Ash's pov
"Serena!"
"What is it?" She says as she approaches me
"Is that a Rhyhorn?!" I point out to a small house with a sleeping rhyhorn in
"Well duh. Mom is a rhyhorn racer" she says
"Sorry it's just so cool, so you have any other Pokémon around the house?"
"Well... we do have a fletchling" Serena answers
"Can I see it!!!!"
"You know ash.. you can be really childish sometimes" she shrugs as she walks over to the bed and sits down
"Not much at all has changed with you since we met last time" she says
"Is that bad or good....?"
"Hmm both."
"Why's that?"
"I mean.. I loved your personality back then, that hasn't changed much but it's good. But you're still childish and dense. Just as you were before" she explains
"Why does everyone say that I'm dense? Even Bonnie said that"
"Well yes you are"
"Not anymore"
"Kinda" she huffs
A fletchling comes flying into the open window and land on my arm
"So this is the fletchling?"
"Yep" she answers
"Just... Uhh be careful so you don't sleep too much in the morning"
"Probably gonna happen anyway and you can't stop me"
"Fletchling can"
I wonder what she meant with that
A little fletchling can't really hurt me, right?
-the next day-
Serena's pov
I wake up and greet Rhyhorn as usual, then I walk downstairs
"Good morning mom"
"Good morning serena, is ash up yet?"
"Probably not"
Mom looks at fletchling and nod towards it "you know what to do"
Fletchling nods and fly away.
Oh no, well it is his own fault, I told him not to sleep in.
"OUCH!!!" Ash screams
He immediately runs downstairs and shout "FLETCHLING ATTACKED ME"
"That's what you get when you sleep in" mom says
"Anyways im going to be away for a while, they needed some extra help with the rhyhorn race in Santalune city" mom says as she makes us some breakfast
Finally! I get some alone time with ash
"By the way serena, do you remember what you were supposed to do later today?" Mom says
"No...?"
"Of course you forgot. You agreed a week ago that you would volunteer to help the kids at the rhyhon stable nearby. You can bring ash with you too"
I facepalm myself and groan
I totally forgot about that
Some time later me and ash were sitting outside and taking
"I'm sorry"
"Sorry for what?" Ash says
"For my mom, you know the fletchling and the kids"
"No it's okay, being pecked by fletchling is probably better than being Thunderbolted by pikachu anyway" he shrugs and I laugh
"Wait, kids can ride rhyhorns?" He asks
"Some can, if they're skilled enough, but most of them usually rides on skiddos"
"Oh right, I remember that" he says
"There's still an hour until we need to be there, so what do we do until then?"
He starts to think and says "I don't know, just sit here?"
I can do anything as long as I am with you. But I don't say that, I just answer with an "Okay"
We sit there and talk about stuff that happened while we were on our own adventures
Lilligant pops out of her pokeball and starts walking around in the grass
I look at her as she walks towards the forest nearby
"Where are you going lilligant?" I shout after her
"It's said that the flower on lilligants head blooms easier when they are in the wild" ash says while thinking
I reach for my Pokédex and open Lilligants entry
'It's well liked by other Pokémon because of its beauty. The flower on its head needs constant care, or it will soon wither and rot.
No matter how much time and money is spent raising it, its flowers are the most beautiful when they bloom in the wild.'
Oh I didn't know that I had to take care of lilligants flower..
maybe that's why it heading towards the forest. To help it's flower to grow beautiful
"Let's follow her" ash says. He offers his hand to help me up, I take it and get up.
We walked towards the forest hand in hand where lilligant went.
We arrived and looked around for lilligant
"Lilligant?" I say as I look around
After a few minutes of searching, we find lilligant sitting by a small pond in the forest. There was forest Pokémon sitting next to lilligant. they sat in a circle, surrounding a lot of berries
"So that's what it's doing" I say quietly
The Pokémon begin to play as Lilligant watched them. I wonder why she doesn't play along with them.
We were hiding behind some bushes. But then an Ursaring approached the small Pokémon, he snatched all their berries, sat down and begun to eat them
The other Pokémon that were playing before was now standing terrified as they watched ursaring eat their food
I looked at ash, I could see that he was angry. He took a step forwards but I grabbed his arm
"We shouldn't interrupt them" I whisper
"But if anything happens then I must do something" he argues back quietly
"I'm sure lilligant will do something.."
Lilligant stepped towards the ursaring and begun to say something to ursaring, but he wasn't listening.
Then she used energy ball on him
The ursaring got furious by this
He stood up and got ready to attack. But by doing that, he dropped the berries, Lilligant ran towards the berries and took them with her, the other forest Pokémon followed her.
Me and ash followed them from the side.
They continues to run until they got inside a tree with a hole in it. Ursaring couldn't possibly fit in there, also the ursaring passed the tree and continued to run a bit until he came to a tree blocking his way forward. He looked around for Lilligant and the other but couldn't find them so he walked away.
"Glad that they got back their things safely" ash says
"Yeah. But I wonder how long lilligant will stay here"
"Don't worry, she'll get out of the forest eventually"
"Yes I know but I we need to go in 10 minutes"
We sit behind the bush and wait, lilligant need to come out now, we'll be late is she doesn't
Five minutes passes by and I'm starting to freak out, she needs to come out, now!
I decide to walk to her instead. I walk towards the entrance of the tree and crouch down to the hole
"Lilligant we need to go now you can come back here later" I say in a soft voice. the other forest Pokémon seemed a little bit scared
"Don't worry, I won't hurt any of you, but Lilligant.. please come now, I will take better care of your flower when we get back home. I didn't know that they could rot if I didn't take care of it"
"Lilligant!" Lilligant says as she jumps up to my arms
I walk to Ash that still were hiding behind the bushes
"Let's go"
We get out of the forest and start wandering to the Rhyhorn Stable
When we arrive, a woman welcomed me and showed me where to put my things. We also changed into our rhyhorn suits.
We arrived at the course with our suits on. The staff looked a bit confused about ash, but I explained that he also came here to help with me. They said that they were happy to have him there
When the training started, a few kids came running at me and ash, they complimented us and was clinging into us
Another woman came and said "kids! Line up!"
The kids did what she said and looked silently at her as she made sure everyone was present
"Get yourself a Skiddo kids" the woman instructed
Some found their skiddo very fast, but some took some time.
"Serena.. can you help me?" A little girl asked me
"What do you want help with?"
"I'm scared of skiddos...." She said
She looked down, disappointed in herself as she grabbed my suit
I recognize that look from myself. When you can't do something you really want to do
"What's you're name?"
"Olivia..."
"Well then Olivia, come with me"
We walk towards some skiddos and they just calmly eat some grass
"Do want to know a secret?"
"What?" She looks up at me
"The skiddo can feel your feelings, so if you're scared, the skiddo becomes scared too, if you're happy and calm, the skiddo is too"
She gives me a small nod and looks at me.
"So, which Skiddo do you want? Pick carefully"
She walks up to a skiddo but as when she approaches the Skiddo it bleats and Olivia gets scared
I walk towards her and she instantly hugs me
"Let's find a calmer one? Okay?"
She nods and we walk to another skiddo
"I think this one might be a little bit nicer"
Olivia approaches the Skiddo carefully and it feels like this Skiddo liked Olivia
She looks deep into the Skiddo eyes and says "I want this one" I smile and help her up
"Grab the horns"
Olivia does as I say and she smiles at me "thank you Serena"
"No problem, that's why I'm here"
I look at the other kids and see ash with a few other kids. He looked kind off, tired?
I smile at him and he smiles back at me
-at the end of the training-
"Great work kids, and keep it up" the woman dismisses them and they run to their parents which we're waiting outside
But instead of going to her father, Olivia went to me. "Thank you Serena. It's because of you that I can ride on a Skiddo" she hugs me and runs to her dad
"Thank you. You two really made this easier for us. Also it seems that the kids liked having you two here, you're welcome back anytime" the woman says
"No problem it was fun to be here" I say
"Sure was" ash agrees
We go and change into our normal clothes and walk away
"the kids really loved having you there, right?" I smirk
"yes and they literally wouldn't stop clinging into me"
As we were walking officer Jenny comes dashing behind us
As she drives by we stop and look at each other
"Should we follow?" Ash says
I nod and we start running behind Jenny
She finally stops and look around
We stopped running as well and went up to Jenny
"Is something wrong officer Jenny?" Ash asks
"A Huge group of rhyhorn has been released by mistake" we need to get them back
"We'll help you" ash says
"Well we basically only need to find the Rhyhorns" ash says
Jenny looks at us confused and walks away to search for them
After minutes of searching, officer Jenny finds them! She was standing a bit away from the huge rhyhorn mass
"How do we get them back.." she says, deep in thought
"That problem is already solved" Ash says looking at me
I just arrived as he said that
"Come on Serena, let's get the rhyhorns"
We walk towards them and as fast as they saw us, or well, me. They came running to me.
I took one rhyhorn and climbed up to its back and rode it to Jenny
"Great!"
-after they got the rhyhorns back-
"Thank you for your help today" Jenny thanks us
"No problem" ash says
It has gotten pretty late now.. we should head back home
"Let's go home now ash. I'm tired"
"Okay"
We arrive at the house 10 minutes after that
"How long will your mom be gone?" Ash asks
"Hmmm I don't know, if it was for a big race.. then maybe 2 or 3 days"
"So that means alone time with you" he smirks
When did ash became such a flirt?
"What do you want for dinner?" I ask Ash
"Whatever you make" he smirks
I roll my eyes and smirks at him
"I'll just make something simple"
He nods back and I start to cook
I finished my cooking and prepared for dinner while ash was watching some tv
"Dinner's ready" I say and he quickly gets up and looks amazed of my cooking
"You said simple" he says in amazement
"Well it is"
"But it looks so good" he says
"Thanks, let's just eat before the food gets cold"
He nods and sits down
-after dinner-
Ash's pov
"That was so good!"
"Aww thank you Ash" Serena says
Pikachu looks at me
"Pikachu likes your food too"
"You think so pikachu? I'm so glad that you like it!"
She smiles and pikachu jumps to her shoulder
-a few hour later-
Serena had changed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I changed into more comfortable clothes too
"Do you want to watch a movie or something?"
Serena suggests
"Sure"
We sit down in the couch and grab some snacks.
Serena turns on the tv and start scrolling through some movies
"What do you want to watch?" She asks
"Hmmm i don't know"
She keeps scrolling until we decide to just watch something random
I sit close to Serena with pikachu sleeping on Serena's lap
An hour into the movie I realize how boring it was i yawn and look at Serena, she had already fallen asleep, her head was resting on my shoulder.
I remove Pikachu from Serena's lap and put it on the couch next to me
I turn off the movie and look at the clock, It was pretty late. So I decide to go and sleep.
I carry Serena upstairs and put her in her bed.
I go and brush my teeth and then I go and check on serena. I sit by her bed and kiss her goodnight and as I get up to leave. She grabs my arm "stay.." she says quietly
My eyes widen up and I stare at her
She wants to... what?!
I mean we have done it before but that was because we had to..
"I- uhhmm o-okay"
I put pikachu at the bottom of the bed and lay next to Serena
She was hugging me and she snuggled up to my chest. Later on, I wrapped my arm around her.
Minutes later, I fell asleep, hugging Serena
