****LIVEYS POV****
Johnny and Two-bit got me early in the morning. I was all stitched up and I had a wicked uncomfortable thing wrapped around my arm. We piled into the car with Two-bit driving, me in the middle, and Johnny next to me. The radio was on and the windows were down and I was happy to be going home. We just sitting and tapping our feet to the music when my favorite song came on. I gasped. "Turn in up Two turn it up!!!!!!" I shouted. He chucked and blasted the music and we all screamed the words to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band as we pulled into the driveway. We walked inside all together.
"CLOVERS HOME!" Two-bit shrieked trying to sound like a girl. Everyone waddled into the living room and it was obvious that they'd just woken up. Two-bit and I started cracking up.
"Good ol' Clover Curtis is that you!?" Steve said feeling my face squeezing his eyes shut so he could act like he was blind. I stuck my tongue out and licked his hand. "AHHH!" He yelped like a four year old. Again Two-bit stated laughing.
"Yes it is ol' Stevie Randal!" I said kissing his cheek as everyone chuckled. I was greeted with hugs and kisses and laughter.

"Two-bit come with me." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him up. "DARRY IM GOING OUT WITH TWO!!" I yelled so everyone could hear.
"BE SAFE!!" Everyone yelled back in unison. We walked out the door together and started walking down the street.
"So why'd you take me out here?" Two-bit asked.
"Well. I haven't gotten to hang out with you that much since Johnny and I started dating and you're my best friend after all so I miss you!" I said.
Two-bit smirked. "Aweee," he said pretending to twirl his hair sound his finger. "I know what we can do..." He said already starting to laugh.
"What," I asked cracking a smile.
"School ends next week. Let's buy you a new blade. You can carry it around after school ends and then for the rest of next year. And tonight lets get some beers..." Two-bit suggested pausing slightly.
"LETS GO!!!" I yelled laughing. We ran to a small store and 'bought' some candy and a new blade. And by bought, I mean stole. Then, we went to another store and got a case of beers. We sat in the park until we finished the case and then stumbled home constantly cracking jokes.
"I had fun tonight Two. Thanks," I said kissing his cheek.
"No problem m'lady," he said kissing the back of my hand just as the day we'd met. Then we walked inside. Everything was almost silent except for some bickering but I figured it was the neighbors or something so I told Two-bit to sleep on the couch and then walked towards my room. That's when I saw Ponyboy sitting on the back deck.
"Pony?" I called quietly while walking outside.
He cleared his throat, "Yeah?" He said, his voice cracking in the middle of the word. I sat down next to him and looked at his tear stained face.
"What's wrong?" I said putting my arm around him.
"Nothing." He said wiping his face off.
"Well obviously something. Pone, you're crying. You can tell me." I said soothingly.
"Clover, you know I love you right?" He said practically choking on his own words.
"Of course!" I said grabbing him and hugging him. "Did someone say you didn't?"
"No." He paused. "Darry is just so harsh. All he does is holler at me and I have to run away if he does this again." He pointed to a small bruise on his hip. Darry probably shoved him.
I was so pissed off at my cousin. "Ponyboy he had no right to do that. Come on. You need some rest. You can stay with me." I said standing up with him. We walked into my room and he crawled into my bed. "I'll be back." I said waking out and towards the bickering which I now assumed as Darry and Sodapop. I whipped open the door. "HEY!" I yelled and they stopped. Soda looked awfully upset and Darry just looked enraged.
"Clove just go to bed," Sodapop said.
"No!" I said sternly walking up to Darry. Right there and then, I could have slapped him in the face. But I didn't. "You're being an awful jerk today huh? I can't believe you'd do that to Ponyboy! He's staying with me tonight. Now how bout y'all just shut up cause you're makin' the kid cry even more!" Soda looked ashamed. Darry did too though. I left the room with Soda and Darry got into bed. I looked at Soda and he was about to cry like Pony. I hugged him tight. "Wanna stay with me and Pone?" I asked cracking a smile like Two-bit's so he couldn't help but smile too. "Come on I said. We all crawled into my king bed. I was in the middle. I kissed Ponyboy's cheek.
"I'm sorry Pony," Sodapop said.
"It's okay Sodapop." Ponyboy retorted. Then, we all went to sleep.
----------one week later------------
RINGGGGGGG "SCHOOLS OUT!!!!" I yelled and everyone made a mad dash out of the building. Outside I met up with Two-bit and Johnny and Ponyboy. "The blade?" I asked Two-bit cockily. He smiled like an idiot and handed me the knife. I tucked it into the pocket of my high waisted shorts. "I'm goin' to get my hair done. Meet up later?" I asked. Everyone nodded and walked off.
~(at the hairdressers)~
"Gimme that stuff that makes my hair stay straight and the dark to light stuff." I said to the lady. I just was sick of not being able to do anything with my hair. And plus, I'd been saving all my money since my last birthday to do this.
"Okay. That'll be $275." The lady said. I payed up and sat in the chair. Goodbye ugly curls! I thought to myself. The process took a few hours and it was totally draining but since it was a half day it was only 2:39 when I was finished. I left a tip and tied my hair back and then put my orange bandanna back in. Then I started walking to the DX where I figured most of the guys would be. I was right. They were all there. Drinking cokes and beers, smoking cigarettes. I walked over to Two-bit and Johnny, "Gimme a puff," I said reaching for Johnny's cigarette. I usually don't smoke but every once in awhile On special occasions I take a puff or two. I took one drag and handed it back to Johnny.
"Clove, wanna see a movie tonight?" Johnny asked.
"Sure." I said smiling.
"Great. I'll get you at 6. We can get something to eat before." Johnny said.
"Okay! Sounds perfect." I said and kissed his cheek.
"Aye lovebirds!!" Steve yelled. "Time to close up so go make out somewhere else!" I stuck my tongue out at Steve and walked out with my arms around Johnny and Johnny's arm around me.
"Nice hair," Johnny whispered in my ear.
I giggled, "Don't I look hot?" I asked jokingly but with all seriousness he replied...
"Yes."
We all walked back home and I went to take a shower. I washed out my now multicolored hair with all this new product I bought. It was nice that it wasn't gonna curl back up for a while. Now I just need a job to keep up the payments. But hey, I got 10 months to rack up $225 since I don't need to redye my hair. I rung out my hair and then began to blow dry it. I was wearing high waisted pink shorts, black converse high tops and a black and white striped shirt. Then, I put on my makeup. I never wear much so it was quick. Just eyeliner, mascara, concealer, blush, and an occasional but of lipgloss. Once I was done that I curls my hair and I was ready to go! I twirled around once and my hair flowed out to my sides. I checked the time and it was exactly 5:56 so I brushed my teeth and walked out into the living room.
"Damn gorgeous!" Dally and Two-bit yelled in sync and I laughed.
Johnny opened the door and walked in. "Wholly sh- err, you look great." He said and his ears were already turning red.
"Let's go!" I said grabbing his hand. On my way out Two-bit tossed me my blade that I'd left on the couch cushion. "Thanks!" I said winking at him as we walked out the door.
"What was that?" Johnny asked.
"Don't worry about it." I said shoving him. We were at the Dingo by 6:15. We sat in a small booth across from each other. Boy would this be a great date. I adjusted my arm bandage thing and he scooted closer to me. He leaned over and gave me a good long kiss on the lips. When we broke off I put my head on his shoulder and sighed.
"What's wrong?" Johnny asked.
"Nothing. I'm just so blessed. I love you so much Johnny."
"I love you too." He said smiling.
The words replayed in my head over and over. I love you too...I love you too...I love you too...I love you too...
