Tessa stood in her room, looking at herself in her full-length mirror that stood up against her wall, deciding if she liked her outfit she was going to wear for the 'not a date.' She was currently wearing a maroon long sleeve button up shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans. She had her hair naturally down and wore a longer necklace.

She was about to change, stopping at the noise of a knock on her door. "Come in." She spoke out to whoever was on the other side of the door. She turned to the side to watch her door open as Sam walked in. "Hey." She spoke quietly, turning back to the mirror

"Hey." Sam sighed as she closed the door behind her. "Look, I know we don't always get along, but I'm trying to fix that. Why can't we just go back to how we were before?" She took a seat on Tessa's bed.

"You seriously want to go back to how we were before?" Tessa asked as Sam nodded back. "Sam, you ditched me for Yasmine and Moon and acted like you didn't know who I was. Then all of a sudden you want to act like none of that happened. I'm trying to be nice, but you need to understand that you still hurt me."

"I know and I'm sorry. It was stupid."

"You could say that. You left me when I needed you the most, Sam." Sam looked down as she let Tessa continue. "Look you need to go; I have a date. Well, technically it's not a date but..." She trailed off.

"A date?" Sam questioned, looking up with a cocky smile. "With who?"

"Miguel." Tessa spoke, a smile turning up on her face as she looked at herself in the mirror. Where Tessa stood, she couldn't see Sam's face as her smile slowly dropped.Another person Tessa had 'stolen' from Sam.

"Oh." Sam replied. "I should probably go, good luck."

Tessa smiled to herself in the mirror, deciding that she did in fact enjoy her outfit. The LaRusso girl  grabbed her keys, hopping into her jeep to drive to Miguels. Knocking on the boys door, she nervously waited for the boy to answer. Even if she was the one who said it wasn't a date, she still felt like it would be a date, and all she could think about was her stupid crush on Miguel, and that the boy might actually have a crush on her too.

Tessa's thoughts were interrupted as Carmen opened up the door. "Hi Carmen, is Miguel here? We were supposed to hang out." Tessa sweetly spoke to the mother, smiling at her.

"Yes, he's in his room. Let me get him, one sec." Carmen turned her head behind her, calling out for Miguel. "Miggy!" His door swung open as Miguel came rushing out, dressed in a dark red t-shirt and a blue and red button up.

"Yes, mamá." Miguel spoke, pausing as he noticed Tessa behind his mother. He quickly straitened up his posture as he smiled nervously. "Oh, hey Tessa. You look, uh, great."

"Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself." She smiled back.

"Uh, we should probably get going. Bye mom." He said, waving slightly as he made his wave to the door.

"Bye Carmen." Tessa spoke, waving as well as she walked with the boy.

"Have fun you two." Carmen replied, smiling at the pair as they got into Tessa's car. She always enjoyed Tessa being with her son, and when she heard that they were going on a date, she was more than happy to allow Miguel out.

As the pair buckled their seatbelts, Tessa turned over towards Miguel as she spoke with a smile. "So, were we going, lover boy?" Miguel laughed at the new name before turning towards her.

"You ever heard of a place called Golf'N Stuff?" He asked, a smile present on his face as he spoke. Tessa immediately lit up.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• -----------------------------------•°*"˜.•°*"˜

The two teens pulled up to a stop at the parking lot of Golf 'N Stuff. Tessa turned the car off and started to unbuckle. "Alright, let's do it!" Miguel brightly spoke.

Both got out of the car as Tessa locked the car doors. "I can't believe you wanted to come to Golf 'N Stuff." Tessa said. She was more than surprised when he told her where they were going, realizing that she hadn't been there for a long time.

"Oh, I mean, we could go somewhere else if you don't wanna be here." Miguel spoke, his smile dropping as he turned back to the car.

They continued to walk up to the register stand as they talked. "No, are you kidding me? I love this place." She reassured the boy.

"Really?" Miguel said, his tone becoming lighter.

"Totally. My dad used to bring me and Sam here all the time." They got to the stand as Tessa gave the worker money and grabbed a ball, the Diaz boy grabbing a golf club. "Come on. It's going to be so much fun." Tessa said as they started to walk away.

"Okay. Lets go."

The pair stood together as Tessa hit the golf club, her turn was quickly done making Miguel set his ball down, ready to hit it when Tessa quickly hit the red ball and ran away while laughing. Miguel smiled as he shook his head before following her.

Miguel hit the red ball, making it go up the ramp, but the ball came right back down because he didn't use enough power. He shook his head as he grabbed the ball with his hands and walked up to the dog/ramp and threw it in.

"That works too." Tessa spoke, laughing as Miguel gave her a high five.

Both laid down on the ground as Tessa grabbed her club and lightly pushed the end of it to hit the ball into the hole. They then decided to head over to the arcade and play hockey with the stick figures. As they were playing, both would constantly look up at each other, making direct eye contact as they would smile.

They both started to play ice ball side by side. All of a sudden, Miguel threw the ball, it landing in the 10,000. "Oh!" Miguel excitingly spoke as tickets started to poor out of the machine.

"Oh my god. What the heck? I can't believe you just did that." Tessa said, smiling down at the pile.

"Okay. Let's see." Miguel said, picking up the pile of tickets.

"Oh my gosh." Tessas eyes widened at the number of tickets.

Both walked over to the prize stand, smiling as Miguel dropped the tickets on the counter. "Boom!" He spoke loudly.

"Wow." She said, staring at it in awe.

"All right, this is a lot." Miguel spoke, bending a little to look at the prizes. "Let's see, you could get 15 necklaces, an eraser, or 37 lamps."

"As much as the 37 lamps are calling my name. I want that guy." She spoke with a smile, pointing at a red octopus that had sat above the worker.

"Octopus, interesting." The lady quickly reached over as she got it down, handing it over to Tessa. Miguel walked closer to Tessa to feel the octopus. "Is he fluffy? Oh, he's pretty fluffy, yeah." Miguel looked up at Tessa, the girl doing the same as they stared at each other, both holding the octopus and neither daring to look away. Miguel backed away. "Yeah, um."

"You ready? Let's go." Tessa spoke, still holding the octopus.

"Yeah. Okay, where we going?" He questioned, both leaving the prize stand.

The pair stood together, getting ready to shoot basketballs at the game Hoop Fever. "Okay, you ready?" Miguel asked the LaRusso girl.

"Alright, ready?" Tessa shot the ball, the ball going in the hoop. "Lonzo Ball with the fadeaway!" She spoke, shoving her hands up in celebration.

"All right! Ohh, so you're a Lakers fan?" The boy asked, taking the ball and shooting at the basket.

"Yeah. My family's had season tickets since I was little. Like right at half court." Tessa spoke happily as Miguel looked at her. He looked back down, his smile dropping. "You know, my dad uses them mostly for business and stuff anyway. We only go, like, sometimes." She spoke, immediately trying to make his mood change.

"Well, you know, sometimes I use my season tickets for business too." He said, trying to lift up the mood as he tried to make her laugh, shooting another basket. "Entertaining clients, sealing the deal. It's all expensive and boring."

"Oh! What kind of business are you in?" Tessa spoke, deciding to play along.

"Ooh." He spoke, trying to think as he took a deep breath. "Textiles. You know, some exports, a little imports, uh...  But my real passion lies in the community outreach program." Tessa nodded back at him.

"That's so interesting." She smiled, putting her hand on her face as she leaned onto it.

"Mhhm. Oh, it is. And what we do is we take underprivileged Encino kids who can only go to some Laker games, and we try to see if we can get them to see more." He spoke, shooting at the basket again.

"Wow, you are such a philanthropist." She sarcastically spoke.

"Yeah." He nodded, shrugging his shoulders as Tessa laughed.

"Well, do you wanna, maybe, go to a game with me sometime?" She asked him, picking another ball up.

"Yeah." He turned his head to look at her, giving her a smile. They smiled at each other until Miguel looked down and then looked back up as he continued his sarcasm. "Actually, you know, it'd depend on how close to half-court were talking because my seats are pretty close."

"Oh my god!"

"Do you have a seating chart?"

"Shut up." She said, punching him in the arm playfully.

"If you have a seating chart... All right, ready? Last shot wins." Tessa nodded her head as they both shot at the basket.

The two sat in the photo both, getting ready to get their picture taking by the machine. Tessa grabbed Miguels hand that was on his lap, putting it around her shoulders. Keeping a hold on it, both smiled as the light flashed meaning a picture was taken. They took another. Then they decided to do a silly face, making Miguel puff out his cheeks, Tessa scrunching up her face. The last one Miguel turned to look at her just as Tessa did the same as she smiled at him. Miguel stared at her; star struck.

They both walked out of the photo booth, Tessa grabbing the pictures to look at them. "Oh my gosh. Look at that face!" She laughed along with the boy.

Tessa and Miguel sat on a bench outside as Tessa ate a sandwich. "So..." Tessa started.

"Mm-hmm?" Miguel responded, looking at the girl. She grabbed the red octopus, turning a little in her spot to face Miguel.

"Señor Octupus would like to know if you are better at karate..." She trailed off.

"Karate." Miguel nodded his head as he listened to her.

"... than you are at mini golf." She finished.

"Hhhm! Okay, I didn't realize the octopus was Hispanic now," He started as Tessa shook her head. "Buuut, uh, why don't you tell Señor Octopus that, um, sensei says I'm the best in the class." Tessa quickly chuckled but stopped as Miguel looked at her. "What?"

"Thats not what he said the other day when I took you down on my first day at the dojo."

"No way... Stand up." He spoke as he moved his arm.

She looked at him for a second before setting down her food. "Okay, but my food better not be cold when we're done." He rolled his eyes playfully as he watched her stand up.

"All right, here's what we're gonna do." He spoke as he got up as well. "Get into a general fighting position. Just... yeah, leg out, kind of like an L." She did as he said as he adjusted her stance. "Arm out here. Then you want that arm out. There you go." He put both of his hands on her waist and continued to talk. "Then you kind of position—"

"You wanna put your hands on my hips?" She interrupted the boy as she smirked and looked back at him, the boys' mouth wide open in shock.

"Uh, no. I'm correcting your stance. Look, this move is really hard, so if you don't get it the first time, don't feel bad—" He stopped as she put her hand around his shoulders, flipping him forward as he landed on the ground. She stood back up, holding his leg. "Holy shit, Tessa. That was amazing. What are you—" He stopped as she put one foot on his chest, making him lay flat.

"Sensei Tessa. You know you always underestimate me Mig." She laughed slightly as she sat down on him, straddling his waist. "You know, this may be the best date I've ever been on." She said, smiling as she looked down at him, grabbing onto his shirt as he slightly put his hands on her waist.

"Really? Cause technically, this isn't a date."

"Right." She spoke, smiling down at the boy. "Not a date." She leaned down as she closed her eyes, finally having the corsage to do what she had been waiting to do in so long. She quickly closed the gap between the two. The boy laid in shock, before realizing what happened as he quickly fluttered his eyes shut and kissed her back. She slowly moved back, "And that was not a kiss."

"Yeah." He nodded before bringing her down for another kiss. The two continued to kiss on the bare ground. From an outsider perspective it would have looked weird to see two teens making out on the ground near the parking lot of Golf 'N Stuff, but the two didn't care. Because they both knew that what just happened was only the begging of something they would never forget.

And they were right about that.
