Ryu and Asta are chowing down saying they had to make a stop before heading back

Marx: yes and unfortunately because of some memory protection magic we haven't been able to get any info on there organisation but the wizard king believes that your anti magic sword can break the spell

Marx; oh your just here because the wizard king his interested about your new power that's been showing yo
Ryu: such a fanboy
Marx; yes he also believes that having you here will make sure they don't escape
Ryu; fair enough
They go into the prison room and find the wizard king
Julius: hi ryu and asta that was a great showing
Ryu: thanks sir
Asta: we'll promise to keep it up
Julius: I know you two must be tired but your the only ones who can help me with this
Ryu: you just want to see my new power
Julius: that's true but you also fought some of The strongest mages of the eye of the midnight sun and found and it's not that magic was it cool

They explain the magic

Ryu focuses for a bit and his arm suddenly turns a metallic obsidian black
Julius: wow so I understand that this power can be focused anywhere and enhances your power
Ryu: yup and I can put it in my sword to make it stronger and sharper

Julius: wow but I'm not sensing magic coming from it
Ryu: yeah I don't know about that
Julius: wow please investigate further
Ryu: well this has only happened once but
Julius: yes yes yes!
Ryu: I was able to sense my entire surroundings and the people in them sort of like ki but it has a wider range and it's much more powerful almost like I found sense the life signature
Julius: WOW! With two different powers there could be possibility for a third or fourth power
Ryu: no idea but I know this power is my ticket to becoming the strongest
Marx; hey calm yourselves both of you nows not the time
They go through with the plan
Asta taps the guys with his sword
Ryu: wow that's so cool doesn't diminish even after all this time
Julius: I know right
Marx: anyway
He invades the guys memories and finds what he needs and captains are called and of course julius geeks out again
The captains come down
Julius explains the eye of the midnight sun
Julius: now the juiciest tidbit is probably this
The traitor that cooperated with the eye of the midnight is one of you the magic knight captains
Ryu is shocked and many things start to flood through is brain
Yami - no way
Fuegoleon - no chance
Charlotte - no way
Rill - no way in hell
Jack - maybe but doubt it
Nozel - doesn't seem like him but there's a very small chance
Dorothy - probably not
William - definitely not
So that leaves the most likely suspect is
Ryu thunking: he's the reason Fuegoleon got hurt, he's the reason Leo currently depressed and is training so hard he might just die doing it, but why, why would of one the captains who've sworn to protect the kingdom turn traitor
Julius: alright who among us gathered here is the traitorous captain
Ryu: time to see if my theory was right

Gueldre: ridiculous what are you trying to say these two are theorists guilty of attacking the royal capital itself you would have to be crazy to believe anything they say I've never given anyone cause to doubt my loyalty

Nozel: is that all I've heard a great deal more a than a few
Rill: now way are guys serious
Ryu: yup everywhere I go I hear rumours about him

Ryu: for your information I'm the vice captain of the black bulls so I have almost as much authority as you

Yami: hey calm down why don't you let mushroom head use his fancy spell to take a peak inside that head of yours
Ryu: that's a good idea if you've been a good ham you'll have nothing to worry about but if not I'm sure your smart enough to figure that out
Marx: other than the stupid nickname and the weird threat I agree completely if you're truly innocent you should jump at the chance to prove it
Gueldre: well I... don't know
Ryu: wow hammys got shy all of a sudden
Charlotte: disgraceful gueldre
Nozel: such a betrayal is unforgivable it should be a capital offence
Asta: wait so you really are a traitor, you jerk! You betrayed your fellow captain
Gueldre runs away by turning invisible
Ryu: heh so no attack spells work while he's invisible , hey asta
Asta: yeah
Ryu: go and get him for us, use that new ki power we taught you
Asta: yes sir!
Asta chases him, rill catches him all as normal
Ryu: wow nice that was certainly interesting
Let's do a nice time skip to talking about the underwater temple
Asta, Ryu and Yami are currently in the wizard kings office thing (I don't know what it is)
Julius: I'm sorry for keeping you three I promise I won't detain you for much longer, it's a terrible feeling to be betrayed by someone who once fought beside you I sprinted at full speed to get where I am but as a result I may have made some mistakes along the way
Yami: did you keep us behind to tell us that because if so julius I gotta say you picked the wrong guys
Julius explains the magic stones
Julius: captives say the know the location of one of them
Yami: and where is it
Juliuus: the underwater temple in the strong magic region
Ryu: OH HECK YEAH
Asta: that makes sense, what are those again

He then says traitors may still be among us
Ryu: he's right this isn't going to be easy and we need to constantly be on guard
Now it's rime to see Ryu's backstory is flashback form because why not
Ryu was lying on a beach unconscious at the age of 8 but the first thing he saw was Yami
Yami: so kid let me guess you came from the land of the sun, where on a boat, capsized at now your here
Ryu: ugh it seems so and who are you
Yami: my name is yami and My story is similar to yours but now let's take you somewhere you can get help
Ryu was introduced to julius and started to trust him, he connected with Yami almost instantly and stayed by his side for the most part
Later on he mentioned he couldn't remember what his last name having already introduced himself as Ryu
So he chose the name sukihero as a way of honouring the one who saved him
He trained with Yami in the art of magic and swordsman ship as well as survival skills by throwing him into a forest full of dangerous beasts and throwing him down and canyon
Later on he met Leo and the vermillion family
Leo and Ryu where best friends and rivals the meant they met they would compete and play together all the time
There as one time where Ryu was staying the at vermilions for a bit while Yami was gone on a mission and Ryu was convinced to dye his hair orange and but it in the classic vermillion style
That lasted for about a year
When he was about 12 years old he met Vanessa who was about 18 and that caused them to have a younger brother older sibling relationship
Vanessa had a habit of brushing Ryu's long hair and styling it which kind of annoyed him but he put up with it because he liked Vanessa
Also he met gauche and gray who he had no relationship
Then there was luck when he was about 14 who loved to fight more than him and Leo
Next magna at the age of 13 who he became very close too developing another sibling like relationship
Then at the age of 14 he got the burn mark from Leo and magna commented saying it was very cool
finally at the age of 15 he got his grimoire and became an official member of the ball bulls and due to the current vice captains absence he was made the vice captain
And finally asta and Noelle
Also during the 8 years he two brothers one with long neat black hair and the other with long white hair
Lastly there as one make person with incredibly long and very very shaggy blue hair but these encounters are stories for another time
