the car passes by the empty streets, zombies here and there, and no signs of any human beings or human activity at all, just nothing.
nothing is present, just zombies there,
"where are we going again, [y/n]?"
"uhh..."
"your mom's house." Akito 'answered' Touya's question,
"I fucking swear make a mom joke again and ill kick your balls so hard that they would bleed and fall apart."
"damn okay ill shut up."
"anyways, we're heading to the erm...grocery thing."
"Alright."
Touya starts turning left, revealing the road filled up with zombies,
"holy..shit, TURN BACK TOUYA WE FINNA DIE RIGHT HERE"
Touya starts going backward, attracting the attention of the zombies to the car.
"uh oh, maybe we shouldn't have done that left turn."
"GO TOUYA GO WE'RE GOING TO DIE HERE IF U DO NOT SPEED UP."
"girl we finna crash."
"yay."
Touya started speeding up, heading in any direction he can so he could lose the hordes of zombies, in a matter of minutes he finally lost the horde of zombies, sighing to himself deeply before placing a hand on his forehead and resting for a bit,
"Are we going to seriously rest right here when we just lost like a bunch of zombies that are probably searching for us by our scent?"
"calm down, it's just a few minutes of rest, maybe Touya needs to see if the coast is clear or not, also zombies can smell??"
"probably?"
"dumbass, they can't smell."
after a few minutes of resting, Touya finally removed his hand from his forehead and then onto the wheel of the car,
"drive easy 'cause if I see any zombies chasing after the car you're going to hear me scream."
"wow, so reassuring Akito."
"I know right."
"Alright let's go, the coast is clear I think."
Touya starts to drive again on the empty streets, he drove slowly but surely, loud breathing was heard in the car, and you and the others heard a scream while slowly driving,
"the hell was that?"
"Sounded like a girl's scream."
"true."
"that didn't sound like a zombie scream either, so it's definitely a human being 100%."
"damn alright."
you saw girls running in the distance, you couldn't make out their figures but they reminded you of a certain group, they were running away from zombies and yelling for you to wait for them,
"Isn't that Ena?"
"gah damn, she's still alive?"
"okay anyways, Touya."
"hm?"
"unlock the doors."
"o" Touya unlocked the doors to the car, waiting for the girls to get close enough to the car.
the girls get close enough to the car, it was the whole 25-ji members,
"OPEN THE DOOR AKITO"
"bro calm down I will."
Akito opened the door, letting the girls into the car, then closed the door and told Touya to drive away and lock the doors.
the girls who just came into the car breathed heavily from all the running.
"t-thank you..."
"You're welcome, how come we've never seen you outside for 8 months, Kanade and the others?"
"oh...we were hiding."
"yeah! we were hiding from all the zombies, only went out to grab stuff when were low on them."
"ah, I see."
"you don't see, now focus on the road unless you want us to crash."
"geez okay."
"remember Touya, we're going to that one grocery thing yeah."
the rest of the ride went smoothly, although Tsukasa can't help but wonder what happened to his beloved sister?
- AT THE GROCERY STORE. -
"Alright, we're here, get out of the car, the coast is clear anyway."
everyone got out of the car, just waiting for Touya to get out, everyone else including Touya had their guns or weapons with them.
After a few minutes of standing by and looking out for zombies, Touya finally got out.
"the hell? what took you long."
"It's nothing, Let's go."
you all started walking towards the grocery store, trying to be quiet as possible to not attract anything, after walking, well some were tip-toeing.
"you looked kinda silly when you were tip-toeing."
"shut it!"
"stop. let's just go inside already."
you opened the door of the store, revealing the literal store itself, but messier of course.
"Woah..."
you and the others started to run around the store, getting whatever was needed or wanted, you suddenly heard a rustling near you.
"yo guys, something is near us."
everyone, including you, was on high alert.
"come out! whoever that is!"
"if it's a zombie your talking to, I'll giggle to my death."
"what the hell..."
"is that you, Saki?"
"girlie if that's a zombie I'm going to absolutely lose my shit."
"ew."
"Slowly stand up whoever that is if you're a person that is."
the person slowly stood up from their spot, revealing long blonde hair with pink-colored tips and tied up into twin tails.
"Isn't that S-"
"B-big brother...?
"holy shit that is a Saki who is surviving out here."
"hi Saki, how you doin'."
"S-saki...! you're alive!"
"duh, I'm alive, but it's good seeing that you're healthy and very much not a zombie."
Saki ran up to her brother and hugged him, in response to her sudden hug, he did the same, hugging his sister back.
"I missed you..."
"I missed you too..."
"Okay this is cute and all but let's hurry before zombies find out our spot."
"yeah."
the Tenma siblings broke the hug and nodded, going back to get supplies, as well as everybody else.
in the end, you all got back safely, with new survivors as well.
9 MONTHS INTO THE WORLD OF THE LIVING DEAD.
Everything was great, well at least you thought it was, the Shinonome siblings kept arguing about something. you did not understand why they kept arguing about literally anything, although they seem angry with each other today.
you wondered what happened between the two siblings, you sigh deeply as you stood up from your chair and started walking towards Akito's room, wanting answers.
you knock on his door, waiting for him to answer. his door swung open, revealing the man.
"[y/n]."
"hi that's me, I need to tell or just ask you about stuff."
"yeah yeah whatever come in."
"Thanks."
the man led you inside the room, it was a bit messy but it wasn't THAT MESSY.
"come sit down," Akito pulled out a chair for you to sit on,
"Thank you." you sat down on the chair, he sat on a chair on the other side,
"sooo, what did you wanna talk about?"
"I wanna talk about..."
"About?"
"Deez nuts"
(SORRY I JUST HAD TO DO IT)
"seriously [y/n]??"
"if you could make Deez nuts jokes on me sometimes why can't I?"
"Good point, anyway, what did you wanna talk about?"
"About you and Ena, what were you guys fighting about? you can answer it if you want, but if you don't then that's fine."
"oh..that."
"hm?"
"uh, we were just fighting about things that we disagreed on, nothing much."
"ah okay, you guys don't actually get physical like fighting or something?"
"wha- no."
"Okay good, anyway that's all I just wanted to ask you."
"dang could have just asked me outside."
"Sorry dude."
"hm, it's fine, you goin' to stay with me or?"
"nah, it's night and we need rest for tomorrow."

you stood up from the chair and headed for the door, opened it, and closed it behind you, you walked in the empty halls towards your room. no one was awake, well at least you thought so. you opened your door and went in, making sure to close it behind you, and then went to bed.
who knows what would happen tomorrow?
- THE NEXT DAY -
you awoke to your room being filled by the ray of the sun, groaning, you covered your eyes to shield them from the brightness, a few minutes after you removed your hands off your face and get used to the light, you stood up from your bed and slowly made your way to get your gun.
you grabbed your gun and headed for the door, opening it then closing it once more, then headed downstairs. getting greeted by Rui and the others,
"good morning [y/n]."
"morning!"
"what are we having for breakfast?"
"Deez nuts."
"fucking stop, I just woke up."
"yeah! stop Akito! you kept doing that to me when I didn't do anything to you!"
"Shush Ena!"
"Okay okay, let's just eat."
"for real, I'm hungry."
"I think everyone is hungry."
"I want noodles."
"Alright alright, here. take it or leave it." Rui passed multiple plates in front of some chairs,
"you all goin' to stand there and look at the food or eat?"
Rui asked and then everyone took their seat, stuffing their mouths with the food.
"dang, chew on your food."
"for real."
"you literally are not chewing your food, you have no room to speak."
a few minutes pass, one finished their food, and then the others did,
"alright, who's going to clean the dishes?"
"no."
"girl just throw 'em out, they're paper plates anyway"
"true," Rui started going outside, throwing the paper plates into a trash bin and then heading back inside.
"threw them out."
"good."
"why can't we re-use them?"
"for reals."
"what is Rui going to do about it? wash them? pff, aren't they going to get soggy?"
"true but don't we have like one of those plastic wraps or something?"
"huh??"
"We don't."
"dang."
"could have been helpful but that's okay."
"hm."
"anywayss, wanna go out [y/n]? like scout the area and stuff?"
"ah, sure Mizuki."
10 MONTHS INTO THE WORLD OF THE LIVING DEAD.
the Shinonome's were constantly ignoring each other and fighting, the Tenma's were okay, the others were just there. everything was well, you, Akito, and Touya patrolling the area, 25-Ji and WxS members were inside of your house.
"So far there's nothing out here."
"mhm."
"yeah."
"Should we head back inside?"
"We could."
"Unless we get kicked out."
"that's my house, idiot."
"says who? did you even buy it? bet you didn't, you stole it."
"duhhh, of course, I would steal it, I mean who even is using or living inside of it? plus it's my chance to do so."
"true."
"you guys stolen or just got something?"
"food, water."
"dang."
"a phone that is low battery and can't even charge, and other stuff of course."
"dang you fr did that?"
"of course."
"I bet you're lying."
"..."
"DUDE ARE YOU ACTUALLY LYING"
"maybe."
"I will take that as a yes."
"Okay, you caught me. I did lie."
"dang, didn't expect you to give up so quickly."
"shut it."
"guys?"
"what is it now Akito."
"hm?"
"After this whole thing ends, what would you guys do?"
"hm, I don't know."
"I would probably need some time alone to recover from the whole thing."

"yo, do you guys see that in the distance?"
"what?"
"never mind my eyes are playing with me, Let's go back inside."
"strange...alright, let's go back."
"Okay."
the three of you went back inside, everyone was resting, and silence filled in the room. everyone looked comfortable, chests rising up and down, the atmosphere was comforting, but knowing your current situation makes you feel bad for them.
"seems that they're asleep," Touya whispered,
"yeah no shit sherlock."
"dont be mean to Touya, Akito."
"Okay, anything for you."
"shush, go somewhere and rest for a bit, ill cook some stuff for all of us."
"dang, ill cook with you Touya."
"o, alright."
"you guys can cook, I'm going to rest for now."
"Alright, have a good rest."
"shall we get to cooking?"
"Okay, let's go."
- AFTER COOKING -
"This looks nice and it smells good."
"agreed."
"let's wake them up so we could eat?"
"sure."
- A WEEK LATER - (author got a lil lazy but yes)
you were outside, well not just only you but everyone, why you may ask? someone decided to be an idiot and throw out necessary items.
"Why the hell would you throw the items out?!"
"Because!"
"BECAUSE??"
"Okay okay, stop. let's just go back to the store and get the items back."
"FINE!"
"sheesh, no need to be so angry."
everyone got into the car, this time, you were driving.
"why does [y/n] have to drive this time?"
"because they're more responsible than all of you."
"wow."
"That hurts."
"Alright, let's go."
you started driving onto the empty streets of a once lively town, everything was empty, building's windows were shattered into pieces, leaving the bits of broken glass on the floor, blood-smeared everywhere.
you drove slowly, being sure to not attract zombies like last time.
minutes pass by as you get closer and closer to your destination, after a bit, you saw the store. you parked somewhere near the store just in case some zombie would chase you or your teammates. all of you got off and headed for the store, collecting whatever was needed again, canned food, water, glasses perhaps? if you even need that of course. you grabbed everything you needed or wanted.
minutes passed, and people went in and out of the store, loading the supplies into the car, Ena and Akito were outside, not getting supplies nor helping. They were in charge of keeping watch while the others loaded the car with supplies. If something happened, they would signal out that there were zombies near the store.
-SWITCH POVS | ENA POV -
I and my brother were patrolling the area, the others were just loading the car with the supplies we needed. we looked around, but nothing was there. not even a single zombie, just nothing but old abandoned buildings and empty roads.
"why did I have to patrol with you?"
"oh, I don't know because you would mess up something while they were loading things into the car?"
"I wouldn't do that."
"Plus, I didn't even wanna patrol with you! I would have preferred someone else, not some...girl."
"seriously?! I didn't even wanna be here with you in the first place!"
"well, you are!"
we argued back and forth, not noticing the scene we created that attracted. we argued more and more, and then got hugged by something, falling to the ground, now just realizing that we were going to get eaten by zombies, just because we argued over some stuff.
how silly, we were supposed to patrol, not end up like this.
tears were about to overflow my eyes, is this how I was going to die? my last moment on earth was arguing with my sibling? how pathetic.
"I'm...sorry."
"I'm sorry too."
"I didn't expect us to be like this in the end."
"It's fine, at least I'm with you, right?"
"I guess so."
"look, I'm sorry for how I acted."
"it's fine."
"I love you."
"I love you too."

we finished loading the car with the supplies, we just needed Ena and Akito back here,
"Is anyone going to check up on the other two?"
"probably made a scene, no worries though."
"I'll check up on 'em!"
"alright Saki, be careful."
"I will!!"
"aw man, why can't I go with my sister?"
"fine, go with her."
"thank you."
"everybody else, go in the car!"
all of you went into the car, you being in the front and Toya being in the passenger seat. you all quietly wait for the siblings, expecting them to be here in one piece. minutes pass by, and nothing.
you began to get worried for the siblings, what happened to them? where were they?
soon, your answer was answered.
the Tenma siblings were running away from a bunch of zombies, the people in the middle acted quickly and opened the door, letting the siblings inside and then closing it, some were shooting a bit of zombies.
"DRIVE!"
you turned on the engine and started driving away from the pile of zombies,
"That was a close one."
"Are you guys okay?"
"guys," Tsukasa started,
"yeah?"
"Saki got bit."
"hold on, what?"
"She's going to be fine right..?"
"Tsukasa..."
"right?"
"Tsukasa, she got bitten by one of those zombies right?"
"yeah..but that doesn't mean she could be saved!"
"Tsukasa, once someone is bit then they're infected."
"big brother..?"
Tsukasa looked at his trembling and crying sister, tears in his eyes.
"look man, she gotta go."
"no...please let her stay even for a bit!"
"Sorry man."
the door of the car suddenly opens, and Saki gets thrown out, screaming her brother's name while crying, zombies running toward her and eating her flesh.
"Saki...!" Tsukasa reaches out for her hand, yet, his hand couldn't reach hers.
the door closes, Tsukasa was sobbing tears as you drove back to your base, and the sobs of the male echoed through the car, you arrived back at the base, got out of the car, and walked towards the house, the guilt is eating you whole, perhaps you could have saved Saki.
everyone soon followed you, no one dared to speak, the look on their faces say that they were guilty of what they did, and you felt too much guilt. you ran up to your room and sat down on your bed, fresh tears rolling down your face, maybe...you should have listened to Tsukasa, maybe you should have actually let Saki stay just for a while, but those actions can't be done...because you let the others throw Saki out of the car.
maybe you should have spoken up.
you know It's silly. but, you lost three people today. three of your closest friends, you lost too many people,
who knows just how much you would lose in the future?
- TIME SKIP -
weeks and weeks went by after Saki's death, and Tsukasa became someone else, not like the Tsukasa we know, he began to be quiet, not eat, and he wasn't even responding to any of you, his sister's death made him like this, it impacted him too much.
you felt guilty, everybody did. you tried to cheer him up, but he wasn't having it. he would sulk to himself and would cry himself to sleep, his sobs of agony would be heard in the house for hours at night.
losing someone who you dearly loved and cared about, especially a sibling or family member, hits you hard.
you all decided to go on a walk, you had your guns and weapons ready.
"guys...?" Kohane spoke up,
"hm?"
"can I tell you guys something?"
"sure, go ahead."
"uhm... it's about Emu."
"go on."
"remember the day she was missing with Nene? I...pushed her at a bunch of zombies, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I just...couldn't find the right time to tell you guys. B-but if you're going to ask me about Nene, then I don't know what happened to her, I saw emu all alone. I'm sorry.."
....
"seriously?!"
"Why the hell would you do that?!"
"I-"
"Kohane I can't believe that you did that!"
people were yelling at Kohane, it was understandable that they would but can't they do it a little nicer? zombies go towards you and the others.
"Guys..?"
"why would you do it!!!"
"what is it Touya?"
"look around us..."
everybody stopped yelling and looked around, realizing how much they attracted. they started to run towards them, slashing them apart. gunshots were heard in each direction, you tried to defend everyone. Kohane was crying and stuck in one place, you defended the girl who was weeping. for some reason, this gave you a flashback of the first time you saw Kohane in this apocalypse, poor girl had to deal with all of that guilt.
blood was splattering all over you and the ground, you didn't notice that Kohane moved from her spot.
random loud noises echoed through the empty roads, attracting the zombies.
"Kohane?!"
"what are you doing?!"
Kohane pulled out a button, she revealed bombs attached to her body. zombies were all around her, left, right, and behind. your eyes widen at the scene, you already killed all of the zombies that were all over you and your teammates.
Kohane was smiling at you and the others, tears running down her face as she ran towards the zombies, you all jumped into action and started running to her, she was too fast, and none of you can catch up.
you tripped and fell, looking up from the ground you saw Kohane almost just in front of the many hordes of zombies, you could see in front and at the very front, was An, but she wasn't the An you all knew, she was a zombie, reaching out for Kohane.
"KOHANE!"
the female hugged zombie An as she got eaten by the hordes of zombies, the ones nearby the female bit and chewed on her flesh, Kohane looked back at you guys, smiling as she pressed the button,
"I love you guys..."
then, a loud boom was heard, you and the others covered your eyes from the sudden explosion, some got pushed back from the impact, and some fell on their back or fell on their butt.
you uncovered your eyes, revealing bloody black corpses all over the ground, there was a huge black pile of corpses, you all remained shocked as Kohane's last words remain on your mind.
'I love you guys.'
but why?
some were crying from the sudden scene, but most of you were shocked and didn't notice you were crying.
and you thought you could have survived in the end, all of you. but I guess you were wrong.
