I stayed in the house with him for a week, gaining his trust so he would lower his guard and give me a chance to escape. It wasn't bad at all but I missed my friends, my mom, and my own bed. I feel like a whale in a bathtub, I want the ocean, I want to be free. I still love him but being in this house made me want to get as far away from him as possible. He eventually got comfortable with me not escaping..his mistake.
It was the 10th night of being in that house, I got up to go to the bathroom, Peter was still asleep and now was the perfect opportunity. I unlocked the window before, oiled it, and now I escaped.
I was out of the house but had nowhere to go. except..Eddie. Peter had no idea where he lived, plus we could go to the high school and hide there. I hit the ground hoping I didn't wake the beast. I ran and ran as fast as my little legs could go.
I finally reached his house at 1AM. I knocked on the door. No answer, but he was here. I walked over to his window and started to bang on it. I peered through and he was sound asleep.
"EDDIE!! WAKE UP!! EDDIEEEEEEE!!!!" I swear if I get kidnapped.
I checked every window and found one unlocked so I just crawled through and went to his room.
"EDDIE!"
"Chrissy?" he mumbled half asleep.
"Tiffany" I sat on his bed
He jumped right up when he realized who I was.
"DUDE WHERE WERE YOU! Me and Dustin were worried sick we thought you died! 10 days not a single word from you" he pulled me into a tight hug
"Yeah um..I was sick you know?"
"Don't lie to me. I broke into your house after the 5th day and got to stay a night in a cell, you weren't there. Chrissy heard about it and dumped me. Wait what happened to Peter?" he let go and stared at me.
"What do you mean?"
"No one from the drive-in returned except you and hopefully Peter. They found your ex...Jason?"
"Jeff" I corrected him
"Yeah, yeah, all of his bones were snapped and his eyeballs were removed. Everyone there mysteriously disappeared. It's all over the news. Aliens. Do you know what happened?"
"Yea- I mean no I puked and was hospitalized before the movie even started. Peter drove me home" I was the world's worst liar
"Mhm.."
"What? Do you not believe me?"
"Not one bit, why don't you tell me what's really going on princess?"
"I- I can't" I sighed "if I do Peter, he may never let me see daylight again"
"What happened?" he spoke with a blank face pacing around the room as I explained my forgotten past with Peter.
"And now he's taken you hostage in his house?" he asked stroking his chin
"Basically, yeah. I escaped through a window in his bathroom about two hours ago now I'm here"
"Tiffy listen, you cannot stay in this town. He will find you just like he did the first time. Dustin, Mike, Nancy, Lucas, Max, Robin, and Steve are flying out to see Hopper tomorrow evening. I have an extra ticket for Chrissy but I'm giving it to you. Come with us, please" He was on his knees begging for me to go, making puppy dog eyes, and a pouty lip.
"Where's my ticket?" I laughed
"THAT'S MY GIRL!!" He picked me up and spun me around. "You'll be safe with us. We meet at 9AM, Wheelers house."
"Peter is going to bed so mad. I can't wait!!" I was jumping around
We spent the rest of the night talking until I fell asleep on the corner of his bed and him on the floor at the foot of his bed.
"Tiffany it's 8:45 come on. Get your lazy butt up and get in the van!" Eddie threw water on me "stop being asleep!"
"OKAY! OKAY! I'm up lets go"
Peter wakes up at 10:30 Am, every morning, I will be out of this town by then. We drove to Mike's house and got in Eddie's van. Dustin and Max hugged me when they saw me. I was so happy to be with them again. On the way we drove past 'The house' I crouched even though he couldn't see me.
We made it to the private plane waiting for us and loaded up. I got to talk to everyone and then we took off. I could see his house from there, bye bye Peter. I sat by a window and Eddie. I took a long nap resting my head on his shoulder. I had a scary dream of returning to Hawkins and coming face to face with Peter. Dustin and Eddie both woke me up cause I was crying apparently. I loved them honestly.
"Sorry guys, just a nightmare"
"It's all good" some random dude said.
Just then we entered Cali, it was so beautiful no way Peter could get to me now. I felt a massive weight lift off my shoulders. We got off the plane and went to Joyce and Hopper's new house, it turns out there was secretly a wedding they wanted all the kids to be there. No dressing up, just a casual ceremony. It was a massive house, I have no idea how they have all this money. Joyce was so sweet to me and Hopper as well. Eleven, Me and Max went to the beach after we unpacked. Later on we went to this restaurant on a pier to eat dinner. It really was amazing.
That night me, Eddie, Steve, Nancy and Robin went to a teen club. Robin found a girl to dance with while Nancy and Steve danced together. Eddie grabbed my hand and danced with me. I hesitated thinking of 001.
"I know you have Peter but we are best friends, we can dance as friends, chill out"
I laughed and let him dance with me. He put his arm around my shoulder. I did the same and the entire time we were jumping up and down to the music along with everyone else. Even though it wasn't metal Eddie was still singing to the music. It was the most fun night of my life!!
As all of us were leaving, arms clung onto each other in a line, I saw a hooded man watching us, watching Eddie and I, he was creepy. I ignored him though and went on with everyone else laughing and yelling the entire way home. I shared a room with Robin and Nancy. We all passed out on our beds when we got in the room. I really began to miss Peter, the one I was friends with, the one that just watched me from a distance, not the killer.
I woke up early with the smell of Eggos, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. I went downstairs and saw a long table, Dustin, Mike, Will, El, Lucas and Max on one side. Steve, Nancy, Robin, Jonathan and Eddie on the other side. There was an empty seat at the end of the row by Eddie. He waved for me to sit by him so I did.
"Did you have a fine sleep princess?" He asked while picking a piece of bacon up.
"Yeah..you?" I was still a bit tired
"Alright"
"Oh, hello Tiffany! Nice to see you up, El did you get enough Eggos?" Hopper laughed seeing 4 on her plate.
"Can you blame me dad?" She laughed.
Hopper sat on the end of the table near me with Joyce at the other end. We all got into a huge discussion about what we were going to do today. We ended up splitting in partners or groups so we can do what everyone wants.
"The tension I feel with you three is reaching the kitchen and almost ruined the food" some old guy with black hair, a beard, wearing an apron came in talking about Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan.
"Oh! I see you left me a place to sit how thoughtful" he spoke sarcastically and then left the room.
"Who was that?" I whispered to Hopper
"Murray..an old friend" he whispered back.
Me and Eddie planned to hang out with Jonathan since we all wanted to go to a music shop. I was into Queen and the BeeGees, and loved them! Eddie wanted something like Ozzy. I wasn't fully paying attention when he told me. We walked to the music place and bought some tapes then went to the skate and bike shop where Mike, Will, Max, and Lucas were.
"Hey guys!" I said walking in and hugging Max. "Where is Dustin and El?"
"Dustin is with Steve and El won't leave Hoppers side" Mike spoke
"Of course Dustin is with Steve" Eddie frowned
"Someone jealous?" I laughed
"No, because Steve doesn't have this" he held out the music tape.
"Ok"
"They are fixing our bikes and skateboards up, told us to come back in an hour, want to go get lunch across the street?" Max asked
"Sounds good" everyone agreed and we walked to the restaurant.
I sat by Eddie and Max, we all ordered a sandwich which was delicious. 30 minutes passed. Nancy, Steve, Robin, and Dustin decided to join us at the beach after we got the bikes and skateboards. Everything was on the beach or the pier.
"Max, why did you get three skateboards?" I asked laying in the sand
"I have one, so I'm giving you, El, and Eddie these. I will teach you and El then you can teach Eddie" she was so nice!!
"Hey guys" Eddie sat down by me with his hair in a ponytail...?
"What's wrong with your hair?" Max laughed
"I don't want it getting messed up" he looked at me
"Oh no..guys look at Steve" I rolled over laughing
He had a shower cap over his hair. Nancy didn't seem too impressed and Dustin thought he lost his mind. This was TOO funny! I kept making jokes about their hair until I took one too far and they started chasing me. I ran into the ocean with both right behind me next thing I know I was lifted into the air and put on their shoulders.
"Ready?" Steve looked at Eddie
"On 3" he said
I was struggling to get free.
"1.."
"2..."
"3!" And I was thrown into the water
Everyone was laughing and jumping, I was too but I needed to get revenge. I took Steve's plastic bag off his head, jumped on his side, making him fall, and getting his hair wet. I was laughing looking at Eddie.
"No..not my hair..no!!" He started running so I chased him. Finally I caught up to him and jumped on his back, sending him face first into the water.
"That's what you get for throwing me in the ocean"
I walked out and sat by Max on the beach, "I think I showed my dominance" smiling widely.
I glanced over to the hooded man, what was his deal, I couldn't see his face but I had a feeling he was watching me. That night I was walking back from the beach with Max then the man grabbed us and threw us in a van.
"Who are you? Why did you kidnap us? Hopper will love to meet you" I looked at Max, she was scared. So was I. Just when we left the city, I began crying.
We drove about 10 mins out of the city until the van broke down. The kidnapper got out to inspect the hood, nothing was wrong. He got back in but then the van started spinning on its own! Then it stopped.
"Let them out" it was deep dark voice coming from the front of the van
"W-who are you?" He was shaking
"Step out of the vehicle and no one gets hurt"
He slowly walked out and stood in front of the van facing another hooded person.
"You aren't no one, you're a sick twisted man, physically" and I heard what I heard that night at the drive-in
Everything was silent
"What was that?" Max asked even more scared
I didn't answer her. I knew what it was, I ran out of the van and hugged the stranger.
"I have never been more happy to see you 001" he hugged me back tighter but in a loving manner unlike last time
"I made two promises Tiff, but you did need freedom I see that now"
"Who is that??"
"Max, this is my boyfriend, Peter."
"Oh ok..so you're in love with a killer..cute I guess" she was in shock.
"Can we go back to the city now?" I asked him
"Of course let's go, I'll drive"
We got back at 12AM. Everyone was sitting outside on the porch. Eddie was..was he crying?! He was pacing back and forth then saw the van pull up by the house, everyone was still. Me and Max got out of the van as fast as we could. I ran straight to Eddie and embraced him in a hug.
"I thought you weren't going to make it back. I thought I lost my best friend" I could feel him hug me tighter
Peter got out of the van walking up to me and Eddie.
"Peter? Did you save them?"
"Of course I did, I made a promise to protect her. I love her"
"Man thank you" Eddie ran to him giving him a 'guy hug'
"Tiffany, Eddie, I would like to know how you ended up here. Tomorrow though. I'm going to rest tonight, I think all of you should too"
I went to my room with Robin and Nancy, everyone went to their rooms, Peter slept in the van. Everything was okay now. I'm happy he saved us. And I finally fell into a deep slumber.
