Y/N's PoV
Our running lasted most of the dawn, seeing the sun setting in the background made this seem like a movie of some sorts
Logan:"Are we there yet..." Asked Logan with a tired expression, him and Jane didn't have the qualities me and Satori had so it was understandable
Satori:"Humans here are really much weaker..."
Y/N:"Hey those there are my friends, miss alien..."
We chuckled at our joking
Jane:"Oh look, we're here..." Said the tired girl signaling at the abandoned place of the city. It was a place with many buildings broken apart and with a vibe of some sort of ghost town
Y/N:"It's definitely here..."
Satori:"Look, there" Satori pointed to two girls that were looking into the horizon, one was sitting while the other took notes of the area
Y/N:"Might as well ask them!" Me and Satori ran to the two girls, Jane and Logan stayed behind to rest
The girls didn't take too long to notice our steps, and the one in purple clothing yelped in fear
???:"THIEVES!" She exclaimed as she got up
???2:"Run Merry, i'll entertain them!"
The one who's name seemed to be Merry began running away as we approached, the other one stood in place as she raised her fists
Y/N:"Go get the other girl Satori, don't be so scary" I asked of Satori to which she gave me a nod and flew in direction of the girl
???2:"What the-!? They have powers!?" Shouted in shock the girl with brown hair
Y/N:"Listen! We're not here to hurt you!" I tried to calm her down, only earning a serious look from her
???2:"That's what any bad one would say...be prepared! HAAAA!" She began running towards me, aiming to try to punch me out
All i did was sidestep and flick her forehead, it was enough to defeat her and put her on her knees
Timeskip
After Satori had managed to get the other girl, we invited the two to our usual cafe to spend the time and talk about our stuff, they even introduced themselves. The one with brown hair was Renko and the one with blonde hair and purple clothes was Maribel
Renko:"So...you're saying you're looking for supernatural things?" We four nodded in response
Y/N:"Pretty much, yeah"
Satori:"Something we need to investigate about, not really supernatural things, but magicians"
Renko and Maribel turned their backs to us and whispered among themselves, after a moment of that they turned to us again
Maribel:"Renko has an older sister"
Logan:"What does that have to do?.."
Renko:"Well she can be considered a Magician, she has psychic powers after all"
Psychic powers...
Satori:"When Koishi's backpack returned to her, no one was there, it could be an act from a psychic..."
Y/N:"I was thinking the same...Renko, how's your sister named?" I asked not wasting any second
Renko:"Hey woah woah, mind if you give us context?" Immediately replied Renko
Maribel:"Yeah! We deserve to know what's happening too!" Followed Maribel with determination in her voice
Me and the others nodded at each other, then looked at them
Jane:"Y/N and Satori are Youkai native from a land called Gensokyo"
Y/N:"A gap youkai named Yukari warned me of a magician that was gonna try to kill us..."
They gasped in unison, Renko talking after a moment
Renko:"That sounds terrible! No wonder you came to us, i'll go ask my sister about this" With her words, she took out her cellphone and clicked on it seemingly calling whoever her sister was
Maribel:"It mustn't be Sumireko, she's a psychic but she doesn't seem evil..."
Logan:"We might as well go and make sure..." Even if she wasn't evil, better safe than sorry right?
Me and Satori looked at each other, thinking the same about this topic from what i could tell
Satori:"I'd love to meet her in person, if that's possible" She asked, to my surprise which is what i was thinking
Maribel:"We can arrange a day for you all to reunite, if you come to our school's Secret Sealing Club we could help you meet up"
Renko:"She's the leader after all..." Said Renko while texting someone
Y/N:"That'd work fine enough..."
Logan:"It'll do, so we must only prepare in case she tries anything and we're right?"
Jane:"Sounds logical, yeah"
Can't be so safe. Maribel smiled kindly in response, having a hint of doubt on her gaze though
Maribel:"We'll see how to protect you too, but i don't know how we can take on someone like Sumireko..."
Y/N:"To confirm, this Sumireko is Renko's sister's name right?" Both Renko and Maribel nodded to answer
Renko:"And she's really kind too, she's always been good with me..." Followed Renko, placing her phone on her pocket again
Maribel:"Did she say anything?"
Renko:"For our luck, she said it was alright to have you lot in the club room as long as you didn't cause any trouble around that is" We were alright with it, if anything, she'd be the one to attack first if she's who we think can be
Y/N:"It's settled, when shall we head there then?"
Renko:"I'll send you the place through chat, we meet up at school and sometimes at the cafe so i'll let you know. Make sure you all are ready for that moment" We nodded in response
Logan:"Can we exchange numbers then?" Said Logan from behind me, making the other two react
Maribel:"A-ah, right, here!"
All ended up exchanging phone numbers with each other- except for Satori as she didn't have a phone yet -. After a small chat, Maribel and Renko had to leave to their homes as it was getting late, leaving us four to wander around while Satori carried a bag with some food she ordered before leaving
Y/N:"What's in the bag?" I asked with curiosity, earning a giggle from her
Satori:"I promised Koishi to bring food, either flan or air and i wouldn't have her starving" She waved the bag infront of her
Y/N:"Heh, sure huh-"
Jane:"LOOK OUT!"
As soon as we heard Jane's call, Logan, Jane and i jumped out of the way as i pushed Satori with me, soon a car being thrown to us and crashing with the wall behind us
Logan:"Woah, how did you see that coming!?"
Jane:"Plot power..." She helped Logan up as i helped Satori too
Y/N:"Are you alright?" I asked as she cleaned her clothes from dust
Satori:"I am..."
The next moment, we all were surrounded in purple magic cards all around us making a small cage to not be able to flee
???:"I got you! I got you all!" A masculine, forced voice said from the shadows- apparently trying to fake it -, hiding his face beneath a mask while wearing magician's clothes on him
Y/N:"It wasn't a she..." I said outloud, remembering that Renko's sister was- obviously -a girl, which let us get rid of that possibility
???:"Now that i have you! You'll pay for the death of my little ones..." Yukari was right...it was a magician, but not any magician, a father of my bullies and Sally...
Satori:"You can't defeat a Youkai with it's own tricks..." Said Satori to get his attention, making him chuckle
???:"Ah no no, i just need to bring you with me...and TORTURE you!"
We all got in position despite the danmaku cages around us, being ready for any of his-
???:"GUH!?" -his groan of pain brought us to reality as the cages disappeared, a knife had been thrown to his shoulder from behind us
As we turned to look behind, we saw a glow of green and yellow along the glow of a blue spear and one singular mask in the darkness, instantly recognizing the two
Kokoro:"Good shot..." Complimented Kokoro with her neutral tone, despite her menacing gaze
Koishi:"No one hurts Y/N-nii nor Satori-nee..." Koishi said in a dark tone, taking another knife from her sleeve while her face showed a maniac look
???:"Tch! I didn't expect those to be watching..."
Koishi didn't waste a single second as she appeared infront of him, slicing his chest with her new knife as she took the other off his shoulder and kicked him, making him back away while holding his chest
Kokoro:"Are you alright..." Asked Kokoro in general, to which we all nodded
???:"T-that was enough...we'll meet again..." With a move from his cape, he disappeared into the dread of the night. Koishi and Kokoro sighed in relief, turning to us as their faces changed to ones of excitement and happiness
Koishi:"Y/N-niiii! I was starting to get worried something had happened!" She didn't waste an instant before running to me and tackling me into a hug, i wrapped my arms around her shortly after
Jane:"What a good timing..."
Kokoro:"We were going to warn you of that guy, but he got too ahead of us"
Satori:"Thanks for the thought still, Kokoro and Koishi" Satori walked close to Kokoro, patting her head and making her smile delightfully
We got close to each other, making a circle to look at everyone
Y/N:"We'll tell Renko about this, if Sumireko really wasn't the one behind all this then we'll need her help..."
Yukari:"A magician to beat another magician, clever of you" Yukari's voice filled the air as a gap opened besides me, looking at us with a smile
Jane:"It's the gap youkai!"
Yukari:"I have a name"
Y/N:"Hi Yukari, is something wrong?" I wondered, doubt a youkai like her would bother coming to us just because
Yukari:"Ah, i just came to tell you Sumireko wasn't the culprit, but he is way closer than you'd think and could even be a friend of your's. Toddles~" What?
Y/N:"Wait what do you-!?"
It was too late as she had already left through the gap
Y/N: Does she know who the culprit is? No...she would've told us sooner- unless she wants to just watch to see what might happen...
I turned to the others, seeing them with a determined look too
Y/N:"I'm sure you heard..."
Jane:"We'll just find out who it is!" Said Jane, getting the others to join
Logan:"The arcade, school and our houses for our parents" Followed Logan, placing his hands on his waist
Satori:"I'll find out who this is with their memories" Her third eye floated up as Satori smiled
Kokoro:"No one can hide their emotions from me now, i'll see the doubt and lies through" She said with a monotone but happy tone
Koishi:"And i'll go undercover!" Koishi letted go and raised her hands in excitement
Y/N:"You guys..."
I chuckled, seeing their dedication on wanting to help
Y/N:"We might not have recognized his voice, but we'll find them soon enough. Team, we're on the case!" I raised my hand to the air
All:"Yeah!" They all said in unison while following my move
