The thing about insanity is that it engulfs your mind and eats away at your soul.
It takes what you love, thrusting upon more of the despised.
It makes you bitter and angry killing away small steps of hope and redemption from you.
That is what a philosopher would describe as 'insanity' to be.
But Eleanor knew better than them.
She saw it in her eyes.
The red slowly hugged her to a suffocated comfort.
She felt her soul craving for more power in her grasp.
Eleanor was precisely aware of how she was so different from everyone not only because she was the daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson but the way her mind worked.
She knew somewhere in her own heart she was way darker than anyone would want to admit.
But she was not scared of it.
She was not scared of a lot of things anymore.
She had learned that feelings like fear only bought the weak and Eleanor Mikaelson was not weak even if God willed it to be.
So as days and seasons went by, she just became stronger and stronger.
Making her magic more willed and powerful than anyone could.
Just like Emily's magic.
"The thing about me Lydia is that I hate people like you" Eleanor's sweet voice dripped with fake honey
"Ok so we are back to dark things," Damon said he was really tired of these shifting emotions shit
Fuck the controller of this room.
Man, all he wanted was some bourbon today but nope the universe had something against him.
The coven leader Lydia backed away from her already backed way position.
The woman's face drained of any emotion other than fear.
"You know you are Mikaleosn when they look at you like that" Kol whispered to Nik
"That is so not a good thing right now" Nik bit back
"You are no fun"
The fear of impending doom and massacre.
"People who think they can kill me" Her voice created more fear and handed it to the woman
"Yeah the killing is totally on the leader," Bonnie said her voice a running fountain of sarcasm
All the Mikaelsons just gave her a deadly look that said 'shut your mouth or we will band together and kill you
Of course, they did not want one of their own kids to be like a murderer but you know they were just hypocrites like that
Honestly, Eleanor was not scared to use severe violence when it came to situations like this.
Where people like Lydia White thought they could kill her and plotted as if they are the heroes.
They were not the heroes; they were just the pawns in Eleanor's game.
But she knew that if she killed Lydia right now, she would lose the Crow coven's support, so she decided to resort to an easier punishment.
Oh yes, she knew just what to do with her
Poisoning Lydia with something Eleanor created herself.
It would kill her slowly, but painfully which Eleanor would witness sitting on a front-row seat and a bag full of popcorn
"But coming to terms with that if I killed you, my momentary satisfaction will be watered down by a whole lot of casualties " Eleanor's mouth graced a maniac grin
"Maybe there is some good in her" Elena thought to herself
This lit a little hope in Lydia thinking that the girl in front of her wouldn't kill her.
Eleanor pitied those rays of hope, she saw it in a lot of her victims.
"I have decided it will just be better to reverse this whole reality, setting it up before the events and then watch you die a slow death"
"Nope she spoke too soon" the Gilbert girl just internally sighed
"How's that for a plan dear" she could swear if she sounded more maniacal her family would have sent her to an asylum
She saw how the older woman's hope got stumped in just a moment.
Lydia must have found her voice back because she blurted back a reply "You are a monster"
All of these scenes did not help Hayley to be reassured or any other shit.
Fuck, where is she even if Klaus was dead.
Damn it why did her future self even send her own two kids anywhere that was not home for any of them.
"And don't I know that" that was all Eleanor said before her closed and opened again
This time the color was Scarlett.

3 DAYS LATER
If you asked Stephanie her favorite time of the year, she would say it was her birthday that she was always so excited about
She knew how narcissistic she sounded but she loved it.
To be completely honest Damon was just always happy when his kids came on screen.
Well of course leaving the time he actually saw some random ass people just attacking his daughter.
Wow, 'his daughter' did sound so bizarre to him.
The celebration, the gathering and of course the gifts.
This year they were giving her a surprise birthday party which she definitely did not know about.
It wasn't like her brother wasn't loud enough in a certain phone call from their mom outside of a certain class.
Stephanie walked out of her room with a happy and huge-shit eating grin and a big bag floating in the air.
"Well someone is happy as fuck" Kol just commented
He felt like if he did not comment from time to time this room would just be filled with bores and one very pretty girl
She was going home for her 1 weeklong birthday vacation which in truth was just a day of celebration and 6 days of party and drinks.
Of course, Alaric was skeptical when Stephanie first enrolled in the school and demanded to go back home with Alex for her birthday that same year.
But everyone knew that even the headmaster of that school couldn't stop her from celebrating her birthday.
She was Stephanie Bonnie Salvatore after all.
She smiled to herself as she reminisced the memory.
"Well well well well if it isn't the most annoying person's birthday today" someone breathed down her neck"
"Wow I am surprised that she did not punch the person behind," Stephan said directing it toward Damon
"You don't make sense here Stephan," Damon said with a scowl on his face
"Just because your supposed daughter has got some sarcasm doesn't mean you will get it too" Damon spoke like the guy on news spitting facts
"First of that is just very unkind take it back" Stephan feigned being hurt
"Oh cry me, river princess," Damon said just scoffing at his suddenly dramatic brother
Normally if someone did that whole breathing down the neck thing she would have backhanded the shit out of the person but fortunately, she knew who the 'someone was'
"You are just sour because I get to have a party and you don't," Stephanie said turning around to see her brother smiling down at her
"Well my birthday's like in 3 months anyways, so you're not special " Alex turned away in a dramatic way
"And that is how we know they are siblings" Caroline whispered to both of her friends
"Sucker," she said in a whispered tone
"Am not" Alex said jumping in line to defend himself
His sister just gave him a mocking look which exasperate him more.
"I can totally see Damon and Stefan in them" Bonnie whispered back
"Yeah yeah whatever you say" Alex retorted
"Didn't say anything" Stephanie was quick to quip back with a smirk on her face at her older brother
"I literally swear I have seen this once in my life sitting in the boarding house" Elena continued the hushed conversation
To be honest he just rolled his eyes.
And then they call her dramatic.
"Hey, now listen young lady do you wish to not get yourself a gift from a regular yearly supplier of presents person or not," he said finally bringing out the big guns of threats
"That is a very nice way to put it," Alaric said thoughtfully
Alex was very pleased with the reaction he got when he saw his sister gasp
"You wouldn't dare" her voice still stuck between shock and disbelief towards that disgrace of a brother
"No, I think you don't understand " Alex lowered his voice to a threatening level
"That is some serious Klaus-level threats," Caroline said to Bonnie laughing a little at it
"I would dare" he whispered it like a secret to his already gasping like a fish-out-of-water sister
"Wow it is like watching a suspense thriller but you already know what is the end of the whole thing," Kol said in a way of solving great mysteries
"Do tell me what is it?" Elijah asked back
"That the whole thing will just backfire for the dude" Rebakah answered before Kol could
"See sister is catching up you better catch up too old guy" Kol smiled his iconic playful smile
Stephanie stared at him for a while before shutting down that shocked face and breaking down in fits of laughter which just confused the Salvatore brother.
"Why are you laughing," he asks with an incredulous tone in his voice
"See I told you" Kol looked back at Elijah
"I know for a fact mom put you up on 'be nice to Stephanie because it's her birthday duty," the Salvatore sister said back, stopping her laughter partially
"That sure sounds like something Elena would definitely do," Bonnie said to Caroline
Caroline graciously nodded her head to go with it.
"Now give me my gift you moron" Stephanie's expression turned from happy to a deadpan serious
"No"
"I will tell mom you got kidnapped" Stephanie bit back
"What they are not just gonna tell me anything about the fight or the kidnapping" Elena just asked no one in particular
"Maybe your just still a bitch in the future and your kids just don't want to tell you anything because you know you are still a bitch" Rebekah responded with snark in her tone and a smirk on her face
"Fuck. You." Alex said with a dramatic bit of gritting his teeth and an 'irritated' voice
"This is for you" is what all he said before throwing his sister a velvety box which of course Stephanie caught with ease because she is just awesome like that
Well, that was what she just thought
As soon as she opened it Stephanie was taken by awe.
It was the most beautiful piece of necklace with a sapphire on it.
"Hey Damon when was the last time you bought me a gift," Stephan asked his dear brother
"Why? Do you want a necklace too" Damon responded with a roll of his eyes
"How about your car," Stephan asked knowing that it would get on his nerves
"Well too bad for you because I am giving it to my screen daughter" Damon could have practically snarled at this point
"You could give it to me" Stephan tried
"Nope. I care about my car too much to give it to a peasant like you" Damon swiftly ended the conversation
"Is this for me?" she asked looking back at his brother gratitude changing her expression from the sibling banter happening a min ago
Alex just smiled a moment before he grabbed the necklace out of her hands and said "Well seeing it's your birthday so I thought that the reason was obvious enough but now I think I should have ordered you some common sense instead"
"Shut the fuck up"
He swore if Stephanie rolled her eyes one more time those balls were getting stuck up in her hollow and dead brain
"Well turn around I have to put it on you," he said strongly turning around Stephanie and putting the necklace on her
"Thanks, dude" Stephanie's smile was a confusing mix of happiness and snarky bitch
"Wow sacrifice 2 months' worth of allowance and all I get is thanks dude" Alex's face got into a scowl immediately
"Bro has got real struggles," Kol said in a melancholic version
"Ah-ha" Stephanie crossed her arms in a manner Regina George would be put to shame
"Whatever dude," he said walking away and flipping her off
"Real mature Alex Jeremy Salvatore" Stephanie said a smirk gracing her face again

Lexi loved Eleanor.
Ok, shit that came out wrong.
What she meant was in a platonic with a capital P love
Without Ele it would be hard for Lexi to be where she was right now, and she was hell grateful for it
And now she worried that ever since the Landon incident and the with whole shit with Malivore and monsters Eleanor would freak the fuck out for Hope
Eleanor was protective like that she guessed
"Would you just stop pacing Ele you are giving me vertigo" Lexi's Russian accent slipped on a little
Caroline was not saying she had predicted the Lexi girl to be Russian or German but boy did that accent just prove her right.
She just high-fived herself internally.
Well, even though she was somehow a kid of a vampire.
Now, that she comes to think of it even Stephanie, Alex and Eleanor were also the kids of vampires.
Weird how no one was questioning it.
"No no no no" Eleanor practically shouted
"Boy she has been gifted with Nik's voice box" Kol's sarcasm graced the Mikaelsons family again for like the 100th time in the last ten minutes
"No is not doing the favor here love," Lexi said in a semi reasoning semi-sarcastic voice
"All the time I see her on screen I just keep getting convinced that somehow she is another daughter of Damon" Alaric spoke to both Stefan and Damon
"No she just doesn't seem like one of my kids" Damon replied with a lot of thought
Damon shuddered or maybe the word should be a little overwhelmed whenever he thought of 'his' kids.
"No you don't understand the point here" Eleanor quipped stopping her pacing march for a little while
"Do pray and tell honey" Lexi said sitting up from her position
"See now that Hope has discovered something called a Malivore which is a hell of a name, to be honest, I have to find it and destroy it, and then I don't know save every person from monsters that they will surely encounter from now on in this school" Eleanor replied somehow managing to say the whole paragraph of a line in one breath which Lexi found terrifying and awesome at the same time
"Wait a minute what the fuck is a Malivore and what monsters" Rebekah halted everyone from watching more of the scene
"Yeah what is all about getting attacked," Hayley asked joining in a conversation for like the first time
"What is even going on in this school" Elena chimed in like
Don't get her wrong but she would be damned in the future if anything happened to her kids.
"This is just fucking annoying bro" Damon groaned
He was just tired at this point from all the shit going on.
And he was not only talking about the future.
"Hey if the person who decided to lock us all up here and make u see the future and also give someone food if asked" Stefan started with a thoughtful look as if had just discovered a new plant
"Then they can answer whatever shitty ass shit is going on over there" Bonnie finished
"Felt like I was getting to the point but whatever" Stefan mumbled which just was collectively and silently decided to be ignored
"Maybe we can ask the voice who introduced us to the whole fiasco," Davina said
"I totally agree with the pretty and also smart girl over there," Kol said agreeing with Davina
Everyone just gave him looks but moved on fast
"Yeah I agree with Davina here but how do we even talk to this voice, power whatever it is," Freya asked everyone
Kol was just happy to get the name of that definitely pretty and also smart girl's name.
"See I don't want to be the person suggesting it because it's dumb but we could look up to the ceiling and you know try to talk to it" Caroline winced as if it physically hurt her to suggest that very idea
"I am not talking to a ceiling like a crazy person even though I have been called one a lot of times," Rebekah said almost instantly
She in no hell would even consider doing that preposterous idea and also prove it to those who called her crazy.
What if they set up the whole situation shit they were in right now from the other side?
What will even hurt if they did not know about something called Malivore and life-threatening monsters?
Right?
"Yeah so you have a better idea," Caroline asked
She knew how weird her idea was but she would rather pluck her eyeballs out than agree with Rebekah Mikeaslon in one go.
"Better than yours"
And thus began the row of a bitter fight between the two blondes.
Slowly everyone started to side with either of the two blondes while equally trying to dampen down the argument going on in the room
And somehow it shifted from Caroline and Rebekah to Damon for some reason challenging Niklaus which is just dumb to be really honest.
"Oh my god would you just stop" an unknown person just spoke up suddenly
Everyone quietened downed and looked at each other.
"Yes I am the voice you fuckers were talking about," the voice said irritation clearly flashing in her well, voice
"Wait so you could hear us the whole time," Stefan asked in a skeptical yet exhausted tone
"Yeah I could hear all of you motherfuckers" the voice clearly still irritated
"And you didn't think to interrupt us the whole time," Elijah said joining the skeptical yet exhausted team
"Well at first I wanted to see all the brainstorming ideas you bitches could get but that surely escalated fast enough to a cat fight and then a dog fight which just gave me a fucking headache AND I AM JUST A VOICE " the voice replied shouting the last part with force
"Well if you are so upset why didn't you just stop us when we were fighting," Elena asked her voice kind of getting defensive
Which was totally normal for someone who had just threatened Rebekah Mikaelson.
"I tried 2 times you fucking moron, 2 times but you dickweeds were too fucking loud," the voice said
"Well she is kind of mean" Kol whispered to Elijah
"SHUT UP KOL," the voice said in return
Kol just shuddered as it heard him from like a mile away
This is what other people feel when a vampire hears them talking and then gets called out by the said vampire in question.
"Ok nowto listen up what I am about to tell you fuckers because I ain't returning here for like an hour or two because of the headache you bastards gave me"
"So now Malivore is......" the voice started
That was another session of questions and answers about Malivore, monsters, and threatened schools.
"Now I hope that all is clarified because I ain't gonna respond the next time you people call me" the voice finally concluded
"Adios bitches"
"Wow I never thought I would say this but fuck there are shits we don't know about" Klaus spoke up first
"I am still doe-eyed because of the whole information dump and I am not even Elena," Rebekah said trying to lighten the whole room vibe
"Yeah I think we should continue the scene before everyone forgets whatever it was all about " Hayley started
"Just to rewind it was that Russian girl and Eleanor talking and the last scene being Eleanor talking faster than the flash running," Damon asked
"How do you even know fla...." Caroline started to question
"You know what how about we take a break next time and clarify who knows who," Freya said cutting Caroline off
There was not so much that could keep Freya's patience right now.
Everyone just synonymously agreed.
"You do understand that even Hope can find a way and kill this asshole of a blackhole shit," Lexi said moving her hands in a weird and dramatic to make a point
"That is just poetry at its weakest level" Kol joked
"Shut up," Elijah said exasperatedly to the highest level
"First of all, you stop doing poetry over here" Eleanor made a scowling face which Lexi was not sure how she made because God help, she couldn't whip out a meaner scowl face than that bitch
"And second of all, some students get hurt or worse dead or better what if she gets a stupid idea or makes a mistake which would just cause a whole lot of problems we do not want to talk about" Eleanor's voice rang out of control freakiness
"Yeah now she cares" Elena mumbled under her breath
"Watch your mouth or I will kill you bitch" Rebekah threatened back
And this whole line just summed up why she suggested therapy but NOOOOOO, who wants to listen to Lexi?
"Yeah so let her make mistakes we all are here to change or even make it right" Lexi tried to tamper down Ele's panic
"Wow what great reasoning" Alaric tried to joke which just Stefan might have not found amusing because his response contained a little harsh tone "Shut up Ric no one found it very funny"
"Oooh defensive" Alaric tried to look at Damon for support
He was just signaling him to stop so he just shut up which was good for everyone there because Stefan did not look like a friendly person right now.
Look it was not the best of ideas for reasoning, but Lexi had to do something before Ele did something so drastic that it would ruin Steph's day or just have an Eleanor Mikaelson breakdown which was also a drastic shit, to be honest
"See that is not a good reasoning, anyways here you also don't seem to understand that the last time she made a mistake our parent's di...." she bit back down her words before she could say it all out
Everyone knew how that sentence ended.
Especially Hayley right now
"Wait a minute I died" she shouted
"What the fuck is wrong with this fucking universe," Hayley said in a hurried tone
"No wonder they are in that school"
"I would never let them go to a school as that" Hayley continued with that same voice
"Now we know where that ginger's state of voice came from," Kol said to Elijah
"Not the time Kol" instead Hayley shouted back
"Ok she is scary too" Kol sighed
"I am sorry for your loss I guess but the scene kind of has to go on" Bonnie tried
"Well then go on because I will just cry to myself very quietly if that doesn't bother anyone" Hayley lashed out at the Bennet witch
Freya and Davina just moved to comfort a very angry and confused Hayley.
Everyone gave each other worried looks but moved on from that quickly too.
Lexi's reaction was not as surprising as everyone or she would like to believe
She knew that somewhere Ele did blame Hope as the tiniest factor for her parents to be dead.
Lexi did not judge her because even someone like the tough Eleanor Mikaelson had got some emotions and for god's sake, she was just another teen like everyone here was.
Not some kind of 'people saving' witch.
So, Lexi never judged when she lashed out.
"Whatever man relax you are going to Steph's birthday party anyways today" Lexi bought out another bomb for reasoning completely ignoring what Ele was about to say
"What is your point," Ele asked, her voice going back down to normal a little bit
"Look all you have to do today is party, drink, and maybe just have some sex, and later when we return you can just go back to worrying and fussing, and for a better point, we will have Stephanie with us too," Lexi said finally happy for this whole fiasco to temporarily die down
"That might be the best or the worst advice ever "Caroline whispered to a nodding Bonnie
"I hate when you walk on eggshells around me when I get like this" Eleanor was tired at this point and just decided to sit alongside Lexi
"I am not walking on eggshells I was just reasoning over here" Lexi spoke up moving her position to side-hug the shit out of her best friend
"Well still not a good enough reason for me to act out"
"Maybe you could try therapy like I suggested countless times before" Lexi tried one more time
"Yeah, if everyone sitting here just went to therapy once in a while, we would have a lot fewer problems," Bonnie said, speaking to everyone and to no one in particular at the same time
"Or I could go and tell Hope all the things she could do to keep herself safe since she is not going to the party," Eleanor said her energy coming back in an instant and pulling out of the side hug she still was in
Lexi tried.
Really, she did.
But that ginger bitch jumped up from the bed and practically ran to tell her sister on how to keep herself out of danger 101.
"I will be back in 2 mins" Eleanor was already gone at this point
"She is not gonna be back in 2 mins" Kol silently murmured to Nik
Klaus just rolled his eyes and just said "Yeah we know that Kol"
Lexi took a deep breath in and just sighed.
"Why do I even try at this point"

Not much to say but I just want to say
sorry for not updating for like 6 months
I just posted this on New Year's so that we all start it on a good note and with an updated story.

Another thing I want to share is my very controversial standpoint of Eleanor's perspective in her parent's deaths.
Just so you know that they were both teens around that time and still are. So, even though Eleanor tries to be tough there is a young part of her that is still innocent, and blames Hope for those deaths. I just want you to know that I didn't want to create any mc with full character development and this makes Eleanor more teen than her just blasting stuff.
I just hope you guys understand my opinion in this story arc.
