"𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄? 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐈? 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋 happened to you two?" Allison questioned. Nini bet they were an awful sight — exhausted, sweaty, blood on their clothes, a mysterious duffel bag.
"Are you guys okay? Can we help?" Luther asked beside the actress. He reached a comforting hand towards Five, but the boy snatched his wrist before he could.
"There's nothing you can do," Five snapped harshly, but his voice morphed into something else. "There's nothing any of you can do."
Five dropped the giant's hand and took Nini's wrist instead. He led them back to his room and she hoped they'd get rest now.
"You're hurt, Dell Bell." Five stated as she plopped down on his bed. She followed his gaze to her right shoulder to find a bleeding graze wound.
"Huh. I didn't even feel it." She hummed with furrowed eyebrows. Her eyes flickered over Five. "You are too. Stiches for stitches, hm?"
Five chuckled. "Deal."

Confusion rolled over Delphini when she woke up that morning. She had slept on the floor, but now she was on something soft — Five's bed. She furrowed her eyebrows and rubbed the sleep away from her eyes. She couldn't feel Five's consciousness anywhere.
Once her eyes cleared up, she spotted a paper on the bedside table and picked it up.
At Meritech

Delphini snorted and put it back on the table. She yawned and stood up, bones cracking and popping as she stretched. She winced. Lifting up her shirt, the bruise Luther had left was still prominent, but beginning to fade. Red blotches and raised spots of irritated skin littered her body from bullets hitting her shadows last night.
Her stomach growled and she resolved to find some food and coffee, maybe orange juice. She'd slept in her clothes last night, so she brushed a few wrinkles out as she slipped her shoes on. She grabbed her glasses off the bedside table and began shuffling out of the room with a yawn.
It took her a minute to figure out the confusing maze that the Umbrella Academy was, but she eventually found the stairs leading down to the kitchen. She shuffled down, hearing voices and sensing two consciousnesses.
"Morning, Nini. Are you feeling better after last night?" Allison questioned her as she turned to face the girl, Luther doing the same.
Nini held a thumb up as she took a seat at the table, yawning. Allison smiled softly. "Do you want anything to eat?"
"Please. I'm starved." She hummed. Nini leaned a hand hand against her chin and glanced at Grace, who was humming over the stove.
"Mom, could you make Nini some breakfast, too?"
"Of course!"
"You're freaky. You know that?" Luther stated, still unnerved at the thought of the girl digging around in his head, hearing her voice in his mind.
The Fallon girl snorted as Allison smacked the giant on the shoulder. "It's okay. Most people think that. What are you guys up to?"
"None of your business." Luther whispered agressively. Nini raised an eyebrow at him, unfazed. She turned her gaze to Allison.
The actress rolled her eyes and whispered to Nini, "We think Mom poisoned our dad."
Nini blinked for a moment, before glancing over at the robot as she sipped her orange juice that Grace had kindly set in front over her. "Dramatic."
The trio sat in silence for a moment or two, watching Grace. In truth, Nini didn't care as it wasn't her business and she really only wanted the food that smelled so good, but she also loved to be nosey.
"Mom?" Luther questioned hesitantly. "We need to ask you some questions about that night Dad died. Do you remember anything?"
Grace turned slowly with the same soft, motherly smile she always had. "Of course. Sunset, 7:33 p.m.. Moon was waxing crescent, dinner was Cornish hen, wild rice, and carrots."
"No. No, uh... later that night. In his bedroom." Luther pressed. "Did you go see him?"
The smile on Grace's face fell slowly, before she let out a fake chuckle. "I don't recall."
She turned back to humming and cooking. Allison gave Luther a look to press further. Nini wouldn't lie that the robot did seem to be hiding something, but she continued to remind herself that it was none of her business.
"Were you ever... I don't know, angry with Dad?" Allison questioned after Luther wouldn't continue questioning their mother.
A beat passed before Grace responded. "Your father was a good man. A kind man. He was very good to me."
"Yes, but after we all left, it must've been difficult."
"Oh, there were days. You kids kept me oh so busy, and then — " Grace stopped herself.
"What?" Luther questioned.
"Mom, what were you gonna say?" Allison questioned.
"Eggs are ready!" Grace just grinned brightly. She placed the three plates in front of them. Two eggs with bacon in the shape of a smiley face. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Now eat up. All three of you."
Nini didn't waste any time digging into her food, dipping her bacon into the yolk. Allison glanced at her. "Nini, can you get in her head?"
The girl shook her head and wiped her mouth. "No. She doesn't have the same consciousness as humans. Tell her I said thank you for breakfast."

Delphini knew she probably should've left to go back home after breakfast, but she stayed for an unknown reason and read on the couch. When Luther asked her if she knew where Five was, she told him and he took Klaus to go get him. She was sent to go find Rai.
Humming, she opened the door to the apartment. She found Rai laying on the couch, watching TV, her hair a mess and still in her pajamas. Nini snorted at the sight and caught Rai's attention. The woman sat up. "Nini! You're alive!"
The girl nodded as Rai wrapped her up in a hug. "You couldn't have called or anything, huh, brat?"
"Sorry, I meant to. Five's been dragging me all around town." She explained as the duo pulled away from each other.
"Well, at least I know he'll keep you safe, even with blood on your clothes." Rai snickered. Her eyes flickered over the smaller girls expression and furrowed her eyebrows. "What's the matter?"
"They're calling a family meeting. It's about your mom." Nini picked at her cuticles. "Luther thinks she poisoned your dad."
Rai scoffed. "That fucker. First he blames us, then he blames Mom. Next it'll be the damn curtains."
Nini laughed gently. "I suggest a shower, maybe brush your hair."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. I suggest a change of clothes for yourself, brat."
