A/N: As many others, I've recently had a revival of adoration for Top Gun, thanks to the absolutely spectacular sequel which I was so afraid to watch because of how much I loved the first film. Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised, and am now over here writing fanfiction about my favorite fighter pilot. I hope you enjoy this little story, and please feel free to make requests <3
Not sure how many chapters this one will be. It will most likely depend on how much interest there is in a Maverick x Reader story. Currently no smut, but this may change!
I made the story in second person point of view because I wanted to try my hand at this kind of immersive writing. Let me know if you think it works because this is a first for me :)
The OC (you) is a female character, Amelia. I decided to give her a name, because why not? No Charlie in this story!
