Levi's POV
Me and Hanji were both peacefully asleep when our baby girl started crying in the middle of the night.
I woke up first and I could hear Lilly crying her head off.
Hanji moved around in my arms before waking up herself to hear Lilly crying.
"Ah jeez....what time is it"
I looked at the moon "late..."
I sigh "I'll go get her"
She yawns "I'll come help"
We both walked into Lilly's room I gently picked her up and smelled her diaper.
"Well she hadn't taken a shit yet" I said as I began to gently bounce Lilly.
"Levi!" Hanji whispered yelled "language"
"Sorry"
I held her up and made her look at me "Oi brat, it's ok, both your parents are here"
I began to gently bounce her and shush her to hopefully calm her down.
She continued to cry her head off....what was I doing wrong?
I felt Hanji place her hand on my shoulder "want me to help?"
I looked at her then at Lilly...."yes"
Hanji smiles and kisses my cheek probably for my effort as I gave her Lilly.
"Shh shhh little one it's ok, mommy's here" Hanji kept on shushing her hopefully trying to put her back to sleep.
I began to have flash backs to when mom would always comfort me when I had nightmares....she sounded just like Hanji....maybe that's why I'm remembering our memories together.
I never knew my father....so mom had to take care of me all by herself in the underground....that's why I will forever hate my father for abandoning her.
Lilly slowly stopped crying and held onto her mother for affection....I guess Hanji just had the motherly touch that calms down Lilly.
I think all mothers have it, mom always knew exactly what to do when I was sad, angry or felt sick....I guess it's just the mother love.
Once Lilly stopped crying Hanji tucked her back into her crib and kissed the top of her head "goodnight my little titan"
After we confirmed Lilly was asleep we both retreated back to bed.
Hanji plopped onto the bed tiredly "don't you just love having kids" she smiled.
I laid next to her "only if you're the mother"
She smiles and pulls my face close to hers and kissed me passionately.
"Aw you're too sweet captain"
I tch "don't expect it a lot"
She smiles "I never do, that's why I love you"
I pull her close kissing her passionately "I guess I love you too four eyes"
She hugs me tightly and cuddles into my chest "goodnight Levi"
"Night four eyes"
Dream
I see mom...she's touching my face with something....I can't really figure it out.
She sighs "Levi what did I say about getting into fights mister"
"I'm sorry momma....they started it"
She puts the cotton ball down....this is a memory.
"Levi violence isn't always the answer" she touches my cheek where I had a noticeable bruise.
"I know...but I hate when people say mean things about you" tears started to form in my eyes.
She pulls me into a hug "ah Levi whatever those people say about me Doesn't bother me, I've learned to ignore them and you should too"
I shake my head "no! You're my mom and I have to protect you"
She laughs "Levi I don't need any protection"
I look at her as tears fell down my face "o-one day I'm going to get us out of here! So we can live better lives!"
She sighs stroking my hair "I guess I can't convince you otherwise, if anyone is to leave this place I want it to be you levi, with or without me you deserve a better life"
"I'm not going anywhere without you momma"
She hugs me "ok Levi...."
I cry into her stomach "I love you momma"
She kisses my head "I love you too my precious boy"
I felt her pick up my hair "I think it's about time you get a haircut"
She picks me up "let's go ahead and get that out of the way"
I nod "ok"

I wake up and I felt my face was wet, Hanji was still asleep on my chest....I probably wasn't asleep for long.
I gently pushed Hanji off my chest and onto her pillow, she groaned in her sleep before she got comfortable again.
I got up and went to the bathroom and started washing the tears off my face....I remembered that memory like it was yesterday....I also remember how mom shortly died after that....she got sick and progressively got worse....until she died.
There are days I miss her like tonight but other days I'm too busy with the scouts I don't think about her much....I wish she was still here.
I sighed and looked back at the bed where Hanji was still sleeping....But now I have a new woman I need to protect and that's her....I can't live without her....I just can't....now that we have a daughter I'm going to make sure they both live happy lives.
I started retreating back to bed, when I laid down I guess Hanji woke up at some point because she turned to me with worried eyes.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah" I sighed.
She places her hand on my cheek...her warmth Kept me calm.
"Levi please tell me the truth, we've been together for so long that I know when you're lying and when you're not"
I sigh "to think I could lie to humanity's smartest soldier"
She laughs softly "bad move captain"
I pull her close and kiss her "I apologize"
She kisses me Again "you're forgiven, now spill I know something's on your mind"
I sigh "I've been thinking about my mother....every time I see you with Lilly I think of her....I just miss her that's all"
"Levi, why didn't you tell me" she caressed my cheek.
I frown "I don't want to keep dumping all my problems onto you Hanji"
She sighs "Levi it's my job to help you with your problems...I care and love you so much Levi I want to make sure you aren't dealing with anything by yourself"
I kiss her "how did I deserve someone like you"
She smiles and I sigh "thanks Hanji...I'll keep that in mind"
She kisses me passionately "you said your mom would rub your head to help you sleep right?"
I nod "yeah she did"
Hanji smiles "come here then"
She opens out her arms and I gladly accepted her offer and laid on her chest hugging her.
She kisses my head and starts to rub by head gently and occasionally would finger through my hair.
"Get some sleep my love, you need it the most"
I nod "thank you Hanji" I kiss her chest before laying back down on it
"Anytime levi"
Her soft touch on my head slowly put me to sleep....
