Episode 1. Tourist Trapped

"Ah, summer break."

Hank was grilling burgers while Shmipper and Smabble are running around and laughing beside him.

Others sit at a picnic table.

"So you want cheese on that, hon?" Hank asked his wife. "Sure, Hank." She replied

"A time for leisure, recreation, and taking 'er easy..."

Now we see the "Welcome to Gravity Falls" sign.

"Unless you're me."

Mabel and Dipper Pines crash through the "Welcome to Gravity Falls" sign with the Mystery Cart, screaming.

"Aaaah!!!" They were being chased by an unknown monster, which was knocking down trees behind them.

Mabel looks back. 'It's getting closer!"

The monster growls and tries to catch the cart but just falls short. The cart flies off a rock and lands roughly.

"My name is Dipper. The girl about to puke is my sister Mabel. You may be wondering what we're doing in a golf cart, fleeing from a creature of unimaginable horror."

The monster grabbed a hold of a tree, pulled it out of the ground, roots and all, and threw it in their path.

"Look out!" Mabel screamed, pointing ahead towards the tree.

The image of Mabel and Dipper screaming as they run into the screen is shown.

"Rest assured, there's a perfectly logical explanation.."

"Let's rewind."

Flashback to Dipper and Mabel in their livingroom at their home.

"It all began when our parents decided we could use some fresh air."

Thier parents take their stuff away, giving them travel bags and putting some sunscreen on their noses.

"They shipped us up north, to a sleepy town called Gravity Falls, Oregon. To stay at our great-uncle's place in the woods."

Mabel was up in the attic, hanging up posters on her side of the wall.

"This attic is amazing. Check out all my splinters!" Mabel holds up her hands, which had gigantic splinters sticking out of them.

Dipper backed up into his bed, which Gompers, the goat, is on.

"And there's a goat on my bed."

"Hey, friend." Mabel said, walking up to the goat and held out her arm. Gompers chews on her sleeve.

"Oh! Yes, you can keep chewing on my sweater." She laughed.

"My sister tended to look on the bright side of things." Cue Mabel rolling down a hill of grass.

"Yay! Grass!" Mabel cheered. While a woodpecker pecks on Dipper's hat.

"But I was having a hard time getting used to our new surroundings."

Stan jumps out from the side of a tree. "Boo!"

"Ah!" Dipper screamed and fell over.

Stan takes off the weird water monster like mask.. "Ahahahaha! Hahaha!" He cackled.

"And then there was our Great Uncle Stan." Stan slaps his knee. "That guy."

While Stan was laughing, he started coughs several times and hits his chest to try and stop it from continuing. "It was worth it."

Stan was leading tourists through the Mystery Shack.

"Our uncle had transformed his house into a tourist trap he called 'The Mystery Shack.' The real mystery was why anyone came."

The Jackalope's antler breaks off a few feet away.

"Ladies and gentlemen, behold! The Sascrotch!" Stan dramatically exclaimed, gesturing his arms toward a Sasquatch wearing underwear.

The tourists started speaking excitedly, snapping pictures of the bizarre attraction.

Dipper was sweeping the wooden floor with a broom. While, Mabel is looking at the merchandise.

"And guess who had to work there."

"Ooh!" Mabel reached for the large eyeball before having her hand slapped by Stan's 8-ball cane. "No touching the merchandise!"

Meanwhile, Soos was driving the Mystery Cart back to the Mystery Shack.

"It looked like it was going to be the same boring routine all summer, until one fateful day..."

Mabel was peeking through some Stan-bobbleheads.

"He's looking at it! He's looking at it!" She quietly squealed. A boy was looking at Mabel's note.

"Uh.. 'Do you like me? Yes? Definitely? Absolutely!!!' ?" The boy worriedly looked around.

"I rigged it!" Mabel smiled happily.

Dipper, who was spraying a jar with water and wiping it, looked at her. "Mabel, I know you're going through your whole 'Boy Crazy' phase, but I think you're kind of overdoing it with the 'crazy' part."

"What?" Mabel blew a raspberry. "Come on, Dipper! This is our first summer away from home! It's my big chance to have an epic summer romance!"

"Yeah, but do you need to flirt with every guy you meet?"

(No time for a Flashback)

"Mock all you want, brother, but I got a good feeling about this summer. I wouldn't be surprised if the man of my dreams walked through that door right now." Mabel confidently pointed towards a doorway which lead to the museum.

Stan walked through the doorway which Mabel was pointing at and burps, it gets caught in his throat. "Oh! Oh, not good. Ow."

"Oh! Why!" Mabel cringed. Dipper laughed at her luck.

"All right, all right, look alive, people. I need someone to go hammer up these signs in the spooky part of the forest." Stan said while holding up a few arrow signs, one of which had the words "ENTER!"

Dipper and Mabel quickly raised their fingers, "Not it!" They both said.

Soos, who was drilling in another shelf raised his free hand, "Uh, also not it."

"Nobody asked you, Soos." Stan stared at the poor handyman.

"I know, and I'm comfortable with that." Soos said before taking a bite out of a chocolate bar.

"Wendy, Y/n, I need you two to put up this sign!" Stan calls out to the two girls who were reading a magazine at the cash register.

Wendy pretended to reach for signs while you stared at him for a split second, before returning your attention back to the magazine. "I would, but I... uhh... can't... uhh... reach it..." You smiled at her acting.

Stan deadpanned at this. "I'd fire all of you if I could... All right, let's make it... eenie, meenie, miney..." He points towards Dipper. "you."

"Aw, what? Grunkle Stan, whenever I'm in those woods, I feel like I'm being watched." Dipper tried to reason while looking towards his left.

"Ugh, this again." Stan pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I'm telling you, something weird is going on in this town. Just today, my mosquito bites spelled out 'BEWARE.'" Dipper lifted what up his sleeve on his right arm, holding his arm out for Stan to see.

Stan looked at Dipper's arm with squinted eyes. "That says 'BEWARB.'" Dipper looks down and scratches his arm. "Look, kid. The whole 'monsters in the forest' thing is just local legend, drummed up by guys like me to sell merch to guys like that." Stan gestured to a  fat, sweaty man, who was  laughing while looking at a Stan-bobblehead's head bobble.

"So quit being so paranoid!" Stan throws the signs to Dipper. Dipper sighed.

Dipper was now in a foggy forest, with trees getting blown by the wind, along with the wind whistling.

"Ugh, Grunkle Stan. Nobody ever believes anything I say." Putting up one sign up on a tree that says "To The Mystery Shack."

He starts to hammer a nail on another tree trunk, but it makes a metallic sound. He looks between the hammer and the trunk in confusion..

Putting his ear up against the tree, he taps the tree once more with the hammer, which makes more metallic sounds.

He puts a hand on the tree, sliding it against the trunk, wiping away some dust and opens a secret window revealing a mechanical box with two control switches on top.

He tests one control but nothing happens. Then he tries the other. Behind him, a hole opens up in the ground. Gompers the goat bleats and runs away from the noise.

"What the?" He looks inside the hole, and finds that there is a book. He picks the book up, blowing away the dust and places it on the ground, looking around to see if anyone was watching.

Guess he didn't look hard enough.

He flips one page and an eye-glass is in it. He examins the eye-glass and puts it down. Flipping to another page, and begins reading aloud.

"'It's hard to believe it's been six years since my partner and I began studying the strange and wondrous secrets of Gravity Falls, Oregon.'" Dipper flips through a few pages. "What is all this?" He stops at a page that says 'TRUST NO ONE' and starts reading aloud once again.

"'Unfortunately, our suspicions have been confirmed. We're being watched. I must hide this book before he finds it. Remember: in Gravity Falls there is no one you can trust.'" Dipper closes the journal and looks ahead in thought.

"No one you can trust..."

Both, you and Mabel jump up behind the log, behind Dipper. "HELLO!", "Boo.."

Successfully scaring Dipper, his hold on the journal fumbles before he securely hugged it to his chest. "AH!"

"What'cha readin', some nerd thing?" Mabel asked in curiosity. "Yeah, whatcha got there, Dipper?" You eyed him, wondering if he actually had it.

Dipper, in a panic. Hides the journal behind his back. "Uh... uh... it’s nothing!" His eyes darts around, not looking either of you in the face.

Mabel imitates Dipper, waving her hands around in mock panic. "'Uh-uh... it’s nothing!'" The both of you laughed. "What? Are you actually not gonna show me?"

Gompers nibbles at the edge of the journal.

"Uhhh..." Dipper glances at Gompers and you. "Let's go somewhere private."

Back at the Mystery Shack.. Dipper, Mabel and you, are in the living room.

(Time of the episode is 6:07, wow..)

"It's amazing! Grunkle Stan said I was being paranoid, but according to this book, Gravity Falls has this secret dark side." Dipper opens the journal, showing off a page to the two of you.

"Whoa! Shut. Up!" Mabel playfully pushes Dipper.

"And get this! After a certain point, the pages just.. stop, like the guy who was writing it... mysteriously disappeared."He smiled at the thought of a mystery. You were about to say something until the doorbell rang.

"Who's that?" Dipper asked.

Mabel blushed for a bit, "Well, time to spill the beans." She knocks over a can of empty beans on the skull table.

"Boop. Beans. This girl's got a date! Whoo whoo!" She falls backwards, accidentally lading on you laughing.

"Let me get this straight: in the half hour I was gone, you already found a boyfriend?" He put in one free hand on his hip, a questioning stance.

Mabel sits upright, "What can I say? I guess I'm just IRRESISTIBLLLLE!" She moves her head from side-to-side, wiggling her sleeves like they were snakes.

Laughing softly, you rubbed her head as the doorbell rang twice. "Oh! Coming!" Mabel ran towards the door.

As Mabel ran out, Dipper walked toward the chair, looking at you. Silently asking if he could sit down. Nodding your head, you scooted over, allowing him to sit down properly.

Just as Dipper opens the Journal, Stan walks in. And sees the two of you.

"What'cha reading there, slick?" While Dipper frantically hid the Journal and grabbed of of Stan's magazine's, Stan looked at you and nodded his head. You nodded right back.

"Oh!" Dipper threw the book behind the seat cushion and grabbed a magazine. "I was just catching up on, uh... Gold Chains For Old Men Magazine?" He looked at the cover with skepticism.

"That's a good issue." Leaned over from behind you, on the side of the chair, to look at the magazine.

Mabel walks in with Norman and stands at the doorway. "Hey, family! Say hello to my new boyfriend!"

"'Sup?" A very pale, kind of dirty looking teenager with a ripped hood, smiled at all of you. Holding a hand up.

You gave a stone cold face, and glared at him.

"Hey..." Dipper also held up a hand.

"How's it hangin'?" Pointed at the new guy with a finger gun.

Norman was avoiding eye contact with you, looking around the Shack instead.

"We met at the cemetery. He's really deep." Mabel held his arm, before letting out a surprise gasp. "Oh. Little muscle there. That's...what a surprise..."

Dipper squinted his eyes at the scene, "So, what's your name?"

"Uh... Normal... MAN!" He was starting to sweat a bit from your gaze. There only time he could breathe was when Mabel looked toward you all.

"He means 'Norman.'" Mabel hugged his arm.

"Are you bleeding, Norman?" Dipper pointed towards the red liquid that was now dripping down Norman's face.

"It's jam." Norman replied, eyes wide.

Mabel gasped, "Oh! I love jam! Look at this!" She moved her hands between herself and Norman.

Norman looked at Mabel and spoke with his obviously fake deep voice. "So, you wanna go hold hands or... Whatever?"

Mabel blushed, "Oh! Oh, my goodness." As she giggled. "Don't wait up!" Mabel quickly runs out, with Norman sloppily following behind her. By that I mean running into walls because of how nervous he was.

"There was something about Norman that wasn't right. I decided to consult the journal..."

Dipper was now in the attic, sitting on a window nook, the window tinted red, adding beautiful color from the light.

"Known for their pale skin and bad attitudes these creatures are often mistaken for... teenagers?! Beware Gravity Falls's nefarious..." He gasped, looking at the journal page on The Undead.

The picture of the zombie becomes Norman in Dippers mind. "'Sup?"

"ZOMBIE!" Dipper yelled, the word 'zombie echoing throughout the building.

Meanwhile Stan was in the bathroom.

"Did somebody say 'cromby'? What is that, 'cromby'? That's not even a word. You're losing your mind." He looks at himself through the mirror with wide eyes.

Dipper looks out the window to see Norman walking towards Mabel with outstretched arms while grunting and groaning.

"I like you." She smiles at him while sitting on a table, kicking her legs back and forth.

"Oh, no! Mabel!" Dipper yelled, face practically smushed against the window.

"No, no, Mabel, watch out!" Dipper was sweating, worried for the wellbeing of his sister.

Norman grunts, putting his hands on Mabel's shoulders.

Dipper inhales sharply at this action, pressing his face against the glass, screaming.

Norman removes hands, revealing a flower necklace made out of Daisy's. He grunts gestureling towards the necklace, to show Mabel.

Mabel gasped, "Daisies? You scallywag..." she smiled at him.

Dipper relaxed, "Is my sister really dating a zombie, or am I just going nuts?" He questioned himself, putting a hand to his head.

Soos, who was screwing in a lightbulb, spoke to him. "It's a dilemma, to be sure." Dipper gasped, "I couldn't help but overhear you talkin' aloud to yourself in this empty room." Soos commented.

Dipper turned towards Soos, "Soos, you've seen Mabel's boyfriend. He's gotta be a zombie, right?"

"Hmm. How many brains didja see the guy eat?" Soos looked to Dipper with a confused face.

Dipper looked down in shame, "Zero."

Soos sighed, "Look, dude, I believe you. I'm always noticing weird stuff in this town. Like the mailman? Pretty sure that dude's a werewolf." Soos recalled the very hairy mailman from a while ago.

"But ya gotta have evidence. Otherwise, people are gonna think you’re a major league cuckoo clock." Soos pointed at Dipper with the red screwdriver that he used to fix the lightbulb with.

Dipper sighed once again and nodded his head, "As always, Soos, you’re right."

Soos tilted his head downward, shaking it slightly. "My wisdom is both a blessing and a curse."

"Soos! The portable toilets are clogged again!" Stan could be heard from somewhere else inside the Shack.

Soos moved his hat slightly, "I am needed elsewhere." As he slowly backed into a dark hallway.

"My sister could be in trouble. It was time to get some evidence."

Dipper was filming Mabel and Norman in the park.

Mabel throws a Frisbee at Norman, who instead of catching it, falls over.

Dipper stops looking through camera and frowns at the sight Norman was in.

Norman was stalking to a door, with the sound of zombie-like grunting, pushes through the window of the door. Breaking the glass, shuffling his hand around, and finally grabbing hold of the door handle and opening it to let Mabel in.

Norman stumbles around and crashes, trying to follow Mabel. Dipper looks out from behind a menu.

Mabel and Norman are frolicking in a field. Running about.

Norman accidentally falls into an open grave, and crawls out, hand first, screaming like a zombie.

Both Mabel and Norman pause at this little scene, and laugh.

Dipper frowned, camera still in hand, recording the two of them, "I'd seen enough."

Now in Mabel and Dipper's room. Mabel was brushing her hair while Dipper entered the shared room.

"Mabel. We've gotta talk about Norman." Dipper frowns, putting his hands on his hips.

"Isn’t he the best? Check out this giant smooch mark he gave me!" Mabel smiled, turning her head to show her cheek, which had a big, red, spot on it.

Dipper jumped, screaming at the sight of the indeed, big

Mabel laughed at his reaction, "Ha, ha! Gullible. It was just an accident with the leaf blower."

"That was fun" was all she said.

"No, Mabel, listen! I’m trying to tell you that Norman is not what he seems!" Dipper pulled out the Journal from his jacket.

Mabel gasped, thinking of what her brother might be insinuating, "You think he might be a vampire? That would be so awesome!"

"Guess again, sister. SHA-BAM!" Dipper showed her a paged from the Journal, which had the picture of a gnome on it.

"Agh!" Mabel cringed at the thought, visibly grossed out.

Dipper who noticed her reaction looked at the paged, "Oh, wait. I'm-I'm sorry..." he flips a few pages until he lands on the Undead page. "Sha-bam!"

"A zombie? That is not funny, Dipper." Mabel cocked her head to the side, she looked at Dipper with anger.

(The time is 10:25 on the episode, I might cut it in half, since Y/n isn't really needed as of right now.)

Dipper closes the Journal and puts it back in his jacket, "I’m not joking! It all adds up: the bleeding, the limp. He never blinks! Have you noticed that?"

"Maybe he’s blinking when you’re blinking."

"Mabel, remember what the book said about Gravity Falls? 'Trust no one!'" He whispers the last part.

Mabel held a hand on her chest, "What about me, huh? Why can't you trust me?"

About a second later, she puts two, yellow, star shaped earrings on her ears, "Beep-bop!"

Dipper shook Mabel by her shoulders, frantically yelling, "Mabel! He's gonna eat your brain!"

Mabel pushes him away with a mad expression on her face, "Dipper, listen to me. Norman and I are going on a date at five o’clock, and I'm gonna be ADORABLE, and he's gonna be DREAMY," she pushes Dipper out of the room,

"Wait! But... but... but..." he stutters, as Mabel continues on with what she was saying before.

She held the door to their shared room, "And I am not gonna let you ruin it with one of your crazy CONSPIRACIES!" With one final shout, she slams the door, leaving Dipper to sit and lean on the door, worried.

It was almost time for Mabel to go out on her date with Norman, you knocked on the door three times, "It's me, Y/n. May I come in?"

You waited a few seconds before Mabel opened the door, looking around you to see if Dipper was there.

"He's not here, that I can assure you with." You give her a small smile.

Nodding in response, she wouldn't admit it, but she was nervous for her and Norman's date, what if something went wrong? Or what if Dipper tried to do something? Mabel couldn't help but worry.

Crouching down to her height, you set a hand on top of her head. "Now, Mabel. I know that you're mad at Dipper for how crazy or protective, he might be acting at the moment."

Fixing the wrinkles from her glittery sweater, you continued. "He is just worried for you, as am I. You are twelve years old, and you are his sister, nonetheless. No matter how weird or crazy he might become this summer, please do not forget."

You set a hand on her cheek, giving it a little pinch, "He loves you very much, and only wants your safety and happiness in mind."

Mabel was shocked at the amount of words you had spoken, the whole time she or her brother were there, you had only used at the maximum of ten words.

She smiled, nodding with much more enthusiasm as soon as she heard the clock chimed from downstairs. And also the sound of the doorbell ringing.

Standing up right, you swipe at any dirt on her sweater, "Now go on, you wouldn't want to be late." Mabel ran off to the door, "Coming!"

As soon as her footsteps faded away, your smile turned into a frown, gazing through the oddly shaped window, you looked at the forest.

"How long has it been since then?" You wondered, letting a sigh escape from your mouth.
