Y/n: So...... this happened.
Y/n was shown tied up tight with chains, while dangling upside down, slowly being lowered to a barrel full of boiling hot water as all around him were shady looking thugs, smiling evilly!
Behind them all were a group of people being lead to another area of this place, all of them being children but with few old people mixed in as well as some Dagonian people.
They all look in fear especially a little girl who tripped, annoying one of them.
Thug: Oi! Girly get up!!
Little girl: Eeekk!!!
This frightens her as she started crying making them annoyed even more and the other people quickly consoles her, pleading for them to have mercy on the poor child which just amuses them.
Y/n could only watch in disappointment but there's a sharp glint in his eyes.
Leader: Good work boys! This calls for a feast of all those hard work we did!
His men cheered loudly as they raised their beers.
Y/n: Ooh can I join! A feast sounds delicious!
Leader: Oh you may join us, that is if you can get out of there! Or else you'll be the dinner for vermin's! Hahahahaha!!!
They all joined him in laughing as Y/n pouted.
How'd it come to this? Well it all started this morning....

Another snowy day in New Meridian.
A certain ninja nurse is seen jumping from building to building.
Valentine then stops on top a water tower, looking around the city and neighborhood she's in.
Valentine: So far no suspicious activity here....
She quickly move towards another building, carefully checking the vicinity for any suspicious activities around and liked she mentioned, so far none.
Valentine kept on moving, avoiding many peoples eyes as she stealthilymade her way around the city until suddenly she ended up in the park.
She stood on her feet on top of a tree, her warmth breath visible in this snowy day as she watches a few family spend their time playing in the snow.
Valentine eyed them, especially the kids playing around.
Valentine: Hmm, there's nothing here either.. no people that look like kidnappers in sight.
She as about to make her way out, not until she suddenly stop when she saw something... or someone.
Valentine: Is that...?
.....
Right in one of the park'swooden bench, there lies a certain lazybones, currently napping without a care in the world, despite the snow piling on him.
Valentine: -_-....
Y/n: ZzzZZzzzzZ......
Valentine: *Sighs* Unbelievable... Oi wake up!
She snaps her fingers at him a few times but doesn't seem to work. Seeing this she snaps it louder.
But...
Y/n: Amp!
Valentine: !?
Y/n suddenly chomp on her finger, well nibbled on it as he begins sucking it, seemingly dreaming.
This made Valentine extremely shock as she couldn't help but blush at Y/n sucking her fingers now
Valentine: H-Hey! Wake up!
Y/n then opens his eyes only to see a really fantastic view as he looks in a daze by it making Valentine sigh and giggles.
Valentine: Goddess, You awake yet sleeping beauty?
Y/n: Valentine?
Valentine: Heh good you're awake, now as much as I enjoyed this a bit, can you let go of my fingers honey?
Y/n confused looks at her said hand, with her fingers in his mouth still sucking as slowly he stops and lets go of it smiling sheepishly.
Y/n: S-Sorry..
Valentine: I-Its fine. That must have been dream of yours ey.
He then sat up, stretching his arms and legs as he looks around the place, bits of snow had piled up on him as he shakes them away.
Valentine: What are you doing here taking a nap? You're gonna catch a cold y'know.
Y/n: Huh I must have slept longer than I wanted to.. accidentally I mean hehe..
Valentine rolls her eye, she could only shake her head chuckling,
Y/n: What about you, what are you doing here?
Valentine: Im on patrol.
Y/n: Huh, I thought Last Hope don't do patrols and stuff?
Valentine: Hmm can't hurt to share but although you're wrong, us girls also do patrols y'know, like right now I'm doing recon, I was assigned here to find any useful information for tonight's girls night out.
Y/n looks a bit confused which Valentine sighs and explains it specifically in detail.
Last Hope were tasked to hijack, destroy and capture a Slave dealer that supposedly arrived in New Meridian a couple of weeks ago, few people already went missing which at first they thought of the Medici but turns out wasn't them, surprisingly.
So the first step they need to do some sneaking around, rumour has it, there was some human trafficking activities going around the city especially at the park, which one they don't know and there's gonna be an auction for slaves.
This of course caught the Egrets and ASG's attention as the Princess immediately put this mission an utmost importance to Last Hope.
After all they specialized in infiltration..... and taking care of "things" if need to be..
But first they needed to do recon to find information where it's being held.
And once they do that, they'll break in to save and destroy the place and if it comes to it... they'll have to "dispose" some things.
Valentine finished explaining but leaving the last part out, she looks to Y/n and sees him playing with his strings, shaping it which made her sigh.
Valentine: Were you even listening?
Y/n: Yeah I heard ya, it sounds too much work.. though it's not a surprise, after all this is New Meridian.
Valentine hearing this couldn't help but agree. This place was corrupted to the core!
Y/n: Mind if I tagged in on your patrol? It'll just be a moment, I was getting bored in patrolling alone.
The nurse/ninja thought about it and didn't see any harm, on the plus side, she can finally take this chance for a lone conversation with him!
Despite all these months working together under the same organization, they rarely interact with each other unless it's training or breaks.
Both were now walking around the park.
Valentine: So how are you finding your time with the ASG's? Are there no problems at all?
Y/n: Oh so far I'm enjoying it.
Valentine: I see, glad to hear that. I've also heard you befriended Carol, is that true?
Y/n: Oh! Yeah that's true although she might be uncomfortable but still, at least we're friends now!
Valentine smiles behind the mask hearing this.
Valentine: That's good to hear, Mother goddess knows that girl is too introverted... But I heard she also reunited with her best friend as well which also turns out to be one of your girlfriends~ You're quite the lucky charm ain't ya~ Two long awaited reunions is really impressive might I say~
She said sultry leaning down onto him which gave Y/n the good kind of view with hers dangling...
Y/n: Hehe..
......
Meanwhile.
Marie suddenly broke a broom with only the grip by her bare hand which Peacock or Patricia winces at seeing her do it so effortlessly.
Patricia: Holy shi-! What's wrong Marie?!
She nearly cussed out loud but save herself quickly, not wanting to feel her wrath.
Squigly and Leviathan were also there and both of them had dotted eyes when they saw her grip strength.
Marie: My Y/n senses is tingling.. again!
Patricia/Squigly: ....Your what?
.....
Anyway back to them!
Valentine giggled seeing the exact reaction she expected which was really cute.
Valentine: Though.. I am grateful, even though it was unintentional, I still thank you for helping Carol..
She smiled, looking said very thankful.
Y/n: You seem concerned for her a lot, despite the hateful glares she gives you, which now that I mentioned it, why does she hate you?
This made Valentine smile turn sadly as she looks up to the sky.
Valentine: Its... complicated...
Y/n sees the sadness in her eye as he didn't pry further, thinking it might be a very sensitive topic, only letting out a warm breath in this cold winter day..

Meanwhile, in another side of the city.
Filia was seen walking amongst the streets with a hat on her but she wasn't alone.
Filia: Carol.. Are you sure you're not gonna wear a disguise?
She asked worriedly seeing the look of disgust and fear thrown towards them, though at Carol.
Carol hearing just scoffs, at this point she's grown used to it now, listening to someone's words did help her a lot.
Carol: It doesn't matter anymore, it did bother me at first but I thought it's best to ignore them, after all you're here now...
Hearing this made Filia smile, happy to have her back as well.
The two continues walking until they reached a Bus stop.
Filia: By the way.. where are we going?
Carol: You wanted to know more of your past right? I could just tell you what I know, but what better way is for me to show you instead..
Filia hearing this grew surprised and Samson grew nervous.
Filia: R-Really? Where then?
A Bus then came as both got on it which shows the destination they're heading too...
Maplecrest.
Carol: ...Home.

Both Y/n and Valentine were now walking around the park.
Y/n: So.... Valentine... how did you become an Operative?
Valentine: Curious one arm ya? Well can't blame ya, after all I already know bits of your past.
Y/n: Really?
Valentine: Yep, you're an amnesiac like your girlfriend Filia, an orphan from the streets, is that right?
Y/n: How do you-
Valentine: Fortune told us, especially to the Doctor and Princess herself.
Y/n: Oh...
Valentine could only look at him with pity. Not knowing of your past is a big deal after all.
Valentine: Well now since I know yours, might as well tell ya my story..
This made Y/n put his full attention to her as both of them then took a sit on a another nearby bench as Valentine looks to the sky.
Valentine: If I have to perfectly explain it in a way.... My life was...Average. There ain't much interesting of my past. Born from a normal family, lived a boring average childhood and then became a run on the mill nurse, nothing that exciting....
She exclaimed looking bored as said which made Y/n sweatdrop.
Y/n: I find that hard to believe.
Valentine: Heh yeah it seems so, but it wasn't that long when there came the chance of a path that will lead to excitement. It lead me to where I am now, working for the ASG lab as an operative, if it really was the young me telling this, it would've sound farfetched..
Y/n: I guess so, but weren't you afraid? I mean you basically signed up for a life and death situation.
Valentine: I could say the same thing to you, I learned the fact that you accepted the Princess's offer just for your girlfriends, to help them with their troubled past and look where you are, managing to do the job~
Y/n: Hehe yeah.. now that I think about it, it's practically the best decision of my life now.
Valentine: Feelings mutual. Despite the dangers I grew to love my job as a Last Hope Operative, I mean look where I am now? You could say I'm living the dream..
Y/n: Yeah and on the brighter side, I wouldn't have become friends with you all too! Especially to a badass ninja such as yourself~!
He smiled widely at her making Valentine chuckle, despite the mask on, she is smiling judging from her eye.
Valentine: Heh you really are the flatterer ain't ya~?
She ruffles his hair which to her surprised was quite soft despite being spiky.
Y/n: Heh y'know I'm gonna be honest, at first when I first saw ya, I thought you were a serious and COLD person, but no, you're pretty CHILL nurse, eyy~!
Valentine rolls her eyes from the puns as Y/n laughs, so far both were enjoying each other's company, feeling all warm and fuzzy under this cold weather.
In fact for Valentine nothing could ruin this..
???: <Valentine....*bzzz*....come in Valentine!>
..Except for that..
Hearing her leader's voice, she annoyingly grabs her communicator.
Valentine: Yeah I'm here, what is it?
She asked annoyed being interrupted of their moment.
Christmas: <We finally found one, we got info of a location>
Valentine: R-Really? Then I'll meet you up at the rendezvous point.
Christmas: <No there's no time, the tip we found says the trafficking is happening at different locations at the same time! But we suspect they'll be meeting in the same place. So instead meet us at this location..>
Valentine heard beeping as she looks at the coordinates.
Y/n: Uh so looks like you're gonna go back to work..
Valentine: Yes, seems like we have to cut this conversation now, it was fun talking with ya. I'll see you later.
She salutes before she flickers away like a ninja as Y/n looks to see her jumping building to building.
Y/n: .....Welp time to go back to boring patrol!
But before Y/n could do that, he heard shouting and muffled noises which caught his attention as he jumps into a tree into the other one and looks behind to see..
???: Come on you guys! move those merchandise! The boss is waiting!
???2: Yeah yeah calm down, we're going as fast as we can but the brats keeps squirming!
A few children were being carried into a truck as their mouths were covered, gagged with rugs as few low level thugs walks around putting them into cages.
Y/n: Huh this must be what Valentine looking for, dang and she already left. Oh well looks like it's up to me....
Before Y/n could do something.
*Crack!*
Y/n: ???
He heard the cracking noise as he looks around confused, not until he realizes what's happening.
Y/n: Ah crapbask-ets!
The entire branch he was standing on broke leading him to plummet to the snowy ground with a hard thud.
Thug: What was that!?
Y/n groans as he got up.
Y/n: Well there goes my cover, it can't get any wors-!
*THWACK!*
...only to be hit by a piece of the fallen broken branch making him go back to the ground.
Y/n: Ugh....
His entire consciousness slowly blackens as the last thing he sees were a few thugs walking towards him...

Y/n: Yup! The branch broke, I fell and a piece of it hit my head hard as I got knocked out, because of that my cover was blown and ended up getting captured, which brings me to here! I know, it's stupid of me right? Looks like I don't have that much of a plot armor huh, such misfortune...
Leader: ...Who the hell are you talking to?
Y/n: Two words. The readers.
All: ...What?
Y/n: Its nothing for you to worry about.
This just got them confused but decided to ignore it as they continue to party.
But though, the strange thing was that, few of them seemed to be missing.
A group of them were right outside, having drinks as they laughed. One though spoke up, noticing something.
Thug: Hey, have you seen Jeri?
Thug2: Uh no.. now that you mentioned it, he should have been back by now, Lard too.
Thug3: Tincan should've been back too!
Thug4: Think those guys went to have fun with the packages?
Thug: They better not be, or else the boss would be pissed!
Thug3: No kidding! I mean we wouldn't want that to happen, right Snotty?
Thug2: ......
Thug3: Snotty?
The three looks to their friend only to find him gone.
Seeing this they were surprised before a shadow crept up to them and everything went black.
Back inside, their boss who was sitting on top of a crater drinking a lot
Leader: Ahh~ That's the stuff, everything is going to plan~ We manage to load a lot, all of them in perfect condition~ Oh I can smell the money~ Nothing can ruin this for me-
Thugs: *Wilhelm Scream* AAAAaaaH-
*CRASH!*
The music breaks when everyone heard the crash as they looked to see one of them crashed on a crater..
???: Whoops.
They all simultaneously look to the side to see two familiar hot nurses.
Y/n seeing them couldn't help but smile.
Thugs: .....
Nurses: .....
Leader: .......
Cat: :3... Meow.
Christmas: Well there goes the subtlety of stealth. I told you not to go overboard.
Valentine: My bad, should've kicked him in the nuts to silence him.
Everyone was shocked to see them especially their boss as he grew agitated but then he eyes them up and down.
Leader: Well lookie here, ain't you two quite the beauty.
Valentine: Heh don't we know it~
Leader: Heh why don't you come over and have fun with the big man~?
Valentine: Hmm tempting~ But I doubt your tiny little brother can satisfy us~
This irked the man.
Christmas: Besides, what big man? All I see are tiny little brats who don't have the means to satisfy others even themselves~. It's pretty pathetic if you ask me.
Y/n: (Ooooh... They're gonna need an ice for that one)
This immediately enrages them all. Now normally Christmas wouldn't go running her mouth like that, unlike Valentine but she couldn't help it as these lowlives had the nerve of eyeing them up like the Erv's they are.
So they're gonna get it.
Leader: GET THEM!!
His thugs all roared as they grabbed their weapons and charges.
Quickly drawing their hospital themed weapons both charges.
She slashes down another Thug with the back of her weapon as Christmas threw scalpels at their knees making them trip in pain.
Valentine then quickly dashes around with her saw blade sword as blood flew into the air, but she didn't kill them, only temporarily crippling them.
Y/n: Hey you two!
Both of them hearing his voice quickly looks up and went a little bug eyed.
Valentine: Y/N!?
Christmas: What are you doing up there!?
Y/n: Oh you know... just HANGING around hehe..
Valentine facepalms at this while Christmas sighs exasperated.
Christmas: Well keep hanging on while we deal with them! Just wait for us!
Y/n: Alrighty!
Both continues their fight and they were a bit surprised to see that there were many thugs in this place, hell some even came out often crates and vents!
They were now surrounded as both nurses leaned onto each other back to back as they close in on them...
*CRASH!*
*WEE-WOO!*
*WEE-WOO!*
But then, suddenly out of the wall comes crashing an Ambulance with it's alarmblaring loudly as it hits many thugs sending them flying back as well as running over some of them until it suddenly drifts to a stop, right next to the two.
The door slams open and out came...
Easter: The cavalry had arrived!
Patty: Hope wer not late' fer the arty ey?
Valentine: Took you three long enough.
Hallow: I'll say we're right on time.
Easter: Sorry there were a lot of them than we expected, but we're here now!
Christmas: Good! Because here they come!
All of them readied their weapons to deal with a small army of thugs and slavers.
Y/n was relieved to see them all as Easter and Patty went to free the slaves while the other three covers their backs.
But thenone of the thugs was thrown back, hitting the lever, breaking it as then Y/n started to be lowered down into the boiling water.
Y/n seeing he was about to be cooked alive, looked on nervous,
Y/n: Uh... girls, a little help?
Valentine: Y/n!!
She shouted in shock seeing he was still being lowered to the barrel.
Hallow seeing this grew horrified but then turn into anger.
Hallow: Don't worry my love! I'm coming!
She quickly dashes towards his direction but got block by these lowlives.
Hallow: HOW DARE YOU GET IN THE WAY OF OUR LOVE!?
Thugs: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!
She bulldoze her way towards them throwing them off.
Hallow: Yes! Fear me! Scream for me!! As I shall punish you all for harming my beloved!
Hallow easily defeats them all using only syringes as many went numb, their mouths foaming as some went sticking to the wall.
She does a somersault, kicking many of them before backhanding one in the face as she quickly reloads her syringes into a post.
Y/n: Well, that was HOT~ Almost as hot as this boiling water I'm about to be put in.
Seeing this, Hallow quickly took action as she threw a scalpel, blocking the chains from lowering Y/n further before she broke it and quickly get him out of there.
Hallow landed safely with Y/n in her arms as an explosion went off behind them.
Hallow: You're safe now my love~
She caresses his cheek rather lovingly making Y/n shiver as he smiled wryly.
Y/n: Thanks Hallow!
Hallow: (H-He said my name!!)
Despite the mask, you could tell she was smiling happily,.... maybe a bit too much as she has hearts for pupils.
*CLANG!*
Valentine quickly blocks a metal bat swung at her before she kicks the guys legs, making him do a split before getting kicked in the nuts and thrownto his buddies as Christmas then uses bandages as she ropes in a few thugs and spun them around, hitting many of them at once.
Both Nurse quickly turn their attention back to the kidnapped victims seeing they were almost freed but then in came more thugs, battle ready,
Suddenly, they were all covered in blue light before they all got hurled towards the wall.
Seeing this both Nurse looks to see Y/n, with Hallow crouching behind him, holding her blushing face.
Valentine: Huh, y'know we could've taken care of that, right?
Y/n: I know.
Christmas looks around seeing many were down.
Christmas: Think that's the last of them?
*CLICK!!!*
They all heard the sounds of guns cocking as they look to see another batch has arrived, carrying rifles in hands.
Y/n: O_O
Valentine: -_-...You had to ask...
They all just got ready as Y/n prepares his strings but then realizes something.
Y/n: Hey where's their boss?
*CRASH!*
Suddenly the whole wall behind them broke as a truck is shown crashing through, driving towards them as the driver was revealed to be the Slave trader, or the leader.
Leader: DIE YOU BITCHES!!
They can't dodge in time as they were too shock but then the girls were grabbed bya blue light and pushed away.
Valentine/Christmas/Hallow: !?
Their eyes lands on Y/n who was about to get hit and the leader cruelly smiled at this.
Y/n saw the light coming and something flashesin his eyes.
A memory.
One that he clearly can't remember but it seems to be from his past but... it was too blurry to see.
Aside from that, he was about to get hit soon and the Nurses could do nothing but watch..
Christmas/Valentine/Hallow: (NO!!)

Y/n: SIKE!
Suddenly Y/n seemingly teleported right above it, dodging the truck much to everyone's extreme bewilderment.
Y/n then ssuddenly started floating in mid air, but in reality, he'sstanding on strings as he then grabs the truck with telekinesis and brought it high up in the air smiling, his left eye glowing bright.
Y/n: Hah! Did you really think I'll get hit? Not today Truck-kun! Although being isekaid doesn't seem to be a bad idea but dying by you sounds painful!
Slowly the truck is getting crushed with the Slave leader inside, panicking and crying out to be spared.
Thugs: Boss!!
All of them quickly shot many rounds at Y/n only for it all to be block with his telekinesis before he then literally threw the truck at them, crushing many as it rolls around and goes....
*BOOM!!!*
An fiery mess went off from that as strangely, Y/n's figure momentarily change into that of a skeleton's from the light of the flames...
Last Hope seeing this looks on wide eyed from the bloody mess just from that attack as Y/n then stops, smiling at his work.
Y/n: Well! I think our work here is done!
He smiled in glee at the nurses, his left eye glowing constantly which sent chills to everyone.
Last Hope: .......
Y/n: What's wrong? Did I BLOW your minds~ Hehehe~

After awhile.
A few units of Egrets has arrived in the warehouse as their reinforcements, helping out the kidnapped victims, especially the children and apprehending the leftover thugs inside their vehicles.
Y/n whose hands were slowly being bandaged by Valentine herself was humming happily to himself.
Valentine: Y-...Y/n.. Are you,.... alright?
Y/n: Well.. I am feeling a bit tired but in all I'm feeling fantastic! Why wouldn't I be?
Valentine: W-Well you.... you just took a life... lives even... you killed them....
Y/n: Hmm, Well I didn't kill all of them, their leader is still alive thanks to my quick thinking, he's just... bedridden hehe but can't say for the others though but hey at least their boss is still alive, you can still interrogate him!
He smiled widely but that seem to worry Valentine even more which he notices,
Y/n: I'm fine. It's not the first I've taken a life as far as I could remember if that's you're worried about.. I'm more bothered by the fact that these guys were kidnapping old people now too.
He nonchalantly said which made Valentine extremely shocked but in more worry especially seeing his smile, his eyes, it was unlike the previous ones, this one felt different... she doesn't know why but...
Why does it gives her the cold chills?
Valentine: (He doesn't really seem too bothered, I mean he just killed them and he seems fine with it...)
She frowns at the thought of it but though she saw his smile was crooked.
Valentine: (Just what the hell did he go through?)
This night has been pretty worrisome indeed..

Nighttime in Maplecrest.
Filia and Carol were now standing right in front of a rundown abandoned Mansion with dead trees and grass all around it.
Seeing the place made Filia get few flashes of blurred memories making her groan..
Filia: This place... is my home...?
Carol nodded as slowly Filia approaches the doors, her hand slowly hesitating to grab the nob.
Carol: ... What's wrong?
Filia: I........
Her breath hitches as she closes her eyes and grabs the knob. opening the door.
Suddenlya sudden gust of wind blew over to them, surprising them all as a sudden chill crawls up to their skin.
Carol/Filia: What?
Both of them looks at each other as Samson looks nervous but didn't say anything.
Filia looks to the sky, she doesn't know why but why is she feeling worried all of a sudden..?
...
Shaking those thoughts aside, she entered the house as Carol followed after, her mask off showing her concerned look but she knew it's for the better for Filia to know...
Samson: (Here we go...)
Unknown to them all, a pair of red eyes were watching them from afar, inside of a familiar burned down house near the mansionbefore everything went.....

Finally got done with this chapter!
It took long because I have a lot to deal with in my life, although there might be some errors, typos here that I might'vemissed, either I'll correct them or not, I'll do it later, for now it's good enough.
Now in this chapter, it solely focuses on Y/n and Valentine but also Last Hope.
There's also bits of important parts as for example Filia and Carol being in Maplecrest.
I'm slowly building the story up as if all goes well, all the secrets that are waiting to be unfold will soon arise!
