It had been 3 years since Amy and Rory had got married and Rory had managed to get the week off work, it was about 1am and he came into the bedroom and gently woke Amy up,
"hey"
"Hey, what time is it?"
"Just gone 1am"
"and you woke me up because..?"
"It's our 3rd wedding anniversary"
"Rory, I know, can we not have this conversation in about 7 hours?"
"No, I have something to show you"
"This better be good" she stood up and put her dressing gown on, taking Rory's hand as he held it out to her
"you might need something on your feet, what I have to show you is outside"
She raised an eyebrow at him and put her slippers on.
He smiled and led her downstairs and into the garden where he had tied up a hammock between two trees.
"It's a hammock"
"I know, I bought it today, well yesterday now"
"Why are you showing me a hammock at 1 o clock in the morning?"
"Do you remember what we did on our fifth date after we met for the first time?"
"Ice skating?"
"No that was the seventh"
"You really are a hopeless romantic aren't you?"
"You love it, anyway, we went star gazing, and I said.."
"And you said it was the most romantic thing you had ever done"
He smiled at her, "anyway, since the sky is full of stars, I thought we could do it again"
"In the hammock?"
"Yeah"
"Okay then" she smiled and carefully got in, Rory climbing in next to her and putting his arms around her
She smiled at him and wrapped her arms back around him, looking up at the stars, "it really is a beautiful sky tonight"
"Yeah it is" he gently kissed her head and stroked her arm, "I have something else to show you as well" he handed her an envelope, "open it"
She opened it and took out two plane tickets, "what are these for?"
"You and me, I booked two tickets to Paris, this weekend"
"Paris!? Are you serious, I've always wanted to go to Paris"
"I know"
She smiled and kissed him, "you really are the best husband ever"
He smiled, "I know" he kissed her again, "I love you"
"I love you too"
