I was currently looking for an outfit to wear for this date. Before my birthday party, Colby wants to take me out on a date.
All he said was to dress up so I was trying to find an outfit. Peyton was with me, trying to help a little bit.
She said she wanted to help with my hair so I told her she could. We eventually found a black dress I like.
It was a little tight but it showed my body off, which I liked. It went to my mid thigh and it showed my clevage.
I put it on, Peyton wolf whistling me in the process. Once it was on, I started working on my make up.
I wasn't going to make it overboard. When I was done with that, she started working on my hair.
"Are you nervous?" She asked making conversation. I sighed while thinking about it.
"I've been on dates with him before. I feel like this one's going to be different." I admit to her.
I could see her smile through the mirror. "Like he could tell you he loves you." She cooed.
I started smiling at myself at the thought of him loving me. "You think he loves me?" I ask her curiously.
"Of course. I can tell by the way he looks at you." I don't think I've ever noticed that before.
"I think fate brought us together." I speak up. She looks at me surprised knowing I said that.
She knows that I was never a big believer in fate or destiny, so the fact that I'm saying that out loud is a big deal.
"I think so too. You're so much happier when he's around." She noticed. She was right though.
Colby's made me a little happier these past few months. He's my sweet escape.
"He's different." I tell her. She works on my hair, straightening it. Once it's done, I couldn't help but look at myself.
I almost couldn't recognize myself. "You look hot." She complimented causing me to laugh a little bit.
I heard footsteps come in causing me to look. Colby was standing at my doorway, staring at me.
He had on black dress pants with a black button up shirt. He honestly looked really good right now.
"Can you two not have eye sex right in front of me?" Peyton asked pulling me out of my thoughts.
I clear my throat before speaking up. "You look really good." I compliment him. The ends of his mouth curved up.
"So do you. You look more than good, gorgeous honestly." I blushed at his words.
Peyton was looking in between the both of us while we stared at each other.
"You two should leave so you're not late." Peyton pushed. The three of us started heading towards the door.
"Have fun you two." She smiled as we walked out of the apartment.
Colby and I walk down to his car, hand in hand. We made small conversation in the way to the restaurant.
It was a cute little Italian restaurant. We walked in together, hand in hand. The hostess smiled over towards us.
"Hello, how can I help you?" She asked when we went over towards her. "I have a reservation for two under Brock." He spoke.
She types something in her computer and nods. "Yes, right this way." She grabs two menus and takes us to our table.
We thank her while we sit down at the table. We skim through the menus, trying to find something to eat.
We ordered our food and gave the menus back to the waiter. "I really like this place." I say while looking around.
We were sitting outside on the back patio. The whole thing was lit up by string lights.
I just can't believe I've never been here before. "I figured you would. I love this place." He admits to me.
I look back at Colby and look into his ocean blue eyes. Every time I look into his eyes, I could feel myself start to soften up.
"Colby, I'm in love with you." I blurt out. He looked at me in shock, like he wasn't expecting it.
I can't read his face, and for a moment, I feel like I fucked up. I swallowed my pride and averted my eyes.
"I'm sorry, it just came out. If you don't feel the same, it's okay. I don't know-" He stopped me from talking by shushing me.
I looked at him with confusion on my face. "I'm in love with you too." I couldn't help but smile when he said those words to me.
"Really?" I ask scrunching my nose. He nodded his head towards me.
"Yes, really. I realized it whenever we were at IHop for the first time." He realized it a lot sooner than I did.
I couldn't help but smile towards him. "I realized when you came back from Ukraine." I start out.
"I missed you so much, it was honestly amazing having you back." I admit to him.
I'm so happy I could get this off my chest and we could talk about it.
The rest of dinner, I felt like I was in euphoria. We ate our food and talked about our feelings for each other.
As we sat there and ate, someone came out and started playing music. When we started to finish, they played a cover of a song.
I realized it was Ease My Mind by Ben Platt. Colby stood up from his chair and came over to me,
He stuck his hand out, reaching for my hand. "Can I have this dance?" I nodded my head while taking his hand.
I stand up, wrapping my arms around his neck. He wraps his arms around my lower back, pulling me closer if that was possible.
As we swayed to the music, I listened to the lyrics. This song reminds me of Colby.
Just like the chorus, Colby came out of nowhere and cut through all the voices in my head.
Whenever I was upset on fathers day, he was the one who came and talked me through it.
I don't know how he does it, but he's only one who can ease my mind to all that stuff.
There's another part of the song I relate to, I was afraid to show him how much of a mess I was.
And when I did, he never left me. That's how I know he's the one.
I move my head up and look up into his eyes. I reach up, placing my lips onto his.
This kiss was different from the others. There was still electricity when our lips touched.
After a minute, we had to pull away for air. "You wanna go back to the apartment?" I ask him.
He had already paid and the apartment was empty. The girls are having a night over at Kat's.
Sam and Nolan are hanging out while Zander and Luke are at the bar.
"Of course." He took my hand and took me out to the car. I'm surprised he wasn't pulled over with how fast he was going.
When we get to the apartment, I instantly tore my shoes off. Colby and I go into my room, shutting the door and locking it.
Colby sits on my bed while I join him. I straddle his lap, cupping his face. I started kissing his lips, him instantly kissing me back.
After a minute, I move down to his jawline and onto his neck. I found his soft spot, and started sucking.
He leaned his head back, moaning in the process. I would be dead wrong if I said that it wasn't hot.
I could feel his bulge rise up as I sucked and pulled his hair. When I pulled away, he was looking at me softly but with hungry eyes.
"Are you sure about this, Ashton?" He asked causing me to smile. I glance to see the hickey on his neck already forming.
"I've never been so sure about anything." He smiled for a moment and crashed his lips onto mine.
The rest of the night was magical. It was amazing seeing Colby in the state he was.
I've had sex before, but it was nothing compared to that. When I woke up the next morning to Colby rubbing circles on my collerbone, I smiled.
All the memories came flooding back as I looked at him. His neck, along with mine, has hickeys all over it.
"You look really hot with those hickeys on your neck." I admit to him. He laughed a little bit as he looked at me.
"I was gonna say the same about you." He flirted back. I've never felt so connected to a person before.
And I'm happy it was with Colby.
