"Wait for me!" Noor screamed, "Mujhe chhor ke na jahiye, Baba."
It was another one of her nightmares that disturbed the Shah Villa nearly once or twice a week.
"Baba, me toh apki princess thi na, don't leave me" She continued.
The door suddenly opened and her Mumtaz Tayi and Moiz Taya came along with their daughter 5 year old daughter Arwa and their 10 year old son Danish. Behind them her Shoaib Chacha and Rukhsar Chachi came. Their two youngsters were fast asleep in their rooms, Hadi, aged 8 and Hamza, aged 4. Soon after her Naaz Phupho joined with her crying 1 year old in her arms, Hala.
Noor's father, Hashim, left her with his family years ago. A few days after he left, sad news of his death had arrived. Noor was 5 at that time. 3 years have past and its like she has been stuck in a never-ending nightmare.
A year ago, when Naaz was pregnant with Hala, her husband died in a car accident. This news was horrific for everyone, especially Naaz, who went into labour a few weeks after his death and was blessed with a beautiful girl. She moved on from the death of her husband and gave her full time to her beautiful daughter.
"Noor beta, kuch nahi howa, we are all here." said her Shoaib Chacha.
Noor was sweating now and shaking. Mumtaz went to her and shook her a bit.
"Noor wake up, wake up" she got water from her side table and and sprinkled some on her face. Her sweating stopped and she stopped shaking. Her eyes started opening slowly. She suddenly hugged Mumtaz.
"Tayi, wo Baba"
"I know mera bacha, I know." She hugged her back.
Danish kept glaring at her. She always got more attention then him, she always got more care and love. It was as if everyone else was invisible. It was always Noor this and Noor that. No one ever paid attention to anyone else he thought.
